Abstract For a balanced wall crossing in geometric invariant theory (GIT), there exist derived equivalences between the corresponding GIT quotients if certain numerical conditions are satisfied. Given such a wall crossing, I construct a perverse sheaf of categories on a disk, singular at a point, with half-monodromies recovering these equivalences, and with behaviour at the singular point controlled by a GIT quotient stack associated to the wall. Taking complexified Grothendieck groups gives a perverse sheaf of vector spaces: I characterize when this is an intersection cohomology complex of a

Bones are multifunctional passive organs of movement that supports soft tissue and directly attached muscles. They also protect internal organs and are a reserve of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. Each bone is covered with periosteum, and the adjacent bone surfaces are covered by articular cartilage. Histologically, the bone is an organ composed of many different tissues. The main component is bone tissue (cortical and spongy) composed of a set of bone cells and intercellular substance (mineral and organic), it also contains fat, hematopoietic (bone marrow) and cartilaginous tissue. Emotional intelligence is a way of knowing how one feels in a situation. And this emotional intelligence is used for self and for others also. People who are having high emotional intelligence can help others who are suffering from distress and they can help them to regulate their feelings from negative to positive. Emotional intelligence can either be an ability that can be enhanced, or it is a trait that cannot be enhanced, and people get it by birth just like hearing ability or any other ability which one has by birth. This chapter discusses all these aspects. It is said that high emotional quotient people include at least these three skills, and they are emotional alertness, the efficacy by which anyone can recognize and name one's own emotions, and the efficacy where one can tackle those emotions and implement them.

The dispersion quotient method, an optical measuring technique for particles, has been applied to in situ measurements of the soot particle size and density in the secondary zone of a KHD GT-216 gas turbine combustor under operating engine conditions. The optical technique, which has been developed at the Institut of Thermische Strömungsmaschinen, is based on the light extinction at different wavelength by a particle cloud due to absorption and scattering. It is of particular advantage in applications, where particles of small size (d ≤ 1.0μ) and high density are to be investigated. In the pre

For a considerable amount of time blade integrated disks (blisks) are established as a standard component of high pressure compressors (HPCs) in aero engines. Due to the steady requirement to increase the efficiency of modern HPCs, blade profiles get thinned out and aerodynamic stage loading increases. Ever since, aerofoil design has to balance structural and aerodynamic requirements. One particularity of aero engines is the possibility to ingest different kinds of debris during operation and some of those particles are hard enough to seriously damage the aerofoil.
