Full textThe thesis analyses the way in which school organizations tackle the problem of young people in trouble, verifying if and where relational elements can be found in organizational orientations, following the relational approach to welfare. It is a qualitative and exploring research, conducted within the Province of Trento's educational system, through semistructured interviews with school executives, teachers, other professionals, students and families as well. Beginning with the theoretical framework and the institutional indications, the analysis focuses on individual helping process from the relational perspective; then moving to the organizational level in order to observe in three elements - goals, people and means - how the utilization of a relational approach can activate, in the school, practices of "care" capable of improving students well being. The analysis shows that, mainly in occupational training, the idea of "care" seems to be quite shared but it does not translate into true relational processes. A critical point refers to the activation of reflective networks with families and students. A potential innovation is expressed in certain institutes where the organizational framework reflects, at least partially, the relational approach: it does seam to support the school educational role, involving the school itself in a widespread society of "care".

Full textThe aim of the present research is to study the youth condition in Italy in the first decade of 2000 and to suggest some regulatory policy on this situation. The decision to investigate on urban poverty and deprivation in the first chapter, and to analyze intergenerational equity and mobility in the second and in the third chapters, is strictly related to the willingness of the writer to identify new policy instruments that can intervene in favor of young's opportunities and equity. The research is divided into two parts. In the first chapter we have done an analysis of the urban poverty in the city of Milan. To do this we have analyzed the movement of citizens in the different area of Milan, considering the availability of public facilities dedicated to young. After a creation of the indicators to assess the endowment benchmarks for school, cultural structure, Young Meeting Centers, sports centers, health centers specialized for young people, we have detected a connection between the services furnished and the presence of a specific population-based cohort. In the second part we have analysed the trend of intergenerational mobility and intergenerational equity. In the second chapter, we develop a literature review of the primary researches on intergenerational transmission of poverty and intergenerational mobility with the aim to analyze the most appropriate and recognized methodology to measure this data in Italy. In the third paper, we have measured the trend of intergenerational mobility in Italy, considering data from Bank of Italy SHIW.

Full textStrong inequalities in the labour market characterize the current European scenario. In particular, many scholars maintain that young people are the losers of the globalization process. In this context, the research aims at deepening the relationship between young people and labour market policies addressed to youth entrepreneurship. This phenomenon has been observed along some specific vectors related to the entrepreneurial attitude expressed in terms of perceived opportunities, business skills, fear of failure and intent to undertake, and the relevance of social ties in the dynamics of self-employment and business creation. In order to collect the relevant information the research has addressed a survey to a sample of young aspiring European entrepreneurs, involved in active labour policies, i.e. education and training courses, vocational guidance, coaching measures and services supporting entrepreneurship. Considering variables regarding human capital, social capital and family status, and their influence in the different entrepreneurial paths of youth entrepreneurship, the research tried to design some possible social trends. The research has highlighted that young people coming from family contexts with high levels of human and social capital, tend to express an entrepreneurial approach characterized by self-confidence, openness in terms of innovation, thus using the full potential of weak ties. By contrast a low family status appears as correlated to a low self-confidence, lack of innovation, limited social networks, and less prospects in terms of entrepreneurial success.

Full textThis work aims to study the first literary production of Monaldo Leopardi (1176-1847), Giacomo Leopardi’s father, according to a cultural and historical point of view. Initially, we rebuilt the relationship between Monaldo Leopardi and his family with the Society of Jesus (XVI-XVIII Century), pointing out the model of «Christian hero» he embodied during his jesuitical homeschooling. Then, we analysed Monaldo Leopardi’s literary production (1800-1806) considering three different aspects: first of all, the connection with the Italian Accademie that we investigated thanks to archives resources, with a special focus on the Accademia dei Disuguali Placidi Ravvivati (1801-1803) he founded; afterwards, we studied his poetic and theatrical works referring to the volume "Opere del conte Monaldo Leopardi Gonfallonieri da Recanati" (1803). Finally, we decided to examine the development of this literary production with main Christian traits, by comparing father’s and son’s literature and by focussing on the journal “La Voce della Ragione” (1832-1835) and the letters between Monaldo and the jesuitical general Jan Philip Roothaan.

Full textCardinal Ferrari’s episcopate (1894-1921) was an age of unknown liveliness for Milan parish youth clubs. It was marked by an educational and organisational transformation whose purpose was to meet the growing upbringing needs coming from the process of industrialization and modernisation which was affecting Milan society. The Archiepiscopal Chart drawn in 1904 came into being as a successful synthesis of the traditional Archbishop Borromeo’s approach to youth pastoral centred upon catechesis and the pressing need to update, while interacting with the national youth education scholarship promoted by the Salesians of Don Bosco and that of the Oratory by Filippo Neri. Milan parish youth clubs drew up a wide-ranging project of popular education which included religious, moral, patriotic and even physical-hygienic upbringing targets for the young, to be carried out by innovative resources such as physical education, cinema, acting-out, as well as up-to-date charitable opportunities which were backed up by the well-established everlasting activities of catechism and game time. Despite being embedded into a planning process shaped by traditionally imprinted educational models but also oriented to innovation, the Milan parish-youth-club movement epitomised a type of youth pastoral which would mark definitely the history of the youth educational-oriented approach of the Church.

Full textThe history of the Waldesian Church after World War two is the object of a study on religious minorities in Italy. The Evangelical minorities and their vicissitudes after World War two belong to the wider history of the creation of the Republican State, which historians have been increasingly interested in especially from the nineties onwards. The process of reintegration of the Waldesian Church after the war was complex and troublesome. The final collapse of the Liberal State and the experience of fascism tore down the political and cultural framework where Evangelical Churches had developed. It was soon clear that the rising of the Republican State, characterised by a powerful polarisation between Catholics and communists, would not allow to return to the status quo before fascism. The efforts of the Waldesian Church to elaborate strategies aiming at a juridical, cultural and religious recognition, need to be placed in such a context.

Full textThis work originates from the intersection of two fields of studies: that ones about the work identity construction, and the sport psychology studies about coaches. The first part of the work deepens the work identity process of construction in nowadays work organizations, characterized by fluidity and complexity. The proposal of a theoretic model of work identity is the way through which comes close to a specific work context in sport, the youth sectors. The coach’ role is recognized as central and critical at the same time in promoting athletes’ healthy development through sport, as well as in connecting all the actors involved in youth sport practice (athletes, parents, managers, sponsors, etc.). For this reason the empirical part of the work is an in depth examination about this professionals, youth coaches. The first study aims to explore and outline the features of youth soccer coaches’ work identity and to focus the main risks and resources of this. It involved 20 youth soccer coaches in semi-structured interviews and a focus-group The second study is a methodological proposal to better understand the work identity process. It presents a new research instrument the Professional Life Space Drawing (DSVP – Disegno dello Spazio di Vita Professionale in Italian), which allows collecting relevant information about the inner representation of professional space using a graphic-symbolic level. Finally the third study, starting from the crisis situation of these professionals, analyses a training-research project (which involved 11 coaches) to supporting youth coaches work identity.

Full textThe study deals with the topic of manifestations of “prejudiced thought” in the digital environment, which are often linked with “banalised” racist and socially shared performances. In order to identify specific educational responses and good practices of intervention, the various forms taken by prejudice on the Web in the light of affective-emotive, and not only rational, aspects have to be analysed. The research environment is Web 2.0, understood as “augmented reality”, i.e. a space that is not opposed to reality but marked by its own specificities. A corpus of “online racism” has been identified to be submitted to a qualitative-textual analysis through T-Lab software and, in parallel, a qualitative-motivational type of analysis. The results obtained were then interpreted in the light of a dual bibliography: on the one hand that of intercultural pedagogy and classic studies on racism, on the other that on the characteristics of the digital environment, the pragmatics of online communication and of Media Education. Some conversations were also carried out during the research – with different outcomes – via Ask.fm with adolescents contacted as, in various ways, they had taken part in racist performances; as well as a case study of virtual ethnography, this is proposed as an experiment on education on reflectivity. It will be noticed how an implicit recovery of the biological question, with non-scientific bases, emptied of meaning, but paradoxically accepted and internalised, derives from the banalisation of racist theories and the lack of a sense of responsibility of “being on the Web”. On the other hand, several examples of activating “digital citizens” are encountered; from this “antiracist capital” as well, the role of education for citizenship – intercultural, digital and moral – in forming subjects and moral agents in the mediapolis, asserting the value of responsibility towards others, will also be emphasised.

Full textThis work was born from the interest to deepen the training issue and particularly its evaluation and its effectiveness. The first part consists of the literature analysis: the first chapter is focused on the evaluation considering both the evaluation in the social sciences and the training evaluation (e.g. evolution, crucial issues); the second is aimed to deepen the training effectiveness (strictly connected, but different from the training evaluation) and the third chapter is dedicated to different aspects of the course (e.g. approach, characteristics, training and evaluation methods) that is object of the case-study: a complex educational program involving the change in professional identity aspects, aimed to youth sector’s soccer coaches. The second part consists of three qualitative studies. The first is aimed to explore, from different points of view, the training outcomes (the focus is particularly on the representations’ change) and which aspects of the educational proposal have been a support to reach these outcomes. The second study presents the qualitative research aimed to investigate, from different perspectives, if and how the training-group (proposed as privileged tool) can contribute to the training effectiveness. The last study is aimed to explore the training effectiveness through the follow-up evaluation phase investigating specifically three objects: the change trajectories of subjects who have attended the formative path and the contribute both of the evaluation method and system and of the semi-projective tool DSSVP. The last chapter is dedicated to the conclusive remarks (both about the three studied considered together and about the contribute of the research to the training effectiveness construct) and to further development.

Full textCentred on the political and cultural context of the “long Sixties”, this work examines the reasons and the dynamics of social movements between USA and Europe, focusing on the period from 1960 to the mid-1970s. It was a period of great transformations where the affluent societies witnessed an explosive growth both in social field and in technological domain. This thesis aims above all to understand two main issues: the role counterculture played in the war protest and civil rights movement and the international dimension of this phenomenon. Thus, this research is divided into two parts: the first section concerns with the underground movement beginning with its American roots while the second part is dedicated to the student movement thought an international perspective. Concerning the social actors involved in the mobilisation, this work is focused on three main subjects: the counterculture groups, the several student movements and the militants of Italian 1977 revolt. It means to analyse three different moments in the “protestation cycle” of long Sixties that remains a tumultuous period of paradigm shifts. In spite of this instability, it is possible to indicate some keywords that characterise the spirit of the age: anti-authoritarianism, egalitarianism, repression, rights, and above all, revolution remain the more significant theoretical questions on which this work revolves

Resumo: O propósito deste trabalho é analisar as adaptações para a literatura juvenil Édipo rei e Antígona, de Cecília Casas, comparando-as às tragédias sofocleanas. Para tanto, são utilizados como textos-fonte duas traduções da trilogia de Sófocles: uma para a língua portuguesa, de Mário da Gama Kury, e outra para a língua italiana, de Filippo Maria Pontani. Já que as adaptações podem ser compreendidas como uma forma de avivar obras "clássicas" (as tragédias de Sófocles), verifica-se, em primeiro lugar, a formação do conceito do termo "clássico" paralelamente ao de "cânone". A seguir, são apresentados os percursos da adaptação na literatura infanto-juvenil no Brasil, bem como aproximações e distanciamentos entre o traduzir e o adaptar. Também são evidenciados questionamentos acerca de a adaptação juvenil ser matéria de recriação e retomar as obras clássicas. Em seguida, são analisadas as adaptações de Cecília Casas, abordando também a apreciação das ilustrações, léxico e roteiros de leitura, parte integrante das narrativas, e suas relações com o público a que se destinam, os leitores juvenis brasileiros.

Per questo, sono usate come testi-fonte due traduzioni della trilogia di Sofocle: una per il portoghese, di Mário da Gama Kury, ed un'altra per l'italiano, di Filippo Maria Pontani. Siccome gli adattamenti possono esser resi come una forma di avvivare le opere "classiche" (le tragedie di Sofocle), è verificata, inizialmente, la formazione del concetto del termine "classico" parallelamente a quello di canone. Di seguito, sono presentate i percorsi dell'adattamento nella letteratura infanto giovanile nel Brasile, e gli avvicinamenti e allontanamenti tra l'adattare e il tradurre. Sono evidenziati anche questioni sul fatto dell'adattamento giovanile essere elemento di ricreazione e riprendere le opere classiche. Full textThe Thesis describes some experiments aimed at standardized the production cycle of common sole (Solea solea) in captivity. A wild broodstock was established and reproduction was set up in order to be comparable with a commercial hatchery. Genetics analyses of parentage assessment showed, as few specimens have been predominant in breeding behavior and in the offspring contribution. Loss of genetic variability was observed from parents to offspring. The qualitative and quantitative composition of eggs fatty acid was correlated with larval survival during an entire spawning season. This composition did not show important variation during time and seems to have been affected from the food supplied to broodstock before the spawning seasons. Analysis of interaction between breeding time and eggs quality confirmed that it was possible to obtain good eggs quality in term of larval survival overall the reproductive period. Larvae were weaned at 13 days post hatching (dph) using commercial microdiets while reducing live-feed utilization. A very early weaning affects growth performance but not survival rate and metamorphosis development compared to a standard treatment. A shorter live feed utilization improved tank hygiene and reduced production costs. Molecular ontogeny of digestive enzymes precursors was determinate by quantitative PCR. The results of trypsinogen, chymotripsinogen and amylase mRNA expression showed as these enzymes play a key role in the digestive processes of the first larval stages. Juveniles have obtained a significant higher specific growth rate and better feed conversion rate when fed experimental diet containing high protein content. Increased incidence of lipid droplets in hepatocytes was observed when dietary protein levels increased.

Full textL’obiettivo del presente lavoro è presentare l’evoluzione della condizione giovanile nel postmoderno tramite l’analisi delle scritture di autori esordienti. Si è scelto di concentrarsi sui giovani poiché si tratta di un campione socioculturale significativo, il quale al meglio riflette i fenomeni in corso in un’epoca di radicali cambiamenti, come lo è la nostra. Seguendo questa evoluzione mediante le scritture giovanili, si ottiene una visione multiprospettica, dove si aprono i confini del letterario. La tesi è articolata in quattro capitoli. Lo scopo del primo capitolo è quello di fornire le fondamenta teoriche per la ricerca sulla condizione giovanile, si propone perciò qui una riflessione rivolta ad illustrare le principali teorie legate al postmoderno ed ai diversi significati relativi a questo termine. Per avere dei primi spunti sul problema, a confronto si mette il pensiero dei massimi studiosi del tema, tra cui Zygmunt Bauman ed Anthony Giddens, mostrando come la pluralità degli approcci in riguardo rifletta la complessità dell’epoca. Particolare attenzione viene data all’identità, la cui corretta formazione viene sempre più spesso ostacolata, arricchendo il lavoro con l’analisi di due importanti fenomeni – del narcisismo e del nichilismo. Per rappresentare al.meglio la multiformità del postmoderno, si passa alla presentazione dei diversi ambiti in cui questo si manifesta, tra cui le relazioni sociali, lo spazio, il consumo ed il mercato del lavoro. I successivi capitoli hanno un carattere empirico, in cui si passa allo studio diretto delle scritture giovanili. Nell’introduzione ad ognuno di essi si mostra il panorama storico e politico relativo agli anni in questione, dal boom al declino economico, ed altri importanti passaggi che hanno contribuito alla trasformazione della società. Nel secondo capitolo si passa all’analisi delle aree marginali, riferendosi a diversi aspetti del comportamento giovanile. Dapprima ci si sofferma sulle problematiche legate ad uso, abuso e dipendenza dell’alcol, evidenziando gli stili del bere, i luoghi ed i motivi del consumo e, successivamente, si illustra l’evoluzione dell’uso di sostanze stupefacenti. In seguito si passa alla riflessione riguardante le pratiche sessuali giovanili, per illustrare i principali cambiamenti in una delle aree più intime dell’individuo. Oltre a ciò il capitolo descrive diverse tipologie del viaggio, un tema ricco di ambiguità, che viene perciò esaminato da diverse prospettive: come viaggio alla ricerca dell’identità, come fuga e come viaggio estremo. Il terzo capitolo espone i molteplici aspetti legati al consumo, focalizzandosi sulla relazione tra spazio ed individuo, sul modo in cui questo viene percepito, sui luoghi di consumo e sulla loro crescita a dismisura nel panorama geografico italiano. Particolare attenzione viene data ai luoghi di vacanza, i quali si mostrano come una dimensione spazio-temporale del tutto difforme dalla realtà quotidiana, ed al loro effetto sulla comportamento dei giovani. In secondo luogo viene considerato il posto che occupa il corpo nella percezione generale della società postmoderna, contrassegnato dalle sue funzioni e disfunzioni. Da strumento per soddisfare i più basilari bisogni fisiologici a oggetto di consumo, il lavoro mostra come cambiavano gli ideali corporei, per comprendere al meglio le difficoltà che devono affrontare i giovani nella formazione della loro identità. In seguito si affronta una questione strettamente legata al consumo, ovvero i mass media, presentando come l’attuale forma delle relazioni tra gli individui venga modellata dai mezzi di comunicazione di massa. Il capitolo trova una naturale conclusione nell’esplorazione di wuestioni come il sistema delle merci, la forza del marchio e il consumo culturale. Il quarto capitolo, infine, affronta il problema dell’instabilità e delle forme che questa assume. Ci si focalizza sulla descrizione del ruolo famiglia, mettendo in evidenza i cambiamenti a cui quest’entità così antica viene sottomessa in parallelo ai mutamenti in ambito economico e sociologico. Dalla famiglia del tutto mancante, tramite la sua assente presenza, fino all’impossibilità della sua realizzazione, vengono approfondite le caratteristiche della famiglia postmoderna e le conseguenze che questa ha sui giovani e sul futuro dell’intera società. L’analisi segue illustrando il passaggio dei giovani dalla famiglia al gruppo dei pari, come posto favoreggiato di condivisione di esperienze comuni. Oltre all’approfondimento delle relazioni che si stabiliscono tra la comitiva, viene introdotta la questione dell’uscita dal gruppo e dell’ambiente scolastico come luogo di socializzazione, fattori che, collettivamente, preparano il giovane individuo alla vita autonoma nella società. Questo percorso si chiude con uno studio sul rapporto tra giovani e lavoro, ambito in cui l’instabilità raggiunge il suo apice, concentrandosi sul mutamento del profilo del giovane dipendente, da vagabondo a precario. L’ultimo capitolo sintetizza le conclusioni che si possono trarre dalla ricerca. Vengono qui presentate alcune considerazioni e riflessioni non solo sulla condizione giovanile, ma anche sulla condizione della letteratura scritta dagli stessi giovani. In questo contesto, nella conclusione del lavoro in luce vengono posti il mito della giovinezza, la realizzazione identitaria, la frammentazione, sia degli individui che della scrittura, e l’impatto multiforme del postmoderno sulla condizione giovanile.
