Abstract:
Latar Belakang: Gangguan kualitas tidur seseorang sangat salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh posisi tidur. Posisi tidur yang baik menurut Rosulullah SAW adalah posisi tidur miring kanan. Secara kesehatan posisi tidur miring kanan akan mengurangi beban kerja jantung sehingga peredaran darah ke tubuh menjadi lebih baik. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk membandingkan kualitas tidur pada pasien gagal jantung kongestif dengan posisi tidur semi fowler, semi fowler miring kanan, dan semi fowler miring kiri.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kualitas tidur pada pasien gagal jantung kongestif dengan posisi tidur semi fowler, semi fowler miring kanan, dan semi fowler miring kiri.Metode Peneitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok terapan. Sebanyak 53 pasien dengan gagal jantung kongestif berpartisipasi sebagai sampel penelitian ini. Analisis data menggunakan Mann whitney.Hasil penelitan: Sebanyak 54,7% sampel mengalami kualitas tidur baik dan sebanyak 18,8% sampel mengalami kualitas tidur kurang baik. Hasil analisis menggunakan Maan Whitney pada kualitas tidur posisi semi fowler dan semi fower miring kanan didapatkan nilai -0,421 dengan taraf signifikansi ρ = 0,674 (>0,05) serta pada kualitas posisi semi fowler dan semi fowler miring kiri didapatkan nilai -0,55 dengan taraf signifikasi ρ = 0,956 (>0,05).Kesimpulan: Gambaran kualitas tidur pasien gagal jantung kogestif pada penelitian ini didapatkan kualitas baik (54,7%), cukup (26,4%), dan kurang baik (18,8%).Rekomendasi: Diharapkan dalam mengobservasi kualitas tidur pada pasien diharapkan untuk melengkapi observasi teresbut dengan alat video recorder dan hasil photo rontgen. Kata Kunci:Gagal jantung kongestif, posisi tidur, kualitas tidur.

“Dictionary of Modern English Usage, short forms Modern English Usage, MEU. The best-known usage manual of the 20C, compiled by H. W. Fowler and published by Oxford University Press in 1926 […]. This work in particular has made the name Fowler as well known among those interested in usage and the language as Johnson and Webster, a point of reference for both those who venerate and those who regret what he has had to say.” (Burchfield, 1992a: 311)If the quotation above is anything to go by, it tells us two things, namely that Fowler's Modern English Usage [MEU] is regarded as the best-known usage manual of the 20th century and that opinions about Fowler are highly controversial. Works like the Fowler Brothers' (1906) The King's English [KE] and Henry W. Fowler's Dictionary of Modern English Usage (1926) [MEU-1] can be regarded as role models for usage handbooks in Britain. The immense success and popularity, especially of the latter work, with new editions in 1965 (revised by Sir Ernest Gowers) [MEU-2] and in 1996 (further revised by Robert Burchfield) [MEU-3], calls for an explanation. In order to reveal the relationship between authority and success, the present article places MEU and its predecessor KE in their socio-historical contexts and then gives a detailed account of the success story of MEU. It analyses the book's reception in its three editions and its treatment in English-language histories and introductory textbooks to the English language.

Abstract:
Fowler's faith development theory is a relatively recent achievement in cognitive developmental psychology, based on the earlier work of Piaget and Kohlberg in cognitive and moral development, and is a significant contribution to the integration of theology and psychology. In this article, an attempt is made to acquaint the reader with (a) some major reasons for the scientific study of faith development, (b) a brief history of the contributions of theorists prior to Fowler, and (c) a basic understanding of faith development theory, in terms of the concepts and stages described by Fowler. In conclusion, several implications of Fowler's work for psychotherapists and religious educators are discussed.

ABSTRAK Penderita Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan meningkatnya kasus penyakit pada kardiovaskuler. Keluhan yang paling menonjol pada pasien dengan CHF adalah sesak nafas. Keluhan ini berhubungan dengan adanya edema paru akibat kegagalan jantung memompa darah keseluruh tubuh. Beberapa literatur dan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa potitioning dapat mempengaruhi status pernafasan pasien dengan CHF. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan respirasi rate (RR) dan saturasi oksigen (SaO2) pada posisi head up, semi fowler dan fowler. Desain penelitian pra eksperimen pre post test series desain. sampel penderita CHF yang dirawat inap di RSUD Prof. DR Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto hari ke-2. Teknik sampling menggunakan consecutive sampling, dengan besar sampel 38. Teknik analisis yang digunakan univariat dengan tendency central dan analisis multivariate repeated ANOVA .Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari posisi head up ke semi fowler dan fowler rerata nilai SaO2 cenderung meningkat. Analisis multivariate menunjukan ada perbedaan hasil SaO2 antara posisi tersebut (p value 0.002). Perbedaan nilai SaO2 terlihat antara posisi head up dengan posisi fowler (p value 0,033). Dari posisi head up ke semi fowler RR cederung menurun, namun dari posisi semi fowler ke fowler cenderung menetap. Analisis multivariate menunjukan tidak ada perbedaan nilai RR antara posisi head up, semi fowler dan fowler. Kesimpulan ada perbedaan nilai SaO2 pasien CHF pada posisi head up, semi fowler dan fowler bermkana secara statistik dan tidak ada perbedaan nilai RR pasien CHF pada posisi head up, semi fowler dan fowler Kata kunci : posisi, SaO2, RR

Abstract:
Mild persistent bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway that cause the low oxygen saturation value (91-95%). Administering oxygen therapy, setting the position of the semi fowler and fowler can reduce the risk of a decreased chest configuration. This research aims to assess the difference of effectiveness of administering oxygen at semi fowler with fowler position to the saturation changes in mild persistent bronchial asthma patients in Ratu Zalecha Martapura Hospital. This research method is quasy Experiment. The population research are all patients who experience mild persistent bronchial asthma attack, the sample of this research are 20 respondents with purposive sampling technique and analyzed with independent T test. The results is at semi fowler position the average of oxygen saturation before the treatment is 93.10%, after administering oxygen therapy with semi fowler position the average saturation is 98.00%. At the fowler position the average of oxygen saturation before the treatment is 92.60%, after administering oxygen therapy with fowler position the average saturation is 98.00%. The independent T-test result showed no difference of effectiveness of administering oxygen at semi fowler with fowler position to the saturation changes in mild persistent bronchial asthma patients,so teh patients can be given both positions.

Abstract:
Penelitian ini bertujuan adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan pemberian posisi Semi Fowler terhadap saturasi oksigen pada pasien PPOK. Desain penelitian menggunakan rancangan One Group Pre-Post Test Design. Hasil penelitian pada 30 responden PPOK menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai saturasi oksigen sebelum diberikan posisi Semi Fowler yaitu 89,47. Setelah diberikan posisi Semi Fowler selama 30 menit, rata-rata nilai saturasi oksigen pasien PPOK mengalami peningkatan yaitu 95,83. Berdasarkan hasil dari uji paired t-test menunjukkan bahwa hasil sig (2-tailed) atau nilai r = 0,0001. Simpulan, terdapat peningkatan antara nilai saturasi oksigen setelah diberikan posisi Semi Fowler.

Contrary to Jackson's 1974 theoretical conceptualization of the factors underlying the Personality Research Form-E, later in 1985 Fowler found a nurturance factor but not an achievement factor. A major problem may be the predominantly female sample in Fowler's study. This study replicated Fowler's using a sample with equal proportions of men and women. Among other things, analyses yielded an achievement factor and not a nurturance factor. Implications of the results were discussed.

Judging by the decreasing time between editions of ‘Fowlers’ it would seem so: thirty-nine years between Fowler's Dictionary of Modern English Usage (1926, from here on MEU1) and Gower's second edition (1965, from here on MEU2), and thirty-one years between the latter and Burchfield's The New Fowler's Modern English Usage (1996, from here on NFMEU). This led Manfred Görlach to write in his review of NFMEU that ‘[t]imes change, and we (and usage) change with them. A new edition of Fowler's classic book is thus in order every thirty to forty years’ (Görlach, 1997).

Abstract:
Chronic obstruction pulmonary disease (COPD) is a lung disease that is caused due to an obstruction in a channel the airflow that much happening in Indonesia due to the high-risk factor exposure causes the onset of COPD as the habit of smoking and an unhealthy environment. Blockage in the airway that occurs in patients of COPD is usually characterized by shortness of breath. The various ways that can be done to overcome the shortness of breath are with nebulizer therapy. Nebulizer therapy action is undertaken in accordance with standard operating procedures (SPO) already determined, in the SPO mention the position at the time of the nebulizer therapy position fowler or semi fowler. This study aims to know the effectiveness of the grant the position of Fowler and semi fowler against the scale of the COPD patient shortness of breath while undergoing therapy nebulizer. Methode of this study is a quasy experiment in two groups using pre-test and post-test design. The study was conducted in General Hospital K.R.M. T Wongsonegoro Semarang with the total sample as many as 32 patients. The analysis using Mann Whitney with p-value 0.000 (p < 0.05) so that it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average scale of shortness of breath between fowler and semi fowler while undergoing group therapy nebulizer. The analysis showed that the position of semi fowler is more effective in lowering shortness of breath when compared to the position of fowler while undergoing therapy nebulizer. This study recommended giving the semi-fowler position to reduce dyspnea in COPD patients while undergoing Nebulizervtherapy.

The main advantage of Fowler’s dip‐moveout (DMO) method is the ability to perform velocity analysis along with the DMO removal. This feature of Fowler DMO becomes even more attractive in anisotropic media, where imaging methods are hampered by the difficulty in reconstructing the velocity field from surface data. We have devised a Fowler‐type DMO algorithm for transversely isotropic media using the analytic expression for normal‐moveout velocity. The parameter‐estimation procedure is based on the results of Alkhalifah and Tsvankin showing that in transversely isotropic media with a vertical axis of symmetry (VTI) the P‐wave normal‐moveout (NMO) velocity as a function of ray parameter can be described fully by just two coefficients: the zero‐dip NMO velocity [Formula: see text] and the anisotropic parameter η (η reduces to the difference between Thomsen parameters ε and δ in the limit of weak anisotropy). In this extension of Fowler DMO, resampling in the frequency‐wavenumber domain makes it possible to obtain the values of [Formula: see text] and η by inspecting zero‐offset (stacked) panels for different pairs of the two parameters. Since most of the computing time is spent on generating constant‐velocity stacks, the added computational effort caused by the presence of anisotropy is relatively minor. Synthetic and field‐data examples demonstrate that the isotropic Fowler DMO technique fails to generate an accurate zero‐offset section and to obtain the zero‐dip NMO velocity for nonelliptical VTI models. In contrast, this anisotropic algorithm allows one to find the values of the parameters [Formula: see text] and η (sufficient to perform time migration as well) and to correct for the influence of transverse isotropy in the DMO processing. When combined with poststack F-K Stolt migration, this method represents a complete inversion‐processing sequence capable of recovering the effective parameters of transversely isotropic media and producing migrated images for the best‐fit homogeneous anisotropic model.

Background: The Fowler-Philip, calcaneal pitch, and total calcaneal angles define the radiologic morphology of the rearfoot. We studied these angles in healthy adolescents. Methods: We studied 141 feet. Patients with inflammatory or traumatic injuries were excluded. The mean participant age was 11.5 years. The Fowler-Philip, calcaneal pitch, and total calcaneal angles were measured on lateral weightbearing radiographs. The statistics included descriptive, sample size (α=0.05 and β=0.20), the Student t test, and analysis of variance; P < .05 was considered significant. Results: The samples were 141 and 35 radiographs for the Fowler-Philip and calcaneal pitch angles, respectively. Ninety percent, 25.1%, and 97.4% of the adolescents had normal Fowler-Philip, calcaneal pitch, and total calcaneal angles, respectively. In addition, 9.9%, 74.9%, and 2.6% of the values were outside the reference ranges, respectively. The Fowler-Philip angle decreased and the calcaneal pitch angle increased significantly with age (P = .0005). The total calcaneal angle did not change with age (P = .65). Conclusions: The mean angle values in a pediatric population did not differ from those in adults. We found a high percentage of calcaneal pitch angles outside the reference range. TB paru merupakan penyakit paru yang disebabkan bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis yang mengakibatkan gangguan sistem pernafasan. Salah satu gejalanya adalah sesak nafas, nyeri dada, dan peningkatan respiration rate, sehingga muncul gangguan ketidakefektifan pola nafas. Tindakan sederhana untuk mengatasi masalah ini dengan memberikan posisi semi fowler, tujuannya untuk membantu memaksimalkan ekspansi paru sehingga terjadi perubahan respiration rate dan pola nafas menjadi efektif. Metode penulisan ini dengan mencari beberapa jurnal di Google Scholar, didapatkan hasil penelusuran dari 3 jurnal menurut Suhadridjat dan Isnayati (2020), dan Aneci Boki Majampoh dkk (2013) bahwa pemberian posisi semi fowler kemiringan 30-45° membantu pengembangan paru dan mengurangi tekanan dari abdomen pada diafragma. Sedangkan menurut Roihatul Zahroh dan Rivai Sigit Susanto (2017), posisi orthopnea lebih efektif daripada semi fowler karena posisi duduk dengan badan dicondongkan ke depan dianjurkan sebagai terapi intervensi untuk meringankan sesak nafas dan meningkatkan fungsi paru, dengan hasil rata-rata penurunan sesak nafas 5 dibandingkan posisi semi fowler dengan rata-rata penurunan sesak nafas 4. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian posisi semi fowler dan posisi orthopnea dapat membantu menurunkan sesak nafas pada pasien TB paru namun posisi orthopnea lebih dianjurkan untuk penurunan sesak nafas pada pasien TB paru.

Background: The goal of this study is to biomechanically compare Fowler central slip tenotomy with spiral oblique retinacular ligament (SORL) reconstruction in correcting a chronic mallet deformity as part of a swan-neck deformity. Methods: We used 24 human cadaver fingers from 6 hands. Mallet finger and swan-neck deformities were created; then, Fowler tenotomy was done on one group including 3 hands with 12 fingers, and SORL reconstruction was done on the others. Results: During simulated finger extension, there was no significant difference between the 2 techniques in correcting the distal interphalangeal joint droop; however, Fowler tenotomy resulted in hyperflexion of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint, whereas it remained straight after SORL reconstruction. Conclusions: This study supports the SORL reconstruction in correcting a chronic mallet deformity, especially when there is a concomitant PIP hyperextension deformity, which lowers the risk of reversing the deformity after a Fowler procedure.
