En la tercera part s'exposen les conclusions de la recerca i les propostes d'acord amb el tema estudiat. La primera proposta versa sobre el paper que ha de jugar la persona Llicenciada en Ciències de l'Educació en la Gestió del Coneixement a l'Empresa. En segon lloc, l'autora fa una proposta concreta per endegar un Procés Global i Formal de Gestió del Coneixement a l'empresa estudiada, basant-se en l'Auditoria Cultural realitzada.
This thesis has three parts. The first of these provides a synthetic Theoretical Framework on Knowledge Management within the company and on the Organisational Culture Directed at Sharing what is inherent to this. The author of the thesis proposes a Model for Initiating a Process of Cultural Auditing within the Company, based on Cultural Change.
The second part covers the development of an empirical research project carried out through the ethnographical method, as well as the results obtained through this. Duran undertakes the Cultural Auditing of a High Technology company with respect to Knowledge Management.
The third part sets out the conclusions to this research and the related suggestions, in accordance with the question under discussion. The first proposal deals with the role that an Education graduate should play in the ambit of Knowledge Management within the Company. The author then makes a specific proposal for initiating a Global and Formal Process of Knowledge Management within the company studied, basing this upon the Cultural Auditing that has been undertaken.

Full textParking management is a key element in the sustainable mobility paradigm. In this research, starting from available information sources, whether quantitative or qualitative, mobility pattern in UAB and the way it is conditioned by parking policy, are diagnosed. Likewise, criteria and strategic lines are proposed to facilitate parking policy to establish appropriate conditions for a sustainable mobility pattern in the framework of an integral mobility policy. In UAB, a metropolitan knowledge node, mobility pattern is explained by captivity with respect to different means of transport, cost of the trip and social and economic personal characteristics of users. The high level of captivity in relation to public transport (53%), is one of the reasons of high demand (60%). However, this is not the only reason. In conditions of eligibility, perception of cost of the trip (time and economic cost), influenced by social and economic conditions of users as well as their place of residence, is the decision making aspect. 30% of those owning a car use public transport regularly, while a 20% of those who have a good option of public transportation drive to Campus. Public transportation is relatively more used from central areas, like Barcelona, where quotidian relationship of citizens and transport is intense, due to transport quantity and quality. Instead, trips from municipalities on the peripheral areas of the metropolitan area, though public transportation availability in connection to Campus, less presence of this transport in quotidian life of citizens, especially related to inter municipal trips, turns into unnecessary use of car. This unnecessary use from places with good transport is fostered, among other things, by the absence of a parking policy which regulates demand. Free parking and incapacity to control illegal parking, distort offer and demand relationship within transport election process and encourage solo driver car use. Despite modal split in UAB is favourable to public transportation, and environmental impacts are kept within reasonable limits, excessive presence of cars produce a series of impacts at social and functional level. On the one hand, people with no reasonable public transportation option, compete for a scarce resource in the same conditions, getting less access opportunities as a result. Likewise, occupation by cars of spaces directed to other users, limit their rights. On the other hand, parking, distributed in a non-homogeneous and efficient way, misses its function within the general mobility scheme. With the aim of minimising these aspects, this research proposes to stablish a parking policy which reduces the number of cars in Campus. The main elements for this policy are eliminating illegal parking and stablish a subsidized rate which favours those students and staff who have less options, those who have weaker economic power, and more sustainable use of car (high occupancy cars and propelled by clean renewable energies), considering spatial and temporal variability of demand. Such a policy, accompanying and subsidizing active and collective transports, is essential to achieve a sustainable, efficient and equitable mobility pattern.

The thesis defends the transmutation of the philosophy in the society of the information and of the knowledge, as much regarding the new spaces of application as in those of the subjects to treat and the methods to employ in the research and philosophical activity.
The thesis is divided into three parts: the first analyzes the different philosophical prospects of the technique and the technology along the history; the second reflects on the characteristics of the society of the information, the communication and of the knowledge; and, as last, the third part, as a consequence of the former two, is of the meaning and of the function of the philosophy in relation to the technology and society today.

Full textEn el marco de la nueva Sociedad de la Información y el Conocimiento esta Tesis pretende aportar verificación empírica a la Teoría de Gestión del Conocimiento y reflexión teórica para mejorar su práctica. Partiremos como Hipótesis Principal de la creencia que el desarrollo del Conocimiento Propio ("firm specific knowledge" en la literatura académica) contribuye a aportar ventajas competitivas sostenibles en el tiempo a las organizaciones. Para este fin usaremos los resultados de 3 Estudios sobre Gestión del Conocimiento y Competitividad realizados a lo largo de una década (2001, 2005, 2009). Mientras se observan claras evidencias de formación de un Conocimiento Propio en los mecanismos de Aprendizaje organizacional, poco de ello se observa en las Prácticas de Gestión del Conocimiento que, de hecho, deberían servir para potenciarlo. Este hecho explicaría la importante discrepancia entre dos aspectos clave de lo que las empresas consideran, al ser interpeladas a través del cuestionario, acerca del Conocimiento (valores 4+5 escala de Likert): - La importancia del Conocimiento como Activo Estratégico - 93,6%. - La adecuada Gestión del Conocimiento en su empresa - 16,5%. El Conocimiento es muy importante pero no se gestiona bien.
In the context of the modern Information and Knowledge Society, this Dissertation aims to provide an empirical basis for the Theory of Knowledge Management as well as theoretical observations to improve it in practice. Our starting Working Hypothesis was the belief that the development of Firm-Specific Knowledge (as it is known in the academic literature) provides firms with sustainable competitive advantages. We used the findings of three studies on Knowledge and Competitiveness Management carried out over the course of a decade (2001, 2005, 2009). While there is clear evidence of Firm-Specific Knowledge building through organizational Learning mechanisms, very little of it is observable in Knowledge Management Practices ¿ which should, in reality, be maximizing its potential. This would explain the significant discrepancy between two key aspects in companies regard Knowledge, as tested by the questionnaire: - The importance of Knowledge as a Strategic Asset - 93.6%. - The adequate Management of Knowledge by the firm - 16.5%. Knowledge is very important but is not properly managed.

Full textThe ultimate aim of the thesis is to identify, analyze and assess the extent of educational influence on social interaction in class assemblies, as a discursive genre of collective public speaking and as an educational practice contributing to the construction of the moral personality in the school environment. The specific objectives are: (i) To identify, describe and analyze the joint activity sequence (JAS) that participants construct in the assemblies, with a view to defining the forms of organization of the joint activity; to detect patterns of actions, and to identify the educational functions of these; (ii) To analyze the discourse of the participants in order to identify the presence therein of normative formulations in the management of social participation and of the task, and in the management of content, to determine thematic categories of these normative formulations, and to establish relationships with the key moral issues; (iii) To identify mechanisms of progressive construction of systems of shared meanings in how the normative formulations are presented and promoted by way of the conversational structures in which they appear; and (iv) To identify the overall educational characteristics of the JAS as an approach to understanding the moral culture of the assemblies analyzed. The theoretical and methodological positions embrace the concept of the construction of the moral personality, the constructivist conception of teaching and learning, and studies of language for the development of communicative competence in social activity. On the basis of these integrated positions the study focuses on the analysis of educational influence in a school year of class assemblies. This is a case-study methodology, in which the analysis of the interaction between the participants is conducted on two levels. The first sets out to identify the forms of organization of the joint activity or the segments of interactivity. The second examines the semiotic mechanisms of the participants' discourse by way of the normative formulations of the utterances and conversational structures in which they appear. The results are, first, the identification of eleven segments of interactivity, articulated in a complex manner, which perform the functions of organization, deliberation and regulation; the identification of the large number of rules governing not only the social participation but also the task and the content. After analyzing the thematic content of the norm, we arrived at the set of moral categories of the JAS, which, in relation to universal moral questions, provided us with a map of the moral orientation of the JAS. Finally, the analysis of conversational structures has shown that the most frequently employed are those that present the norms with explanations and arguments to facilitate their comprehension, without imposing them. We conclude this summary with the assertion that, in the class assemblies analyzed, the forms of organization, the management of social participation and the task and the content are all the subject of learning, despite there having been no prior planning to this end, and that the norms analyzed are intended to help students regulate their behavior and enhance their awareness.

Full textIn the current organizational environment, knowledge has become a key strategic asset. Consequently, organizational learning has become a requirement for any organization that wants to build the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve sustainable competitive advantages. The higher education institutions are not out of this reality. These organizations are also exposed to increasing competition levels and they have to rapidly adapt, to the society constant changes to respond to the student’s needs. This is the reason why, organizational learning and knowledge creation have also become key elements for this sector. The purpose of this study is to deepen the analysis of the organizational learning process in the university sector. Therefore, we designed a proposal for a conceptual framework to model the process of organizational learning and knowledge creation of an organization. We highlighted the constructs involved in such process and how they interact and influence each other. The used methodology is quantitative. We collected data using a structured questionnaire that we applied to two samples, consisting of faculty and administrative staff of three different universities. Moreover, we performed the data analysis using multivariate statistical techniques such as factor analysis and structural equation model based on the variance using PLS (PLS-SEM). The results confirm that higher education institutions studied are learning organizations. Moreover, we obtained empirical evidence that learning takes place at the individual, group and organizational level and, in addition, that there is significant influence between these three ontological levels of learning. Likewise, it is important to remark the significative influence of initial learning stocks and of some factors such as leadership and organizational structure, organizational culture and teamwork and openness to the environment and continuous improvement on organizational learning. Despite the limitations of this study, the obtained results can help to improve the management of university organizations, thanks to the implementation of policies that promote organizational learning.
