Abstract:
A low-noise, variable gain amplier chain was constructed for interfa-cing a sensor to an ADC. During the course of the work two dierent methods -switched-capacitor circuits and chopping circuits - for dealing with 1/f noise wereinvestigated during the course of the work. The resulting circuit did not quitemeet the performance required by the specication, some possible improvementsare suggested.

Although offset printing has been and still is the most common printing technology for color print productions, its print productions are subject to variations due to environmental and process parameters. Therefore, it is very important to frequently control the print production quality criteria in order to make the process predictable, reproducible and stable. One of the most important parts in a modern industrial offset printing is Computer to Plate (CtP), which exposes the printing plate. One of the most important quality criteria for printing is to control the dot gain level. Dot gain refe

International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 21, 2002 / Town & Country Hotel and Conference Center, San Diego, California<br>Simplification of the analog front end of a signal conditioning circuit can be accomplished by over-quantizing the input signal and using DSP for gain and offset. In this case, a much higher precision A/D converter is used than required by the desired output accuracy. The excess bits are then used to allow the DSP math to give an effective gain to the signal. By a similar function, offset of over 100% can be mathematically removed as long as the input

The aim of my diploma thesis was programming of systems for measuring AC, DC and impedance measurements. Each measuring system measures selected characteristics of current amplifier with controllable amplification DACA_N. Control programs I have created in Agilent VEE Pro 9.2. The measured data are stored to executable files in MS Excel for further processing. With created measurement programs I made measurements of eight current amplifiers. The results of individual measurements I compiled into graphs and compared with each other circuit characteristics of amplifiers. Then there is described

The thesis deals about method of gain signals from strain gauge bridges. There are mentioned some signal conditioning methods for bridges amplifiers and charactered their properties. In the next part of this thesis are calculated the amplifier errors for various temperature. There are projected individual variants of strain gage amplifiers (instrumentation amplifier AD524, isolation amplifier, switched capacitor based instrumentation amplifier), their properties are compared with strain gage amplifier Vishay P-3500.

For the purpose of area saving, the entire work is implemented with minimum gate length CMOS devices. This results in severe circuit process variations. To overcome this problem, two digital feedback loops are needed for the DC offset cancellation and gain calibration. The VGA circuit is based on a fully-differential gain stage with a degeneration resistor network. The resistance of this resistor network is digitally controlled to provide enough gain range and re
