Das Geschlecht derer von Friesen wurde 1653 vom Kaiser in den erblichen Reichsfreiherrenstand erhoben. In der Folge wurden zwei Gruppenbildnisse bei Samuel Bottschild bestellt und im Schloss Rötha präsentiert. Sie zeigen einmal die Herren von Friesen in die römische Äneasgeschichte versetzt und Wehrhaftigkeit und Führungskraft an der Seite ihres sächsischen Landesherrn demonstrierend. Das Damenbildnis porträtiert mehrere Frauen von Friesen mit Attributen des Glücks, der Gerechtigkeit, der Fruchtbarkeit und des Friedens.

Abstract:
Die vorliegende Studie konzentriert sich auf die deutsch-israelischen Beziehungen im Feld des humanitären und friedensstiftenden Vor-Ort-Einsatzes. Dabei nimmt die Arbeit die verwickelten und konflikthaften Beziehungen im Bemühen der Politik um Normalität des deutsch-israelischen Verhältnisses in den Blick, ein Bemühen, das durch die historische Einzigartigkeit der Shoa immer schon unmöglich ist. Bestimmt wird die Perspektive der Untersuchung nicht von den vorherrschenden Paradigmen des Forschungsfeldes Internationale Beziehungen, sondern anhand zivilgesellschaftlichen Engagements, das sich u.a. in der Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste ausdrückt. Dabei wird eine dezidiert akteurzentrierte Position eingenommen und mit Hilfe der Analysen von Makro-, Meso- und Mikroebenen, welche aufeinander bezogen werden, historische Darstellung, politiktheoretische Perspektiven mit kulturwissenschaftlichen Dimensionen verknüpft und für die transdisziplinäre Darstellung fruchtbar gemacht. Dargelegt wird, in welchem Spannungsfeld von unterschiedlichen politischen Interessen, sozialen Prozessen und historischen Diskursen sich die Aktivitäten deutscher NGOs in Israel bewegen und wie diese Spannungen auch das Selbstverständnis und die angestrebten Ziele einzelner Akteure maßgeblich beeinflussen. Dabei wird deutlich, dass die vielseitigen Interessenkonflikte zwischen der NGO Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste und ihren israelischen Partnern in teilweise dominierenden bipolar ausgerichteten Diskursen gründen, welche neben den ethnischen, religiösen, sozialen und politischen Dimensionen auch immer eine übergreifende moralische Dimension inkludieren. Diese Aushandlungsprozesse im lokalen Einsatz der hier thematisierten NGO sind daher unweigerlich von der kollektiven historischen Erinnerung an die Shoah geprägt, die sich sowohl auf die Handlungsspielräume der deutschen NGO als auch auf die gesamten zwischenstaatlichen deutsch-israelischen Beziehungen auswirkt und daher die erhoffte Normalisierung im Sinne rein politischer Raison nicht realisierbar erscheinen lässt. Die Problematik der Auseinandersetzungen um Universalismus und Partikularismus der Shoah-Rezeption lassen sich somit auf staatlicher sowie zivilgesellschaftlicher Ebene nicht gänzlich auflösen. Die aus diesen unterschiedlichen Rezeptionen zu ziehenden Rückschlüsse ermöglichen es den Akteuren gänzlich unterschiedliche Perspektiven in der Arbeit vor Ort einzunehmen. Die Streitigkeiten zwischen „Sühne“ und „Frieden“ dominieren daher immer noch die Diskurse in- und außerhalb der Organisation.

Dissertação de Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Veterinária<br>Numa exploração de bovinos de aptidão leiteira, a maioria da receita gerada deverá ser proveniente do comércio da matéria prima produzida: o leite. Interessa, portanto, possuir uma exploração/empresa sustentável, de forma a maximizar o lucro, (entre outros factores, tal como por exemplo, o bem-estar animal); especialmente devido ao facto de, no caso da indústria leiteira, o preço do leite ser flutuante e definido pelas unidades de recolha. O objectivo do presente trabalho experimental foi o de averiguar a influência do sexo da cria bovina na performance leiteira da vaca Holstein Frísia, considerando a lactação subsequente ao parto; bem como a influência do sexo da cria nos teores butiroso e proteico do leite, para essa mesma lactação. Esta análise retrospectiva visou, ainda, apurar se existiria alguma relação entre o sexo da cria e a ocorrência de patologia na fêmea, na lactação supracitada. As lactações analisadas foram provenientes de fêmeas primíparas e multíparas, ou seja, fêmeas que se encontravam entre a primeira e a sexta lactação, inclusive. No total, foram analisadas 1.416 lactações, provenientes de 596 vacas. Foi verificado que existe uma influência do sexo da cria na produção leiteira aos 305 dias de lactação. Quando ocorre o nascimento de uma única fêmea, a produção leiteira é de 12.098,69 kg, sendo que quando ocorre o nascimento de um macho é de 11.979,42 kg. Foi confirmado que não existe influência do sexo da cria no teor butiroso do leite, tal como não existe influência do sexo da cria no teor proteico do leite. Por fim, foi verificado que não existe influência do sexo da cria na ocorrência de patologia. No caso de a cria ser um macho, a proporção de ocorrência de patologia é de 0,43. Quando a cria é fêmea, a proporção de ocorrência de patologia é de 0,39. As conclusões mais importantes deste trabalho experimental são o facto de existir influência do sexo da cria na produção leiteira aos 305 dias de lactação e, não existir influência do sexo da cria na ocorrência de patologia.<br>ABSTRACT - Calf Sex: does it have any influence on the productive parameters and on the lactation’s pathology of the Holstein Friesian cow? - In a dairy farm, the majority of the revenue generated must come from the trade of the raw material produced: milk. It is therefore appropriate to have a sustainable holding in order to maximize profit, (among other factors, such as animal welfare); especially because that in the dairy industry, milk prices fluctuate and are defined by milk collection units. The main goal of the present experimental study was to verify the calf sex’s influence in the milk yield of the Holstein Friesian cow, considering lactation subsequent to calving; as well as the influence of the sex of the offspring on the fat and protein content of the milk, for the same lactation. This retrospective analysis was also aimed to determine if there was any relationship between the sex of the offspring and the occurrence of pathology in the female, in the abovementioned lactation. The lactations analyzed came from primiparous and multiparous females, that is, females that were between the first and sixth lactation, inclusive. In total, 1,416 lactations from 596 cows were analyzed. It was verified that the sex of the calf has a positive influence on the 305 days milk yield. When the birth of a single female occurs, the milk yield is 12.098,69 kg, and when a male calf is born, the milk yield is 11.979,42 kg. It has also been confirmed that there is no influence of the sex of the offspring on the fat content of milk, and there is also no influence of calf’s sex on the milk protein content. Finally, it was verified that there is no influence of the sex of the offspring on the occurrence of pathology. In the case of a male calf, the proportion of occurrence of pathology is 0.43. When the calf is female, the proportion of occurrence of pathology is 0.39. The most important conclusions of this experimental study are the fact that the sex of the calf has a positive influence on the 305 days milk yield, and that there is no influence of the calf sex on the occurrence of pathology.<br>N/A

Currently, 29 genus and 244 species are present in Brazil. Only a few phylogeographic studies were realized with species of this tribe. The genus Partamona Schwarz, 1939 clusters 33 species with exclusive occurrence in the Neotropical region. The species Partamona helleri presents wide distribution throughout Atlantic forest and part of the Cerrado from the State of Minas Gerais, reason of the choice of this species as our model organism. This study aimed to elucidate the phylogeographic pattern of P. helleri populations throughout its distribution area. For this purpose, samples of 347 nests from 67 localities situated from Northern Bahia to Santa Catarina were collected. Three mitochondrial genes fragments (COI, CytB and 12S) were analysed, which resulted in 339 concatenated sequences. The phylogenetic reconstruction by Bayesian Inference (IB) showed several lineages in a little resolved polytomy, what hampered the definition of the phylogenetic relationships among haplotypes. The haplotype network illustrated the relationship between 73 haplotypes identified, being 64 of them exclusive of localities. The AMOVA showed that 91.7% of the genetic variation is due to interpopulacional differences, indicating high structuring among populations. A low significant correlation between genetic and geographic distances was observed (r = 0,2487; P < 0,0010). The Bayesian population analysis implemented by BAPS showed that five groups were more suited to explain that genetic structuring. Such result was partly compliant with established lineages in the topology obtained by IB and with the results observed in the haplotype network. The results showed that the northern populations of P. helleri distribution are quite differentiated among themselves and also from the others populations observed along the central and southern regions. However, it was not possible to access how the genetic variation of the northern populations is organized, and there may be a division in two or more phylogroups. For other populations, the existence of three possible phylogroups was verified, two in the central region and a third occupying the central and southern regions. The results obtained for the demographic history of these phylogroups were not conclusive, however, it is likely that the phylogroup occupying the central and southern regions is in an expansion process. It was also verified that the level of variation observed by phylogroup decreases towards north/south, which allowed to raise a hypothesis about the origin and dispersion of this species.<br>Meliponini é uma tribo de abelhas conhecidas popularmente como abelhas sem ferrão que possuem distribuição em áreas tropicais e subtropicais do globo, sendo mais diversificada nas regiões neotropicais e Indo-Malaia. No Brasil, estão descritos atualmente 29 gêneros e 244 espécies. Até o presente momento, poucos foram os estudos filogeográficos realizados com espécies da tribo. O gênero Partamona Schwarz, 1939 agrupa 33 espécies com ocorrência exclusiva na região Neotropical. A espécie Partamona helleri apresenta ampla distribuição ao longo de toda a Mata Atlântica e ainda em parte do Cerrado no estado de Minas Gerais, razão de sua escolha como organismo modelo. Este estudo teve por objetivo elucidar o padrão filogeográfico das populações da espécie ao longo de sua área de distribuição. Para tal, foram coletadas amostras de 347 ninhos em 67 localidades situadas desde o norte da Bahia até Santa Catarina. Foram analisados três fragmentos gênicos mitocondriais - COI, CytB e 12S - e as análises foram realizadas utilizando 339 sequências dos três genes concatenados. A reconstrução filogenética por Inferência Bayesiana (IB) apresentou várias linhagens em uma politomia pouco resolvida, o que comprometeu a verificação das relações filogenéticas entre os haplótipos. A rede haplotípica ilustrou as relações entre os 73 haplótipos identificados, sendo 64 deles exclusivos de localidade. A AMOVA mostrou que 91,7% da variação genética é resultado de diferenças interpopulacionais, indicando alta estruturação entre as populações. Foi verificada uma correlação baixa, porém significativa, entre distâncias genéticas e geográficas (r = 0,2487; P < 0,0010). A análise de estrutura populacional pelo método bayesiano implementada no software BAPS mostrou que a probabilidade posterior mais adequada para explicar a estruturação genética foi de cinco agrupamentos. Tal resultado foi, em parte, concordante com as linhagens estabelecidas na topologia obtida por IB e com os resultados observados na rede haplotípica. Os resultados mostraram que as populações ao norte da distribuição são bastante diferenciadas entre si e também das demais populações observadas ao longo da parte central e sul. No entanto, não foi possível acessar como a variação genética dessas populações está organizada, podendo haver a divisão das mesmas em dois ou mais filogrupos. Quanto às demais populações, a existência de três possíveis filogrupos foi verificada, dois na região central e um terceiro ocupando as regiões Central e Sul. Os resultados obtidos para a história demográfica dos filogrupos não foram conclusivos, porém, é provável que o filogrupo que ocupa as regiões central e sul esteja em processo de expansão populacional. Foi ainda verificado que o nível de variação observada por filogrupo diminui no sentido norte/sul, o que permitiu que uma hipótese sobre origem e dispersão da espécie fosse proposta.

Low levels of polymorphism were detected, getting 40% of polymorphic loci and 1,5 alleles/Iocus. The expected average heterozygosity for all the analyzed colonies was 0.180 and the observed average heterozygosity was 0.107. The analyzed subpopulations were well structured, with significant genetic variation (FST = 0.552). The analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) revealed that 81.23% of the total genetic variability is explained by variation among populations, what confirms the structure observed. The grouping analysis of the colonies, did not reveal the formation of groups corresponding to their geographic origin. However, when grouping colonies according to localities, it was verified that the population of Viçosa was more genetically different from the others, and that populations of São Miguel do Anta, Teixeiras and Porto Firme were closer to that collected in Rio Vermelho, than to population of Viçosa, although Rio Vermelho was geographically more distant. More detailed studies, analyzing a larger number of colonies and using microsatellites primers specific for P. helleri, must be carried out in order to supply more conclusive information about the genetic variability of these bees.<br>A variabilidade genética de 66 colônias de Partamona helleri coletadas em cinco localidades do Estado de Minas Gerais foi estimada utilizando dez locos microssatélites. Baixos níveis de polimorfismos foram detectados, obtendo-se 40% de locos polimórficos e 1,5 alelos/loco. A heterozigosidade média esperada para todas as colônias analisadas foi 0,180 e a heterozigosidade média observada foi de 0,107. As subpopulações analisadas apresentaram forte estruturação, com significativa diferenciação genética (FST = 0,552). A análise de variância molecular (AMOVA) revelou que 81,23% da variabilidade genética total é explicada pela variação existente entre as populações, o que confirma a forte estruturação detectada. A análise de agrupamento de todas as colônias em conjunto, não revelou a formação de grupos correspondentes à origem geográfica das mesmas. Porém, ao agrupar as colônias por localidade, verificou-se que a população de Viçosa mostrou-se mais geneticamente diferente das demais, e que as populações de São Miguel do Anta, Teixeiras e Porto Firme mostraram-se geneticamente mais próximas daquela coletada em Rio Vermelho, do que da população de Viçosa, apesar de ser geograficamente mais distante. Estudos mais detalhados, analisando um maior número de colônias e utilizando primers microssatélites específicos para P. helleri, devem ser realizados a fim de fornecerem dados mais conclusivos sobre a variabilidade genética destas abelhas.
