Abstract:
As an important part of the public service and educational infrastructures for national culture and heritage culture, a virtual museum presents the user experience of a real museum, with visitors, educators, and tourists interacting with the prepared digital culture contents by a mouse, touch panel, and other augmented reality devices. The goal of virtual museum is to help students and visitors to move around the virtual museum space freely and generate experience and satisfaction from the fruition of cultural heritage anytime, anywhere, and from any device. The article illustrates the interest in transhumance routes, the ancient paths connecting high and lowland pastures in Southern Italy and other Mediterranean regions, as elements of particular importance for sustainable geotourism management. As a contribution to the needs of requalification of the drove roads, we propose a method of analysis for their preservation and their reuse for geotourism purposes, showing the steps and instruments necessary to organize, enhance and communicate transhumance routes as integrated cultural landscapes. The drainage basin is spatially and functionally clearly defined and relevant hydrologic, geomorphologic and ecologic landscape totality. Therefore, it mostly represents basic geo-spatial unit of generation, monitoring, and studying numerous physical-geographical and geo-ecologic occurrences and processes. One of the most important components of geo-space, on the level of basin, is manifested through the state and quality of surface waters. So, the acceptance of systematic approach in studying mineralization of the surface waters would contribute to the deeper understanding of the process in c

This paper presents an augmented reality-based method for geo-registering videos from low-cost multi-rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The goal of the proposed method is to conduct an accurate geo-registration and target localization on a UAV video stream. The geo-registration of video stream requires accurate attitude data. However, the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensors on most low-cost UAVs are not capable of being directly used for geo-registering the video. The magnetic compasses on UAVs are more vulnerable to the interferences in the working environment than the accelerometers.

Precise vegetation maps of mountainous areas are of great significance to grasp the situation of an ecological environment and forest resources. In this paper, while multi-source geospatial data can generally be quickly obtained at present, to realize effective vegetation mapping in mountainous areas when samples are difficult to collect due to their perilous terrain and inaccessible deep forest, we propose a novel and intelligent method of sample collection for machine-learning (ML)-based vegetation mapping. Abstract Submarine landslides in gas hydrate areas are a significant geo-hazard that can cause considerable damage to offshore infrastructures, dramatically change the marine environment and seriously threaten human lives and property. Gas and gas hydrate disassociation was considered to be a main factor inducing submarine landslide. However, the processes and mechanism of submarine landslides caused by gas and gas hydrate dissociation are not clearly understood. Therefore, we design a Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) accelerometer array to study and monitor the deep displacement of sub

The region is responding to gas shortages by boosting supplies through a combination of E&P developments and imports. As per IEA, the current 240 billion cubic meters (BCM) demand is expected to rise to 300 BCM by 2020 and 600 BCM by 2030. About 90% of incremental energy demand for powe
