Wenn die Rede auf den kanadischen Regisseur David Cronenberg kommt, fällt oft auch der Name Franz Kafka, was kein Wunder ist, so weist Cronenbergs bekannter Film Die Fliege (1986) doch offensichtliche Parallelen zu Kafkas berühmter Erzählung Die Verwandlung auf. Doch der Text Die Fliege basiert auf der gleichnamigen, 1957 erschienen Kurzgeschichte des britischen Schriftstellers und Journalisten George Langelaan. In dieser Analyse wird die Verbindung zwischen den Arbeiten von Kafka, Langelaan und Cronenberg aufgezeigt.

The castle is a famous novel by Kafka. The work with the "castle" symbol that conveys many profound meanings about life. In which, the loss of identity and loneliness are two outstanding problems. In this work, Kafka differentiated K. became a figure representing him and of time. A man with a good desire to serve the community faces the rejection of his fellow man and is thrown to the side of the road like a futile.
