Abstract:
This paper presents an extension of the Haskell programming language with the objective of improving modularization of functional programs. This extension, AspectH, extends Haskell with aspect oriented concepts. AspectH implements Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) through pointcuts and advice, like in AspectJ, and was designed to be used in Haskell programs that use monads. Keywords: Aspect-oriented programming, functional programming, Haskell, monads

Abstract:
Performing an action and concurrently describing it creates possibilities for observing how speech and action are synchronized and mutually shape each other. The results to be described show that iconicity is an organizing principle of motion control — actions are performed in relation to speech in such a way as to create an image of the meaning in part. Four English-speaking subjects described their goal-directed actions, step by step, as they assembled a small aquarium. Among the factors observed to have an impact on synchrony are, in speech, perfectivity (imperfective or perfective) and, in action, the logical form of the action (Vendler’s activities, accomplishments and achievements). These factors must be considered jointly. Depending on the logical form, speakers placed the linguistic center (‘L-Center’) of the description — the satellite or a preposition in the case of activities and accomplishments; the verb itself in the case of achievements — in such a way as to recreate the aspectual viewpoint concurrently encoded in speech. Imperfective aspect was indexed with progressive verbs. L-Centers with this aspect were placed inside or prior to the completion of the action. Perfective aspect was indexed with non-progressive verbs. L-Centers of this kind were placed after the action. In addition, the actions themselves were longer with imperfective aspect, even when the same logical form of action was involved. Non-functional movements were added to goal-directed actions to help create the imperfective aspect, and both speech and action timing were adjusted to create the aspectual viewpoint. These patterns are reminiscent of the perfectivity differences in gesture performance described by S. Duncan (2003) for Mandarin and English. Motor movements adapt to language in a way similar to gestures. Theoretically, there is a three-sided synchrony of two forms of motor action (speech, manual manipulation) and the logical form of the action. The theoretical discussion considers two ramifications: the implications for ‘cognitive being’ of building aspect into action, which suggests a mechanism of the mutual shaping of speech and action; and the brain organization that might underlie the three-sided synchrony, with emphasis on the role of BA 44 and BA 45 (‘mirror neurons’), collectively ‘Broca’s Area’, in the orchestration of actions under some meaning (actions of gesture, manipulation, and speech); these areas include language but are broader in function than the classical term ‘language area’ implies.

Abstract:
The article uses the results of a project aimed at studying the relationship between language and ethnic identity of non-Russian immigrants from the former Soviet Union in Western Europe. It is concluded that, on the one hand, the first-generation migrants «export» patterns of using L1 (ethnic language) and L2 (Russian language) formed in their native country. On the other hand, in a foreign cultural environment there is a transformation of existing and appearance of new functions and values of L1 and L2. Regarding L2 the author draws two main theoretical conclusions: 1) in a migration situation, the Soviet concept of the Russian language as a language of interethnic communication receives its «second life», 2) L2 fulfills the functions of the inner language — the language used for «internal» purposes, that is, for communication with people from the post-Soviet space sharing a common past and socialization experience

Abstract:
This article studies functional and semantic Tense/Aspect complexes in Russian and English, focusing on their similarities and differences. In Russian, Tense-Aspect meanings of the verb forms correlate with the semantic components of Aktionsart, while in English both Imperfective and Perfective aspects of the verb semantics are realized by the constituent category of Tense/Aspect. The inner asymmetry of the verb forms and meanings is acknowledged for each of the contrastive languages, especially for the two languages compared. The material of the study is retrieved from grammar books and manuals and from literary text samples, principally concerns the use of Tense/Aspect forms of the Russian verb and the forms of the English Perfect. The novelty impact of the study is determined by focusing on the irregularity of the aspectual meanings of English Perfect forms and Tense/Aspect forms of the Russian verb, whereas they are mostly due to lexical meanings of the verbs influenced by intralinguistic specificities of the semantics of lexical indicators as well as mechanisms of communication on the whole. Aspectual meanings both for the Perfective and Imperfective Aspect in languages under comparison used to make up lexical and grammatical aspectual categorical complexes. In terms of Aspect and Tense, peculiarities are found as functional and semantic ones, highly dependent on the situation and context of communication, thus involving extralinguistic factors which also concern the extralinguistic environment of Tense/Aspect verbal forms in use. The comparison of functions and the semantics of Aspect and Aktionsart in the Russian language with those of English Perfect asymmetry is proved to emerge, being caused by cross-linguistic structural and typological differences, particularly, the existence or not the similar forms, their varying semantic load, analytical or synthetic tendencies and others. The asymmetry is especially vividly seen translation and lexicographic field to compose varying kinds of bilingual dictionaries.

38 ejaculates of dogs of various breeds from2to 6 years old were examined in a short-term 120 min survival test. The examination focused on the functional parameters of sperm (motility, percentage of live spermatozoa, acrosomal integrity) and their morphology. The levels of relationship between individual criteria of sperm analysis were demonstrated. Statistically highly significant correlations between motility, ratio of live spermatozoa, percentage of intact acrosomes and percentage of spermatozoa with altered superficial structures were proven. Our findings proved the sensitivity of superficial structures, primarily plasmatic membranes, and the higher resistance of structures with an organelle basis. Strict morphological sperm analysis provides important information about the rise in qualitative alterations of ejaculates caused by changes in superficial structures during the course of a short-term survival test.

Abstract:
Abstract Ensuring the provision of suitable living units remains one of the most challenging issues among the architects. The economic conditions in Kosovo represent one of the factors that influenced the functional and spatial change in multi-apartment buildings. Taking into account the passing of time, economic conditions, the requirements and needs of the communities change, those affects change in the functional and spatial aspect. The construction of multi-apartment and individual buildings, as well as other buildings with other uses in the center of the cities represents a delicate issue. On the other hand, the need for reconstruction and re-destination of usage of the existing residential buildings is becoming an important topic for the society in Kosovo. The issue is somewhat sensitive regarding the multi-apartment residential buildings, given that the usable surface is increasingly limited. The next challenge for the architects will be the treatment of the existing areas, their adaption in harmony with the requirements of the new generations, social changes that Kosovo is dealing with. The entire endeavor to reach a more comfortable solution is realized through treatment of the residential spaces not only in function wise, as well as in the exterior, through the transparence in architecture. The aim of the paper is to show transformation of the living spaces through real example, in Prishtina.

Abstract:
Introduction. The phenomenon of “tradition” is a key link in understanding the specifics of the current cultural processes. The problem of preserving and developing the ethnocultural tradition has acquired a new impetus for comprehension against the background of the emergence at the turn of the XX–XXI centuries of the so-called ethnic revival, the increased attention of peoples, including the Finno-Ugric ones to their own cultural and historical roots. This is facilitated by the strengthening of the integration of cultures within the Finno-Ugric community in the context of the formation of a new socio-cultural paradigm. Materials and Methods. The theoretical material of the study was the work of scholars in the field of studying the modern socio-cultural process, in particular on the example of the cultural heritage of the Finno-Ugric peoples. The reliability and research validity of the results is provided by the sociocultural approach, as well as by comparative and typological research methods. Results and Discussion. In the process of being an ethnocultural tradition in modern society, the process of festivization of the cultural process plays an important role, among other circumstances. It is characterized by the use of the phenomenon of ethnoculture as an external attribute, the functioning of which is reduced only to entertainment, creating the effect of festivity of the action, which leads to the devaluation of its value. However, the analysis of the new picture of the world that took shape at the turn of the XX–XXI centuries allows us to conclude that the idea of the integrity of the world, the understanding of space and time that underlie it, as well as the ecological and adaptive potential of the ethnocultural tradition remain consonant with the modern world, and this gives grounds for their preservation and development in the modern era. These conclusions fully apply to the cultural practice of the Finno-Ugric peoples at the present stage. Conclusion. On the basis of the studied material, a conclusion was made about the change in the functioning of the Finno-Ugric ethnocultural tradition in accordance with the objective conditions of its existence.

Increasing global attention to security issues resulting in the need for more detailed study of all aspects of safety, their definition and classification, to form a more correct legal regulations contain provisions required in the design and operation of high-tech industries. The result of this study - the emergence of new aspects of security. One aspect to be considered, introduced the concept of "functional safety". This concept has already appeared in the international regulations governing the status, the implementation of which is recommended for the creation and operation of control systems for the automation of high-tech industries. The concept of "functional safety" when administered in the Patriotic-governmental practice requires the use of the term, respectively reasoned determination of the system of domestic regulations with the necessary set of regulations governing the provision of its practical implementation. The report addressed issues of functional safety and regulatory management in the field of electromagnetic compatibility of technical means on the electrified railways.

Abstract:
The goal of this research was to add visual-captured data and analytical from the aspects of function as inputs for designers to be able to propose design on revitalizing the area of Taman Fatahillah. There were two problems that had been found. First, the historical street furniture had not been thought to be part of a new development of the area. Second, the newly added street furniture had not been integrated into the original purpose of Taman Fatahillah. The research used qualitative descriptive methodology with observation and visual-captured methods to collect all data needed. The conclusions are the seating furniture from the old plan has been changed its function, some of them function properly, and one of them does not function properly. Part of the newly added seating furniture in this area functionally works, but one of them does not functionally integrate into the surroundings of Taman Fatahillah as a historical revitalized public area.

Abstract:
To generate functional modules as functionally and structurally cohesive formations in protein interaction networks (PINs) constitutes an important step towards understanding how modules communicate on a higher level of the PIN organisation that underlies cell functionality. However, we need to understand how individual modules communicate and are organized into the higher-order structure(s) of the PIN organization that underlies cell functionality. In an attempt to contribute to this understanding, we make an assumption that the proteins reappearing in several modules, termed here as multimodular proteins (MMPs), may be useful in building higher-order structure(s) as they may constitute communication points between different modules. In this paper, we investigate common properties shared by these proteins and compare them with the properties of so-called single-modular proteins (SMPs) by analyzing three aspects: functional aspect, that is, annotation of the proteins, topological aspect that is betweenness centrality of the proteins, and lethality. Furthermore, we investigate the interconnectivity role of some proteins that are identified as functionally and topologically important.

Abstract:
This study describes the disaster preparedness level of public health centers in DKI Jakarta Province to deal with disasters. The study for this mini-thesis used a mixed method approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document reviews by referring to the guideline in the PAHO: Evaluation of small & medium-sized health facilities series 4. Variables studied were disaster potentials, structural safety, non-structural safety, and functional aspects that were then synthesized to determine the disaster preparedness level of the public health center, which is referred to as Puskesmas in Indonesian. Results showed that the preparedness scores were 0.65 and 0.6 for Puskesmas X and Puskesmas Y, respectively. This means that both public health centers are in the preparedness level B, requiring both public health centers to do interventions in the near future because they still have risks when facing disasters. The score for structural safety of both public health centers was 0.77, or classified as “a”. This reflects the adequacy of the structural safety of both public health centers to face disasters. The non-structural safety scores for Puskesmas X and Puskesmas Y were 0.65 and 0.63, respectively, which were interpreted as “b” classification. This shows that both public health centers still have risks in terms of their non-structural aspect when dealing with disasters. The scores for the functional aspect of Puskesmas X was 0.53, while Puskesmas Y presented a score of 0.39. Hence, the functional aspect of the two public health centers was in “b” classification, meaning that both public health centers still have risks in terms of their functional aspect when dealing with disasters. Therefore, both public health centers must continue to improve the disaster preparedness level of their facilities in terms of their structural, non-structural, and functional safety aspects.

Abstract:
The heterogeneous distributed embedded systems integrated of multiple functions with different criticality levels are multi-functional mixed-criticality systems (MMCSs). The state-of-the-art work has studied the real-time scheduling in MMCS; however, it is not well designed in system switching mechanism and operation which may lead to missing the deadlines of high-criticality functions and redundant operation. In this study, we improve and optimize the problem by developing an algorithm called rearrangement-based scheduling for MMCS (RSM). The RSM algorithm optimizes the following two main aspects. The first aspect is optimizing system-criticality switching mechanisms, including system criticality changed up and down. The second aspect is the effective operation in system-criticality switching to reduce redundant operation. Experiments are performed, and results show that the RSM algorithm can achieve lower overall makespan and deadline miss ratios (DMRs) than the existing algorithms.

Abstract:
Generally, descriptions of the pelvic floor are discordant, since its complex structures and the complexity of pathological disorders of such structures; commonly the descriptions are sectorial, concerning muscles, fascial developments, ligaments and so on. On the contrary to understand completely nature and function of the pelvic floor it is necessary to study it in the most unitary view and in the most global aspect, considering embriology, philogenesy, anthropologic development and its multiple activities others than urological, gynaecological and intestinal ones. Recent acquirements succeeded in clarifying many aspects of pelvic floor activity, whose musculature has been investigated through electromyography, sonography, magnetic resonance, histology, histochemistry, molecular research. Utilizing recent research concerning not only urinary and gynecologic aspects but also those regarding statics and dynamics of pelvis and its floor, it is now possible to study this important body part as a unit; that means to consider it in the whole body economy to which maintaining upright position, walking and behavior or physical conduct do not share less than urinary, genital, and intestinal functions. It is today possible to consider the pelvic floor as a musclefascial unit with synergic and antagonistic activity of muscular bundles, among them more or less interlaced, with multiple functions and not only the function of pelvic cup closure.
