AbstractThere is a renewed scholarly interest in peacekeeping with quantitative, systematic empirical studies figuring prominently. Arguably, this recent work has gone some way to address two puzzles that have consistently surrounded debates on peacekeeping. The first puzzle is that reporting on peacekeeping and public opinion tend to be critical. Regardless, peacekeeping has become an important element of efforts by the international community to resolve conflict. The second puzzle of peacekeeping is the contrast between quantitative, comparative studies and case studies in their assessment o

Abstract:
Abstract. Current space missions require predicting the spacecraft dynamics with considerable reliability. Among the various components of a spacecraft, subsystems like payload, structures, and power depend heavily on the dynamic behavior of the satellite during its operational life. Therefore, to ensure that the results obtained through numerical simulations correspond to the actual behavior, an accurate dynamical model must be developed. In this context, an implementation of Kane’s method is presented to derive the dynamical equations of a spacecraft composed of both rigid and flexible bodie

Abstract:
The benefits of implementing European Project Management (EPM) have been studied in various contexts, as achieving objectives through EPM holds significant potential for organizations, governments, and society. Although researchers have been paying more attention to this topic recently, there is a current need for more systematic work that depicts how management is applied to successfully European-funded projects in general. Moreover, being Romania's primary funding source, it is vital to analyze and assess the factors that lead EU projects to success. The originality of this paper consists of

With surge in post-COVID tourism, the travel destinations are seeing a high volume of travellers seeking to fulfil their pent-up wanderlust. Travellers generally do not consider themselves vulnerable to crimes when on holidays – specifically to first world countries in Europe. However, there has been a significant increase in petty crimes against tourists which have become common in tourist hotspots across Europe and other places. Petty crimes experienced by tourists can often lead to not only material and monetary loss but also result in tainting the whole travel experience. The present paper

This work presents a new systematic solution to identify the vehicle inertia parameters which are essential inputs for vehicle simulation and vehicle safety research. In conceptual design phase of this work, a virtual three Degree-of-Freedom (DoF) test bench/ parallel manipulator (PM) whose moving platform is used to clamp vehicle under test is developed. In order to realize the kinematic characteristics of the proposed PM, the kinematic analysis consists of inverse kinematic and singularity architecture is carried out. Abstract:
Systematic reviews summarise and synthesise the global evidence about an intervention. By incorporating causal chain analysis, a systematic review moves beyond the question of ‘does it work?’ to ‘why does it work, for whom, under what circumstances and at what cost?’. The CEDIL Methods Brief 4, ‘Using causal chain analysis in systematic reviews’, lays out what causal chain analysis is, the benefits of using it, and how to do so. The brief provides guidance on conducting a causal chain analysis by illustrating with an example of a systematic review on farmer field schools.
