Purpose This study aims to examine managerial behaviour and corporate social responsibilities of private education providers at the primary education level with a view to establishing the fact that it is indeed the obligatory adoption of ethical policies and socially responsible behaviour that accounts for the positive impact some private education operators have made in the educational sector. The study also examines the areas where the private education providers have not been accountable in their business models, decision-making and operations and thus suggests ways that the private educati

SummaryObjectives: This study evaluates the accuracy and portability of a natural language processing (NLP) tool for extracting clinical findings of influenza from clinical notes across two large healthcare systems. Effectiveness is evaluated on how well NLP supports downstream influenza case-detection for disease surveillance. Methods: We independently developed two NLP parsers, one at Intermountain Healthcare (IH) in Utah and the other at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) using local clinical notes from emergency department (ED) encounters of influenza. We measured NLP parser per

ABSTRACT Tropical floriculture has increased significantly in the last decade due to a growing worldwide market trend of consuming exotic, colorful, beautiful and durable flowers. Among the tropical floriculture products, ornamental gingers, species belonging to the families Zingiberaceae and Costaceae, have high potential for ornamental use, both for landscaping, for cut and potted flower and foliage. However, little information can be found in literature when it comes to crop fertilization, mainly concerning nitrogen fertilization, quite important to tropical soils which are poor in organic

Abstract:
Gyroscopes IN General Relativity (GINGER) is a proposal of an Earth-base experiment to measure the Lense–Thirring effect. GINGER uses an array of ring lasers, which are the most sensitive inertial sensors to measure the rotation rate of the Earth. GINGER is based on a three-dimensional array of large size ring lasers, able to measure the de Sitter and Lense–Thirring effects. The instrument will be located in the INFN Gran Sasso underground laboratory, in Italy. We describe preliminary developments and measurements. Earlier prototypes based in Italy, GP2, GINGERino, and G-LAS are also described
