AbstractFirst, we show that the IBE, founded in 1925, can be considered as a matrix of educational internationalism. It became the first intergovernmental institution in education in 1929, and under the aegis of Piaget, it developed a more and more resolutely universal and universalist ambition. This orientation of the IBE sets the point of view adopted for the analysis of its history. We then forge theoretical tools based on the ongoing debate on the universal in order to proceed to a critical sociogenesis of the IBE’s ambitions and achievements within its relational network and the educational context of the twentieth century and we formulate our research questions. We finally present the five parts which make up the book, each representing a particular point of view on the IBE’s history, written thanks to the rich archival heritage which is briefly described. A brief conclusion highlights some contradictions still present today which are then taken up in our general conclusion.

Abstract:
Justifying the relevance of the topic, the authors emphasise that education aimed at fulfilling the strategic objectives of economic development is determined, on the one hand, by the achievements of the basic sciences, and, on the other hand, by the development of production. The objective need to apply innovations in the management of educational institutions is determined by the Strategy for Sustainable Development of Ukraine until 2030, the transition of the EU countries (and in the future, Ukraine) to Industry 5.0, and the prospect of rebuilding the state in the face of a shortage of personnel. The author's concept is based on the following philosophical and methodological justifications of the regularity of innovative management of educational institutions: the need to change the theory and practice of managing an educational institution in a changing, increasingly integrated world, intensified global problems and crises; the principle of advanced development and the principle of innovation as principles of organisation and development of educational systems; the essence of mastering the technologies of future creation, advanced, innovative management, as well as the The study used a multidisciplinary approach; integrated various scientific areas; the results of theoretical research and practical activities. The authors distinguish between the concepts of innovation management in educational institutions (management of innovations in the educational process) and innovation management (management innovations). Innovation management is based on the theoretical provisions of general (system) management, management of organisations, is subject to the laws of innovation activity, at the same time it has its own specifics in the content, organisational and implementation aspects, due to sectoral characteristics (management of educational institutions). The concept of innovative management of educational institutions reveals the following: concept, subjects, objects, purpose, tasks, principles, process and tools of innovative management of educational institutions. The objects of innovative management of an educational institution are classified according to the following criteria: by type of resources (material, intangible, financial, technical, time-space, labour); by element of the management system (purpose, functions, methods, procedures, technologies, organisational structures); by management function (analysis, forecasting, design, planning, organisation, motivation, stimulation, control); by management tools (management decision, management technology, organisational structure). Along with local, modular and systemic changes, the authors distinguish permanent changes as a conscious management of transformations that become possible due to the search, development, implementation of innovative changes in management of an educational institution and monitoring of their effectiveness. On the basis of generalisation of the main stages of search and development of innovative changes; stages of the process of development and adoption of managerial decision on innovation; institutional cycle of management activity; project technology, an algorithm for permanent implementation of innovative changes in the management of an educational institution is developed. Innovative management as a type of activity is represented by a set of the following management tools: innovative management decisions, innovative management technologies, application of innovative structures and infrastructure, development of individual and group receptivity to the new; formation of an innovative environment of an educational institution.

Abstract:
The current problem of modern vocational education is the technology of formation of the professional culture of the future specialist, in particular of the economic direction. Taking into account the internationalization of higher education, which involves the process of systematic introduction of international experience into the educational, scientific and public activities of higher education institutions, the development of international cooperation in order to create a holistic system of international relations, it is advisable to pay attention to the provision of educational services to foreign applicants. The professional culture of a future domestic or foreign applicant begins to form in a higher education institution in the process of mastering the educational material of the educational components of the general and professional training cycle and the influence of the educational environment on the personality of a higher education applicant. In this context, it is important to define the terms "professional culture", "speech culture", "language etiquette", "professional language" and the practical implementation of these concepts in classes on "Professional foreign language" through the use of modern didactic methods and techniques.

AbstractIt is difficult to consider religious diversity within the general framework of intercultural approaches in education. On the one hand, the school cannot ignore the permeability of the school precincts to the pupils’ religious beliefs. On the other, religion, as one of the dimensions of culture, can tend to adopt a hegemonic attitude not very reassuring for cultural relativism. In fact, taking religion seriously within the school means not underestimating its private and personal nature, which is likely to conflict with the public character of the educational institution.

Full text
Abstract:
AbstractThis chapter contributes with a novel analysis of how non-affirmative theory of education and Bildung contribute to the development of a second generation of school didactics (Uljens, School didactics and learning. Psychology Press, Hove, 1997). Despite differences in terminology, non-affirmative general pedagogy and school didactics have similarities. First, inspired by the early reception Hegel-influenced education theorizing in Finland (J. V. Snellman, Z. J. Cleve), school didactics (SD) focuse the relational teaching-studying-learning process, which resembles the constitutive principles of summoning and Bildsamkeit. Second, both are Bildung-centred regarding the centrality and the educative treatment of teaching contents from the learner’s perspective. Third, despite one is centered on general pedagogy (‘Allgemeine Pädagogik’) and the other on didactics, both focus the school as an educative institution. Fourth, both focus how societal interests transform into and influence pedagogical interaction. Fifth, both accept a non-teleological view of societal development. Sixth, both positions accept critical citizenship (Mündigkeit) and democracy as central for public education. Yet, the chapter shows how the principles put forth in non-affirmative general pedagogy significantly deepens many themes in the early version of school didactics. The present version of school didactics makes a contribution by identifying three related pairs of subjectivity and intersubjectivity, and explains the transition between these by the principles of summoning to self-activity and Bildsamkeit. Non-affirmative SD also reminds that educational leadership is necessary for understanding school teaching.

AbstractOpen, Distance, and Digital Education (ODDE) has potential to help educational institutions address the various challenges which usually result in the disruptions of the learning process. This system of education is flexible, agile, and resilient enough to adjust to the different contexts and also enables the academic institution to respond to some expectations like making available lifelong learning opportunities to all types of learners. There is, however, a lingering perception that ODDE is of lower quality compared to the conventional mode of education despite results of research showing otherwise which can prevent the realization of the full potential of this system of instruction.Through an intensive review of literature, this chapter looked at how quality in ODDE was and is being articulated with respect to curricular programs and courses and how they are evaluated for quality with the goal of determining if there are gaps which need to be addressed to help dispel that perception of lower quality. Eleven Quality Assurance (QA) Frameworks developed by various organizations from different parts of the world during the last 20 years (2000–2019) were evaluated for a more focused review process. Results showed that there is a general agreement as to what constitutes quality in this system of education. For the methodologies for program and course evaluation, some improvements and innovations can be done as informed by the QA Frameworks and tapping on what information can the technology provide as in the case of learning analytics which served as basis for the recommendations made.
