Sitagliptin is an oral antihyperglycemic drug classified as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor; commonly used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It works by promoting insulin secretion and decreasing glucagon levels through the inhibition of incretin degradation in a glucose-dependent manner. As of 2013; it was the second-highest selling medication in the United States. This review highlights various analytical techniques for the quantification of sitagliptin; either alone or in combination with other agents. These methods include spectrometry; high-performance liquid chromatography

Abstract Despite the widespread use of corrosion inhibitors (CIs) in the oil and gas industry much of their complex aggregation and adsorption behavior is still very poorly understood. CIs are surface active species meaning that when they are injected into aqueous solutions they naturally aggregate and migrate to gas-liquid, liquid-liquid, and solid-liquid interfaces. A better understanding of each CI component and how it adsorbs when exposed to various surfaces could lead to improved CI design, higher performance at lower dosages, as well as improved methods for residual detection. Abstract Multiphase pipelines manufactured from carbon steel are susceptible to several forms of corrosion, including top-of-line (TOL) corrosion. In wet gas pipelines, produced water can condense at the top of the pipeline when the temperature and pressure along the length of the pipeline decreases. If this happens, TOL corrosion will occur, which can be severe as the pH of the condensed water will be very low (< 5). However, it is possible to mitigate TOL corrosion with the application of corrosion inhibitors. Using corrosion inhibitors to control TOL corrosion in multiphase systems p
