A significant number of children worldwide struggle with school refusal. Games and digital tools represent a novel take on how to address this phenomenon. Forskning finns som visar att äldres livskvalitet påverkas av många olika faktorer och den visar också att känslan av ensamhet kan påverka de äldres livskvalitet. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa äldre ensamboendes upplevelse av livskvalitet och vilka faktorer som påverkar deras upplevda livskvalitet. Metod: Intervjustudie med kvalitativ ansats. Syftet med denna uppsats var att beskriva hur socialarbetarens yrkesroll och yrkesidentitet kan konstrueras i uppdraget som biståndshandläggare och i förhållande till rådande diskurser inom området. Palliativ vård innebär att sjukdomen inte går att botas längre. Den syftar till att lindra lidandet samt främja livskvaliteten. Föräldrar är barnets närmaste närstående därför har de en viktig roll i den palliativa vården och har ett stort ansvar för den sjuke. Att vara förälder till ett barn som vårdas palliativt är väldigt ansträngande, intensivt och stressigt. Hela familjens livssituation förändras drastiskt och resulterar i en begränsad vardag. Det är viktigt att tillgodose både föräldrarnas och barnets behov då den palliativa vården blir ett av de viktigaste momenten i barnets sista tid.
