Abstract:
Abstract Gender stereotyping remains a pervasive issue in society. Gender stereotypes are cognitive structures containing socially shared knowledge and expectations about women and men. Research has found that the dimensions evaluation (sweetheart vs. bitch) and traditionality (businessman vs. stay-at-home dad) have high explanatory power for identifying gender stereotypes. As a pilot study, the current paper investigates the traditionality and evaluation perceptions of expressions for women and men in English and Spanish, analysing them in the framework of Conceptual Metaphor and Metonymy The

Many European nations are associated with national personifications, but Scotland stands out by not having a tradition of representing the nation in this way. "phrases the adjective is generally given in its inflected form (e.g. ursprüngliches Sein instead of ursprüngliche Sein, das). As far as possible in German, gender markers are also attributed to Greek, Latin and Asian terms. Note that these do not always agree with the grammatical gender of the nouns in the languages of origin but refer to the gender attributed to the entries in German, which are generally rendered in italics (e.g. die lex naturalis) to indicate that German principles of capitalization are not complied with. In accordance with the publisher's guidelines and the fact that grammatical and nat-ural gender do not always correspond (cf. die Person referring to woman and man alike), the suffix -in is not added to the entries where the object of reference might also be female (as in Logiker). As the use of the suffix -in is not consistent, the en-tries would have tended to confuse the non-native. Abstract:

Abstract:
An edited volume (180K) of 12 analysis case studies (what we call stories of change - SOCs but these are village/region stories not individual stories). The case studies draw on multiple sources of data. These were originally written in Bahasa Indonesia, with abstracts in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. The volume also has an introductory analysis article that has its own analysis and illustrates core points from the case studies – separate and citable (see below).
