The September 1965 meeting of Team 10 in Berlin was another occasion on which the ‘family’ gathered to present and discuss projects and ideas. Like other Team 10 meetings, issues of modernisation, inhabitation, post-war reconstruction, the welfare state, consumer society and the role of the architect were subjects of heated debate. After the famous 1959 meeting in Otterlo at which Team 10 emerged out of CIAM, the core group members were still trying to determine the character and size of their group, which would enable them to reach some kind of unity while maintaining a diversified outlook. Although written two centuries apart and in divergent cultures, the kabuki play Tōkaidō Yotsuya Kaidan and Shakespeare's Macbeth exhibit marked similarities (as well as differences) in plot. Here, Carol Fisher Sorgenfrei analyzes some of the ways that these plays reflect (mostly male) anxieties regarding shifting patterns of gender and political power in Jacobean England and Tokugawa Japan. Professor Emerita of Theatre at UCLA, Carol Fisher Sorgenfrei is a specialist in Japanese theatre and intercultural performance, and was recently a Research Fellow at the International Research Institute in

Abstract In this paper, I will present the experience gained in the two workshops—“Teaching Chinese Philosophy in Europe” (October 13–15, 2023) and “Global Chinese Philosophy: European Perspectives” (February 16–18, 2024)—held at Free Berlin University and organized by Prof. Fabian Heubel and Prof. Hans Feger. The argument will be divided, like the workshops themselves, into two directions. In the first part, I will present the activity of the Education Network of the European Association for Chinese Philosophy, my teaching activity with the specific perspectives, strategies, and peculiarities

Abstract. An improved independent precipitation data set with the horizontal resolution of 7×7 km grid over central Europe was generated (Free University of Berlin (FUB)-precipitation analysis). For scale dependent evaluation of the Local model (LM) of the German Weather service, the precipitation data were separated into convective and stratiform fractions. To analyse precipitation amounts an interpolation scheme is used which contains the data set of "present weather" (ww), rain gauges and cloud types from the WMO-network in hourly resolution from the year 1992 until 2004 together with satel
