Abstract:
India is literally galloping in Industrial Development. The traditional identity of agrarian economy is superseded by rapid industrialization. The country accords top priority for industrial growth. We have a commendable presence in World Trade Organization as well. India is considered as the mouthpiece of developing nations. Multinational Companies evince keen interest in having joint venture with Indian Corporates. They consider India as the safe platform for their industrial investment here. This, appreciably promotes employment opportunities in the country. People from rural areas move to urban areas seeking employment. The industrial pay structure is also reasonable enough enabling people have a good disposable income. The accumulation of people in the city necessitates more of living space in the city. The rental cost in the city is getting dearer. This results in construction of more number of apartments in multi storied buildings in the city and the outskirts of same. Another important thing that deserves mention is the easily available long term institutional finance for youngsters. They prefer to buy an apartment rather than going in for rental accommodation as, in comparison, the EMI is much better than paying rent which does not give them any benefit at all.

Abstract:
This project work is implemented based on the public issue which has overcome by our people on January 2017 at Ennore Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. The oil skimmer is used to separate oil, from mixtures of aqua and oil. It causes highly acidic alkaline and salty environment remains a great challenge to aquatic organisms and also pollutes the coastal areas. Every year 706 million gallons of waste oil enters the water resources and pollute the environment. Sea water has been polluted due to oil spillage; it also affects the water bodies. If the oil spill increases it results in serious damage to environment. About 90% of contaminated oil can be removed by continuous separation of oil by skimmer belt. This set-up uses polyurethane belt, bearing, supporting L-angle frame, EN 19 Rod & Scraper. This work implemented to improve the separation efficiency of the skimmer belt at manual speeds.

Abstract:
The Criminal Justice System represents the cutting edge of governance. Towering over society, it parades an array of institutions, processes, people, and penalties to reinforce its images. This array includes policemen in uniform, constables with batons or lathis, the police station, courts, jail, bail, sentence, prisons, imprisonment, death row, the gallows, hanging and death. Each of these institutions and processes is part of the Criminal Justice System and yet partly autonomous within it. But a matter of great concern is that there arise multiple questions about whether these institutions are working/functioning properly within their ambit or not. Is there lack of implementation of provisions of criminal law by the enforcing agencies? Whether the recommendations of law commissions are adequately implemented? Whether the Malimath Committee’s Report on Criminal Law Reforms are being adequately addressed and enforced. Is adversarial system of criminal justice in India suitable in the present-day context, or it is high time to accept few principles of inquisitorial system of justice as it is prevailing in common law countries. With these few questions, in the present paper, the researchers have made an attempt to introduce our criminal justice system. The researchers further focuses on reforms recommended by the Law Commission. Finally, the researchers have suggested some important changes/modifications required in the prevailing criminal justice system in India to make it more streamlined and strengthened. Key Words: Criminal Justice System, Adversarial, Inquisitorial, Malimath Committee, Law Commission, Human Rights, Courts, Police, Bail etc.

Abstract:
Water crises is a major problem of Darjeeling, West Bengal, India where rainfall is plentiful. Darjeeling gets only one-third of its daily water requirement through municipal pipelines. The water supply network is mostly town centred so the peripheral areas are deprived of water. Private suppliers also supply water at Rs. 300/- per month per household. Darjeeling Municipality established in 1850 has a centralised water management infrastructure laid down between1910–30. The water supply system originates in Senchel Wildlife Sanctuary, located 15 kilometres upstream of Darjeeling with two lakes and a storage of 33 million gallons of water that is recharged by 26 springs. This centralised system fails to acknowledge the vibrant 90 odd natural springs in the town that people are dependent upon. These urban springs have diverse community-based management systems that have evolved over time and are now facing challenges of rapid urbanisation, market forces, upstream concretisation and contamination and reducing discharges. Due to deforestation which is leading to high runoff resulting to less recharge of groundwater. Women, are worst hit, as they have to travel miles to fetch water in this rugged terrainfor her family while their male counterpart are busy to make both ends meet. Every household maintains a kitchen garden whose water is also being procured by females through irrigation. Rooftop rainwater harvesting is the imperative way to mitigate the water crisis. Moreover, reuse, recycle and reducing wastage will help to mitigate this water crisis.

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the interconnection between climate and economics. This paper attempts to the reason why instead of complimenting each other, economic progress becomes contrary to the climate. Countries are geographical entities or the regions separated by imaginary lines of borders on the surface of the earth. Along with the topography a region is made up of weather, climate, altitude, and latitude and soil structure making each one of them unique. Existence of a species is essentially a story of adaptations and interdependence through thousands of years of coexistence. This interdependence is not just limited in-between living things like plants and animals but interdependence in-between living things with non-living things like seasons, weather pattern, climate etc. Eons before we humans coined the term globalization, the weather or climate was globalised. Topographically, regions may be unique but they are interconnected through winds, clouds etc. The monsoons of south Asia is a case in point. India is often described as an agriculture country where agriculture practice is monsoon dependent. But ‘monsoon adaptive’ is more appropriate than ‘monsoon-dependent’ because we people of India adapted with our given weather and climatic conditions of our subcontinent. Nevertheless this relationship has been disrupted. In last few decades we have been repeatedly ‘guided’ to rewrite the terms in-between us and our environment. We are ‘suggested’ to switchover our agricultural practices from weather dependent to fossil fuel driven -energy dependent in order to make it more ‘efficient’. In this era growth has become the mantra of development. With the advent of industrial revolution economies becomes more and more fossil-fuel driven energy dependent. In this process we burn billions of gallons of oil spewing billions of tons of Carbon dioxide and other green house gases in our atmosphere year after year. This causes global warming which leads to change in climate and erratic weather patterns. Indian agriculture, is coping with a double whammy. In one hand due to the high dependency on fossil fuels the agriculture sector is slipping under the mountains of debt and on other hand it find itself on the receiving end of the human induced climate change in form of erratic weather patterns including monsoons.

Abstract:
The first Asians—Filipino “Luzon Indians” on a Spanish galleon—arrived on the North American continent in the late sixteenth century. Through periods of conquest and capitalism, and then colonization and adaptation, almost one million people from China, Japan, the Philippines, Korea, and India arrived seeking opportunities to better their fortunes and improve their lives. “Empires and migration,” outlines the key historical periods that facilitated this mobilization. It also explains that Asian immigration challenged the United States’ constitutional claims of equality for all, highlighting the question of which racial groups could claim citizenship, triggering America’s first attempts to systematically control its borders and limit the rights of immigrants and visitors.
