Abstract:
Sommaren år 2000 började jag arbeta som frilanceskribent för den österbottniska regionaltidningen Vasabladet. Jag jobbade på sportredaktionen och min uppgift var att skriva referat av lokala matcher i fotbollens division 2. Det var första gången jag skrev något som skulle publiceras, och nervös som jag var bad jag om råd av en av de mera rutinerade sportjoumalistema, närmare bestämt min far. Rådet jag fick löd: "Tänk på att texten skall vara lätt att läsa och skriv om sånt som läsarna är intresserade av". Exakt hur detta skulle gå till fick jag inget svar på. För att ta reda på vad läsarna kunde tänkas vara intresserade av bläddrade jag igenom ett antal matchreferat som tidigare publicerats i tidningen. Eftersom jag hade läst en hel del idrottstexter förut var den stiltypiska terminologin med sina "kanoner" och "fantomräddningar" mig bekant sedan tidigare. När jag nu läste igenom texterna med frågan "Hur?" i bakhuvudet, fann jag vissa tendenser som jag inte hade iakttagit förut. Det som slog mig allra tydligast var likheten i texternas form och innehåll. Jag fick intrycket av att de nästan alla följde samma struktur: först kom resultatet, sedan matchförloppet och till sist intervjuer och framtidsutsikter - lite ingående i varandra men presenterade i texten i denna ordning.

Sånär som på det sista temat kunde man tro att vi har att göra med synnerligen traditionell etnologi och folkoristik. Att så inte är fallet bevisas av artiklarna en för en. Det som dock är intressantare att notera är att en viss traditionstrohet vad gäller ämnesvalet samtidigt fortsätter att profilera våra vetenskaper.

Abstract:
Denna empiriska studie utforskar barns perspektiv på delaktighet i syfte att få fördjupad kunskap om barns upplevelser av delaktighet inom lagidrott och individuell idrott. Semistrukturerade gruppintervjuer genomfördes med 32 barn i ridsport, orientering, friidrott, basket, fotboll och handboll. En tematisk analys visade att delaktighet för barnen inbegrep maktaspekter, sociala relationer, gemenskap och grupptillhörighet. Barn som utövade individuell idrott hade mer inslag av barnledda aktiviteter än lagidrotter. Barns incitament att påverka skiljde sig åt inom framförallt lagidrotterna där yngre barn prioriterade att ha roligt och ville bestämma mer medan äldre barn prioriterade utveckling och att tränaren därför skulle bestämma då barnen ansåg att tränaren visste bäst. Hinder för delaktighet visade sig framförallt inom lagidrotter där stora grupper innebar mindre möjlighet att påverka beslut och känna social tillhörighet.

Under sin barndom deltar de flesta i idrottsrörelsen. I befolkningen som helhet sker den vanligaste typen av ideellt arbete inom idrotten. En anledning till idrottsrörelsens popularitet är att den utgör ett bra tillfälle att vara fysiskt aktiv, att röra på sig, springa, hoppa, spela fotboll, simma och annat. Samhällsutvecklingen har annars inneburit minskande krav på rörelse. Sakta men säkert bygger vi bort alla vardagens tillfällen till fysisk aktivitet. Digitalisering är väl den senaste stora förändringen, men vi har länge arbetat hårt för att få bort behoven av att röra oss med hjälp av bilar, bussar, hissar, rulltrappor och så vidare. I skolan tränas det uppväxande släktet i att sitta still. Många av oss vuxna är fast framför kontorens datorer. Men Världshälsoorganisationen (WHO) rekommenderar att vi rör på oss mer och många har stegmätare för att uppnå 10 000 steg. Barn och unga ska vara fysiskt aktiva minst en timme om dagen. För att nå dessa rekommendationer sätts hoppet till idrottsrörelsen och idrott på fritiden då skolans ämne idrott och hälsa inte på långa vägar når målen.

Abstract:
The aim of this contribution is to summarize the state of the functional characteristics of soccer players. Th e key points addressed in the study are motion model structures player in the game and physiological parameters that can aff ect a player‘s performance in the match. Physiological parameters and model physical structures in football are addressed in a number of studies and constantly stress the need for sophisticated scientifi c approach to the player‘s performance in the game. In the survey study, we proceed from the results and conclusions of studies published in foreign scientifi c journals or presented at important posts of scientifi c conferences. Player positions are characterized by distinct physical demands in the model motion structure and bioenergetic expenditure and planning training process should respect the following aspects. Players must match within a short period of time to react to changes in direction or manage football in the intensity of locomotion. During the match aerobic and anaerobic overlap metabolism in terms of intensity loads. Th e player must repeatedly perform in a match of high intensity activity with rapid recovery of energy resources and delaying the maximum fatigue emerging. Th e diff erence between elite players and lower level is the amount of physical activities performed at high intensities. Due to fatigue at the end of the game players appear less smooth coordination and implementation of technical skills. Based on surveillance studies diff erent views and determinants of the functional readiness of the player were identifi ed. Th e dominant role is played by the following criteria: player´s level (professional, amateur, etc.), competition (international, national, etc.), post player, tasks player´s stage game and game system.

In recent years, close interconnection between sports and marketing can be noticed. As an example we can mention sponsorship as well as targeting in connection with ticketing and merchandising. Sports disciplines and sports clubs are characterized by long time loyalty of their fans. This typical sports feature has become attractive for company marketers. This paper aims at analyzing the fans base of Prague league football teams. The method of representative marketing survey is applied to achieve this goal. First, the percentage of the Prague population that is interested in football is analyzed. Thereafter the indentified fans base is classified by socio-demographic characteristics. The key issue of the article is the percentage categorization of Prague population supporting each of the league clubs. Further on are also analyzed topics like lifelong loyalty to the club and heredity of the fandom. This study wants to bring practical results to professionals who are engaged in sports marketing, mainly in marketing communication and sponsorship.

Abstract:
The theory called the Relative Age Effect (RAE) has been discussed in many sports for decades. It is based on the assumption that athletes born in the early months of the year have an advantage over the athletes born later in that particular year. The influence of earlier birthdate was proved particularly during adolescence, relatively younger individuals are often more advanced mentally and physically as well as in terms of fitness. Therefore, they are usually labelled as sports talents. This benefit can significantly affect the probability of being selected into elite group of athletes or national teams. In the present research we investigated whether the effect of RAE can be proven in the players in the European Football Championship 2016. The research sample included players from all 24 participating teams (n = 552), the research data were obtained from http://www.eurofotbal.cz/euro-20/ and were analysed based on selected criteria (player position, date of birth, ranking in the groups). Statistical analysis of the research data showed that the influence of RAE is statistically significant in all players in the championship (χ2 = 69,82, p = 0.00). The analysis of the influence of RAE on rank in the group showed that the influence of the RAE. When considering the influence of the RAE on individual player positions, the effect was nonsignificant only in forward position players (χ2 = 6,37, p = 0.09). The above results showed a similar degree of influence of RAE on adult footballers (participants of ME 2016), then it is in youth age categories. RAE issues in sport can be considered as significant and especially coaches in youth categories should be familiar with it.

Physical load during football match evokes significant depletion of glycogen stores. Intermittent natureof exercise including repeated maximal short sprints is associated with rapid muscle glycogen breakdown.With respect to quality of training process and to optimal performance in football game, especiallywith multiple matches in a week, replenishment of exercise capacity after training and matches isimportant. Restoration of glycogen stores is a primary focus of recovery. Ingesting carbohydrate duringexercise helps support performance and preserves sports skills to optimal extent in course of the wholematch duration. Successful recovery requires players to consume an adequate quantity (up to 9 g/kgof body mass) of preferably high glycemic carbohydrates. Carbohydrate-protein mixtures may reducethe delayed onset of muscle soreness caused by eccentric character of some physical loads.

The education level of the population is generally of growing importance. It is an essential elementof social and economic growth of society and individuals. The very specific problem is the educationof the active, primarily elite (professional) sportsmen influencing their current personal developmentaccompanied simultaneously operating and often contradictory requirements of educational processand cultivation of the sports performance. The objective of the provided study was to discover andanalyze the educational structure of contemporary football professionals – representatives of theCzech Republic and football players at the performance level with the male population of the CzechRepublic in attempt to explain the main cause of differences in this structure. The survey included42 representatives of the Czech Republic and 111 football players at the performance level. In the researchmethods of semistructured directed interview and a questionnaire – survey were applied. Dataprocessing was based on descriptive statistics, a method of data categorization was used, including thepercent expression of frequencies. The comparison of the obtained data indicates that there are moremutual causes which could influent differences in the educational structures of examined probands,they are changeable and determined by variables rising from conditions of social, family or footballenvironment. As estimated, the major differences were found in the group of contemporary footballrepresentative players where the influence of social, family and football environment was presentedby the absence of the category ‘university education’.

The case study analyzes the security policy of FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil. This study aims to present the greatest risks associated with organizing events of such magnitude and analyze strategic Brazils approach to ensure security during the championship. Among the biggest security risks of the championship were classified areas as terrorism, crime, social protests, spectator violence and hooliganism, cyber threats and health hazards. The paper also focuses on the actual process of championships and the consequences which brought about.

This paper deals with social prevention and pedagogic activities in the field of countering spectator violence (interconnected with sport). General framework of the whole issue is realized. Highly developed activities of the governmental as well as non-governmental sphere in Germany are described (streetwork, crisis intervention, individual assistance etc.). German experiences are confronted with experiences from the Czech Republic (association Pro Fotbal Fans, for example). Role of international organization is mentioned (mostly Council of Europe, UEFA and FIFA, including Fans Embassies project). Recommendations for educational sphere in the Czech Republic are included in conclusion.

Abstract:
The article deals with the motivation of consumers of professional sports clubs of football, hockey and floorball to visit matches. Despite the apparent small increase in long-term attendance in selected sports, the average number of visitors compared to foreign countries is significantly lower. The impact can have several aspects, ranging from the unattractive matches or the players who are playing for the club, the bad priced pricing policy of individual clubs, the lack of promotion of the match, etc. To find out the results, the questionnaire survey was used during the individual sports matches, processed and evaluated. It has been found that the most frequent motives for visiting sports matches of selected sports are primarily the people with whom the people go to the match and then the feeling of relaxation and the atmosphere associated with the given match. Ticket prices, even personalities and individuality who are playing for the club, don’t play a role in deciding process.

Článek sleduje různé podoby transnacionalismu v prostředí sportovních arén, a to v současných i historických kontextech. Hlavním teoreticko-kritickým cílem je přispět k precizaci a zvýšení analytické užitečnosti konceptu transnacionalismu. Transnacionalismus je odlišen nejen od globalizace a jejích derivátů, ale také (a speciálně) od "internacionality". Napětí uvnitř transnacionálního leží mezi dvěma (zřídka i více) pociťovanými či vyjadřovanými alternativními národně definovanými příslušnostmi či identitami, zatímco v internacionálním je tenze situována mezi národní a nadnárodní prostředí. Nacionalismus tak hraje důležitou a nenahraditelnou roli při konstituci transnacionální situace a zkušenosti. Empirické příklady jsou převzaty z různých sportů, avšak primární referenční bod tvoří fotbal. K sociologickému výkladu transnacionální zkušenosti (nejen ve sportu) je využito historické i fenomenologické perspektivy. Transnacionální zkušenost je zasazena do kontextu mezinárodní sportovní migrace ve stále propojenějším globalizovaném světě.

The present paper focuses on how the Czechoslovak society received and reacted to the live radio broadcasting of FIFA World Cup in 1934. The public listening to the running commentaries raised the interest in sports among new social strata and in new geographic areas of the then Czechoslovakia. Radio broadcastings undoubtedly provoked a higher sensibility of listeners, as the example examined in this paper of the spread of rumours concerning the death of several Czechoslovak players, proved. The last part of the present paper looks at how the broadcasting of FIFA World Cup became a Czechoslovakian site of memory.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to determine and compare the state of aerobic capacity of a men's professional soccer team against the oldest junior elite team at the beginning of practice period. The group of the adult players consisted of 17 players (age: 23,5 ± 3,2 years, body weight: 76,5 ± 4,2 kg, height: 183,3 ± 3,2 cm, BMI: 22.8 ± 0.7 kg.m-2) the Under 19 group consisted of 14 players (age: 18.3 ± 0.2 years, body weight: 74.9 ± 6.5 kg, height: 181.5 ± 6.3 cm and BMI: 22.8 ± 0.7 kg.m-2). Monitoring and evaluation of aerobic parameters used the Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test 1 (Yo-Yo IRT1). The difference between the groups was statistically significant when comparing averages of the results based on the overall distance run and parameter VO2max. Differences in parameters HRmax and decrease of HR in a 1 minute were not statistically significant. A transition from a junior category to an adult one puts significant demands on the speed within the game and performance of individual in-game activities. All the surveyed parameters are only a necessary prerequisites for top performance in a match.

There is a worldwide increase in efforts to support talents' development towards elite athletes. The focus of the study was the learning processes among athletes that facilitate this development. Drawing on the learning dispositions concept (Carr & Claxton, 2002), the aim was to create knowledge on the prevalence and possible consequences of variability in learning patterns among pupils enrolled in Nationell Idrottsutbildning Fotboll (NIUF)—a highly selective soccer talent development programme within upper secondary schools in Sweden. In-depth semi-structured interviews were carried out with a total of 13 pupils in their first or second year of NIUF. The data analysis benefited from iterative movement between the data and key learning dispositions: resilience, reciprocity, and playfulness. The findings show a variation in the strength of these dispositions between pupils, particularly with regard to the reciprocity and playfulness dispositions. We propose that individuals who display a comparably stronger manifestation of learning dispositions are better equipped to benefit from the learning opportunities of such programmes. This implies that there is a key role for coaches/educators to play in constructing an environment in which participants may 'learn to learn'.

Fra en casestudie (Becher & Håøy, 2022) henter vi data og utforsker jenter og gutters vennskap og sosiale inkludering ved skolestart. Det empiriske hovedgrunnlaget er fokusgruppe-intervjuer med elever, foreldre og lærere i tillegg til barnas egne bilder. Mulighetene for å finne venner og delta i aktiviteter ser ut til å være noe ulike for jenter og gutter. De fleste guttene er opptatt av fotball, mens jentene engasjerer seg i andre aktiviteter. Det er krevende å finne nye lekekamerater i en stor, ny og ukjent barnegruppe, og både jenter og gutter kan oppleve utenforskap. Studien bekrefter at det kan være lettere for barn å etablere gode sosiale relasjoner, oppleve tilhørighet til fellesskap og føle seg inkludert når de begynner på skolen sammen med kjente barn. Men, vi finner at barna trenger støtte fra lærere for å opprettholde disse relasjonene. Videre finner vi at prestasjoner og ferdigheter vektlegges fra skolestart, noe som kan svekke fokus på sosial inkludering, kontinuitet og trygghet. English abstract Girls’ and Boys’ Friendships and Social Inclusion at the Start of School From a case study (Becher & Håøy, 2022) we use data as we explore girls’ and boys’ friendships and social inclusion at the start of school. The main basis for data is focus group interviews with students, parents, and teachers as well as children’s photos. The possibilities for finding friends are somewhat different for girls and boys. Most of the boys are playing football, while the girls engage in other activities. It is challenging to find new playmates in a large, new, and unknown community of children, and both girls and boys can experience exclusion. The study confirms that it may be easier for children to establish positive social relationships, get a sense of belonging to community and feel included when they start school with children they already know. However, we find that children need support from teachers to maintain established relationships. Furthermore, we find that there is a strong focus on performance and skills from the beginning. This can weaken the emphasis on social inclusion, continuity and belonging at the start of school.
