Abstract:
In this study, the extent of unequal distribution of public investments among provinces in Turkey between the years of 1999 and 2017 is measured with Gini Coefficient. Empirical findings show that Gini Coefficient calculated for all public investments other than manufacturing industry showed a decrease in the said period. This result means that public investments were distributed relatively more equally among the provinces in 2017. According to decomposition results of Gini Coefficient conducted to reveal the amount of inequality in total public investments is originated from other public inve

Elle examine également les modèles théoriques et empiriques portant sur les interactions entre distribution du revenu et croissance. The distributions of revised comprehensive total household expenditures per adult equivalent indicate a decline in different measures of consumption inequality over time. These data suggest that both ‘relative inequality’ and ‘absolute inequality’ have fallen over this five year period. This paper identifies the socioeconomic drivers of earnings inequality in Peru in the period 2004–18. Using the ENAHO household surveys and data on routine task content of occupations, we apply inequality decomposition methods to the real earnings distribution, its quantiles, and the Gini index. We find that in this period inequality has reduced, with great improvement attributed to reductions in the gender wage gap and macroeconomic factors. However, we did not find strong evidence for factors related to changes in workers’ attributes or shifts in job characteristics, except for a slight enha
