Introduction: Fractures of anterior tooth can sufficiently compromise the esthetics and functionality of the tooth and hinders future treatment plans. As such, treatment without delay is always desired by the patients. The prognosis of the tooth is crucial for the success of the treatment. A conservative and an optimal treatment modality which is preferred by clinicians is reattachment of the fractured segment to its primary site. Abstract The trauma of anterior teeth is a frequent occurrence in young patients. Reattachment of fractured fragments is one of the various treatment modalities proposed in anterior tooth coronal fractures. The reattachment of fractured fragments grants the advantage of immediate aesthetic rehabilitation and restoration of function, which is a relatively rapid and less arduous procedure. The manuscript presents a case report depicting the management of a complicated crown root fracture of anterior maxillary teeth first treated endodontically, followed by reattachment of the same fragment with

Dental trauma often results in fracture of the tooth. Reattaching the fractured fragment is one among the treatment modalities in the management of fractured tooth. The procedure is simple and relatively inexpensive. However, understanding the limitations of the procedure is essential. Also, patient cooperation is essential for long term success of the treatment. The case report highlights the management of fractured maxillary anterior tooth in a elderly patient.

Anterior teeth fractures occur daily, with the main patient demand to restore esthetically the resultant defect. There is nothing more esthetic than the tooth itself. Many techniques were described to use the fractured piece to restore this defect in case of accurate fit. The objective of this article is to summarize these techniques to give the dental practitioners the opportunity to restore the fractured tooth more conservatively and in the same time more esthetically. Also it throws light on the prevalence and etiology of tooth fracture. Frontal teeth are subjected to traumas more than othe

Coronal fractures of the anterior teeth are common sequelae of dental trauma. In case of complex fractures, where the fractured segment is available and there is close approximation of the segment to the remaining tooth, root canal treatment followed by reattachment of the fractured segment with fiber post reinforcement is a feasible option. The procedure is simple and economic and needs less chair-side time as compared to many conventional methods. In addition, the procedure provides good and long-lasting esthetics, because the original morphology, color, and surface texture are maintained. T

ABSTRACT Coronal fractures of the anterior teeth are a common form of dental trauma. If the original tooth fragment is retained following fracture, reattachment of the fractured fragment to the remaining tooth can provide better and long-lasting esthetics, improved function, a positive psychological response and is a faster and less complicated procedure. This paper reports on two coronal tooth fracture cases that were successfully treated using adhesive reattachment technique. How to cite this article Kararia N, Chaudhary A, Kararia V. Coronal fractures of permanent dentition are the most frequent type of dental injury. Fractured anterior teeth are usually treated with conventional post and core and crown techniques, after being treated endodontically. If the original tooth fragment is retained following fracture, the natural tooth structures can be reattached using adhesive protocols. Fiber-reinforced post makes the reattachment of the crown esthetically possible with minimal preparation and reduces the possibility of tooth fracture during function. Fracture of tooth after trauma is distressing to a person because of the discomfort and pain due to pulpal injury. Crown root fractures of anterior teeth cause concomitant periodontal injury and there will be concern about appearance, and aesthetics. Management of pulpal and periodontal tissue relieves pain and restoration of tooth form regains patients confidence. Restoration of fractured tooth will be accepted readily if it is minimally invasive, less expensive, and aesthetically acceptable. Reattachment is an option for restoration of anterior teeth compared to other artificial replacements

A total of 44 extracted maxillary central incisors were tested. Statistical analysis revealed that no-handpiece preparation was as retentive as a 45° circumferential bevel (p <.01). In addition, the light-cured resin proved as retentive as did the chemically-cured resin (p<.01). Also examined was the effect of the initial fracture angle on retention of the fragment after reluting. Teeth

Historically, orthodontic anchorage has been a challenge, and TADs have emerged as a practical solution. In the late 20th century, various skeletal anchorage devices, such as prosthetic implants, palatal implants, micro-implants, mini-plate screws, and onplants, were introduced. Dental trauma in childhood and adolescence is common. At 5 years of age 31–40% of boys and 16–30% of girls, and at 12 years of age 12–33% of boys and 4–19% of girls, will have suffered some dental trauma. Boys are affected almost twice as often as girls in both the primary and the permanent dentitions. The majority of dental injuries in the primary and permanent dentitions involve the anterior teeth, especially the maxillary central incisors.
