Abstract:
The psycho-historical theory of art posits that the functions of an artwork are effects of that artwork selected and reproduced because they fulfill humans’ mental and social needs. To develop this account, I hypothesize a cluster of core functions of environmental art, which encompasses effects such as tracking, broadcasting, emotions manipulation, cooperation, and critical reflection.

Abstract:
<p>The problem in this research is about how to assess the aesthetics and functions of craft art in Indonesian city public space compare to other cities in other countries. It is also about how these craft arts can be used to improve the aesthetics and strength a city’s identity. Approaches used in this research are aesthetic theory and sociology of art. Aesthetic theory is used to assess the craft art textually or intra aesthetics. Sociology of art theory is used to see how craft art role can fulfil its function as a medium for craftsperson to participate in creating an art work that is useful to the society, so the existence of craft art in public space can give positive impacts towards the urban society. Results of this research is a positive impact of the craft art existence in some Indonesian public places where craft art becomes a city icon or identity with a special symbol attached to it; as a sign of historical or contemporary works. It also creates the aesthetics of a city design to be more humanist and healthy for all citizens.</p>

Abstract:
Abstract: Contemporary post-aesthetic art implies an expanded concept of the work of art that also includes political functions. Beuys’s concept of social sculpture and Marcuse’s idea of society as a work of art can be complemented by Abreu’s project of a musical orchestra as a social ideal (the Venezuelan example of the music and education project El Sistema) and the Neue Slowenische Kunst transnational state formed from the core of art. These concepts are close to the views of Hakim Bey (Temporary Autonomous Zone), with D’Annunzio also touching upon them with his State of Fiume (1919–1920), for which he wrote the constitution and defined music as its central governing principle. Although the art state is a utopian project, art can serve a variety of emancipatory functions even in the dystopian present to intervene in and change the political. In this article, we also discuss the case of art activism in Slovenia, where culture (with many engaged artists) has become a central part of civil society oriented towards social change. Art activism contributes to an expanded concept of the political, which includes new subjects and new forms of antagonisms. Likewise, such repurposing of art emphasises its role in research.

Abstract:
The article studies the peculiarities of promoting art spaces as significant social and cultural objects that act as a locomotive for territorial development, attracting tourists and involving the population in cultural activities. Theoretical approaches to the marketing of art objects and art industry have been analyzed. The key functions of art spaces have been studied. It is proved that art spaces marketing has a more complex structure due to the promotion object multifunctionality than art objects marketing. The author’s art space marketing communication model has been proposed. It is based on the art spaces functions for visitors, sponsors, partners, and government agencies. This model allows differentiating targeted marketing communications for each audience, based on the functions and needs of target groups and partners. Unlike art marketing, art spaces marketing implies a complex communication with target audiences, which includes historical social and cultural, territorial, tourist, socialization, and other aspects of art space. The article substantiates the position that art space cannot be only a commercial project, but due to its social and cultural aspects should perform socialization tasks for young people. Hence, there is a need for legal regulation of art spaces in the public-private partnership framework. This requirement introduces its own adjustments in the marketing communications construction.

Abstract:
The author considers geortonyms as one of the varieties of modern advertising names: the subject of the study were the names of art projects of the State Tretyakov Gallery of the last 5 years, the purpose of the study is the mechanisms and specifics of the implementation of the main functions of these commercial nominations. To analyze the structure, semantics and stylistic features of geortonyms from the point of view of their functioning, special linguistic methods of functional-structural and contextual-interpretative analysis, as well as the linguopragmatic method were used. Special attention is paid to the study of those components of the studied nominations, with the help of which an effective impact on the target audience is carried out. It is established that the names of art projects implement an informative function that allows identifying the named object, while simultaneously solving informative and educational tasks, as well as an advertising function that involves managing the attention of the target audience in combination with influencing its emotions. The ultimate goal of creating geortonyms of the studied group is the possibility of influencing the behavior of the addressee. The most significant elements of the structural organization of the analyzed nominations and the linguistic expressive means used in their creation, which contribute to the implementation of the specified set of functions, are identified. The obtained results contribute to the study of a specific group of modern advertising names – the names of art projects that play an important role in the modern cultural space. Among all types of names of festive events, this thematic group is the least studied, in this regard, the analysis of these names allows us to obtain new data on how to implement the main functions of geortonyms – this determines the scientific novelty of the study.

Photogrowth is a creativity support tool for the creation of nonphotorealistic renderings of images. The authors discuss its evolution from a generative art application to an interactive evolutionary art tool and finally into a meta-level interactive art system in which users express their artistic intentions through the design of a fitness function. The authors explore the impact of these changes on the sense of authorship, highlighting the range of imagery that can be produced by the system.
