Full textThe various international standards require automakers to optimize conventional power train but mainly to develop other alternatives to drive, one of the most promising is the electric vehicle. However, these new drives should guarantee the same performance and the same level of dependability (reliability and security in this case).Electric power train is built around a large number of components (electrical machine, the sensor, the converter, power electronics, etc.) which may be affected by defects. The detection and localization of these defects are essential but not sufficient to ensure the dependability of the system. Indeed, to ensure operation in degraded mode, you must implement architecture of fault tolerant control (FTC). The main objective of this thesis is to propose new fault tolerant control architectures of an electric vehicle induction machine power train in the presence of several types of mechanical sensor failure. This thesis is organized into four chapters.Chapter 1 is a comprehensive state of the art with a critical analysis of architectures and control systems tolerant to faults of electric powertrains and a state of the art of the various defects that may occur in the chain of electric traction.Chapter 2 proposes two architectures of fault tolerant control: Hybrid FTC and GIMC (Generalised Internal Model Control); Hybrid FTC approach is a combination of two controllers, the first is a PI controller for the sound mode and the second a robust controller for the failed H infinity mode. The architecture allows GIMC restructuring the control law in an adaptive manner. It is designed to ensure robustness of the system in the presence of a fault with an inner loop acting loop correction and diagnosis.Chapter 3 is devoted exclusively to the algorithm voting fault tolerant control based on comparative study of four algorithms with three different topologies: a first structure is proposed on the system output, a second structure is applied system control, and the third structure is a two preceding hybridization.Chapter 4 is devoted to the experimental validation of the architecture described above. Full textThis thesis is divided in to two different parts. The first part includes examination of the measurementsystem of an industrial robot using a resolver sensor. The main focus is on methods for suppressing noise in the angularvelocity signal without increasing timedelay. Five different methods are investigated. Three of these are based on oversampling: burstsamplingmethod, meanvaluemethod and correlationmethod. The meanvaluemethod and the correlationmethod have given good results. The two other methods are: extended kalmanfiltering and computation of the angular velocity without using numeric method to compute the angle. Extended kalmanfilter gives the overall best result.
In part two the control structure design of an industrial robot has been studied and how different sampling times and motorinertias affect the disturbance rejection and stability of the control loop. Different control structure designs have also been studied with the aim to suppress disturbances. Mainly H-infinity and GIMC designs have been compared with an ordinary PID controller. Here it can be shown that both the H-infinity and the GIMC controller yields good disturbance rejection. But both the methods lack in the robustness of model uncertainty.

Full textCardiovascular disease is a complex, multifactorial, polygenic disorder with an important environment component. This group of diseases, especially ischemic heart disease, causes significant morbidity and mortality at the population level. Therefore, prevention is a key element of relevant public health policies. Over the past decade there has been a significant advance in knowledge of the genetic component of ischemic heart disease; more than 50 loci associated with risk for this disease have been discovered. Many of these loci are not associated with traditional cardiovascular risk factors, and the etiopathogenic mechanism that explains this association is unknown. Moreover, genetic variability may explain part of the interindividual variability in response to different drugs and may be associated with prognosis.

Full textMIFO (Metodik för Inventering av Förorenade Områden) är en nationell inventeringsmetod för förorenad mark framställd av Naturvårdsverket. Syftet med metoden är att få en gemensam nationell metod att enkelt och enhetligt bedöma miljökvalitén i olika områden i Sverige med avseende på föroreningars omfattning, samt skade- och spridningsriskerna dessa medför. En MIFO-analys skall ligga som grund för fortsatta undersökningar och eventuella åtgärder inom ett förorenat område. MIFO leder till ett prioriteringssystem där de mer kontaminerade områdena åtgärdas med högre prioritet än områden med lägre föroreningshalt eller spridningsrisker. Syftet med denna rapport är att genomföra en MIFO – fas 2 analys över Gimo träimpregnering, Östhammar kommun. Gimo träimpregnering kontaminerades under 30-50-talet med impregneringsmedlet CCA, ett impregneringsmedel innehållande koppar, krom och arsenik. Området har sedan slutet av 80-talet undersökts i flera studier samt sanerats. Koppar krom och arsenik beskrivs kort i rapporten med avseende på dess skadeverkan för människa och miljö, samt dess generella beteende i mark och vatten. Arsenik är ett skadligt ämne och är mycket farligt för människor miljön. Koppar och krom räknas inte lika miljöskadliga. Halterna av de tre ämnena ligger inom måttliga nivåer i grundvattnet kring Gimo, men riktvärden för arsenik överskrids till viss mån i marken. Spridningsrisken är dock låg i området och detta medför att MIFO-analysen av Gimo träimpregnering, gav resultatet ”Riskklass 3, måttlig risk”.

Full textPortugal possui uma enorme e vulnerável faixa costeira. Estas zonas têm vindo a ser afectadas por actividade humanas exercendo uma forte pressão sobre o meio marinho. As zonas costeiras estão também associadas a actividades socioeconómicas significativas, tornando-se desta forma zonas bastante sensíveis. Surge assim, como pressão adicional a estas zonas, as alterações climáticas. Estas estão ligadas à subida do nível do mar, a alterações da frequência e/ou da intensidade das tempestades e furacões associados às consequentes cheias. Os impactes das alterações climáticas nas zonas costeiras serão assim provavelmente agravados pelo facto de nestas se localizarem as principais áreas metropolitanas do país. Assim o potencial para afectar um número elevado de pessoas é, nesta faixa, particularmente alto, tornando-se também um risco acrescido para os ecossistemas, e para a saúde humana. Com a realização deste trabalho, pretende-se, verificar as medidas de adaptação existentes na estratégia de gestão integrada portuguesa, no âmbito das alterações climáticas, efectuando uma comparação entre as medidas existentes em algumas das estratégias existentes no espaço Europeu e propondo algumas medidas a aplicar na estratégia existente em Portugal. ABSTRACT: Portugal posses a huge and vulnerable coastline that has been affected by human activities, putting its sea life to a high stress. The coastal areas are also associated with significant socio-economic activities, thus making them very sensitive areas. Therefore and as an additional problem comes the climate changes.These are combined with the rising sea levels, changes in frequency and/or intensity of storms and hurricanes associated with the resulting flood. Thus, the impacts of climate change on coastal areas will be, probably, aggravated by the fact that these areas are located in the major metropolitan areas of the country. As a result, the probability to affect a large number of people is particularly high, making it also increase the risk for ecosystems as for human health. The purpose of this thesis is to verify the adaptation measures, relative to the climate changes, within IZCM’s strategy. This is achieved by making a comparison between the existing measures in Portugal and in other European zones, and also, proposing some measures to implement to the current national strategy.
