Salt is a natural product made from evaporation of sea water with the help of sunlight. The benefits of salt are many, both for food, health, and beauty needs. In addition, salt can treat skin diseases, overcome rough skin. Honey has good benefits for the health of the body, both externally and internally. The purpose of this study was to compile the ingredient formula and determine the effect of the raw material formula on the physical and organoleptic properties of facial mask products made from salt and honey. GMV was acquired by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Neither PA nor SED associated with GMV in the hippocampus in the whole sample (p > 0.05). Those are the main objects of growing GM crops. Critics, on the other hand, say that GM crops have bad effects on the environment, and the risks could be too high. Abstract This paper compares Generalised Minimum Variance and Pole-placement techniques for the control of a lightly damped cantilever beam smart structure. Saturation of the control signal can lead to limit cycles in Pole-placement control. Saturation compensation can remove these limit cycles, allowing disturbances of the beam to be rejected, but introduces a low amplitude, higher frequency vibration effect. Control sensitivity functions used to investigate these limit cycles show that certain Pole-placement controllers are sensitive to frequencies in the 50Hz range. The sensitivity of a Gen

The GMV Upgrade Proposal provided funding to prepare the Cooper-Bessemer GMV engine test bed for 2006 PRCI research projects. The test bed, originally installed over a decade ago, relies of several different plant systems. These systems require occasional investment to update and repair. Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory (EECL) staff and PRCI members collaborated to decide upon several important investment areas which were directly address by this project.

Methane slip from large-bore, two-stroke, natural gas engines contribute significantly to green-house gas emissions. Optimizing the design and functionality of pre-combustion chambers is one potential solution to reducing these emissions. The objective of the study was to optimize a pre-combustion chamber to improve combustion efficiency and reduce methane emissions from a Cooper Bessemer GMV-4TF. Computational fluid dynamic simulations were used to investigate the effects of varying pre-combustion chamber design parameters, including nozzle angle, flow area, and volume. The most effective des

High-pressure fuel injection has become an important retrofit technology for lowering emission and fuel consumption in large bore natural gas engines. As emissions regulations become more stringent, the need for further reductions in pollutant emissions and fuel consumption is apparent. One aspect of high-pressure fuel injection where there is still room for improvement is the nozzle. The nozzle can both redirect and accelerate the fuel jet as it enters the cylinder. In this work, various new supersonic nozzle designs are experimentally evaluated. Experimental results for two different fuel in

Derived from automotive technology, ion sense utilizes post ignition ionization measurements from a standard spark plug to monitor the combustions process. Abstract:
Precombustion chamber (PCC) ignition is a common method for extending the lean limit and reducing combustion variability in large bore natural gas engines. An important component that fails the most and requires regular replacement, besides the spark plug, is the checkvalve. In this program the use of an electronic valve for monitoring fuel to the PCC instead of the checkvalve is investigated. Other methods of improving PCC performance are also studied, such as nitrogen enrichment and PCC nozzle design. Additionally, emissions formation in the PCC is evaluated through the use of a separate pre

Use of the pre-combustion chamber (PCC) as an ignition source in large-bore natural gas engines has shown promise in reducing emissions. By increasing the ignition energy and surface area via a turbulent jet, these devices can extend the lean operating limit of the engine and reduce oxides of nitrogen (NOx). This study aims to characterize the sensitivity of main chamber NOx formation to changes in the PCC jet. A CFD model of a Cooper-Bessemer GMV two-stroke lean-burn natural gas engine is used for this purpose. The temperature and chemical composition of the PCC jet are varied across several
