Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to try to understand the love choice from the psychoanalytical point of view. We assume that loving relationships often repeat some patterns of childhood behavior, mainly the Oedipus and the mother/child relationship. Nevertheless, the choice occurs in different ways according to each partner`s family history. Each individual, with his own singularity, will give a destination to his heritage. Sometimes, however, it becomes difficult to run away from something that has not been expressed at preceding generations. Things that could not be revealed will somehow appear, even though disguised.

Abstract:
This thesis analyzes tourism and tourism policy in Russia from Tsarist to post-Soviet period. In this respect the main focus will be on the post-Soviet period. The collapse of the Soviet Union negatively affected tourism and tourism industry in the country. Tourism and tourism industry found itself in an uncertain environment during the transition period. With the establishment of Russian Federal Agency for Tourism in 2004, tourism policies became more effective in the Russian Federation. This study discusses the implementation of tourism policies and efforts of the Russian government for transforming the country into a well known touristic destination of the world.

Abstract:
The recent atmosphere of cooperation in the United Nations (UN) has resulted in many nations, including the Russian Federation, proposing increases in the scope and nature of security missions that the UN should undertake. This thesis will focus on those security arrangements in the UN from the Russian perspective. This thesis will first examine the historical policy of the former Soviet Union and discuss those aspects that relate to the emerging Russian policy in the UN, namely, the rationale behind a cooperative approach and the factors which might return Russia to those confrontational policies of its predecessor's past. This will be followed by a discussion of Russia's assumption of Soviet responsibilities in the UN and the emerging foreign policy debate within the Russian government. This thesis will then highlight the recent Russian security initiatives in the UN which include proposals for strengthening peacekeeping, peacemaking and preventive diplomacy ventures. Finally, an overview of the motivations and impediments behind Russia's renewed emphasis on strengthening security management within the UN will be presented. Current diplomatic activity within the Russian Federation and United Nations clearly illustrates that Russia is seeking, through a cooperative approach, to expand its influence within the United Nations. However, in the future political infighting within the Russian government will determine the extent of this cooperative policy in the UN.... Klocker, Cornelia Angela. "Collective punishment and human rights : from Israel to Russia." Thesis, Birkbeck (University of London), 2018. http://bbktheses.da.ulcc.ac.uk/370/.

Full text
Abstract:
This thesis analyses collective punishment in the context of human rights law from a New Legal Realist perspective. Collective punishment is a concept deriving from the law of armed conflict. It describes the punishment of a group for an act allegedly committed by some of its members and is prohibited in times of armed conflict by treaty and customary international law. Recently, the imposition of collective punishment has been witnessed in situations outside armed conflict. This means that the applicable legal framework is human rights law and not the law of armed conflict. Human rights instruments do not explicitly address collective punishment. Consequently, there is a genuine gap in the protection of groups affected by collective punishment in situations outside of or short of armed conflict. Supported by two case studies on collective punishment in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and in Chechnya, the thesis examines potential options to close this gap in human rights law in a way contributing to the empowerment of affected groups. This analysis will focus on the European Convention on Human Rights due to its relevance to the situation in Chechnya. The protection and empowerment of groups necessitates a reconsideration of group rights under the human rights framework and challenges the traditionally individual focus of human rights law. By questioning whether human rights instruments can encompass such rights and adapt to the changing circumstances, the thesis contributes to the broader academic debate on rights held by collectivities in general and on collective human rights in particular. The thesis is therefore centred on the following research question: What is the relationship between the legal regulation and state policies on collective punishment under the law of armed conflict and human rights law and what effects does this relationship have on the protection and empowerment of affected groups?

Abstract:
AbstractThis chapter discusses the general legal framework regulating Russia’s welfare system and access for national citizens, foreigners residing in the country, and national citizens residing abroad to social benefits in five policy areas: unemployment, health care, family benefits, pensions, and guaranteed minimum resources. Our analysis shows that the eligibility of Russian nationals for social benefits depends either on their employment status and contribution record (for pensions and other social insurance benefits), or their residence status (for social assistance and healthcare). The overall level of social protection of citizens residing in different parts of the country may differ substantially due to the decentralized structure of the social protection system in Russia. The rights of foreign residents to social security benefits are essentially the same as those of the nationals, as long as they are legally employed and make social security contributions. However, there are two major exceptions: pensions and unemployment benefits. Social assistance benefits provided at the regional level are typically available to all legal residents, foreigners included, with few exceptions. When deciding to permanently move abroad, Russian citizens lose their entitlement to claim social benefits from Russia, apart from acquired contributory public pensions.

Abstract:
The article is the first in Russia to present sociologically correct (relative to the general population) and simultaneously psychologically profound results of 2 All-Russian Internet surveys: screening-diagnostics of the level of resistance/vulnerability to Internet addiction in Russia and its federal districts (2017: n = 3 007, ages 10-40); identification of words - markers of values for norm and risk groups (2018: n = 144, ages 18-28). Methods: Internet addiction test (A. E. Zichkina), self-reports on the duration of the offline period per year, 16-FLO (R. Kettell, MD self-evaluation scale, B intellect scale), ‘Short portrait questionnaire of the Big Five (B5-10)’ (M.S. Egorova, O.B Parshikova), ‘Existence’ (A. Langle, K. Orgler, S.V. Krivtsova), author’s questionnaire, Deception scale. Results: 3/4 citizens of the Russian Federation fall within a normal range, but only 1/4 have no signs of internet addiction. Contrary to social prejudice and statistics from English-language studies, Internet addiction is least pronounced among 18-21-year-old Russian respondents (when they are virtually active). Normally young people are characterised by the needs for Career, Care, the ability to Manage/Control and Influence events/decisions, anticipate internet escapism when they lose their Meaning, Wisdom or Interest. The risk group includes 8.6 % males, and 23.6 % females. Internet addicts 2.3 % (coinciding with global statistics): twice as many women (different from global statistics). Girls under 14, teenagers, men aged 22-25 and women aged 30-35 are at risk and among those considered to be Internet addicts. Adults in this group develop existential indecisiveness, have unmet status-related claims (specifically Respect) and a strongly overestimated willingness to use coping strategies in reality instead of virtually. Internet addicts are most numerous in the Central Federal District (4.6 %), with the highest risk group in the Far East (37.8 %).

Abstract:
The experience of psychological and pedagogical support of gifted children, which consists mainly in the creation of certain conditions in a private educational institution is presented in the article. On the basis of a private lyceum named after G.V. and N.G. Riumin of Ryazan, created by the founder N.V. Riumin – candidate of psychological sciences and by its director L.I. Arkharova – candidate of pedagogical sciences, head of the Pedagogy and Teacher Education Department at FSBEI of HE " Ryazan State University named for S. Yesenin", the experience of cooperation of higher education and general education institutions in the formation and upbringing of gifted children has been studied. L.I. Arkharova’s psychological and pedagogical competencies and long experience enabled to create the conditions for attracting the best teachers of Ryazan. Being rather a small city, when the teachers of the FSBEI of HE " Ryazan State University named for S. Yesenin" know the best of the best by sight, teach the potential teachers a worthy education and “see” the situation from the inside, close cooperation and interaction can be observed. Entering the lyceum, children individually reveal their potential being surrounded by care, warmth, love and attention to the personality of everyone.

MAMAI, Oksana, and Igor MAMAI. "OPTIMIZATION OF THE MANAGEMENT MECHANISM FOR THE INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGION’S AGRICULTURAL SECTOR." In RURAL DEVELOPMENT. Aleksandras Stulginskis University, 2018. http://dx.doi.org/10.15544/rd.2017.054.

Full text
Abstract:
The current trends in the development of innovative activities in Russia are far from fully meeting the expectations associated with improving the competitiveness of products and the quality of life of the population, with the provision of dynamic sustainable growth, and the formation of the innovative economy. The mixed nature of the Russian economy, the fundamentally different technological level and institutional conditions for the development of various sectors exclude the possibility of defining a single model of innovative development that is universal for all sectors. In the current conditions, the technical and technological level of the agrarian sector of the country's economy is the most catastrophically lagging behind the world's leading producers of agricultural products. Domestic agrarian production is 5 times more energy intensive and 4 times more metal consuming, and labor productivity is 8-10 times lower than in the USA, in the leading countries of the European Union and Canada. Not having eliminated this techno-technological backlog, without implementing the advanced development of certain specific areas of scientific research and technological developments in the field of agriculture, Russia's agrarian sector will finally lose its competitiveness and will not be able to ensure the country's food security. Thus, the need for a scientific justification of the theory, methodology and practice of the innovative development management of the agrarian sector of the regional economy in the context of large-scale economic and institutional transformations determines the urgency of the issue. Currently, most of the works of domestic researchers put emphasis on the problems of knowledge transfer, at the same time, the methodology for creating and commercializing competitive scientific knowledge through the formation of innovative agricultural clusters is beyond the scope of scientific research, and its management and economic mechanism has not been developed yet. Thus, the aim of this research is to develop proposals for optimization of the management mechanism for the innovative development of the region's agricultural sector (by the example of the Samara Region of the Russian Federation). The research used a set of methods of scientific knowledge used at both theoretical and empirical levels (conceptual modeling, synthesis and analysis, tabular and graphical interpretation of theoretical information and empirical data).

Knight, Ruth, and Kylie Kingston. Gaining feedback from children in The Love of Learning Program. Queensland University of Technology, 2020. http://dx.doi.org/10.5204/rep.eprints.206154.

Full text
Abstract:
This report details both the process undertaken to develop an evaluation instrument that can collect feedback from children in the Love of Learning program and feedback the children have provided. A total of 178 children who are beneficiaries of the program completed the survey, and 91% confirmed the program was positively supporting them. They provided their feedback using a 20-question survey which measured four protective factors that previous research suggests supports children to engage with and enjoy learning, helping them to thrive in school and life. The protective factors are known to foster social, emotional, and academic development and success. There is a strong positive association between these factors, and the results of the survey suggest the Love of Learning program is influencing children's attitude towards learning and school. This report highlights some of the design challenges and complexities when engaging children in participatory evaluation. Importantly, to ensure children are given an opportunity to provide feedback, they must be supported by their foster carer who need to also feel informed and confident to be part of the evaluation process and empower children to speak up. Further research will now be conducted to implement the evaluation process more widely and ascertain if the protective factors improve a child’s health, educational engagement, and performance.
