Abstract:
Based on the study of concrete material, the paper proposes to introduce a new Neolithic archaeological culture in the Caucasus – the Gobustan culture. As the basis for a detailed typological analysis, the author examined numerous collections of stone tools, uncovered from the cultural layers of the Anazaga site. Although known since 1965, these materials have not been the subject of any monographic publication until now. The proposed study considers these collections in the context of synchronous sites of the region and in more broad terms – in the cultural area, which includes Neolithic indu

Based on modern field and laboratory studies, the conditions for the accumulation of some rare and scattered elements in mud volcano breccias have been described in the article, using the example of the most characteristic mud volcanoes of Absheron and Gobustan. A typomorphic geochemical association with boron mineralization of rare and scattered elements in solid products of mud volcanic eruptions has been determined. It has been revealed that mud volcanism is a favorable factor for the accumulation of boron, lithium, cesium and strontium in mud volcano breccias in practically interesting val

In the Gobustan district of Azerbaijan, the cultivation of barley is influenced by a complex interplay of soil properties, climate change effects, and agricultural practices. This study explores the impact of varying NPK fertilizer application rates and seed quantities, under natural climatic conditions, on barley yield and soil nutrient availability within Chestnut soils. The district's unique Chestnut soils, combined with evolving precipitation patterns due to climate change and the role of agricultural irrigation, create intricate challenges for successful barley farming.
