Abstract:
Abstract[Determination of the Optimal Number of Trucks in the Garbage Transport Process] The garbage collection process in Batam city is carried out by garbage truck. Trucks must enter the housing and take out the garbage that is in front of each house. the number of garbage trucks is not enough so that the garbage overflows in front of the house. Residents took the initiative to dispose of the garbage in any place so as to create illegal polling stations. The objective of this research are to find the optimum garbage truck to avoid garbage pile in front of the residents' house and to prevent the occurrence of illegal polling stations. The approach used is queuing theory with limited population. Garbage trucks serve a number of houses in one area. The number of houses in one area is limited and fixed. The house is designated as a customer if the amount of garbage in front of the house is more than 5 bags or more than 20 kg. Some data to be observed is the arrival rate and speed of service. Some parameters to be calculated are the queue level, the time of the object in the queue, the probability of the object in the queue sistem, the probability of a number of objects in the queue, and the total cost which is a combination of queuing costs and operational costs. This research was conducted in Batam City. The results show that queuing theory with limited population can be applied to calculate the number of optimum garbage trucks. Implementation of the proposed improvements has an impact on the increase of speed of service rate from 267.2 houses per day to 480.8 houses per day. The optimum number of trucks in region after the implementation of the improvement is 2 Keywords: Queue; Finite Population; Garbage truck

Abstract:
Due to the large amount of waste generated by urban construction, the transportation of construction waste has a significant impact on urban traffic. Understanding the transportation trajectory of garbage trucks can improve the management of transportation routes and reduce traffic accidents. This study analyzes electric waybill and state data of garbage trucks to identify hot nodes of construction waste transportation, where the volume of garbage trucks is relatively high. Management should strengthen the hot nodes to reduce traffic accidents. First, several machine learning methods are used to improve the prediction accuracy of electric waybill generation, where the garbage truck recorded on the electric waybill is regarded as a working truck. Second, the transportation trajectory of working trucks is extracted, and its spatiotemporal characteristics are further analyzed. Hot nodes are found based on density clustering. Finally, a case study is conducted based on the Shenzhen construction waste transportation system. The results show that the XGBoost model can improve the accuracy of the generation of waybill to 90.5% compared with the decision tree model, random forest, and GBDT. Moreover, the density clustering model can discover the hot nodes of construction waste transportation. Considering the minimum number of samples and the neighborhood radius, the clustering number is determined as 100. The ratio of noise points is determined as 0.79. The results can provide decision support for the management of electronic waybill and garbage truck transportation.

Abstract:
Waste management is necessary in today's world because, with the growing population, waste generated by the human is also increasing. Million Tons of waste is being produced by the people all over the world every day. If waste is not properly disposed off, it may lead to huge health issues and it may have adverse effects on our environment also. Among all, waste collection and transportation are one of the costliest stages in solid waste management. As the truck driver must go to each bin every single day and check whether the bin is full or not. If the bin is not full, it is not only waste of time but also wastes of fuel for truck and it also increases pollution due to smoke released from trucks, needs more men for checking all the bins in different routes. In this paper, we are going to propose a smart solution for this problem using the Internet of Things. We use an ultrasonic sensor to measure the size of the bin, and raspberry pi to process the information further. This sensor data will be sent to the cloud using Wi-Fi module of raspberry pi, from the cloud the data is sent to android app. When the trash inside the bin crosses the certain threshold level, that bin and its location are shown in the App using google maps, and the current location of the truck driver is detected, and shortest path is shown. By this the garbage bins can be emptied before the dustbin overflow.

Abstract:
This paper proposes an algorithm for optimizing the garbage collection route in a local community (or a separate settlement). The study was conducted for one garbage truck. To achieve the maximum efficiency of the algorithm, it has been assumed that the points of discharge of collected waste by a garbage truck could be arranged along the way between the proposed clusters of garbage collection points. The optimization of the built routes has been proven, taking into consideration the above assumptions. The study's results could be used to reduce the budget expenditures by territorial community authorities for the collection and disposal of waste. The reported solutions could significantly shorten the garbage collection time, which would improve the environmental and aesthetic situation within the study area. The use of a new algorithm makes it possible to display the results both in quantitative and qualitative forms. An improved k-means algorithm with a maximum cluster size was selected for clustering. Each cluster was built on the basis of the maximal value of garbage truck tonnage. That means that the size of the cluster would be determined by the value of the maximum amount of waste that can be removed by a garbage truck in one run. A task of the traveling salesman was applied to find the shortest path between representatives of one cluster (garbage collection points) calling at all its points and to establish the optimal path between all the clusters formed for a territorial community. The issue related to efficient waste disposal in local communities tends to aggravate rapidly while the task to optimize garbage collection and removal is becoming increasingly acute. This is because at present, along with the increase in the global population, all types of production are increasing their volumes, which, in turn, leads to an increase in the amount of waste, in particular, household.

Abstract:
Vehicles that collect and transport household waste are equipped with complex systems that perform the loading of the waste from the stationary collection containers, take over and pre-compact of material, compaction in the body of the structure and finally the landfill of the collected waste. Of all these operations, the compaction process is by far the most mechanically demanding. In this paper, the structural analysis of the compactor plate from a garbage truck is presented. In the first stage it was carried out parametric modelling of the assembly composed of compactor plate, counter pressure plate, the back of the garbage truck and to be compacted material. After assembly, the dynamic simulation of the compaction process in the garbage truck was performed, and the compaction mechanical stresses for the compactor plate were loaded in the Simulation module of the SolidWorks 2016 program. Here the finite element analysis was performed, resulting in the value and dispersion of the equivalent stresses (calculated by von Mises criterion), displacements and relative deformations of compactor plate from the analysed garbage truck.

Abstract:
The study was carried out explain the feasibility of the investment plan for additional garbage truck by Banjarmasin Environmental Service, viewed from the investment criteria assessment namely in the term of technical, social and econimic feasibility. It was a quantitative descriptive study. The data obtained in the form of Budget Execution Document, Local Revenue Receipt Report, Waste Retribution, and direct interview. The analysis technique is: knowing the source of investment funds, creating a forecast of retribution income during the economic age, making a forecast of operating cost over economic age, evaluating investment proposal with technical analysis, social and economic using NPV, IRR, CBA. The result indicated that (1) From the result of technical aspect and social aspects, the government investment investment for additional garbage truck is feasible to implement. (2) Net Present Value (NPV) method with a social discount rate 9% results negative NPV of Rp.-764.123.860. It means that the investment for additional garbage truck is not feasible. (3) The value of Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is not able to be found since the present value of cost is all negative. So, a positive NPV cannot be found. (4) From Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) method, comparison result between benefit/cost yields a number of 0.49 which means less than 1. Thus, the feasibility analysis of the investment for additional garbage truck is not feasible.

Abstract:
It is shown that due to the growth of waste generated by the metropolis, the processes of their removal and disposal must be more accurately accounted and controlled. If it is impossible to introduce “smart” control systems, it is proposed to search for reserves to increase the efficiency of the processes in their structure. A structural model of operations has been developed that can reduce time costs. The use of incomplete information on the accumulation and removal of garbage leads to unplanned mileage of trucks. In order to avoid unforeseen costs, it is proposed to use early garbage collection, which reduces the frequency of emptying containers. This leads to an increase in the number of truck arrivals to load, but eliminates unforeseen mileage due to inconsistencies in the loading forecast. It is shown that to effectively organize the work of garbage trucks on the transport network of the city, an active, shortest schedule of operations is required, which must be made for several periods. To develop an optimal cyclic schedule of garbage trucks, a method based on the ordering of mixed graphs is proposed. The mixed graph shows the set of garbage collection operations and the time relationships between their execution times. In order to develop an optimal schedule from such a graph, cycles must be removed from the graph. To do this, the “divide and conquer” method was used. The proposed algorithm for graph ordering is used to study the current garbage collection system. As a result of research, higher productivity of garbage trucks and timely removal of organic waste were achieved. The reduction of the weekly working time of 6 garbage trucks with the use of the 70 % container filling level reached 42 hours.

Abstract:
Nowadays, robust and efficient solid waste collection is crucial to motivate citizens to participate in the circular economy by sorting recyclable solid waste. Vocational vehicles, including garbage trucks, contribute significantly to CO2 emissions; therefore, it is strongly recommended, and in the European Union it is mandatory, to replace conventional-fuel-based garbage trucks with electric ones. For providing sustainable and energy-efficient solid waste collection with a heterogeneous fleet, in-depth mathematical computations are needed to support solving complex decision-making problems, including crew rostering and vehicle routing, because the distance and capacity of electric garbage trucks differ from conventional-fuel-based ones. However, the literature on solid waste collection using electric garbage trucks is still relatively scarce. The main contribution of this paper is developing an optimization problem for balancing travel distance assigned to each garbage truck of a heterogeneous fleet. The problem is based on specific requirements of the Municipal Solid Waste Management in Cracow, Poland, where the working time of routes is balanced and the total time of collection service can be minimized. For the problem, an MIP program was developed to generate optimal crew schedules, so that the hitherto network of segregated solid waste pickup nodes can be served using a heterogeneous fleet in which the share of electric garbage trucks is up to 30%. We study the impact of the changed composition of the fleet on modifications in crew rostering due to the shorter range of an electric vehicle compared to a conventional-fuel-based one.

Abstract:
The planning of the garbage trucks’ routes is an essential process in waste collection companies. The main issues in garbage truck routing are determining the optimal routes, minimizing time, decreasing the costs, and reducing the pollution’s emission. In the literature, the time spent at a waste collection point (WCP) is considered as the average time, or it is not included at all. Time spent at a WCP is determined by the processes of picking up, emptying, and putting down the waste containers and the factors specific for different WCPs. Those factors impact the time spent at WCP significantly. Excluding time spent at a WCP or taking the average of that in the planning approach may lead to the inaccurate estimation of total collection time. The aim of this article is to present the multiple regression model for estimating time spent at a WCP. We analyzed the impact of the WCP factors (i.e., building type and number of containers) on the time that a garbage truck spends at it. We initially considered seven chosen factors, five categorical and two numerical. Based on this, we developed the multiple regression model based on linear regression use. Later, the proposed model was validated based on data obtained from the municipal company operating in Wroclaw city, Poland. The study confirmed that the defined factors significantly affect garbage truck’s time spent at a WCP and should be taken into account during waste collection planning processes’ performance.

The article is devoted to the study of the influence of carbon content in the auger material on its wear during dehydration of municipal solid waste in the garbage truck. Using the method of regression analysis, the hyperbolic regularities of screw wear depending on the carbon content in its material for different values of the friction path were determined. Graphical dependences of auger wear were constructed, depending on the carbon content in its material for different values of the friction path, which confirms the sufficient convergence of the obtained patterns. Carrying out additional regression analysis allowed to obtain the pattern of wear of the auger, depending on the carbon content in its material and the friction path, which established the following. After two weeks of operation and wear of the auger during the dewatering of solid waste in the garbage truck, increasing the carbon content in the auger material from 0.2% to 2.1% leads to a decrease in the energy intensity of dehydration of solid waste from 19.6% to 4.4 %, which makes the process of dehydration in the garbage truck cheaper. The graphical dependence of the reduction of energy consumption of dehydration of solid household waste due to increased carbon content in the auger material during its two-week wear is presented. Currently, the problem of environmental hygiene caused by the accumulation of garbage becomes a serious problem for every community. In addressing this problem, an efficient waste transport process is required. This study aims to find the shortest route of garbage transportation in Gorontalo city by using Floyd Warshall Algorithm by finding the smallest weight between each point (Vertex). In this study, the weights used in the Floyd Warshall Iteration Algorithm were Alternative weights obtained by the Multi-Attribute Decision-Making approach (MADM). The criteria for determining weights in MADM use three indicators that affect the efficiency of garbage transportation, namely Distance, time, and congestion. The route used in this study is the dump truck route with 17 garbage transportation points. After obtaining the Alternate weight and iteration using Floyd Warshall algorithm obtained the shortest route with the smallest trajectory weight of 110.845.

Abstract:
Purpose of research is to develop a method for arraging routes for elimination of spontaneously formed unauthorized dumps on the territory of a municipal formation of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation.Methods. The development of a method for arraging routes for elimination of unauthorized dumps is based on the theory of graphs, which includes algorithms for finding the shortest path: Dijkstra's algorithm, Floyd-Warshall algorithm, Ford-Bellman algorithm, Hamiltonian cycle, etc. Having analyzed the peculiarities of using the listed algorithms, the authors have developed a method for arranging a route for the elimination of unauthorized dumps based on the Hamiltonian cycle.Results. The task of arranging a route is reduced to choosing those unauthorized dumps from the detected ones, which will be accepted as the vertices of the graph, between which it is necessary to find the shortest path. The authors' approach to the formation of a set of vertices of the graph is as follows. At the first stage, the initial and boundary conditions are set. The parking of special equipment (garbage trucks) is selected as the zero vertex of the graph, and the SMW polygon is selected as the last (nth) vertex. In this case, it should be taken in the account that after transporting waste from dumps to the place of their burial (landfill), the garbage truck must return back to the parking place. The limits taken into consideration are the maximum distance that the garbage truck can travel without refueling and the volume of the garbage truck body. Then, the closest to the starting point unauthorized dump which represents the greatest danger to the environment is chosen as the first vertex of the graph. An unauthorized dump closest to the first peak is chosen as the second, etc.. The search for vertices continues until the inequalities that take into account the given constraints are satisfied. Next, a graph, an adjacency matrix, and a route are formed. With this approach, for arranging a route, it is optimal to use the Hamiltonian cycle, which ensures finding the minimum path between all the vertices of the graph and returns to the starting point.Conclusion. Application of the authors' method for arranging routes for elimination of unauthorized dumps will make it possible to promptly clean up unauthorized dumps found in the city, which will significantly reduce the environmental load.

Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the study of the influence of auger wear on the parameters of the dehydration process of municipal solid waste in the garbage truck. An improved mathematical model of the drive operation of dehydration of solid waste in the garbage truck is proposed, which takes into account the wear of the auger and allowed to numerically determine the dynamics of the drive during start-up. It was also established that increasing wear of the auger, the pressure of the working fluid at the inlet of the hydraulic motor rises, and the angular velocity and speed of the auger is significantly reduced. The research of this mathematical model was carried out using the numerical Runge-Kutta-Felberg method of the 4th order with a variable integration step. By means of the method of regression analysis, the power dependencies of the change of nominal values of pressures at the inlet of the hydraulic motor, angular velocity and speed of rotation of the auger from the value of its wear are determined. The last-mentioned dependence defines the detuning from the optimal speed of the auger during its wear and is used to determine the energy consumption of dehydration of solid waste, taking into account the wear of the auger. It is established that the wear of the auger by 1000 mm leads to an increase in the energy consumption of dehydration of solid waste by 11.6%, and, therefore, also leads to an increase of the cost of the process of their dehydration in the garbage truck. It was also established the expediency of further research to determine the appropriate material of the auger and the ways to increase its wear resistance.

The plethora of information available presents a host of interesting challenges and opportunities for industrial and organizational (I-O) psychology. When utilizing big data sources to make organizational decisions, our field has a considerable amount to offer in the form of advice on how big data metrics are derived and used and on the potential threats to validity that their use presents. We’ve all heard the axiom, “garbage in, garbage out,” and that applies regardless of whether the scale is a small wastebasket or a dump truck.

Abstract: Residential waste contributes up to 55% of the total volume of urban waste such as in Jakarta. It makes the transport process of residential waste to temprorary landfill site (TPS) that has been existed, less efficient. Transporting waste process with garbage cart is depended on the manpower, while with the garbage truck, the vehicle’s width and the use of fossil fuels are the weaknesses. Thus, the design concept of a waste transport vehicle using electric motor as driving source is made which has the same payload capacity as a garbage cart in general. Garbage payload along with the main components must be strongly supported by the vehicle frame, which incidentally serves as the support vehicle. In this study, discussed the optimization of electric waste transport vehicle with the help of 3-dimensional CAD modelling, then simulated with static loading to obtain the results of the stress, displacement with the maximum value and location, and can assign the payload distribution position. With variable of the beam profile shape and its thickness, then obtained the optimal order forms, which frame weighs as light as possible but still robust in supporting given loads, which is frame with a cylindrical hollow profile with diameter of 60.3 mm and thickness of 4 mm .

Abstract:
Most industrial trucks are equipped with hydraulic systems designed for specific operations, for which the required power is supplied by the internal combustion engine (ICE). The largest share of the power consumption is required by the hydraulic system during idling operations, and, consequently, the current literature focuses on energy saving strategies for the hydraulic system rather than making the vehicle traction more efficient. This study presents the preliminary realization of an electric-powered hydraulic pump system (e-HPS) that drives the lifting of the dumpster and the garbage compaction in a waste compactor truck, rather than traditional ICE-driven hydraulic pump systems (ICE-HPSs). The different components of the e-HPS are described and the battery pack was modelled using the kinetic battery model. The end-of-life of the battery pack was determined to assess the economic feasibility of the proposed e-HPS for the truck lifespan, using numerical simulations. The aim was twofold: to provide an implementation method to retrofit the e-HPS to a conventional waste compactor truck and to assess its economic feasibility, investigating fuel savings during the use phase and the consequent reduction of CO2 emissions. Results show that the total lifespan cost saving achieved a value of 65,000 €. Furthermore, total CO2 emissions for the e-HPS were about 80% lower than those of the ICE-HPS, highlighting that the e-HPS can provide significant environmental benefits in an urban context.

Abstract:
The accelerated movement of people towards cities led to the fact that the world’s urban population is now growing by 60-million persons per year. The increased number of cities’ population has a significant impact on the produced volume of household waste, which must be collected and recycled in time. The collection of household waste, especially in downtown areas, has a wide range of challenges; the collection system must be reliable, flexible, cost efficient, and green. Within the frame of this paper, the authors describe the application possibilities of Industry 4.0 technologies in waste collection solutions and the optimization potential in their processes. After a systematic literature review, this paper introduces the waste collection process of downtowns as a cyber-physical system. A mathematical model of this waste collection process is described, which incorporates routing, assignment, and scheduling problems. The objectives of the model are the followings: (1) optimal assignment of waste sources to garbage trucks; (2) scheduling of the waste collection through routing of each garbage truck to minimize the total operation cost, increase reliability while comprehensive environmental indicators that have great impact on public health are to be taken into consideration. Next, a binary bat algorithm is described, whose performance is validated with different benchmark functions. The scenario analysis validates the model and then evaluates its performance to increase the cost-efficiency and warrant environmental awareness of waste collection process.

The use of automation in the control system as a means of efficiency of work has been commonly used and is a mechanism that runs automatically using a continuous media controller as instructed. At SMAN 14 Kab. Tangerang in order to improve the adiwiyata program must have a clean and well-run environment, but in the case of a garbage disposal system there are still shortcomings, namely the absence of information to school cleaners when the trash can is full so that the waste piles up, still using conventional methods of waste removal to the shelter. As well as a lack of information to the garbage truck officers who come so that the garbage piles up. With this research, an automatic waste disposal system was created which was intended as a tool to help work and provide hygiene information. The tool to be made consists of ultrasonic sensors and Wemos D1. Where the Ultrasonic sensor will provide volume information on the trash to Wemos D1 that is connected to Adafruit, if it is full Wemos D1 the shelter will retrieve data using the MQTT method. Next will take action to deliver the shelter to a full trash can through a linear actuator for disposal. By making this research can produce a tool with a control system automatically that helps human work as well as notifications regarding the capacity of the shelter and trash

Abstract:
Mbarara Municipality in Western Uganda has for many years struggled to manage municipal solid waste. Leaders in this municipality have mainly attributed this persistent problem to poor financing, failure to enforce existing solid waste management laws and regulations, limited community participation, deprived attitude by the public towards waste collection, and tendency of municipal dwellers to litter. No in-depth academic study in Mbarara Municipality has ever been done to expose and illustrate how corruption directly happens and influence solid waste management. This study fills this knowledge gap by illustrating how corruption influences poor solid waste management in Mbarara Municipality. The study finds that municipal technical officials, garbage truck drivers, their turn boys, garbage sorters, factory owners, and private land grabbers all involved in different forms of corruption have directly and indirectly turned solid waste collection and disposal into a very costly problem to the municipal council and the general public. The article recommends that fighting corruption in all its forms without fear or favor, encouraging them to play their role particularly in sorting waste, adoption of smart technologies, and putting in place measures that attract private investors while protecting the public can help in the effective management of solid waste in Mbarara Municipality.

Abstract:
Today, increasing volumes of household solid waste (HSW) pose a serious problem throughout the world. The solution to this problem is involvement of secondary raw materials and waste in production. The disposal of HSW includes laborious stages of its collection and transportation. Aggregates of the garbage truck work inefficiently, only pressing HSW into a shapeless mass, not subject to sorting and processing. The suggested re-equipment of a special vehicle with aggregates with the combined functions of «loading–forwarding–grinding–pressing– briquetting» will significantly reduce the energy consumption of the transportation process by providing simultaneous processing and briquetting of garbage at the time of its transportation. A scientific and technical problem arises in development of a technique for technical re-equipment of high-performance special equipment with given nominal energy and power characteristics of the machines. It was proposed to solve this problem by combining recuperative systems with reuse of the energy of gravity of the own mass of garbage. Thus, the objective of the work is to develop a rotor-inertial device with reduced energy intensity. Methods of analytical and statistical research of the model range of special equipment with an analysis of its technical characteristics have been applied. To solve the problem of developing a kinematic diagram of a briquetting device, a calculation was performed based on the method of modeling the structure of composite aggregates. Modeling was performed in SolidWorks program in Simulation application package. The developed kinematic diagrams of units and aggregates for briquetting and pressing garbage operate at rated power characteristics of hydraulic equipment achieved due to distribution of drive power among the most energy- loaded operations. The article presents the rationale for effectiveness of the developed rotary- inertia device for briquetting HSW. The originality of the design lies in the structural arrangement of the briquetting unit and the grinding mechanism. The use of the principles of inertial moments and gravity of own mass of garbage allowed us to significantly (by 25 %) reduce the energy consumption of the pressing process and formation of the finished briquette. The use of mechanical energy of the conveyor belt tensioners and of the mass of the roll increased with briquetting under its own weight, allowed to reduce the work spent to form compacted HSW from 48000 kJ to 11970 kJ, to reduce the volume of the pressed roll, to increase the utilization rate of load carrying capacity, to reduce the energy intensity of the process.

Abstract:
William Burroughs described the paranoid man as one ‘who knows a little of what's going on’. In that rare beast, a mainstream Hollywood film that portrays schizophrenia with humanity and without a murder, A Beautiful Mind (2001), John Nash (Russell Crowe) irritates his wife when he says he heard the garbage truck outside at night. He has been hospitalised with psychosis and in that movie convention much imitated in life, anything he says must be taken as fantasy, unless proven otherwise. But the garbage guys are outside and thus begins a process where she (and the audience) begin to trust and identify with Nash again. This is the exception that proves the rule. When a filmic character with mental illness reports the ‘unfortunate event’ on which the film turns, nobody believes him/her: The Couch Trip (1988), Twelve Monkeys (1995), Independence Day (1996), Conspiracy Theory (1997) and K-Pax (2001) all milk this conceit for its full comic potential. Director Alan J. Pakula's paranoid trilogy Klute (1971), The Parallax View (1974) and All the President's Men (1975) project the angst of the unbelieved onto a battered American audience, reeling from Vietnam and Nixon. A flavour of paranoia excites modern science fiction (Total Recall, 1990 and the Matrix trilogy, 1999–2003), and infuses the contemporary celebrity film, The Truman Show (1998).

Abstract:
Road sweepers are ubiquitous machines that help preserve our cities cleanliness and health by collecting road garbage and sweeping out dirt from our streets and sidewalks. They are often very mechanical instruments, needing to operate in harsh conditions dealing with all sorts of abandoned trash and natural garbage. They are usually composed of rotating brushes, collector belts and bins, and sometimes water or air streams. All of these mechanical tools are usually high in power demand and strongly subject to wear and tear. Moreover, due to the simple working logic often implied by these cleaning machines, these tools work in an “always on”/“max power” state, and any further regulation is left to the pilot. Therefore, adding artificial intelligence able to correctly operate these tools in a semi-automatic way would be greatly beneficial. In this paper, we propose an automatic road garbage detection system, able to locate with great precision most types of road waste, and to correctly instruct a road sweeper in order to handle them. With this simple addition to an existing sweeper, we will be able to save more than 80% electrical power currently absorbed by the cleaning systems and reduce by the same amount brush weariness (prolonging their lifetime). This is done by choosing when to use the brushes and when not to, with how much strength, and where. The only hardware components needed by the system will be a camera and a PC board able to read the camera output (and communicate via CanBus). The software of the system will be mainly composed of a deep neural network for semantic segmentation of images, and a real-time software program to control the sweeper actuators with the appropriate timings. To prove the claimed results, we run extensive tests onboard of such a truck, as well as benchmark tests for accuracy, sensitivity, specificity and inference speed of the system.

AbstractWaste management is one form of public service from the government. On the other hand the community must also participate and collaborate with the government in the implementation, decision making, and supervision of waste handling. By using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study answers how collaborative governance processes in handling waste between community self-help and Public Facility Maintenance Officers (PPSU) and the factors that influence it. The results of the study show that collaborative waste management processes have been built with the involvement of government and non-government actors, there are a division of authority, collaboration between community self-help, community waste bank organization, public facility maintenance (PPSU) and the jakarta barat Environtment agency in collaboration with the private sector. Dialogue, trust, understanding, commitment have been established to achieve temporary result. Private involvement in collaborative governance processes is still limited to the stages of waste sorting activities. Research also found that this collaborative process was not perfect. factors that influence, among others are the low understanding of the community about sorting waste, the people's mindset that is still traditional in handling waste, lack of motivation from garbage officers, and less optimal infrastructure and management of garbage truck transportation. For this reason, socialization, more intensive counseling, assistance to change community behavior and innovation in stimulating active participation from the community are needed. Keywords :Collaborative Governance, Waste Management, waste sorting, waste collection, waste transportation, Facility Maintenance Officers (PPSU)

Abstract: According to the United Nations, aquatic pollution affects at least 800 species worldwide, with plastic responsible for up to 80% of the waste. Every minute, up to 13 million metric tonnes of plastic is expected to end up in the ocean, the equivalent of a trash or garbage truck load. Plastic is a design failure; it was never intended to end up in animals' stomachs or at the bottom of the food chain in humans. The fashion industry is a massive contributor to the plastic waste found in the oceans and so it becomes necessary for corporations to take sustainable steps in the direction of reducing Ocean Plastic Pollution. One of the ways to do so would be by recycling ocean plastic into clothes. Our study focuses on analysing global collaborations and suggesting a series of steps for recycling ocean plastic.
