A motivação do nosso trabalho é a análise de internações diárias por doenças respiratórias para pessoas com mais que 65 anos residentes no município de São Paulo. O efeito de variáveis climáticas e concentrações de poluentes foram incluídos nos modelos e foram usadas as funções seno e cosseno com periodicidade de um ano para explicar o padrão sazonal e obter os efeitos das variáveis climáticas e poluentes controlando essa sazonalidade.

The spatial and temporal distribution of Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether (MTBE) and BTEX (Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylenes) compounds were assessed in a multipurpose reservoir, Lake Lewisville, Texas between February 1999 and February 2000. Concentrations of MTBE ranged from 0.0 - 16.7 mg/L. Levels of MTBE in the lake were related to watercraft. BTEX concentrations were never detected above 2.0 mg/L during the sampling period. A study of the vegetation community identified 466 species in 104 families, with 25% of the species from only two families, Asteraceae and Poaceae. In the Permian Basin, strata of Leonardian age typically consist of interbedded carbonates and siliciclastics interpreted to be turbidite deposits. Happy Spraberry Field produces from a 100-foot thick carbonate section in the Lower Clear Fork Formation (Lower Leonardian) on the Eastern Shelf of the Midland Basin. Reservoir facies include oolitic- to-skeletal grainstones and packstones, rudstones and in situ Tubiphytes bindstones. Potassium is one of the three most important elements in fertiliser, but in comparison to the mobile anions nitrate and phosphate, there has been little study of its transport within drainage basins. Potassium is a monovalent cation that sorbs strongly to soil constituents; leaching losses are expected to be minimal.
