Abstract:

Latar Belakang: Gangguan kualitas tidur seseorang sangat salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh posisi tidur. Posisi tidur yang baik menurut Rosulullah SAW adalah posisi tidur miring kanan. Secara kesehatan posisi tidur miring kanan akan mengurangi beban kerja jantung sehingga peredaran darah ke tubuh menjadi lebih baik. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk membandingkan kualitas tidur pada pasien gagal jantung kongestif dengan posisi tidur semi fowler, semi fowler miring kanan, dan semi fowler miring kiri.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kualitas tidur pada pasien gagal jantung kongestif dengan posisi tidur semi fowler, semi fowler miring kanan, dan semi fowler miring kiri.Metode Peneitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok terapan. Sebanyak 53 pasien dengan gagal jantung kongestif berpartisipasi sebagai sampel penelitian ini. Analisis data menggunakan Mann whitney.Hasil penelitan: Sebanyak 54,7% sampel mengalami kualitas tidur baik dan sebanyak 18,8% sampel mengalami kualitas tidur kurang baik. Hasil analisis menggunakan Maan Whitney pada kualitas tidur posisi semi fowler dan semi fower miring kanan didapatkan nilai -0,421 dengan taraf signifikansi ρ = 0,674 (>0,05) serta pada kualitas posisi semi fowler dan semi fowler miring kiri didapatkan nilai -0,55 dengan taraf signifikasi ρ = 0,956 (>0,05).Kesimpulan: Gambaran kualitas tidur pasien gagal jantung kogestif pada penelitian ini didapatkan kualitas baik (54,7%), cukup (26,4%), dan kurang baik (18,8%).Rekomendasi: Diharapkan dalam mengobservasi kualitas tidur pada pasien diharapkan untuk melengkapi observasi teresbut dengan alat video recorder dan hasil photo rontgen. Kata Kunci:Gagal jantung kongestif, posisi tidur, kualitas tidur.

“Dictionary of Modern English Usage, short forms Modern English Usage, MEU. The best-known usage manual of the 20C, compiled by H. W. Fowler and published by Oxford University Press in 1926 […]. This work in particular has made the name Fowler as well known among those interested in usage and the language as Johnson and Webster, a point of reference for both those who venerate and those who regret what he has had to say.” (Burchfield, 1992a: 311)If the quotation above is anything to go by, it tells us two things, namely that Fowler's Modern English Usage [MEU] is regarded as the best-known usage manual of the 20th century and that opinions about Fowler are highly controversial. Works like the Fowler Brothers' (1906) The King's English [KE] and Henry W. Fowler's Dictionary of Modern English Usage (1926) [MEU-1] can be regarded as role models for usage handbooks in Britain. The immense success and popularity, especially of the latter work, with new editions in 1965 (revised by Sir Ernest Gowers) [MEU-2] and in 1996 (further revised by Robert Burchfield) [MEU-3], calls for an explanation. In order to reveal the relationship between authority and success, the present article places MEU and its predecessor KE in their socio-historical contexts and then gives a detailed account of the success story of MEU. It analyses the book's reception in its three editions and its treatment in English-language histories and introductory textbooks to the English language.

Abstract:

Fowler's faith development theory is a relatively recent achievement in cognitive developmental psychology, based on the earlier work of Piaget and Kohlberg in cognitive and moral development, and is a significant contribution to the integration of theology and psychology. In this article, an attempt is made to acquaint the reader with (a) some major reasons for the scientific study of faith development, (b) a brief history of the contributions of theorists prior to Fowler, and (c) a basic understanding of faith development theory, in terms of the concepts and stages described by Fowler. In conclusion, several implications of Fowler's work for psychotherapists and religious educators are discussed.

Abstract:

ABSTRAK Penderita Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan meningkatnya kasus penyakit pada kardiovaskuler. Keluhan yang paling menonjol pada pasien dengan CHF adalah sesak nafas. Keluhan ini berhubungan dengan adanya edema paru akibat kegagalan jantung memompa darah keseluruh tubuh. Beberapa literatur dan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa potitioning dapat mempengaruhi status pernafasan pasien dengan CHF. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan respirasi rate (RR) dan saturasi oksigen (SaO2) pada posisi head up, semi fowler dan fowler. Desain penelitian pra eksperimen pre post test series desain. sampel penderita CHF yang dirawat inap di RSUD Prof. DR Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto hari ke-2. Teknik sampling menggunakan consecutive sampling, dengan besar sampel 38. Teknik analisis yang digunakan univariat dengan tendency central dan analisis multivariate repeated ANOVA .Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari posisi head up ke semi fowler dan fowler rerata nilai SaO2 cenderung meningkat. Analisis multivariate menunjukan ada perbedaan hasil SaO2 antara posisi tersebut (p value 0.002). Perbedaan nilai SaO2 terlihat antara posisi head up dengan posisi fowler (p value 0,033). Dari posisi head up ke semi fowler RR cederung menurun, namun dari posisi semi fowler ke fowler cenderung menetap. Analisis multivariate menunjukan tidak ada perbedaan nilai RR antara posisi head up, semi fowler dan fowler. Kesimpulan ada perbedaan nilai SaO2 pasien CHF pada posisi head up, semi fowler dan fowler bermkana secara statistik dan tidak ada perbedaan nilai RR pasien CHF pada posisi head up, semi fowler dan fowler Kata kunci : posisi, SaO2, RR

Abstract:

Mild persistent bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway that cause the low oxygen saturation value (91-95%). Administering oxygen therapy, setting the position of the semi fowler and fowler can reduce the risk of a decreased chest configuration. This research aims to assess the difference of effectiveness of administering oxygen at semi fowler with fowler position to the saturation changes in mild persistent bronchial asthma patients in Ratu Zalecha Martapura Hospital. This research method is quasy Experiment. The population research are all patients who experience mild persistent bronchial asthma attack, the sample of this research are 20 respondents with purposive sampling technique and analyzed with independent T test. The results is at semi fowler position the average of oxygen saturation before the treatment is 93.10%, after administering oxygen therapy with semi fowler position the average saturation is 98.00%. At the fowler position the average of oxygen saturation before the treatment is 92.60%, after administering oxygen therapy with fowler position the average saturation is 98.00%. The independent T-test result showed no difference of effectiveness of administering oxygen at semi fowler with fowler position to the saturation changes in mild persistent bronchial asthma patients,so teh patients can be given both positions.

Abstract:

Galeocharax Fowler é um gênero de peixes de água doce distribuído por todos os principais sistemas hídricos da América do Sul cisandina, com exceção da bacia do rio São Francisco, do rio Xingu e das drenagens litorâneas do leste. Conhecidos popularmente no território brasileiro como saicanga, peixe-cigarra, peixe-cadela, peixe-cachorro e dentudo e dentón e dientón alargado em países como Peru e Venezuela. Alcançam até 25 cm de comprimento, alimentam-se de peixes e invertebrados. Reproduzem-se durante todo o ano, não apresentam cuidado parental ou comportamento migratório. Quatro espécies têm sido consideradas válidas no gênero: Galeocharax humeralis (Valenciennes, 1834) das bacias do rio Paraguai e baixo rio Paraná; Galeocharax gulo (Cope, 1870), das bacias dos rios Amazonas e Tocantins; Galeocharax knerii (Steindachner, 1878), da bacia do alto rio Paraná e Galeocharax goeldii (Fowler, 1913), da bacia do rio Madeira. Um estudo prévio sugeriu a existência de uma possível espécie não descrita de Galeocharax da bacia do rio Orinoco. Além disso, o exame preliminar de exemplares recentemente depositados em coleções revelou que a distribuição geográfica do gênero é mais ampla que o registrado até agora e que há sobreposição de características consideradas diagnósticas para algumas espécies do gênero. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo realizar um estudo taxonômico de Galeocharax para determinar quantas e quais espécies podem ser reconhecidas e estimar a distribuição geográfica das mesmas. Foram examinados 1226 exemplares, dos quais 677 tiveram dados merísticos e morfométricos tomados. Detalhes osteológicos e morfológicos foram examinados por meio de radiografias, imagens de microscopia eletrônica de varredura e dissecções de exemplares diafanizados. São reconhecidas três espécies: Galeocharax humeralis, Galeocharax goeldii, com registros de distribuição geográfica ampliados para as bacias dos rios Madre de Dios, Beni, Mamoré e Guaporé, e Galeocharax gulo amplamente distribuída pelas bacias dos rios Amazonas, Orinoco, Tocantins e alto Paraná. O exame de material realizado no presente estudo, incluindo exemplares provenientes de localidades não amostradas em estudos prévios, mostrou que as duas características previamente propostas para diferenciar Galeocharax gulo de Galeocharax knerii: altura do corpo e número de dentes na fileira posterior do dentário apresentam sobreposição quase total de suas amplitudes de variação. Sendo assim Galeocharax knerii foi considerado sinônimo júnior de Galeocharax gulo. A morfologia dos ganchos ósseos presentes nas nadadeiras anal e pélvica de machos e na nadadeira anal de algumas fêmeas, assim como a morfologia das escamas espinoides foram ilustradas e detalhadas por meio de microscopia eletrônica de varredura. Uma chave de identificação para as espécies de Galeocharax é apresentada<br>Galeocharax Fowler is a genus of freshwater fishes distributed throughout most South American cis-Andean river systems, except the rio São Francisco and rio Xingu basins and the eastern drainages of Brazil. The species reach up to 25 cm in length, and feed on fishes and invertebrates. They reproduce throughout the year, and do not seem to show any parental care or migratory behaviour. Four species have been considered as valid in the genus: Galeocharax humeralis (Valenciennes, 1834), from rio Paraguay and lower rio Paraná basins; Galeocharax gulo (Cope, 1870), from rio Amazonas and rio Tocantins basins; Galeocharax knerii (Steindachner, 1878), from upper rio Paraná basin and Galeocharax goeldii from rio Madeira basin. A previous study suggested the existence of a possible non described species of Galeocharax from the rio Orinoco basin. In addition, a preliminary examination of recently collected specimens revealed that the genus is more widely distributed than previously registred. In addition the overlap of some diagnostic characteristic for some species was observed. The main objective of the current study was to undertake a taxonomic revision of Galeocharax in order to determine how many species can be considered as valid and to estimate their geographical distributions. A total of 1226 specimens were examined from which 677 had meristic ans morphometric data taken. Osteological and morfological features were examined by in radiographs, scanning eletron microscope images and in dissected cleared and stained specimens. Three species are recognized as valid: Galeocharax humeralis, Galeocharax goeldii, with records of geographical distibution expanded to the rio Madre de Dios, rio Beni, rio Mamoré and rio Guaporé basins and Galeocharax gulo, which is widespread throughout rio Amazonas, rio Orinoco, rio Tocantins and upper rio Paraná basins. The examination of specimens performed in the current study, including specimens from localities not sampled previously showed that both characteristics used to differentiate Galeocharax gulo form Galeocharax knerii, (i.e. body depth and number of teeth on the posterior row of the dentary) show almost total overlap of their range of variation. Therefore, Galeocharax knerii is herein considered as a junior synonym of Galeocharax gulo. The morphology of the bony hooks present in the anal and pelvic fins of mature males and in the anal fin of some females and the morphology of the spinoid scales were illustrated and characterized. An identification key to the species of Galeocharax is presented

Abstract:

Modeling of electron field emission has not advanced significantly since Fowler and Nordheim described the phenomenon eighty years ago. While their approach provides remarkable agreement with experiments for a large number of cases, the theory is strictly valid for planar geometries and low temperatures. Carbon nanotubes have been considered for field emission energy conversion devices. Under high-temperature conditions and significant field enhancement, the approximations used in the Fowler-Nordheim formalism become invalid. The present work predicts electron current densities emitted from carbon nanotubes using Airy functions to predict transmission and temperature dependent supply functions. Results indicate that Fowler-Nordheim compares favorably with the Airy function model for materials with large work function (φ ≈ 5eV, in the present study) at room temperatures. Abstract:

This paper describes the process of the designing of the Fowler flap with adaptive elements. Modern passenger and transport aircraft use high lift devices for take off and landing. Of great importance for the creation of high lift during take off and landing is the shape and size of the gap between wing and extended Fowler flap. To improve the deformation behaviour of the leading edge of this flap, and to improve the geometry of the gap, it was decided to use shape memory alloy (SMA) actuators in the flap structure. First, the complex finite element model of the passive flap was created and then this model was extended with active elements, which are modelling the SMA actuators. As a result, the complex finite element model of the active flap was obtained. This modelling was done using software MATLAB and a finite element model was created using software ANSYS. The main result of this work is that with help of SMA actuators integrated in the flap it was possible to influence and improve the geometry of the gap between the wing and the extended flap, resulting in the aerodynamic efficiency of this flap being increased.
