Abstract:
The textbook describes the main theoretical principles of graph theory, the main tasks to be solved using graph structures, and General methods of their solution and specific algorithms, with estimates of their complexity. I covered a lot of the examples given questions to test knowledge and tasks for independent decisions. Along with the control tasks to verify the theoretical training provided practical assignments to develop programs to study topics of graph theory. Meets the requirements of Federal state educational standards of higher education of the last generation. Designed for undergraduate and graduate programs, studying information technology, for in-depth training in analysis and design of systems of complex structure. Also the guide can be useful to specialists of the IT sphere in the study of algorithmic aspects of graph theory.

Full text
Abstract:
This chapter consider matters specifically excluded from the scope of Brussels 2012, Lugano 2007, and the Hague Convention. Each of these instruments contains a list of subjects — for example, status of natural persons — that are excluded from its scope. Under Brussels, and almost certainly under Lugano and Hague as well, these legal concepts have an autonomous meaning. They are not interpreted according to national law. If this were not so, the scope of the instrument would vary from State to State. Topics discussed include rights in property arising out of a matrimonial relationship, wills and succession, bankruptcy, social security, arbitration, maintenance, consumer contracts, employment contracts, carriage of persons and goods, maritime matters, competition (antitrust) matters, liability for nuclear damage, personal injury, damage to property, matters subject to exclusive jurisdiction, infringement of intellectual property rights, and declarations under the Hague Convention.

Full text
Abstract:
This chapter looks into another three emerging areas in rural health, namely, border towns, plantation, and nomadic pastoralists. The health status of general population may not be able to fully reflect the health problems of the border towns. As border towns offer work opportunities which may take people across the border, their socioeconomic prospective and health may be affected by the working environments and conditions of another country. In many cases, the population that has settled in the border area is composed of ethnic minorities and tends to be marginalized and neglected by the larger society. Specific issues for individual countries are included and discussed in textbox format.

van Aaken, Anne, and Iulia Motoc, eds. The European Convention on Human Rights and General International Law. Oxford University Press, 2018. http://dx.doi.org/10.1093/oso/9780198830009.001.0001.

Full text
Abstract:
The European Court of Human Rights is one of the main players in interpreting international human rights law where issues of general international law arise. While developing its own jurisprudence for the protection of human rights in the European context, it remains embedded in the developments of general international law. But the Court does not always follow general international law closely and develops its own doctrines. Its decisions are influential for national courts as well as other international courts and tribunals, thereby, at times, influencing general international law. There is thus a feedback loop of influence. This book explores the interaction, including the problems arising in the context of human rights, between the European Convention on Human Rights and general international law. It contributes to the ongoing debate on fragmentation and convergence of International Law from the perspective of international judges as well as academics. Some of the chapters suggest reconciling methods and convergence while others stress the danger of fragmentation. The focus is on specific topics which have posed special problems, namely sources, interpretation, jurisdiction, state responsibility, and immunity.

Full text
Abstract:
This introduction discusses current trends in diachronic linguistics with a focus on syntactic change and reviews the fifteen other chapters included in the volume. In the spirit of modern diachronic syntax, the selected articles show that very general patterns of change, emergent, multigenerational diachronic phenomena, interact with small, discrete, local, intergenerational changes in the lexical specification of grammatical features. General topics include acquisition biases, cross-categorial word order generalizations, typological particularities and universals, language contact, and transitional changes, while specific linguistic topics include tense and viewpoint aspect, directional/aspectual affixes, V2, V3, Stylistic Fronting, directional/aspectual prefixes, negation, accusative and dative marking, analytic passives, complementizer agreement, and control and raising verbs.

Full text
Abstract:
This chapter provides historical overview of communication skills knowledge in cancer care. Topics discussed include the role communication plays in classical accounts of medicine, medical education, the Lipkin model, American Academy on Communication in Healthcare, and Cancer Research Campaign Studies in the United Kingdom. Most of the history of communication skills knowledge and teaching derives from work and studies done in general medicine, or further afield, rather than in cancer care. This chapter includes such material because much of our communication knowledge and skill is generic, crosses specific applications and content areas like cancer care, and because the most useful conceptual frameworks and approaches began elsewhere and have only partially been rendered cancer specific.

This volume provides a forum for some of the best new philosophical work on law, by both senior and junior scholars from around the world. The chapters range widely over issues in general jurisprudence (the nature of law, adjudication, and legal reasoning), the philosophical foundations of specific areas of law (from criminal law to evidence to international law), the history of legal philosophy, and related philosophical topics that illuminate the problems of legal theory.

Full text
Abstract:
This chapter reviews the specified activities and numerous exclusions contained in the Regulated Activities Order (RAO). First, it examines the circumstances where exclusions subjected to a regulated activity do not apply. Secondly, it deals with the specified activities contained within the RAO, divided into sections. In particular, these activities examine those relating to banking and finance, insurance, securities, home finance, consumer lending, debt, funds, and miscellaneous activities. Finally, the chapter specifies other general exclusions that are available in a wide range of specified activities, as well as those concerned with more specific situations or persons.

Full text
Abstract:
The Oxford Handbook of Philosophy of Economics is a reference work on philosophical issues in the practice of economics. It is motivated by the view that there is more to economics than general equilibrium theory, and that the philosophy of economics should reflect the diversity of activities and topics that currently occupy economists. Contributions in the book are thus closely tied to on-going theoretical and empirical concerns in economics. Contributors include both philosophers of science and economists. Articles fall into three general categories: received views in philosophy of economics, on-going controversies in microeconomics, and issues in modeling, macroeconomics, and development. Specific topics include methodology, game theory, experimental economics, behavioral economics, neuroeconomics, computational economics, data mining, interpersonal comparisons of utility, measurement of welfare and well-being, growth theory and development, and microfoundations of macroeconomics.

Full text
Abstract:
The focus of this chapter is African languages and the various manifestations of tongue root harmony. While there is general agreement on the fact that a typical manifestation of vowel harmony involves the position of the tongue root, there is much controversy both on the phonetic detail of the tongue root distinction and on the nature of the phonological primes that are needed to account for tongue root harmony. Specific topics addressed include: the markedness paradox, patterns of merger, and opacity and transparency. There is also a discussion of vowel harmony in Bantu-C.
