Abstract:
The main characteristics of youth leisure, its structural and informative aspects are revealed in the article. Particular emphasis is placed on the forms of self-organization during leisure activities by young people. Among young people there is a differentiation both in terms of time allocated for leisure and in terms of its possibilities. At older youth ages, material possibilities increase, but at the same time, unconditioned leisure is replaced by various forms of coordinated and additional leisure. Compensatory leisure begins to play a big role. Younger youths are characterized by extra-familial forms of leisure, focused on communication with peers. The limited material resources, lack of urban leisure infrastructure lead to the active use of extra-institutional forms of leisure. Such forms of leisure, based on its independent organization of young people, allow to implement the basic functions of leisure. At the same time, they increase the likelihood of passive-entertaining and anti-social types of leisure activities.

Abstract:
Cultural and leisure activities play a key role in the organization of leisure and recreation within the hotel business. However this area has not yet been sufficiently studied. Therefore, research in this area has great promise and relevance for further progress in the field of hospitality. The modern entertainment industry has become an integral part of hotel activities. The current trend of hotels — meeting the increasing needs of customers — involves offering a wide range of leisure forms. Cultural and leisure activities contribute to the development of aesthetic and emotional perception of the individual. Organizing leisure activities is also a source of additional income, and the greater the variety of activities offered, the higher the hotel's reputation and the greater the company's profits. The purpose of this study is to assess the potential and significance of the development and implementation of cultural and leisure events, as well as to create, on the basis of this, a recreation program for guests.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to show, using the example of Daghestan, the traditional forms of leisure and their transformation at the present time. The sources for its writing were the studies of Russian ethnographers, as well as the field material of the author. Traditional forms of leisure, like other components of everyday culture, are closely related to the lifestyle, worldview and religious beliefs of peoples. The natural-geographical, economic conditions of Daghestan, the peculiarities of the norms and stereotypes of interpersonal, social relationsб developed over the centuries, as well as the dynamics of the ethno-cultural characteristics in the modern time - these and other factors underlie the formation of a pronounced, recognizable originality of leisure culture Daghestanis. Both in everyday life, and on holidays, not only collective leisure, ritual meals, fun, and relaxation were needed, but also mutual assistance, material and physical participation in the organization and conduct of leisure activities. The article notes that in our days, an awakened interest in traditional culture is expressed in the return to folk forms of leisure, in their revival. Examples are given that confirm the thesis that a changing way of life ultimately leads to the transformation of forms of leisure. It is emphasized that the main part of the traditional leisure was aimed at the all-round development of the personality, physical improvement, as well as entertainment. Over time, almost all traditional forms of leisure were transformed or completely lost, and in their place came other models, not always the best, but generally corresponding to the modern way of life of the people.

Abstract:
The aim of this study is to increase the knowledge and understanding of how leisure-time pedagogues´ professional identity is changed as a consequence of altered governance and resulting new tasks. More specifically the study is oriented towards understanding how external demands for quality accounts, assessments and documentation in leisure-time centers and schools, affect leisure-time pedagogues´ practice of their profession and professional identity, and how the leisure-time pedagogues relate to these demands. The empirical data are generated through interviews with 23 leisure-time pedagogues, 8 school leaders, document analyses, and a survey among 105 leisure-time pedagogues. The analysis draws on profession theories perspective and concepts like knowledge base, jurisdiction and discretion to understand what is central in the leisure-time pedagogues’ profession and in what direction the profession is developing: de-professionalization, professionalization or re-configuration. Bourdieu´s sociological theories with concepts of field, capital and habitus are also used for understanding of the leisure-time pedagogues´ positions, actions, and explicit relations to other professional groups. The results indicate dilemmas that the leisure-time pedagogues face related to far-going decentralisation, introduction of new public management, reduced resources, and closer links between leisure-time centres and schools. Working with traditional methods creates problems and it becomes hard to balance the work between leisure-time centre and school. The thesis shows that leisure-time pedagogues constantly conduct independent individual assessments that are mainly hidden. This has not been pointed out before but is linked to the leisure-time pedagogues´ professional identity. Assessment as an accounting task has on the other hand been added in connection with the transfer to the educational sector and altered forms of governance. Leisure-time pedagogues are both ambivalent and critical to these demands for transparency and accountability. Even though the leisure-time pedagogues are subjected to increased control and expected to work more with assessments in different forms, and are forced to reduce their professional work in leisure-time centres, we cannot entirely talk about de-professionalization. Also features of professionalization and signs of reconfiguration of the profession are visible. The thesis illustrates that the profession of leisure-time pedagogue is being reshaped and that the leisure-time pedagogues’ professional identity can be understood in different ways. The thesis also illustrates how a core of traditional knowledge base stands out as central for most of the professionals in the various professional identities that are found. The differences that are found are related to the local governance of schools’ organisation; to what extent the leisure-time pedagogues’ work is placed in the compulsory school day; and how strong the leisure-time pedagogues’ collective base is in the school unit.

Abstract:
[toliau žr. visą tekstą]<br>In 1918-1940. Abstract:
Over the past 20 years, scrapbooking has become immensely popular in America. This dissertation is the study of scrapworthy lives, that is, how lives become structured by scrapbooking and how people show others that their own life and the lives of their loves ones are value—or scrapworthy. I conducted in-depth interviews with 38 scrapbookers, 11 scrapbook industry workers, and 10 family and friends of scrapbookers. I also used photo-elicitation interviewing techniques with both the scrapbookers and the family members and friends of 10 scrapbookers to examine a selection of scrapbook pages the respondents had completed. I used grounded theory methods to analyze my data, providing a more thorough understanding of scrapbooking. Scrapbooks are a site where people socially construct a narrative of their life. Through scrapbooking, scrapbookers do gender, family, race, ethnicity, and religion. Stratification within the larger society can be seen within the scrapbooking thought community. Moreover, through scrapbooking, people can demonstrate their membership in other thought communities (e.g., motherhood). Though scrapbookers are able to demonstrate their gender, family status, race, ethnicity, and religion through scrapbooking, the hobby is done primarily for the scrapbookers and not for others. Scrapbooking is a leisure activity, though some may consider it as a form of work. Scrapbookers are a thought community in their own right and an excellent site to explore Zerubavel’s (1997) six cognitive acts (i.e., perceiving, classifying, reckoning time, attending, assigning meaning, and remembering). In particular, scrapbookers come to classify nearly everything (including people, things, time, and space) in the world around them as either scrapworthy or not. Scrapbooks are a modern narrative form, though versions of scrapbooks have been around for centuries. Scrapbooks are memorials about everyday life. The content of scrapbooks is what is left out of the typical history book but is considered just as memorable by scrapbookers. Scrapbookers are storytellers. These stories could just as easily be passed down orally or recorded on blogs and some scrapbooks combine elements of oral histories and blogs. Ultimately, scrapbooks are memorials about the scrapbooker.

Our objectives were: to understand the organization and functioning of the League, describe and analyze football s events championship in 2010 and study the practices that constitute this veterans football on and off the field. This, through a methodology inspired both ethnography and oral history, composed of 43 field diaries, 460 images, official documents (acts, statutes, regulations) and news of the city's only daily newspaper, the Journal Agora. In addition, we conducted two interviews and the collection of oral testimony and the record notes of informal conversations with members of the League. We observed that participants take ownership of football with different goals, which they require dedication that even outside space-time formal games promoted by the Liga de Veteranos. We identified the LVRG while leisure environment that promotes the meeting of its members on different occasions, promoting sociability. We also had noted that this league presented some singularities in their football, particularly in the distribution of specific functions, such as coaching, and promote the organization and discipline football<br>Neste trabalho, tratamos do futebol sob sua forma menos espetacularizada, que é praticada, prioritariamente, como lazer.

The theme highlights the importance of seeing children and adolescents as subjects of rights that need special attention because they are in the development process. Leisure is one of the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), because at this stage of life, playing it is something serious, in the sense that the child, through social interaction, develops physically and mentally. The research was done from three analytical categories: rural children, leisure and tradition and modernity in the playground. The literature revealed that the rural area has undergone changes over the years, and cultural urbanization that has taken place in the field, especially in places nearby towns and also due to the access to media that has contributed to this. Considering that the study communities are close to the urban center, we investigate the spaces and forms of recreation for children in rural areas with the following objectives: identify traditions and modernity in forms of recreation for children in rural areas; analyze how the socializing institutions conceive playground in rural areas; investigate public policies aimed at playground in rural areas; investigate spaces of imagination and creativity of the rural child. The investigation was a descriptive method with inductive approach. The survey data for documentary research was conducted through a literature review. The analysis included children from first to fifth year of primary School Municipal José Valente Lopes Nephew which is located in Old Station - Rural Zone of Viçosa. Participants were 59 children who come from communities Buieié, Santa Tereza, Silencio, Zig Zag, Estação Velha and Violeira. In addition, some of the children's parents and school teachers also collaborated through questionnaires. Through research it was concluded that school and home are the main recreational areas used by children and the fear of violence, revealed by many parents, destroying the idyllic vision that many urban usually do in rural areas. Furthermore, it was found that most have difficulties accessing various types of leisure for reasons such as the lack of public transportation, lack of public places safe for the experience of pleasure, thus highlighting the neglect of local government.<br>O objeto desta dissertação são as crianças, especificamente aquelas que vivem no meio rural.

It investigates the conceptions of leisure and recreation of students of the Graduate Course in a Department of Physical Education. Today there is great interest in the idea of leisure and recreation, principally in Physical Education courses. Although these studies highly appreciate leisure and recreation as reachable possibilities in the formation of new citizens, we have noted that the contents divulged in these courses are limited to only one field of interest of leisure, physical-sports, ignoring the cultural diversity of the contents that permeate this question. The possibility of establishing multidisciplinary actions about leisure and recreation are therefore lost because of this. This study is based on the conception of leisure and recreation from the point of view of scholars of the Sociology of Leisure like Dumazedier, Heloisa Bruhns, Bramante, H?lder Isayama, Christianne Werneck and especially N?lson Carvalho Marcellino. He is the author of innumerable works about the idea and has contributed a lot to a more humanistic and educative view of leisure. As the methodological perspective of this study we describe it as a qualitative investigation, recognizing that for its objectives this angle would lead us to a better contemplation of the data. Analysis of this data revealed that the conceptions of leisure and recreation of the graduate students are still diffuse, uncritical and very little consistent.<br>O presente trabalho est? inserido na linha de pesquisa Universidade, Doc?ncia e Forma??o de Professores , e investiga as concep??es de lazer e recrea??o dos discentes do curso de gradua??o de uma faculdade de Educa??o F?sica. Abstract:
In many European regions, rural areas are facing major challenges in economic and social terms, consequence of transformations in the role and meaning of agriculture. The loss of the productive character strongly contributed to the emergence of new roles and functions, particularly related to leisure and tourism. The book aims to discuss questions directly related to the connections between rural tourism and local socioeconomic contexts, presenting diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives and diff erent case studies from various European regions. The book addresses the relationships among rural tourism and the complex interactions, confl icts and innovative processes developing in rural territories as consequence of the implementation of tourism activities. The book responds to some relevant and not yet comprehensively researched aspects within this topic, especially in what extent tourism, in its various forms and processes, might give an important contribution to rural development.

Abstract:
Abstract Worth the While presents comparative case studies of clock time from Fiji and Finland in order to ask what other values is time capable of expressing besides monetary worth – what “else” can time be besides money? Time is a highly particular vehicle for different considerations of what is good or important, but it is also one which is deployed at different settings with surprisingly little consideration for the specificity of this particular a value form. This book looks into the different ways in which time is deployed in value projects in Fiji and Finland, not just to point out the various possible ways of allocating value to time, but to show that European clock-time, just like its Oceanic counterparts, requires a great deal of conceptual work to make it serve as vehicle of valuation. The cases analysed in the book range from considerations of rank and conspicuous leisure in Fiji to Finnish timebanking, taxation, and university auditing.

Abstract This cluster of articles, relating to education, leisure, and culture, affirm not only the right of every child to learn and play in a safe and stimulating environment, respectful of their own culture and language, but also insist on the importance of respecting the child’s agency and contribution to their own development.Article 28, the right to education, builds on earlier provisions in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and sets out in detail the right to access education. It emphasises that primary education should be both free and compulsory for every child, that secondary education made available to every child, and that higher education should be available according to capacity. Education must be provided on the basis of equality of opportunity at all levels, all forms of school discipline must be administered in a manner consistent with the child’s dignity, be provided with equality, and states must make efforts to address school drop-out.

The study examines the impact of offshore wind farm (OWF) development on tourism and leisure activities in France, focusing on the perceptions of tourism stakeholders and impacts on local tourism practices. It aims to understand how coastal destinations can adapt to the developement of OWFs, considering the emergence of new services and form of industrial tourism. The methodology employs surveys and spatial analysis to assess the impacts on tourism and perceptions for three French OWF project. This study also explores new tourism opportunities related to OWFs, analyses their connections with other forms of tourism, and compares the potential impacts across the three projects. The findings establish a baseline for long-term monitoring of OWF impacts on tourism and recreational activities. The study concludes that OWFs can drive the tourism economy, depending on existing forms of tourism and the industry’s ability to capitalize on this new diversification opportunity. It defines offshore wind energy tourism and places it in the broader context of other forms of tourism, based on initial observations from the three case studies.

The essay deals with the thought of E.P. Thompson with reference to the transformation of work behavior. Moving from the presentation of his peculiar historiographical approach, the essay critically examines the article he devoted to the emergence of a discipline, at work and in everyday life, that made the establishment of the capitalist industrial model possible. The categories of task-oriented work of pre-industrial societies, and time-oriented work of industrialized societies, are discussed. The main elements through which working and non-working time has been regulated and the emergence of new forms of leisure are presented. In closing, the applicability of the two categories as ideal types for reading the forms of work in the industrial societies of the global world is proposed.

AbstractThis chapter offers an interpretation of British regional civil defence activities in the 1950s. I argue that the persistent social impact of nationwide sociotechnical imaginaries of nuclear weapons cannot be fully understood without considering the localised social, geographical and discursive contexts in which civil defence was located and enacted. This chapter traces the ways in which a wider (officially maintained) sociotechnical imaginary appears to have been embedded in and intertwined with these localised contexts. After discussing the bespoke narrative scenarios created to frame civil defence exercises and offering analysis of their public representation, I focus on sites of leisure and forms of civic engagement linked to civil defence activity. Lastly, I turn to imaginative geographies to explore how sociotechnical imaginaries became localised in this era.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to explore the role of cycling tourism in promoting sustainable urban mobility and environmentally friendly tourism practices, with a focus on the Czech Republic. The study investigates the motivations, behaviors, and preferences of cycling tourists, particularly in the post-COVID-19 context. Findings reveal that relaxation and exploring new destinations are primary motivations for cyclists, who favor dedicated cycling paths over mixed road traffic. Generation Z tends to use bicycles for leisure activities with friends, rather than for long-distance touring. Contrary to expectations, the availability of charging stations for e-bikes is not yet a significant factor influencing cycling route choices in the country. The results also show that, during long-distance cycling trips, tourists tend to prefer local guesthouses or alternative forms of accommodation over hotels. Cyclists also prioritize routes that are close to amenities such as dining facilities, highlighting the importance of accessible infrastructure. Furthermore, after the pandemic, there has been a shift towards active forms of mobility, such as walking and cycling, over the use of public transport. This study provides valuable insights into how cycling tourism can contribute to sustainability goals by promoting eco-friendly travel options and encouraging urban planners to develop cycling-friendly infrastructure. The findings suggest that cycling tourism is an important driver of sustainable urban mobility, offering a model for integrating tourism with broader urban development strategies focused on reducing environmental impacts.

Abstract:
Purpose – Numerous new forms aimed at meeting the sophisticated needs of modern consumers characterize tourism, as one of the fastest growing sectors in the world. In such conditions, the concept of slow tourism gained importance accompanied with a strong need to slow down the pace of life. The aim of this paper is, in addition to explaining this phenomenon, to examine the manner of travel when visiting slow destinations in the autonomous province of Vojvodina, as well as to determine the goals and outcomes of tourist visits. Methodology – For the purposes of the research, authors form list of goals, outcomes and mode of travel. The list of goals and outcomes expected after the trip in the questionnaire was taken and adjusted to the scale applied by the authors Oh, Assaf and Baloglu (2016), while authors introduced some question to the last segment of questions about the mode of travel. Findings – Based on the results, it is concluded that the ways of travel of slow tourists are largely related to the goals and outcomes of tourists who visited Vojvodina, and all tourists included in this study are highly satisfied with Vojvodina as a slow destination. Contribution – The contribution of this study is reflected in the fact that slow tourism has not been sufficiently researched in Vojvodina, and this study is significant because it initiated research on this topic, which can be a great potential of this region.

Abstract:
During the second half of the 20th century, we are witnessing the revival of ensembles of St. Petersburg and its suburbs, destroyed in the period of 1920-30 and during the Great Patriotic War. The reconstruction, restoration and renovation of architectural monuments are accompanied by significant changes in the socio-cultural space: monuments are coming back to life, new educational routes and leisure places are being formed. The transformation of the cultural space of the city, the change in the role of the museum and the forms of museification of the environment, forms of communication and translation of the values of society - all this requires theoretical understanding.

Purpose – the Tourism-Led Economic Growth Hypothesis (TLGH) is fundamental to the development of the tourism countries. The following research stresses the ever-growing importance of knowledge and creativity– through various disciplines – on national competitiveness and overall economic and tourism development. Emphasis will be given to the particulars of the tourism industry, the achieved level of economic growth, the tourism and economic competitiveness as well as the level of creativity. The study asserts that the nation’s economic and tourism development corresponds to the acquired competitiveness and creativity level. Methodology – the relationship between the variables which indicate economic and tourism development, knowledge, competitiveness and creative economy, will be examined through the comparative study on the case of EU countries (EU28). Multiple linear regression model (MLR) is tested on the case of Croatia (IBM SPSS). Findings – in today’s global crisis, one of the ways to promote economic wealth and growth is supporting service and creative industries. Tourism, as a part of the economic growth model, has a strong positive impact on the creative economy and competitiveness. The optimal development model of tourism economies is global comprehensive approach and it encompasses multidisciplinary relationship with all economic activities. Competitiveness, creativity, economic and tourism growth can be used as variables in forecasting tourism demand and tourism consumption. Contribution – the research’s contribution is reflected in a comprehensive study of the competitiveness and creative economy with a particular emphasis on tourism. The proposed macroeconomic model forms an excellent basis for the conduction of an economic policy and the employment of the appropriate instruments.

The importance of these activities which belong both to human nature and culture has been stressed by many modern and contemporary philosophers and educationists (Schiller, Huizinga, Simon, etc.). In recent years, the Polish sociologist and philosopher Zygmunt Baumann, father of so-called "liquid theory" of society, has discussed the role and function of play and game within postmodern society. Pedagogy as a theoretical and practical science of education highlights the importance of examining and studying all human games in order to identify those that can be better used as a means to promote education and its values in the context of leisure. Sort pedagogy as a science of physical and leisure activity is interested in this topic. To be clear, this science is interested in studying sport as a recreational activity which always implies body actions, movement, and play/game. For this reason, among the points of view of the sciences dealing with the study of human games, that of sport pedagogy can be seen as one of the most capable of explaining, comprehending and understanding what play and game really are and their meaning for the person and her/his education. The digital revolution and the advent of virtual reality in all its forms (mainly 3D) we experience in our everyday life have created new scenarios for developing new educational games and virtual ways to play the sports. All these scenarios frame and mark a new digital era in which communication technologies give rise to new trends in education, and edutainment (a concept expressing both education and entertainment) plays a fundamental role and function. For this reason, starting from this cultural analysis and utilizing a hermeneutical methodological approach, our study will classify, first all, the different types of educational games, and show their implications from a theoretical point of view. Secondly, it will stress the importance of sport pedagogy in studying the issues dealing with this specific research field. Our aim is to show that digital and virtual games are emerging tools capable of fostering leisure along with health, exercise, and sport. We want to demonstrate that this kind of games allows pupils and children as digital natives to learn and to be educated in a true educational way, that is playing. In conclusion, because of their being wonderful tools to improve learning skills and to promote educational values and the sports in their different aspects, educational and virtual reality-based games have not to be considered with suspicion by educators and (physical education) teachers but a great opportunity to teach and learn.

Abstract:
"Psychology is currently facing global challenges that with necessity lead to the emergence of fundamentally new trends and patterns in the theory and practice of personality psychology. From the point of view of theory, there is a constant rethinking of changes in the structure and content of identity - personal, sociocultural, ethnic. In practice, there are no less significant processes associated with approaches and methods in diagnostics and counseling. These changes are associated with the expansion of the virtual space of identification and self-realization. In the last year, the changes associated with quarantine for COVID 19 have become of great importance. The frustration of real space, which often connects with a narrowing of the time perspective, leads not only to an increase in the role of virtual space, but also to intensification of the role of network identity and the development of various forms of Internet communication, counseling and leisure activities. It appears that new trends will become more significant and constant in the future. Therefore, it is imperative to discuss the new forms of narrative and virtual identity, the directions for further change and their positive and negative impact on the identification and well-being of both young and old people."

Abstract:
This research aims to develop game training kits for Muay Thai sports in order to make Muay Thai training a leisure exercise. The training armor is equipped with 5 sensors to measure stinging forces and 5 light signals. There are three levels of light jamming time, including 1 second for beginners, 0.8 seconds for intermediate skilled athletes and 0.5 for professionals. In the light of the light signal, there are 9 forms of sticking. The research has developed a force measurement system and a real-time transmission program system to be displayed on the screen. Score counts can be accumulated for the same escalation as playing games. 15 participants from athletes and trainers tested the training equipment, with three minutes of continuous sting tests in each round and six punches in total. The results showed that the training equipment has good performance. The transmission program system can display punches, scores and counts of punches in real time, and can be statistically recorded to know the development of the athletes. The participants suggested adding sensor installation points and faster light fixture times.

Abstract:
The authors' focus in outdoor activities as means to increase the life quality has materialized in a new work, which brings up the use of technology in the training at high altitude of the trekkers. The work focused on the individual altitude adaptation capacity, as aspect of interest, knowing that the success of a mountain climb decisively depends on such adaptation capacity. Event though great changes have occurred in our living patterns during the last decades, staying in touch with nature and finding a common rhythm with it are fundamental to a meaningful life. Living in a technical, aseptically environment doesn't diminish the need to stay in contact with nature and all kinds of outdoor activities. That is in fact one of the major ingredients of life quality. Lately, leisure time has become more consistent and the individual soften consider it as seriously as we consider work. That is the reason we are interested in professionalizing the leisure activities, in terms of absorbing principles, rules, methods, that usually are relevant in sports training, in order to get maximum of progress and satisfaction out of them. Beyond scenery and achieving harmony with spectacular nature, many forms of outdoor recreation aim at increasing fitness levels by pushing participants far beyond their usual functional levels. Trekking gains a prevailing position among the sporting leisure activities, accessed by individuals of any ages, due to its polyvalent nature. Its action on the functional component of the human body is completed at same level by the positive effects over the psychic-social side level of the participant. The activity fosters the more and more accentuated orientation of the individuals toward activities combining the personal disposition to adventure and action in nature with the pleasure to travel and know different places, persons and cultures. The biodiversity elements provided by the mountain environment, as well as the existence of routes of different difficulty levels matching the training levels and spirit of adventure of all the participants are the main factors which encourage individuals to choose more often destinations providing trekking routes within the touristic program. Assuming the outdoor activities is an initiative, which, except the training level intended to the special effort involved and the trekking skills, implies logistics related to: establishing the route based on a map, choosing the optimal period of time according to the meteorological forecasts for the concerned area, using of the orientation and route follow-up devices (magnetic compass, GPS device) throughout the trekking session under severe weather conditions, as well as the electronic devices and software able to monitor the trends in the status of the main trekkers' body functions facing the effort at altitude in order to maintain the stress within the safety limits specific for each individual. The trekking route success decisively depends on the body's altitude adaptation capacity, and on the participant's workload-supporting capability level

Abstract:
In this paper we discuss the importance of families for understanding economic inequality. Family structure can in principle be an amplifier or mitigator of economic inequality. We describe three channels on how families shape economic inequality. First, how people match to form families matters for inequality across families. Second, parental investments in children can amplify existing inequalities across generations. Third, inequality can exist even within families, and the economic environment can shape inequality in consumption and leisure between spouses. In this survey we describe these channels and discuss the related literature.
