Crude palm oil (CPO) is one of the potential feedstocks for biodiesel production. While CPO has potential as a sustainable biodiesel feedstock, there are still a number of challenges that need to be overcome. One of them is the presence of interfering compounds in CPO, such as free fatty acids and non-triglyceride compounds. This research aims to analyse the density, viscosity, calorific value and identify the types of chemical compounds in CPO for biodiesel production consisting of 100% biodiesel (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester or FAME) without mixture with conventional diesel fuel (fossil diesel).

We isolated microorganisms that grow in a medium containing crude glycerol as a major carbon source and analyzed their fatty acid composition. Fusarium sp. D2 was found to accumulate fatty acid secondary metabolites such as 10-hydroxystaric acid (HYB) and 10-oxostearic acid (KetoB). These fatty acids were converted form oleic acid containing crude glycerol as a component. We isolated a hydratase gene

Abstract:
Twelve carcasses were randomly selected from New Zealand White (NZW), Thai Native (N) and two reciprocal crosses between NZW and N rabbits, three from each breed group. Proximate analysis was made along with fatty acid and amino acid analysis. Percent fat and ash on dry matter basis were the only two proximate analysis found to be different among 4 breed groups (P<0.05) and N meat had more fat than N x NZW group (P<0.05). Among the 18 amino acids analysed, NZW and NZW x N meat had more proline than N x NZW group (P<0.05) and N x NZW meat contained more tryptophan than N and NZW (P<

Abstract:
Review question / Objective: (1)Can heart type fatty acid binding protein effectively predict the prognosis of patients with heart failure? (2)Is high expression of ear type fat acid binding protein associated with poor clinical outcomes in patients with heart failure? Condition being studied: Heart-type fatty acid binding protein (H-FABP) mainly exists in cardiomyocytes and is a potential biomarker of myocardial injury. However, the adverse consequences of heart failure have not been fully analyzed. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to comprehensively evaluate the correlation between H-F

Abstract:
The fruit of pepper (Capsicum annuum) commonly wilts (or shrivels) during postharvest storage due to rapid water loss, a condition that greatly reduces its shelf life and market value. The fact that pepper fruit are hollow, and thus have limited water content, only exacerbates this problem in pepper. The collaborators on this project completed research whose findings provided new insight into the genetic, physiological, and biochemical basis for water loss from the fruits of pepper (Capsicum annuum and related Capsicum species). Well-defined genetic populations of pepper were used in this stud
