Abstract:
One of the forms of teaching physics in high schools with a natural science specialization and in the junior courses of universities can be an educational research project. The use of modern open scientific data makes it possible to make the project interesting, modern, relevant and multidisciplinary. The implementation of such a project allows the student to understand some areas of modern scientific research and the relationship between various natural sciences. Direct comparison of the project results with published fundamental research and discussion of the differences obtained are possibl

Full text
Abstract:
In epidemiology, risk refers to the likelihood, or in statistical language probability, of an individual in a defined population developing a disease or other adverse health problem. The prime measures of disease frequency, including probability of outcomes, in epidemiology are incidence rates and prevalence proportions. The incidence rate is the number of new cases in relation to a population, time, and place. Prevalence proportion measures all disease or a risk factor in a population, either at a particular time (point prevalence) or over a time period (period prevalence, lifetime prevalence

Full text
Abstract:
Describes the classical properties of electrons, starting with a discussion of fundamental phenomena such as drift, the hydrodynamic model, and the Hall effect. After that there is an excursion into electromagnetic theory, deriving the dispersion equation and showing that materials containing electrons may become transparent above a certain frequency. The effect of the magnetic field is studied by introducing cyclotron waves. There are further sections on plasmas, heat, and the fundamentals of Johnson noise.
