This diploma thesis is based on the experiment which took 5 years. In 52 plastic containers were planted four species wetland plants; two species of grasses (Calamagrostis canescens and Deschampsia cespitosa) and two species of sedges (Carex elata and Carex elongata). Three types of water regime were set up with: high, low and fluctuating water level, where the high and low level of water took turns after one year. One year before the data collection the strongest competitor Carex elata was cut out. For the evaluation of the role of water level (environmental stress) and removal of the dominant (competition) we selected two functional trait indicators: specific leaf area (SLA) and leaf dry matter content (LDMC). SLA is an indicator of resource strategies, competitiveness and efficiency of light photosynthesis. Species with high SLA are usually better competitors for light, but tolerate harder the environmental stress. LDMC reflects a plants investment in persistent leaf structures and therefore in nutrient retention. A significant effect of water regime on LDMC was observed in the species Deschampsia cespitosa that had higher average values of LDMC in dry water regime, which is indicating higher investment into persistent leaf structures. And the effect of the dominant removal on SLA, where the values of SLA in the containers without removed dominant were higher. Increased SLA implies increased intensity of competition for light. My diploma thesis supported that specific leaf area and leafdry matter content are important functional indicators different types of stress conditions in wetland communities.

The dissertation is focused on the bearing production technology issues. The aim of the thesis is to investigate and evaluate the influence of the technological processes on properties of the functional surfaces of an outer bearing ring. The development, rolling, grinding and turning have been selected as basic technological processes. The subject of the surface integrity research on test samples is the measurement and analysis of the quality of the machined surfaces and residual stresses in the surface layers of the bearing rings. The comparison is made in relation to the previous operations - rolling, turning and grinding.

The MA thesis deals with the issue of creating a spatial plan as one of the most important documents which regulate the state of using individual spaces within the Hradec Králové Region from the viewpoint of a Hradec Králové Region Regional Office employee who deals with spatial planning activities as part of his workload. The introduction of this thesis describes the process and the very creation of spatial plans with reference to current legislation that regulates this issue in the Czech Republic. The thesis introduction also describes the Minimum Standard for the Digital Creation of Spatial Plans in the GIS,MINIS project, which is being applied in the Hradec Králové Region as a recommended methodic for creating spatial plans on its territory. The second part of the thesis focuses on the development and evaluation when putting the aforementioned project,methodic in the Hradec Králové Region into practice. As part of the development and evaluation, the impact of creating spatial plans per the cited project,methodic, which concerns all the affected subjects dealing with the issue of creating and subsequently using a spatial plan, will be evaluated. An analysis has also been made based on these evaluations and analyses, whether the Hradec Králové Region selected an appropriate strategy concerning support, which recommends the MINIS methodic when creating spatial plans on its own territory.

The thesis deals with an evaluation of the surface texture of various materials, created by machining technologies (turning, milling and grinding). As for the theoretical part of the thesis, it contains a theoretical analysis of the effect of surface texture on friction, wear, coating and lubricating properties. The main emphasis is put on the analysis of the most frequently evaluated profile and surface parameters as well as their possible influence on the functional areas of machined parts. The experimental part includes evaluated and compared measured data based on the monitored parameters with benefits for machinery industry.

This thesis concerns the project design and building design of school facilities, more specifically kindergarten in Šlapanice. It is a new building of the kindergarten, implemented on land plots numbers 2801/69 – 72 and number 2801/74, which is located in Šlapanice near the city of Brno in southern Moravia. The building is designed for the upbringing and education of preschool children. Kindergarten consists of two units for a total of 40 children, component of the proposed building are also spaces designed for leisure activities (multipurpose room). Horizontally building corresponds approximately T – shaped. It is a building without a basement, with one floor, divided into five functional sections (or zones), with the middle part of the building – community area – is designed to be elevated. The building is designed as a brick construction from Porotherm, ceilings are monolithic reinforced concrete thickness of 300 mm, the roof is made up of the single – layer flat roofs with load layer of washed gravel, entrance doors and windows are made of plastic. This proposal corresponds to the technical requirements and the requirements of the investor (builder).

The subject of this diploma thesis is the architectural design of Skyscraper "EVO" (experimental high-rise building) located in Brno. The building integrates various functions (residential, restaurant, shops, office space and gallery) at relatively small built-up area. The aim of the thesis is to create the design of a high-rise building with appropriate scale and which creates space for interconnection of different functions and will become new dominant of the city. The proposed building is located in the part of the city called Veveří. The building site is defined by Šumavská and Veveří streets. The building is designed as a single rectangular prism shaped volume. The entrances to the building are at the level of surrounding terrain. The building has 31 aboveground floors and 9 underground floors. The simple shape of building is structured by horizontal bands of consoles which create shields against excessive sun exposure and vertical atriums embedded in the main volume. These atriums connect interior and exterior. This atrium create connection between interior and exterior and ease the penetration of natural daylight inside the building. The dominant material used is glass, which is applied both in exterior and interior. The glass used on glazing of atrium sis colored transparent photovoltaic glass. Bands are in white color.

Plant functional traits (plant height, aboveground biomass, R/S ratio, specific leaf area, leaf dry matter content, specific root length and arbuscular mycorrhizal infection) were measured for several grassland plant species growing under different soil fertility conditions in a greenhouse and a field experiments. Traits` response to nutrient addition and the differences in traits among species and between forbs and grasses were studied. Results from the greenhouse and the field experiment were compared.

This diploma thesis deals with the development of land use from 1845 to 2015 in three different model areas of different functions. It examines which driving forces effects on the functions of the localities and which had a major influence on the change of the landscapes of the model areas, and at which time the greatest change in the structure of the land fund occurred. The research localities were selected to verify whether were the same or different driving forces of changing the landscape, and whether their development differed from the national trend of gradual reduction of arable land. In the model area of Chvaleč, this issue was examined up to the detail of individual parcels. Basic social driving forces include the agricultural revolution, the scientific and technological revolution, the expulsion of Germans after the Second World War, the socialization associated with the collectivisation of agriculture and the return to the market economy in the 1990s. The work uses a wide range of statistical sources, in particular the LUCC Czechia database which contains data of land use of the Czechia at the level of cadastral territories, which form a background of research in the mentioned localities. Title: Problems of the functional flatfoot Objective: The aim of this diploma thesis is problems of the functional flatfoot. Main goal is to describe relation between change of structure, disorder of foot function and development of flatfoot. The thesis tries to describe the behavior of foot and arch in standing and walking. Another goal is to summarize the diagnostic possibilities of flatfoot. Methods: The diploma thesis has descriptive-analytical character. It's written in form of literature review. Results: This thesis demonstrates the problem of disunity nomenclature concerning the problem of flatfoot. Specifically, it concerns the interpretation of the words of functional flatfoot, movement components in foot and laboratory diagnostic methods. There is offered an explanation of the concept of functional flatfoot. Further work indicated that the acquired flatfoot is a question of a functional disorder that may progress to structural changes. The static and dynamic loadings were confirmed by the role of small muscles of the foot in the role of dynamic stabilization and influence of femoral rotation on the foot arch. Long-term evolution of nature-society interactions can be studied by using data of land use change. In the thesis is used a detailed statistical database of Czechia (developed at Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science). The database allows monitoring changes of eight categories of land use in the period 1845-2000. Attention is devoted to the growing differentiation of land use at different scale levels, the thesis is concentrated on functional specialization of czech regions. Deepening division of labour between regions is reflected by increasing territorial concentration of land use. This process is monitored by using three methods. Ternary plots present an overview of the differentiation trends of land use. Spatial autocorrelation methods present the general development and specific areas of functional specialization in Czechia. A review by territorial heterogeneity rate provides a detailed look at the change of territorial concentration of land use. The thesis operates with three territorial classifications (hydrological, geomorphological and administrative) at two regional levels and the level of Czechia. Title: Functional disorders in the foot by members of the Honor Guard of the Army of the Czech Republic Objectives: The thesis deals with the activities of soldiers Honor Guard and leg problems arising therefrom. The intention of the theoretical part is generally characterize the activity Honor Guard units, anatomical structure and kinesiology feet, including functional and structural pathology. The aim of the study was to analyze how subjective Musculoskeletal problems are most commonly found among soldiers and assess the impact of the standard used by prestige and sports shoes on his feet when the functional aspects of the activities simulating workloads soldiers. Methods: To obtain basic data on individual participants in research is used surveys using non-standardized anamnesis questionnaire. The main research method to develop practical part of the thesis was to strain gauge device (measuring system) Pedar-X detection and evaluation of plantar pressure, force, contact area and contact time. For processing and evaluation of the data obtained was used program Pedar-X Standard version 3.19.30. Physiotherapist laboratory CASRI was carried out by soldiers basic clinical examination. In the work we modify the well-known minimal surface problem to a very special form, where the exponent two is replaced by a general positive parameter. To the modified problem we define four notions of solution in nonreflexive Sobolev space and in the space of functions of bounded variation. We examine the relationships between these notions to show that some of them are equivalent and some are weaker. After that we look for assumptions needed to prove the existence of solution to the problem in the sense of definitions provided. We outline that in the setting of spaces of functions of bounded variation the solution exists for any positive finite parameter and that if we accept some restrictions on the parameter then the solution exists in the Sobolev space, too. In summary of findings we first address problems of correct and poor posture. We present methods how to easily detect function disorders of locomotive system, their basic characteristics, and how to compensate such disorders, or how to prevent them completely. The research focuses on determination of the most common function disorders in children of young school age. Total of 384 children from 1st and 2nd grades of all elementary schools in Strakonice participated in the survey. The following methods were chosen evalutation of posture according to Jaroš and Lomíček, which disclosed that the most common function disorders apply to lower limbs. Testing according to Matthias showed that 33 % of children suffer from poor posture. The research includes a questionaire, which helped us to find out that poor posture occurs less frequently in children who pursue physical activities.

The Master Thesis deals with the evaluation of the development of territorial plans documentation in the cadastral territory of the town Trebon. The main objective is the evaluation and comparison of the spatial arrangement of the individual functional areas in the territorial plans from the years 1959, 1976, 1993 and 2012; and the contribution of the plans to the development, accouterment, and protection of the examined territory. Another part of the thesis is an own proposal of changes to the current territorial plan. The theoretical part deals with the basic concepts, the history of the legal regulation of spatial planning in the Czech Republic, forms, subjects and processes in spatial planning, the geography of the city and suburbanization. The methodological part describes the database with the issue of its acquisition; the methodical procedure of unifying the legends of the individual spatial plans; and the characteristics of the examined territory. In the analytical part, there is evaluated the historical development of the building composition in Trebon, the conclusions regarding the representation of the individual functional areas in the spatial plans and the comparison of their development. An important component of the thesis is the map outputs presenting the spatial arrangement of functional areas in the territory of Trebon in the analyzed territorial plans.
