Both of these responses are mediated by sympathetic nerves whose premotor neurons are located in the medullary raphé. EP3 receptors, key prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) receptors responsible for fever induction, are expressed in this same medullary raphé region. Urgent Care Centers (UCCs) are a recent innovation in the American system of health care delivery. The number of UCCs has increased significantly in recent years. Many researchers point out that the rapid growth of UCCs is expected to escalate during the next few decades. This growth will create more competition among providers of these facilities in the health care market, and the competition could lead to an uneven distribution of UCCs within cities. While health officials and planners are interested in attracting more patients by expanding UCC services, they are often unfamiliar with the fa

Data issued by Directorate of Maternal Health in 2012 showed that maternal death in Indonesia was caused by several collapses. These factors, among others, bleeding (30.1%), hypertension (26.9%), infection (5.6%), old particular (1.8%), abortion (1.6%) and other causes (34.5%). Based on these data, the old partus is one of the factors that contributes to maternal mortality in Indonesia even though with a fairly small percentage. The purpose of this study is the effectiveness of Birthing Ball administration of labor pain in 1 phase maternity of active phase in the working area of the Talang Jaw

Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators will form the first line of defense in the event of a public health emergency including an airborne pandemic or a bio-terror attack. The two major pathways by which virus-carrying aerosols can reach the human lungs through these PPEs are: a) the intrinsic penetration through porous layers of the PPE and b) the leakage through gaps between the PPE and a person’s face [1, 2]. The contribution from the second pathway can be significantly reduced using fit-testing i.e. by choosing the appropriately sized respirator for a specific face. Unfort

Flexible endoscopy, a procedure during which an operator pushes a semi-rigid endoscope through a patient’s gastrointestinal tract, has been the gold-standard screening method for colon cancer screening (colonoscopy) for over 50 years. Owing to the large amounts of tissue stress that result from the need for transmitting a force to the tip of the endoscope while the device wraps through the bowel, implementing a front-actuated endoscopy system has been a popular area of research [1]. The pursuit of such a concept was accelerated by the advent of ingestible capsule endoscopes, which, since then,

The work is devoted to solving the actual scientific and technical problem of building a decision support system based on the implementation of the developed model of the diagnostic decision rule by means of modern information technologies. Based on the analysis of the methods used to build a diagnostic decision rule (DRU) in diagnostic decision support systems in medicine, the components of a combined DRU are proposed, which express two approaches to the formulation of a diagnostic conclusion: an objective component, which is based on the analysis of educational samples, and the subjective co

Abstract:
Introduction: Patient-accessible electronic health records are records of all patient health data stored in a digital format that can be freely accessed by the patient. The purpose of this paper is to examine patient attitudes toward electronic health records and to identify the most common reasons for and against the use of electronic health records. Methods: We used a descriptive method with a review of the literature. We limited our search to articles published in the last decade (from 2012 to 2022), articles in English, content relevance, and strength of evidence. We used the CINAHL and Me
