Abstract:
Metaphysical modelling is a method in (epistemologically enlightened) metaphysics. It uses models for the philosophical analysis of metaphysico-epistemological situations. In this paper, the method is applied to a set of metaphysical questions that concern the relationship between God and the world, and the relationship between human beings and the world. The questions revolve around a center: What is it that ultimately determines reality? This complex metaphysical subject is treated in a simplified and downsized manner: on the scale of board games. As will be seen, the unusual perspective provided by the model leads to new insights and has a salutary corrective effect in the metaphysico-epistemological respect. The paper also provides an analysis and defense of analogical thinking in metaphysics (of which way of thinking metaphysical modelling is a special form).

Abstract:
Throughout his life, Newton searched for the machinery through which God creates, designs and sustains the world. He believed that the Creator is a God of Dominion who continuously preserves His creation through secondary mechanical causes or through direct, voluntary actions. God periodically intervenes in order to restore the pure and divine state of creation, deteriorated due to material interactions in a natural process of decay. The restoration, whether through matter or through chosen souls, is pure and simple, flowing equably along God's eternal duration. As time passes, a process of decay and corruption causes these pure states to deviate from the original divine path and they gradually begin to flow along distorted and distracted ways. Newton's youthful method of fluxions, though dealing with abstract mathematics, has a crucial role in revealing true knowledge about the God of creation and sustenance. The mathematical method captures and reveals the most fundamental truth about the mechanism of perception and the natural decline of all processes in Nature. This simple method is analogous to the simple creed, which God reinstills throughout history in religious founders and prophets assisting humans to worship God properly.

AbstractIn this article I highlight a tension between Alston's core thesis in his seminal book Perceiving God – that beliefs about God formed on the basis of mystical perception are prima facie justified – and a currently popular method for disarming a certain form of the argument from evil, a method which involves adopting a view known as sceptical theism.

Abstract:
Abstract This article discusses Descartes’s preferred focus on morally and theologically neutral subjects and points out the impact of this focus on the scientific status of theology. It does so by linking Descartes’s method to his transformation of the notion of substance. Descartes’s Meditations centred around epistemological questions rather than non-human intelligences or the life of the mind beyond this world. Likewise, in his early works, Descartes consistently avoided referring to causal operators. Finally, having first redefined the notion of substance in the Principia, Descartes would completely abandon making use of this notion in his later years. Indeed, in contrast to many authors before and after him, Descartes never showed any interest in the long-established metaphysical interpretation of substances as being causal factors of natural change. With God, nature, and mind commonly serving as instances of substantial causality, Descartes’s philosophy had a huge impact on the place of God in science and discreetly excluded theology as a subject to which his method might be applied.

Abstract:
The glucose oxidase–peroxidase (GOD–POD) method used to measure serum unbound bilirubin (UB) suffers from direct bilirubin (DB) interference. Using a bilirubin-inducible fluorescent protein from eel muscle (UnaG), a novel GOD–POD–UnaG method for measuring UB was developed. Newborn sera with an indirect bilirubin/albumin (iDB/A) molar ratio of <0.5 were classified into four groups of DB/total serum bilirubin (TB) ratios (<5%, 5–10%, 10–20%, and ≥20%), and the correlation between the UB levels and iDB/A ratio was examined. Linear regression analysis was performed to compare UB values from both methods with the iDB/A ratio from 38 sera samples with DB/TB ratio <5% and 11 samples with DB/TB ratio ≥5%. The correlation coefficient (r) between UB values and the iDB/A ratio for the GOD–POD method was 0.8096 (DB/TB ratio <5%, n = 239), 0.7265 (5–10%, n = 29), 0.7165 (10–20%, n = 17), and 0.4816 (≥20%, n = 16). UB values using the GOD–POD–UnaG method highly correlated with the iDB/A ratio in both <5% and ≥5% DB/TB ratio sera (r = 0.887 and 0.806, respectively), whereas a low correlation (r = 0.428) occurred for ≥5% DB/TB ratio sera using the GOD–POD method. Our GOD–POD–UnaG method can measure UB levels regardless of the presence of DB.

Kerentanan airtanah terhadap pencemaran dapat terjadi akibat adanya aktivitas manusia. Oleh karena itu, kualitas dan kuantitas airtanah perlu diperhatikan. Penerapan metode GOD (Groundwater Occurrence, Overlaying Lithology and Depth Of Groundwater) dilakukan untuk mengkaji kerentanan airtanah di Kota Banda Aceh, Provinsi Aceh. The vulnerability of contaminated groundwater caused by human activity. Thus, the quantity and quality of groundwater need more attention. The application of GOD (Groundwater Occurrence, Overlaying Lithology and Depth of Groundwater) methods is done for a review of groundwater vulnerability in Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province. The GOD method is a method by investigating three parameters, they are: type of aquifer, type of lithology above the aquifer, and depth of groundwater table. This study aims to map areas with potential contamination based on the level of groundwater vulnerability using the GOD method, in Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province. The result of the research shows that the level of intrinsic groundwater vulnerability in Banda Aceh by the GOD method range from moderate to high. Moderate groundwater vulnerability zone based on this method has an index value of 0.45 - 0.5 covers several areas, they are: Kuta Alam, Kutaraja, Meuraksa, Jaya Baru, Banda Raya, Lueng Bata, and Baiturrahman. And the high index value covers Syiah Kuala and Ulee Kareng with 0.52 - 0.69. The lithology of the studied area shows the same type of aquifer as an alluvial aquifer system. Abstract:
Gandhiji’s method of conflict resolution was based on truth and non-violence. Truth was for him the image of God. He did not believe in personal God. For Gandhi truth is God and God is truth. Life is a laboratory where experiments are carried on. That is why he named his autobiography “My Experiment with Truth”, without these experiments truth cannot be achieved. According to Gandhi, the sayings of a pure soul which possesses nonviolence, non-stealing, true speech, celibacy and non-possession is truth. The truth of Gandhiji was not confined to any country or community. In other words , his religion had no geographical limits. His patriotism was not different from the service of human beings but was its part and parcel(Mishra:102). Gandhiji developed an integral approach and perspective to the concept of life itself on the basis of experience and experiments. His ideas ,which came to be known to be his philosophy, were a part of his relentless search for truth(Iyer:270). The realization of this truth is possible only with the help of non-violence The negative concept of Ahimsa presupposes the absence of selfishness, jealousy and anger, but the positive conception of ahimsa demands the qualities of love ,liberalism, patience, resistance of injustice, and brutal force.

Abstract:
Using historical critical methods of interpretation, many Western and African scholars have dismissed the use of imprecation in Africa as an incantatory, uncritical, and above all, unwholesome Christian practice. But using an Afrocentric method of interpretation, I argue that African Christians’ use of imprecation is a legitimate Christian prayer that is consistent with God’s character of retributive justice, regardless of its unwholesomeness. For many African Christians, to imprecate is to participate in the ongoing and eschatological reality of God’s holy indignation, and judgment against systemic forces of oppression, injustice, and impunity perpetrated by the powers of the enemy.

Abstract:
Getting the best and most out of every employee has become more important in today's society. We are expected to be both productive and efficient in everything we do. But what exactly does coincide with the individual work performance? Is it how committed we are at work, our self-esteem or is it even our personality? Are there any tools for recruiting who can say something about how someone will perform at work? The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether employee engagement, personality and performance-based self-esteem are of importance to the perceived individual work performance. The study examined validated tests that measure personality (Mini-IPIP6), performance-based self-esteem (PBSE) and work engagement (UWES9) in relation to the individual work performance (IWPQ) to investigate which relationships that exist. A web questionnaire with these four questionnaires was compiled and supplemented with background issues. The collected data were analyzed using correlation and regression analyzes. The study comprised 250 people (M = 34 years, SD = 11 years) with different backgrounds, and the only inclusion criterion was to have some form of work experience. The results showed that work engagement was the best variable to predict a good individual work performance, while the personality dimensions, neuroticism and honesty, were the best variables to predict a counterproductive work behavior. The conclusion in this study was that questionnaires that measure work engagement (UWES9) are best suited of Mini-IPIP6, PBSE and UWES9, when the purpose is to try to predict a good perceived individual work performance.

Drost, Paul Ernest. "Church planting| A strategic method for increasing missional effectiveness in the assemblies of God." Thesis, Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, 2015. http://pqdtopen.proquest.com/#viewpdf?dispub=3689028.

Abstract:

Worldwide the Church continues to grow and flourish in the most hostile environments. Today's church provides living proof that Jesus actively, intentionally, and powerfully builds His church. Around the world wherever the Church grows, it is growing through a church planting movement of unprecedented proportions.

This project proposes to show that church planting in America, as in the rest of the world, is a crucial, strategic, and biblical method for increasing the missional effectiveness of the Assemblies of God (AG). Historically, the AG in the United States has committed to fulfilling the Great Commission through a two-fold emphasis of planting new churches and sending out missionaries to foreign fields. The missional importance of church planting will be demonstrated through research data from over 8,000 AG churches, comparing the spiritual metrics of church plants to existing churches over thirteen years of age. Additionally, research will compare the missional metrics of churches that plant churches with churches that do not engage in planting other churches.

Today, the AG shows encouraging signs of growth. However, two realities must temper these signs. AG numerical growth as a whole is not keeping up with population trends. Nationwide the number of AG churches per one thousand people continues to decline, and the AG continues to be underrepresented in the growing urban areas. Although the AG should rejoice in God's continued blessings, it must intentionally prioritize proven ways to increase missional effectiveness. God strategically uses the planting of new churches to break new ground for the gospel and increase the harvest.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Agnes of God is the story of a nun (Agnes) who gets pregnant while living in a convent. She almost dies after giving birth to a baby, who was later found dead in a garbage can. The cast consists of three members: Agnes; Mother Miriam Ruth (Mother Superior); and Dr. Martha Livingstone, the court appointed psychiatrist. Faith is tested as Dr. Livingstone draws closer to uncovering the truth surrounding the conception, birth, and death of Agnes’ baby. I performed the role of Mother Superior in the UNO production of Agnes of God. This thesis documents my rehearsal and performance journey. It includes a rehearsal journal and an evaluation of my performance. The play was performed in the Lab Theatre of the Performing Arts Center on November 5 and 6; November 14 and 15; and on November 19 and 20. Agnes of God is based on a true story. Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is to describe, analyse and assess the developing ecclesiology of the Assemblies of God in Australia (AGA). In chapter one, after reviewing the sparse literature on pentecostal ecclesiology, we turn to a contemplation of ecclesiological method. We note that some of the typical approaches, including biblicist and communio ecclesiologies, are idealist in orientation, since they contemplate the church in abstraction from its concrete, socio-historical and cultural identity. In chapter two we develop an alternative method, building particularly on the insights of Joseph Komonchak and Neil Ormerod, who argue that the object of ecclesiology is not ecclesial ideals but, rather, the set (or sets) of experiences, understandings, symbols, words, judgements, statements, decisions, actions, relationships, and institutions which distinguish the group of people called “the Church.” This leads to a concrete methodology that is derived from the explicit and implicit ecclesiology apparent in the history of the church. It also recognises that the church is a social reality as well as a divinely ordained community and, therefore, that the ecclesiologist needs to incorporate the insights of both the disciplines of theology and sociology. A large part of our discussion in chapter two is thus concerned with the nature of the interaction between these various disciplines. The method outlined in these early chapters forms the basis of our exploration of the ecclesiology of the AGA in chapters three to five. In line with our methodological construction, each chapter begins with the narrative of particular periods in the movement’s history, focusing especially on times of ecclesial transition and development. These narrative sections not only tell a story that has, largely, remained untold, but they also seek to draw out the explicit and implicit elements of AGA ecclesiology. In each chapter, narrative is followed by analysis which, firstly, clarifies central aspects of the developing ecclesiology and, secondly, attempts to assess what has been gained and lost in the process of ecclesiological change. With regard to the content of these chapters, chapter three treats the development of early pentecostalism, and the transition from unstructured and loosely knit faith mission communities to congregationally structured churches. Chapter four analyses the institutional formation of Australian pentecostalism, focusing particularly on the formalisation of the AGA. Of concern during this period was the relationship between churches and centralised bodies, as well as the roles and responsibilities of church leadership. Chapter five then treats the developments in AGA ecclesiology that accompanied the charismatic revival of the 1960s, 70s and 80s, as well as the institutional changes that occurred due to the rapid growth of the movement. In the concluding chapter six, we summarise our research, and intimate potential trajectories for the AGA as it moves into the twenty first century. In the light of our analysis and assessment, we also make some suggestions for ecclesial self-reflection.

Abstract:
Since 2004, the amount of unaccompanied children in Sweden has increased and 2014 over 7000 children came here. An unaccompanied child is a child who is coming without its parents or someone who can act in their place. The most common health problem among unaccompanied children is mental illness, for instance because of traumatic incidents in their lives. The aim of this study is to describe the involved persons’ opinions about unaccompanied children’s opportunities for good health. The surveys for the study have been conducted by eight qualitative separate interviews. The persons interviewed were people who in some way have continuous contact with unaccompanied children in a smaller district in the middle of Sweden. The interviews were analyzed in a manifest content analysis. The ethic principles for research and trustworthiness have been observed during the study. The result shows that integration, support and engagement from the community, school and persons involved were experienced as conditions for unaccompanied childrens health. Several factors were considered influence unaccompanied children’s health, for example trauma, education, social relations and the possibility of recreational activities. The persons involved considered that these factors also could influence and be crucial for each other. The conclusions were that there are some factors that to a greater extent are experienced to influence unaccompanied children’s opportunities for good health. Even though the unaccompanied children in some degree are considered to have good opportunities, there are several ways of improving and increasing their possibilities for good health.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to understand school counselors´ and teachers´ perspectives on the prevention of bullying in relation to social capital. The study was based on a qualitative process with semi-structured interviews from three teachers and three school counselors from three different schools. The main question was to find out teachers and school counselors perspectives of bullying in relation to social capital. The analysis was based on a theory that focuses on social capital, where trust and confidence as well as universal and selective interventions are important. Today, bullying is considered a serious and significant problem in school. School and school climate can be an arena of social capital, where trust and confidence exists and where bullying can be seen as an undesirable social capital, as it can contribute cause to the trust and confidence between people reduce or destroyed. Therefore, it is important to find successful ways to prevent and stop bullying. The main conclusion in this research was that trust and confidence are important in the prevention of bullying in order to achieve a desirable social capital.

Abstract:
Design patterns are general reusable solutions to common recurring problems in software projects. These solutions, when correctly applied, are supposed to enhance modular and flexible structures in software. The aim of this work is to study the occurrences of God Class and Long Method bad smells in software systems developed with design patterns. To achieve this aim, we carried out a study with five Java project, in order to: (i) investigate if the use of GOF design patterns avoid the occurrences of the bad smells God Class and Long Method, (ii) identify co-occurrences of the GOF design patterns with these bad smells, and (iii) identify the main situations that lead software systems to present these co-occurrences. The results obtained suggest that Composite and Factory Method have a low co-occurrence with these bad smells, and Template Method and Observer have a high co-occurrence with God Class and Long Method, respectively. In addition, we have identified that the misuse of design patterns and the scattering and crosscutting concerns has contributed to the emergence of such co-occurrences.

Abstract:
The phenomenon that can be perceived in biblical texts is a specific structure of the relations between characters that basically has the form of “twins”. The “twins” are somehow set at the same distance from the third character, which can be graphically pictured as the top vertex of the triangular structure. However, this third character also has its own “twin”, but their relation is different than the relation between the aforementioned twins: the third and its “twin” somehow go together, yet they are somehow opposite to each other. For this reason, the twin of the third we named “doppelganger”: it is the shadow figure of the third, yet mostly having the different value from it (“positive” instead of “negative”). Usually at the coming of the doppelganger the third disappears from the story. In this paper we shall analyse this phenomenon in the Genesis, but using metodology of Data Science. Data collection was made by reading several translations of the Book of Genesis and recording the appearance of characters (Adam / Eve, Yahweh / Snake). Correlation between parameters was determined using Pearson's and Spearman's correlation coefficient, more precisely, the correlation matrix. After statistical data processing, a conceptual model was developed. Using System Theory, a computer model of this complex, closed system describing a “pattern of behavior” was developed. For the validation of the model, considering that the distributions are asymmetrical non-Gaussian distributions, a non-parametric tests were applied. A search of scientific papers did not find any work that deals with the research of the Book of Genesis as complex, closed system according System Theory, using Data Science methodology and Simulation modelling as a research method. This paper presents a developing knowledge-based model which contributes to philosophy of religion.

Abstract:
A design pattern is a general reusable solution to a recurring problem in software design. Bad smells are symptoms that may indicate something wrong in the system design or code. Therefore, design patterns and bad smells represent antagonistic structures. They are subject of recurring research and typically appear in software systems. Although design patterns represent good design, their use is often inadequate because their implementation is not always trivial or they may be unnecessarily employed. The inadequate use of design patterns may lead to a bad smell. Therefore, this paper performs an exploratory study in order to identify instances of co-occurrences of design patterns and bad smells. This study is performed over five systems and discovers some co-occurrences between design patterns and bad smells. For instance, we observed the co-occurrences of Command with God Class and Template Method with Duplicated Code. The results of this study make it possible to understand in which situations design patterns are misused or overused and establish guidelines for their better use.

Abstract:
This article addresses the issue of conflict between religious communities that cause enmity amid society. Hostilities must be overcome and resolved in accordance with the call of Christianity to live in love and peace. The study used the qualitative paradigm as the method of the research and the descriptive-analyses as the writing method by describing the research problems based on data collected from related publications. One of the powerful messages of Jesus's teaching is "Love your enemies." It’s one of the greatest challenges in life. Jesus Christ gave an important doctrine about loving the enemy because love is more powerful than evil, hurtful deeds. Loving the enemy means canceling hostilities and violence, but instead, it promises acceptance of each other. The title of this study is "love your enemies": A Christian Response to Embrace Others. As the title of this study is "love your enemies," the reason for the selection of this article is because the author sees that "loving the enemy is a commandment from God that must be obeyed. This research question emphasizes how to realize "loving the enemy" amid hostility. This paper argues that Jesus's command to love the enemy is a proper Christian lifestyle choice in the midst of hostility. We use CS Song thoughts, which elaborated with other scholars' views on theology, loving, and embracing others. The purpose of the research was to gain understanding and build a theological reflection on Jesus' commandment to love the enemy. In this article, we first briefly discuss the portrait of life among religious people in Indonesia. Secondly, we discuss the conflict between religious people in Indonesia. Finally, we apply the command of Jesus to love our enemy as a Christian lifestyle in the midst of hostility to construct harmony amid hostility. We propose the command of Jesus to ‘love your enemy’ as a response to establishing sustainable peace by embrace others. Finally, the Christians must become a loving community because God so loved us, and we also ought to love and embrace others.

Abstract:
Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by chronic respiratory symptoms. The respiratory symptoms of patients with acute exacerbation of COPD (AECOPD) worsen rapidly. At present, traditional western medicine treatment can not effectively alleviate the symptoms and attack frequency of patients. Suzi Jiangqi decoction(SZJQ) has a good clinical effect in the treatment of AECOPD. Due to the lack of evidence-based medicine, it can not provide an effective systematic evaluation for the treatment of AECOPD with Suzi Jiangqi decoction. Therefore, it is necessary to provide high-quality evidence evaluation for the clinical efficacy and safety of Suzi Jiangqi Decoction in the treatment of AECOPD. Methods: Two researchers independently retrieved randomized controlled trial (RCT) and quasi-RCTs of SZJQ in the treatment of AECOPD from databases including PubMed, Web of science, the Cochrane Library, CBM, CNKI, Sinomed, VIP and WanFang. The included studies were evaluated for quality according to the RCT quality assessment method provided by Cochrane Reviewer's Handbook 5.3.Review Manager 5.3 software provided by the Cochrane collaboration was used for meta-analysis. Results: This study will provide systematic review on the efficacy and safety of SZJQ as adjuvant therapy in patients with AECOPD by rigorous quality assessment and reasonable data synthesis. Conclusions: This systematic review will provide the good evidence currently on SZJQ as adjuvant therapy in patients with AECOPD.

Abstract:
The article examines the main features, general characteristics and essence of the concept of solutions journalism. The basic principles of functioning of this model of journalism in the western press and in Ukraine are given. The list and features of activity of the organizations, institutes and editorial offices supporting development of journalism of solutions journalism. The purpose of the publication is to describe the Solutions Journalism model: its features, characteristics and features of functioning, to find out the difference in the understanding of the concept of «solutions journalism» and «constructive journalism» in general. The task of the publication was to conceptualize the main trends in the development of solutions journalism in the Western and Ukrainian information space; show the main characteristics, formats of functioning and analyze the features of the concepts of «solutions journalism» and «constructive journalism». Applied research methods: at the stage of research of the history of formation of the concept of Solutions Journalism the historical method is used. The hermeneutic method of research helped in the interpretation of basic concepts, the phenomenological approach was applied in the context of considering the essence of the phenomenon of solutions journalism. At the stage of generalization of the features of the concepts of Solutions Journalism and «constructive journalism» a comparative method was used, which gave an understanding of the common components in their essence. The method of analysis allowed to expand the understanding of the purpose of Solutions Journalism as a type of social journalism and its main tasks. With the help of synthesis it was possible to comprehensively understand the concept of Solutions Journalism and understand its features. In Ukraine, this type of journalism is just emerging, but its introduction into the editorial policy of the media may have a national importance. These are regional and local media that can inform their communities about the positive solution of certain problems in other communities, and thus thanks to this model can save local journalism. In the scientific context, there is a need to outline the main differences in the understanding of the concepts of decision journalism and constructive journalism, to understand the socio-psychological need to create good news.

Full text
Abstract:
The article is an overview of the journalism – PR – advertising relationship at the terminological, empirical-analytical and practical levels. It traces the state of the discussion of these correlations in the post-soviet media such as Ukraine. The study describes that domesticating the importance of the appropriate partnership between the three communication technologies. The thesis is that journalism, advertising and PR create a mutual connection that takes place in an atmosphere of PR and advertising permissiveness and deepens with the development of digitalization, Social network development. The present research is based on a comprehensive approach. The inductive and deductive methods are adopted to discuss theoretical materials, and the interdisciplinary research method is used to detect PR-specific features as a philosophy of a new journalism project. The interpretive approach, usually employed to analyze media text as a complex synthetic structure, was also taken into consideration. The analytical method application identified the modern means of substantiating the ideological, esthetical and informative value of brand journalism and spin doctor. The innovative character of modern media as a behavioral strategy in the advertising and PR industry consists in the fact that it is a form of creative production and behavior rather than adapting a specific communication situation. The article examines the main directions of contemporary interactions between PR, advertising and journalism as a media content creation. In this context, it is asserted that advertising, journalism and PR activities can contribute to the creation of media content. At some point, good media content is achieved not only as a result of this competition but also from the correlation between PR, advertising and journalism.

Abstract:
Full information maximum likelihood (FIML) is an important approach to compensating for nonresponse in data analysis. Unfortunately, only a few software packages implement FIML and even fewer have the capability to compensate for missing not at random (MNAR) nonresponse. One of these packages is Statistical Innovations’ Latent GOLD; however, the user documentation for Latent GOLD provides no mention of this capability. The purpose of this paper is to provide guidance for fitting MNAR FIML models for categorical data items using the Latent GOLD 5.0 software. By way of comparison, we also provide guidance on fitting FIML models for nonresponse missing at random (MAR) using the methods of Fuchs (1982) and Fay (1986), who incorporated item nonresponse indicators within a structural modeling framework. We compare both FIML for MAR and FIML for MNAR nonresponse models for independent and dependent variables. Also, we provide recommendations for future applications of FIML using Latent GOLD.
