Abstract:
Psycholinguistics, as a science emerged from linguistics and psychology, uses psychological methods to study the linguistic realities of language. The development of a new scientific discipline entails the application of a new methodology for text analysis, which contributes to the discovery of completely new, unique data. At present, experimental methods are increasingly used in psycholinguistic studies. The research described in the presented article is of an experimental nature and is aimed at identifying the features of the semantic association perception in texts of different genre and stylistic affiliation. In the course of the analysis of the obtained material, presented by the texts of artistic, journalistic and colloquial functional styles in Russian and English, it was found that the lexemes of neutral semantic association are the most susceptible to adequate perception. The revealed distribution of recipient reactions is explicated by the specificity of linguistic units with negative and positive connotations.

Abstract:
The paper highlights and describes the characteristic linguistic and stylistic features of Milan Petrović's memoirs. The aim of the paper is to single out and describe the basic linguistic and stylistic features of the language by applying grammatical and linguistic criteria and methods. Given that it is a memoir, we tried to determine whether elements of a literary-artistic or scientific functional style prevail in the book. Eight memoir texts by this author are included in the analysis. The conducted analysis of Milan Petrović's style and language in his book suggests several important conclusions. His style is simple, the sentence is narrative, never structurally complicated, with a small number of clauses in its composition. It is an essayistic-scientific style, with many literary touches, with conscious literarization, carried out with the aim of achieving greater beauty of the language. In addition to all this, in the language of Milan Petrović we also find purely scientific linguistic features, such as decomposed predicates, the frequent use of adverbs, as well as the author's 'we', and many historical facts. As for the grammatical features, his language does not differ much from the modern Serbian language. Given that Milan Petrović lived and worked in the area of the Šumadija-Vojvodina dialect, which became the basis of the standard Serbian language, there are very few deviations from the norm in his language. On the other hand, the narration, as well as all the linguistic features underlying his memoirs, represent their most immanent characteristic. That is why we cannot view his memoirs exclusively as a scientific-historical text, but as a literary text, which also contains certain scientific elements.

Abstract:
The article examines the problem of role and place of intellectual expression in scientific discourse. The notion of ‘intellectual expression’, which has not been developed so far, is introduced into scientific analysis. Intellectual expression is regarded as a means of forming and expressing new scientific knowledge in a text. The sense-organizing, text-forming, and stylistic-verbal functions of intellectual expression are described. It is stated that intellectual expression serves as a marker of the peculiarities of the idiostyle of a text’s author. Idiostyle is understood as a specific way of meaning verbalization in academic works of a specific linguistic personality, as a result of which the discourse itself is characterized by a dominant way of organization. For the analysis of specific characteristics of idiostyle, the complex approach is suggested, which unites functional-stylistic and cognitive-axiological methods, making it possible to analyze the dynamics of sense forming, captured in the ‘verbal fabric’ of the text, as well as to interpret the role and place of language and speech units in these dynamics. The units of analysis are cognitive-evaluative actions and extended variative repetitions. The term-notion of intellectual expression is suggested; semantic, text-building, and stylistic-verbal functions of intellectual expression are discussed. It is concluded that M. N. Kozhina's idiostyle is imbued with a high degree of intellectual expression, which is predetermined by a large number of evaluative and cognitive actions and extended variative repetitions of different kinds and functions found in the text. The paper argues that the process of verbalization of new scientific knowledge in the text is carried out by means of cognitive evaluation as a deliberate choice by the author of a particular logical action, which is necessary, in the opinion of the scientist, in this particular fragment of presenting a scientific idea.

Abstract:
The article considers and summarizes the main groups of phraseology in view of their ability to create a stylistic effect in the texts of different functional styles of the German language/ Attention is focused on such types of phraseological inversions as phraseologies that have the feature of a group of words, which include idioms, double forms, and inversions that have the characteristics of sentences, which include proverbs, sayings, aphorisms, winged expressions, sentences and slogans. It is emphasized, that, mainly, phraseology serves in the stylistic arrangement of texts of certain functional styles to express the image-emotional assessment of objects and phenomena. An important aspect is the definition of stylistic functions of phraseology, as they depend on various factors. By areas of use, functional-colored phraseology (phraseology of scientific style, non-terminological phraseology, official-business phraseology) is distinguished. According to the functional style, type of text, stylistic color and other connotations, phraseology can have the following functions: 1) enhancement of clarity and emotionality; 2) expression of personal attitude; 3) strengthening pragmatic influence; 4) euphemistic function. Emotionally expressively colored phraseological units are widely used on oral and written speech, in all functional styles. Phraseology is an effective means of artistic representation. The ability of phraseological units to perform one or another pictorial function is based on their connotative meaning. Phraseologisms are characterized by great imagery, emotionality, expressiveness, stylistic color, potential ability to modify. All this contributes to the dynamism of phraseology, defines them a certain place in the texts of fiction. As a result of the processed material it was found, that neutral phraseology is used in different functional styles, and a group of expressive-phraseological units is used mainly in everyday speech, as well as in texts of fiction and non-fiction.

Abstract:
By examining the syntactic structure of poetry, we may comprehend and characterise the current level of linguistic thought as well as the manner in which different writers use it. This linguistic research will provide useful information for analysing syntactic phenomena in language reality. The object of the research is a collection of poems by Mykhailo Kameniuk "Songs of a Gentle Vagabond", and the subject of analysis is the syntactic features of the poems presented in the publication. The purpose of the article is to identify and characterize the specifics of the syntactic organization of Mykhailo Kameniuk’s poetry collection "Songs of a Gentle Vagabond", to establish specific methods of organizing artistic imagery at the syntactic level, to select illustrative material that would reveal the poet’s linguistic manner of writing. Research methodology. The general scientific techniques employed in the analysis of the collection are analysis and synthesis as theoretical methods-operations that, in the first place, aim to comprehend the phenomenon of a poetic work and its existence in the plane of theoretical characteristics; these techniques are subordinated to the need to understand the main trends in the development of the aesthetic and literary discourse of poetry, without which it is impossible to consider the syntactic features of poetic works; and finally, abstraction and concretization as theoretical methods of operation; The deductive-inductive method as a cognitive action that allows you to move from the empirical experience of perceiving the structure of a poetic text and its understanding to certain theoretical generalizations (induction), and from them to other phenomena and processes, the comprehension of which is subject to the theoretical positions obtained through generalization (deduction). Using the formal method, which permits analysing a literary work’s form as a collection of techniques in terms of their aesthetic impact on the reader, the structural-semiotic method, which aims to characterise the poetic text's structure and is subordinated to the task of carrying out aesthetic communication between the author and the reader, and the method of providing a comprehensive and methodical explanation of the phenomenon of a poetic work and its existence, which is carried out in the process of linguistic and literary cognition, are added to the general scientific methods. The main content of the article is a detailed analysis of the syntactic organization of Mykhailo Kameniuk's poetry. Each artist's speech originality is unique due to the structural and stylistic elements of poetic speech, which represent their mood and worldview. Characteristics of the author's basic syntactic structures for the expression of the sentence's principal participants: The majority of subjects are simple, denoted by singular or plural common or proper nouns in the nominative case; subjects that do not function as nouns serve a specific artistic purpose, mainly preserving the emotive and sentimental tone of poetry. Among the compound two-element predicates, the most commonly used predicate is "null-copula + noun in the nominative case", which expresses a constant feature or a qualitative characteristic inherent in the subject. In the poetry of M. Kameniuk, inverse constructions are actively functioning, in which predicates precede subjects, direct objects precede word forms, on which they depend, agreed definitions occupy a postposition relative to descriptive words, often removed from them by other members of the sentence, which transfers the semantic imposition to inverted units. Incomplete syntactic constructions, in particular incomplete elliptical and incomplete contextual sentences, are actively functioning in the author’s poetic work. The carried-out research allows us to conclude that the poetic syntax of M. Kameniuk is characterized by the richness and variety of syntactic units that allow to convey the psychological state of the lyrical hero and the originality of the vision of the depicted by the author.

Abstract:
This paper is the first complex research of lexical synonyms as components of the artistic discourse of modern Ukrainian female prose introduced into the field of semantic, linguistic and stylistic analysis. One of the mandatory aspects of the learning about the internal structural organization of the language of economic works is the study of the composition, semantics, thematic parameters, the contextual load of lexical nominations, that is, the study of the vocabulary as the basis of each functional style, each specific text. The vocabulary components’ characteristics are directly related to the genre and style, thematic and pragmatic focus of the analyzed texts. These texts represent the popular science substyle of the early 19th and the late 20th centuries, when there was no clear distinction between actual scientific and popular science researches. This fact significantly affected the manner of information presentation, therefore, the language structure of the works (for example, the active use of colloquial expressions, phraseological units and colloquial syntax structures in the context of the book vocabulary). These features also had a pragmatic motivation: they were aimed at the simple and comprehensive presentation of complicated scientific information, since I. Such a specific element of political communication as a slogan, which is often used within the election campaign, has been to the present day a less studied issue in the Russian and Kazakh political linguistics. Nowadays this genre of political text is being mainly mastered by the sociologists, politologists, image-makers, etc., dealing with the issues of electoral technologies. This article deals with the study of stylistic features of a political slogan which are characteristic for the election campaigns of Russia and Kazakhstan held in the period of recent decades. The results of the study show that the main purpose of their use is to enhance the expressiveness of the statement. This allows us to conclude that the language of political slogans has great opportunities and resources to implement this impact. It also becomes apparent that persuasiveness is one of the key functions of the slogan's pragmatic functions.
