Abstract Weed interference reduces garden egg productivity. Most farmers adopt highly labor-intensive and expensive manual weeding. Employing herbicides reduces manual labor requirements but herbicides known for garden egg productivity are few. The main objectives of the experiment are to assess the weed control usefulness of pendimethalin in garden egg production and assess the concentration effect on herbicide efficacy. Treatments involved were pendimethalin application at 1.0 and 2.0 kg a.i./ha, hand-weeded and un-weeded controls. Weed biomass, weed control efficacy (WCE)

Breakfast cereal was formulated from malted quality protein maize fortified with cowpea and garden egg with the view to producing a breakfast cereal of high nutrient density. The biomaterials were processed using standard methods to flour samples and blended at various ratios. The blended samples were pregelatinized, flaked, toasted and packaged. The flour and products were analysed for proximate, minerals, anti-nutrients, amino acids profile and dietary fibre using standard methods. The results showed that, as more garden egg was added, protein (9.94 – 10.67 %), fat (4.84 – 6.12 %) and fibre

Garden egg nutritional values are numerous. However, few nutritional and epidemiological data exist on the impacts of garden egg consumption on diabetes control. In this experimentally-control designed nutritional study, the effects of scarlet garden egg species (Solanum aethiopicum L.) on lipoglycemic profile, weight control and, pancreas histoarchitecture in diabetic male Wistar rats were examined. Twenty-One adult male Wistar rats inducted with diabetes were randomly categorized into three groups (n = 7, each): Diabetic control (DC); Diabetic treated with aqueous extract of garden egg (DEE)

Abstract:
Invasive mosquito species represent a significant ecological and health issue worldwide. These species have spread from their natural habitats to new areas due to globalization, trade, and climate change. The most well-known invasive species include the Asian tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus), the yellow fever mosquito (Aedes aegypti), and the Japanese mosquito (Aedes japonicus). These species are known for their adaptability, aggressive daytime feeding behavior, and ability to transmit dangerous viruses such as the dengue and chikungunya fever viruses, the Zika virus, and the West Nile virus.
