Abstract:

This study was conducted to assess the knowledge and awareness of the students of the Faculty of Medicine on global warming, climate change and their consequences. In this Cross-sectional study a questionnaire was applied by reaching 404 persons from the Faculty of Medicine. The mean of knowledge points for global warming is 26.15 ± 2.88. Abstract:

This chapter focuses on spectatorship and reception of Ceylan’s films both in Turkey and around the globe to demonstrate how Ceylan has secured his position of a global auteur and a part of a national film canon simultaneously in the complex and precarious map of artistic recognition. A detailed content analysis of texts and reviews of film scholars, amateur and professional critics demonstrate the issue of reception, and an account of the development of Ceylan’s career within national film culture, global film networks and a Pan-European eco-system of cinema would help to map out Ceylan’s artistic recognition. Holding the role of a global auteur and a national cinema figure simultaneously is a delicate task given the tension between clashing expectations regarding a universalist humanist storyteller and a national figure whose films are under constant pressure of being read as national allegories. The chapter investigates the development of Ceylan’s career to decipher how he has found the fine balance between the national and the global with readings of his key films that demonstrate his reception in different contexts.

This chapter presents Ceylan through his films, starting with his directorial debut Koza/Cocoon (1995), first feature Kasaba/The Small Town (1997), second, Mayıs Sıkıntısı/Clouds of May (1999), third, Uzak/Distant (2002), fourth, İklimler/Climates (2006), as a tetralogy defined by the author as ‘A Portrait of the Provincial Artist as an Urban Intellectual’; Üç Maymun/Three Monkeys (2008) shifting the focus from the individual to the nuclear family, Bir Zamanlar Anadolu’da/Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2011) widening the screen to cinemascope while widening its scope to encompass the country and its historical and socio-political landscape, Kış Uykusu/Winter Sleep returning to the microcosm while reviving the ‘Provincial Artist as an Urban Intellectual’ motif and finally, Ahlat Ağacı/The Wild Pear Tree reverting to Ceylan’s father-son occupation through anti-heroes. Reflecting on each film, the chapter highlights their interconnectedness-common themes (solitude, nostalgia, lack of communication, father-son, ‘distant’ gaze of the urban intellectual); existential sadness and traumas of liminality in characters from traditional societies; transitory spaces; motifs of claustrophobia, absence, innocence and its loss, dishonesty (and dishonesty as the essence of cinema) and influences-Tarkovsky, Kiarostami, Ozu and Chekhov. Ceylan’s special style of turning to the local and familiar to reach the global (hence building a global audience) is the running thread through the chapter.

Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretimi alanına mobil öğrenme teknolojileri açısından bakarak alanın öğretim içeren tüm disiplinlerinde mobil öğrenmenin kullanılabilirliğinin değerlendirildiği bu çalışmanın temel amacı alana farklı bir yaklaşım kazandırmaktır. Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin 2000’li yıllardan sonra gözlenen hızlı yükselişi birçok bilim alanını olduğu gibi eğitim alanını da olumlu yönde etkilemiştir. Bu yıllarla birlikte teknoloji mobil cihazlarda hayat bulmuş, 2007 yılından itibaren de global teknoloji firmalarının işletim sistemlerinin piyasaya sürülmesiyle “akıllı” hale gelen telefonlara dönüşmüşler ve kullanımlarını daha da popüler hale getirmişlerdir. Bazı çalışmalar, mobil cihazların kullanımının, akademik büyümeyi ve güçlendirmeyi destekleyerek veya öğrencilerin öğrenme tutumlarını ve öğrenme başarılarını geliştirerek eğitim kalitesinin iyileştirilmesine yardımcı olabileceğini öne sürmekte iken bazı araştırmalar ise mobil cihazların bazen eğitim başarısını engelleyebileceğini bildirmektedir. Bu nedenle mobil cihazların eğitim ortamına entegrasyonundan en iyi şekilde yararlanmak için senaryonun nasıl olacağının belirlenmesi gerekmektedir. Mobil cihazların eğitim ortamındaki rolü ne olursa olsun, bir okulun öğrencilerinin mobil cihazlarını okula getirmelerini ve kullanmalarını yasaklaması gibi kısıtlayıcı politikalar yerine, uygun bir düzenleme ile mobil cihazın öğrenme sistemine entegrasyonundan fayda sağlanabilecektir. Bu entegrasyon ile mobil cihazlar yoluyla öğrenmenin, öğrencilerin öğrenme performansları, öğrenme süreçleri ve öğrenme deneyimleri üzerine olumlu etkileri olacağı öngörülmektedir. Mobil öğrenme alanının bir diğer çalışma konusu ise yapay zekâ ve bilişsel psikoloji alanları ile desteklenen akıllı öğretim sistemleridir. Günümüzün akıllı öğretim sistemleri tipik olarak bir öğretmenin veya öğretim asistanının rolünü kopyalamaya ve problem oluşturma, problem seçme ve geri bildirim oluşturma gibi pedagojik işlevleri giderek daha fazla otomatikleştirmeye çalışır. Sonuç olarak mobil öğrenme uygulamaları, beden eğitimi ve spor alanında büyük bir potansiyele sahiptir. Hem sporcuların hem de eğitmenlerin eğitim ve antrenman süreçlerini destekleyerek, daha verimli, etkili ve motive edici bir öğrenme deneyimi sunabilirler. Teknolojinin gelişimiyle birlikte, bu uygulamaların sunduğu imkanlar da artmakta ve spor eğitimine olan katkıları giderek daha fazla önem kazanmaktadır. Akıllı öğretim sistemlerinin ise beden eğitimi ve spor alanında kullanımı, eğitim süreçlerini daha etkili, verimli ve motive edici hale getirebilir. Teknolojinin ilerlemesiyle birlikte, bu sistemlerin sunduğu imkanlar da artmakta ve spor eğitimine olan katkıları giderek daha fazla önem kazanmaktadır.

Bir fenomen olarak çalışan deneyimi, son yıllarda yönetsel düşüncenin gündemine girerek, global ölçekte insan kaynakları işlevinin ve mesleğinin geleceğini şekillendirmeye başlamıştır. Bunun nedeni, deneyim ekonomisi paradigması çerçevesinde, işletmelerin artık rekabet avantajı elde etmede, farklılaşma stratejilerini, yalnızca müşterilerine sundukları deneyimler ile oluşturamayacağının farkına varmış olmasıdır. Bu bağlamda deneyim odaklı farklılaşmak, yüksek müşteri memnuniyeti ve bağlılığı oluşturmak isteyen işletmeler, çalışan deneyimi alanına yatırım yapmaya başlamıştır. Nitekim değişen parametreler ışığında, başarılı ve lider işletmelerin geleneksel, standartlaştırılmış ve geçerliliğini kaybetmiş insan kaynakları yönetim anlayışlarını rafa kaldıran ve deneyim odaklı güncel konseptler ile çalışanını işletmenin gerçek başarısına ortak olarak yeniden konumlandıran işletmeler olduğu görülmektedir. Bu noktada işletme liderleri ve insan kaynakları profesyonelleri için “çalışan” unsurunun yeniden anlamlandırıldığı, çalışanın müşterinin önünde tutulduğu yeni bir anlayışa uyumlanmaları beklentisi, işletmeye kritik iş değerlerinin sunulabilmesinde hayati öneme sahiptir. Çalışan deneyimi konsepti, en genel ifade ile çalışan yaşam döngüsü çerçevesi dikkate alınarak, işletmede insani ve sağduyulu bir anlayışla, çalışanın beklentilerine, isteklerine ve ihtiyaçlarına cevap verecek şekilde oluşturulan ve sürecin sonunda, çalışanda iş deneyiminin toplamı için olumlu bir algı yaratılmasının hedeflendiği, deneyim tasarım faaliyetlerini anlatmaktadır. Çalışan deneyimini doğru anlamak ve yönetmek, çalışan-işveren arasında güçlü uyumun sağlanmasında, yeteneklerin işletmeye çekilmesinde ve elde tutulmasında, bağlı çalışanların oluşturulmasında, değişen işgücü niteliğinin doğru yönetiminde ayrıca kârlılık, büyüme, rekabette avantaj, verimlilik, güçlü müşteri ilişkileri ve bağlılığı oluşturma gibi iş sonuçları üzerinde etkili bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca çalışan deneyimi anlayışı, işletme dünyasını deneyim ekonomisine bağlayan ve yetenek savaşında kazanan tarafı belirleyen, güçlü bir yönetim yaklaşımı olarak tanınmaya başlamıştır. Bu bölümde öncelikle dönemin öne çıkan anlayışlarından deneyim odaklılık tartışılmıştır. Ardından çalışan deneyimi kavramsal olarak tanıtılarak, model geliştirme çalışmaları, kavramın içerik unsurları, iş sonuçları üzerindeki etkisi ve insan kaynaklarının çalışan deneyimindeki rolü hakkında genel bir bilgilendirme yapılmıştır. Bölüm, çalışan deneyimi alanına ilgi duyan okuyucular ve araştırmacılar için kavram hakkında derinlemesine bilgi verilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Bununla birlikte çalışan deneyiminin ulusal literatüre tanıtılmasına, ileride alanla ilgili yapılacak çalışmalara ve ulusal literatürde tespit edilen kaynak eksikliğinin giderilmesine katkı sunması beklenilmektedir.

Abstract This chapter examines the narrative and ethical influences of Russian realism (Fedor Dostoevskii, Lev Tolstoi, and Anton Chekhov) on New Turkish Cinema and on Iranian new wave cinema. While Turkish film directors Nuri Bilge Ceylan and Zeki Demirkubuz openly acknowledge their engagement with Chekhov and Dostoevskii, second wave Iranian auteurs Abbas Kiarostami and Mohsen Makhmalbaf and third wave directors Jafar Panahi and Asghar Farhadi engage with Russian realism more obliquely. Nineteenth-century Russia shares with late twentieth and twenty-first-century Turkey and Iran anxieties about art’s relationship to power as well as its ability to represent a world fragmented by rapid modernization. The chapter traces the historical and cultural parallels of the Russian, Ottoman, and Persian Empires, seeing them as the source for the similar preoccupations of Russian realist literature and Turkish and Iranian cinema. They share Dostoevskian themes of incarceration, philosophical nihilism, suicide, and power relations; Chekhovian themes of small-town loneliness and communication breakdown in human relationships; and Tolstoian visions of finding other ways of living on the periphery, as well as similar ideological situations like art’s resistance in the face of state censorship. The chapter shows how the aesthetic and ethical structures of Russian realism prove themselves to be surprisingly durable at the turn of the twenty-first century in the Middle East.

E-commerce offers companies tremendous opportunities to improve their business performance in new and innovative ways. However, its potential benefit would only be realised by capable managers who can deal with these emerging technologies and implement them wisely. A skills shortage has been categorised as one of the challenges facing global e-commerce by Bingi and Khamalah (2000). The demand for highly knowledgeable and skilled managers and workloads places enormous pressure upon companies to improve or update their current knowledge and skills. This is particularly important in small and medium enterprises (SMEs),1 as compared with their larger counterparts, they are often described as “lacking the expertise needed to set up the technologies necessary, despite having a great deal to gain from doing so” (Anonymous, 1998, p. 52). Training is often seen as the most effective way to help SMEs to cope with the increasing demand on improving their skills, while not increasing staffing.

U kliničkim istraživanjima za metastatski melanom, selektivni inhibitori BRAF gena, vemurafenib i dabrafenib, pokazali su značajnu antitumorsku aktivnost i poboljšanje u OS i PFS kada se porede s dakarbazinom.
