Abstract:
Metaphysical modelling is a method in (epistemologically enlightened) metaphysics. It uses models for the philosophical analysis of metaphysico-epistemological situations. In this paper, the method is applied to a set of metaphysical questions that concern the relationship between God and the world, and the relationship between human beings and the world. The questions revolve around a center: What is it that ultimately determines reality? This complex metaphysical subject is treated in a simplified and downsized manner: on the scale of board games. As will be seen, the unusual perspective provided by the model leads to new insights and has a salutary corrective effect in the metaphysico-epistemological respect. The paper also provides an analysis and defense of analogical thinking in metaphysics (of which way of thinking metaphysical modelling is a special form).

Abstract:
Throughout his life, Newton searched for the machinery through which God creates, designs and sustains the world. He believed that the Creator is a God of Dominion who continuously preserves His creation through secondary mechanical causes or through direct, voluntary actions. God periodically intervenes in order to restore the pure and divine state of creation, deteriorated due to material interactions in a natural process of decay. The restoration, whether through matter or through chosen souls, is pure and simple, flowing equably along God's eternal duration. As time passes, a process of decay and corruption causes these pure states to deviate from the original divine path and they gradually begin to flow along distorted and distracted ways. Newton's youthful method of fluxions, though dealing with abstract mathematics, has a crucial role in revealing true knowledge about the God of creation and sustenance. The mathematical method captures and reveals the most fundamental truth about the mechanism of perception and the natural decline of all processes in Nature. This simple method is analogous to the simple creed, which God reinstills throughout history in religious founders and prophets assisting humans to worship God properly.

Abstract:
Abstract This article discusses Descartes’s preferred focus on morally and theologically neutral subjects and points out the impact of this focus on the scientific status of theology. It does so by linking Descartes’s method to his transformation of the notion of substance. Descartes’s Meditations centred around epistemological questions rather than non-human intelligences or the life of the mind beyond this world. Likewise, in his early works, Descartes consistently avoided referring to causal operators. Finally, having first redefined the notion of substance in the Principia, Descartes would completely abandon making use of this notion in his later years. Indeed, in contrast to many authors before and after him, Descartes never showed any interest in the long-established metaphysical interpretation of substances as being causal factors of natural change. With God, nature, and mind commonly serving as instances of substantial causality, Descartes’s philosophy had a huge impact on the place of God in science and discreetly excluded theology as a subject to which his method might be applied.

Abstract:
The glucose oxidase–peroxidase (GOD–POD) method used to measure serum unbound bilirubin (UB) suffers from direct bilirubin (DB) interference. Using a bilirubin-inducible fluorescent protein from eel muscle (UnaG), a novel GOD–POD–UnaG method for measuring UB was developed. Newborn sera with an indirect bilirubin/albumin (iDB/A) molar ratio of <0.5 were classified into four groups of DB/total serum bilirubin (TB) ratios (<5%, 5–10%, 10–20%, and ≥20%), and the correlation between the UB levels and iDB/A ratio was examined. Linear regression analysis was performed to compare UB values from both methods with the iDB/A ratio from 38 sera samples with DB/TB ratio <5% and 11 samples with DB/TB ratio ≥5%. The correlation coefficient (r) between UB values and the iDB/A ratio for the GOD–POD method was 0.8096 (DB/TB ratio <5%, n = 239), 0.7265 (5–10%, n = 29), 0.7165 (10–20%, n = 17), and 0.4816 (≥20%, n = 16). UB values using the GOD–POD–UnaG method highly correlated with the iDB/A ratio in both <5% and ≥5% DB/TB ratio sera (r = 0.887 and 0.806, respectively), whereas a low correlation (r = 0.428) occurred for ≥5% DB/TB ratio sera using the GOD–POD method. Our GOD–POD–UnaG method can measure UB levels regardless of the presence of DB.

Kerentanan airtanah terhadap pencemaran dapat terjadi akibat adanya aktivitas manusia. Oleh karena itu, kualitas dan kuantitas airtanah perlu diperhatikan. Penerapan metode GOD (Groundwater Occurrence, Overlaying Lithology and Depth Of Groundwater) dilakukan untuk mengkaji kerentanan airtanah di Kota Banda Aceh, Provinsi Aceh. The vulnerability of contaminated groundwater caused by human activity. Thus, the quantity and quality of groundwater need more attention. The application of GOD (Groundwater Occurrence, Overlaying Lithology and Depth of Groundwater) methods is done for a review of groundwater vulnerability in Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province. The GOD method is a method by investigating three parameters, they are: type of aquifer, type of lithology above the aquifer, and depth of groundwater table. This study aims to map areas with potential contamination based on the level of groundwater vulnerability using the GOD method, in Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province. The result of the research shows that the level of intrinsic groundwater vulnerability in Banda Aceh by the GOD method range from moderate to high. Moderate groundwater vulnerability zone based on this method has an index value of 0.45 - 0.5 covers several areas, they are: Kuta Alam, Kutaraja, Meuraksa, Jaya Baru, Banda Raya, Lueng Bata, and Baiturrahman. And the high index value covers Syiah Kuala and Ulee Kareng with 0.52 - 0.69. The lithology of the studied area shows the same type of aquifer as an alluvial aquifer system. Abstract:
Gandhiji’s method of conflict resolution was based on truth and non-violence. Truth was for him the image of God. He did not believe in personal God. For Gandhi truth is God and God is truth. Life is a laboratory where experiments are carried on. That is why he named his autobiography “My Experiment with Truth”, without these experiments truth cannot be achieved. According to Gandhi, the sayings of a pure soul which possesses nonviolence, non-stealing, true speech, celibacy and non-possession is truth. The truth of Gandhiji was not confined to any country or community. In other words , his religion had no geographical limits. His patriotism was not different from the service of human beings but was its part and parcel(Mishra:102). Gandhiji developed an integral approach and perspective to the concept of life itself on the basis of experience and experiments. His ideas ,which came to be known to be his philosophy, were a part of his relentless search for truth(Iyer:270). The realization of this truth is possible only with the help of non-violence The negative concept of Ahimsa presupposes the absence of selfishness, jealousy and anger, but the positive conception of ahimsa demands the qualities of love ,liberalism, patience, resistance of injustice, and brutal force.

Using historical critical methods of interpretation, many Western and African scholars have dismissed the use of imprecation in Africa as an incantatory, uncritical, and above all, unwholesome Christian practice. But using an Afrocentric method of interpretation, I argue that African Christians’ use of imprecation is a legitimate Christian prayer that is consistent with God’s character of retributive justice, regardless of its unwholesomeness. For many African Christians, to imprecate is to participate in the ongoing and eschatological reality of God’s holy indignation, and judgment against systemic forces of oppression, injustice, and impunity perpetrated by the powers of the enemy.

The current methods in psychoanalytic studies of God images and representations have focused almost exclusively on individual, internal processes. This article examines how psychological anthropologists go about formulating symbolic representations of deity in their research, in comparison with the object relations method of God-representations. Drawing on Melford Spiro's integrative proposal for interpreting the mental and collective representations in religious symbol systems, this paper proposes that there is a need for a comprehensive model of the representational process in the Eastern world in order to suit its cultural traditions. The author uses both theoretical and historical materials as well as personal narrative throughout its entirety to balance the two in a mutual and coherent flow of understanding. Noting the culturally patterned interactions with culturally postulated God-symbols, the object relations method of God-representations will be utilized to probe how God is both created and found on a collective (cultural) level as well as individual level.

The study is a contribution to research on the theological method and shows the motif of wonderment in the teaching and poetry of John Paul II as an experience inviting man to get to know God and His works ever more deeply. The human experience of being amazed with God has been presented as a theological event – a grace of the ability to stand in awe of God, to get closer to Him and to speak about Him. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that the mission of a theologian is inseparably connected with cultivating the ability to be amazed with God and His works. The experience of wonderment is one of the elements leading to communion with Christ the Theologian, who reveals the Father.

Abstract:
In looking for criteria by which to assess religious conceptual systems, many philosophers have turned for help to scientific methodology. Perhaps this is because they felt philosophers of science were themselves looking in the right epistemological direction, and had a viable way of describing what they saw. Richard Swinburne has provided a strong, sustained treatment of the application of scientific method to religious truth claims, in The Existence of God. He there makes use of what he sees as ‘the close similarities which exist between religious theories and large-scale scientific theories’ in assessing the epistemic status of belief in God. The goal of this paper will be to give enough of Swinburne's position to see what criteria might be plucked therefrom, to subject both the criteria and the underlying methodology to scrutiny, and to assess where one must go from here in appraising the truth-claims of religion.

In neither case, however, does the method correspond to Mark's own christological method, which uses narrative to juxtapose pictures of Jesus as both ‘truly human’ and ‘truly divine’. This essay explicates the ‘truly divine’ side of Mark's presentation, arguing that a number of Markan texts express a ‘high’ Christology without compromising either Jesus’ humanity or a truly monotheistic doctrine of God.

Full text
Abstract:
In the article a comprehensive study of the probabilistic method of the famous British theologian and philosopher Richard Swinburne. This approach serves as a means of constructing a new theistic cosmology. Richard Swinburne's philosophical and theological project is ambitious and significant. He prefers to combine the truths of faith and the achievements of modern science. However, this should be under the auspices of the religious worldview. This combination is carried out by the author from the standpoint of probabilism. It relies on the selection of inductive evidence of the existence of God and ultimately must demonstrate the proper probability of a central position in the religious worldview – "God exists". Such a combination is, according to the author, the living and active soul of his own "hypothesis of theism". This hypothesis is intended to explain the emergence of the universe, the causes of its occurrence, the existence and functioning of its permanent laws, its orientation to the emergence of animals and the appearance of man. The author widely uses the inductive proof of the existence of God. But he also does not avoid deduction. He deduces the main attributes of God through deduction, interprets the "God-world" relation, examines the essence of God's providential care of the world, together with ethics, gives his vision of the theodicy. The construction of a new theistic cosmology is realized mainly within the limits and means of the apologetics of Swinburne. In this system of knowledge, various ways of proving the existence of God are investigated. Subsequently they receive a proper theological assessment. And, then, it's about faith that seeks understanding. It is shown how the large-scale and ambitious project of constructing a new theology, the author failed to fully realize. The article states that Swinburne prefers to preserve the theoretical orientation of his theorizing, as well as their intellectual respectability and significance. And hence, it significantly degrades its own concept, because it does not fully utilize the theoretical resources of classical theism with its reliance on Revelation.

Abstract:
Groundwater vulnerability to pollution refers to the ease with which pollutants reach groundwater, in other words indicating the level of ease of an area to experience pollution. At present, the theme is one of the themes that attracts many researchers because pollution is more frequent in an area. The purpose of this study is to assess groundwater vulnerability in the study area for pollution using the GOD method and conduct a study of 3 groundwater vulnerability assessments, to determine the most appropriate assessment to be applied in the study area. The method used to determine groundwater vulnerability to pollution is GOD, which uses three parameters to assess the vulnerability of groundwater, namely aquifer type, rock type above aquifer and groundwater level. Furthermore, the results of the vulnerability assessment using the GOD method are compared with the vulnerability assessment according to the SINTACS and DRASTIC methods that have been carried out before in this area. The results showed that the variation of groundwater vulnerability index values in the study area according to the GOD method was from 0.35 to 0.63. Locations that are classified as medium vulnerability are generally located in the limestone Sentolo Formation, while locations that are classified as high vulnerability class are located in the volcanic rock of Yogyakarta Formation. Noting the results of determining groundwater vulnerability from the three methods, it can be said that the three methods are suitable for assessing groundwater vulnerability in the study area. However, looking at the distribution pattern of the level of pollution, the DRASTIC method can provide more detailed results related to the level of vulnerability.

Abstract The Syrian bishop Theophilus of Antioch said: «Show me your man, and I will show you my God!». This sentence is a way of conveying that man is the image of God. Philosophical thought has attempted to grasp this image through the representation, which suggests the representation as both visual model and act of thought. The image as representation of thought is the method through which both God and man have been thought. This is confirmed by Immanuel Kant who, in the ‘transcendental Dialectic’ of the Critique of Pure Reason, showed that metaphysics thought both man (transcendental paralogism) and God (transcendental Ideal) as an ‘idea’. In contrast, Husserl’s phenomenology opened a new method by conceiving every image, and therefore also the image of God and man, not as a representation of thought but as a ‘phenomenon’ that manifests itself. The phenomenological method, based on the imperative “zu den Sachen selbst!”, would be adequate to grasp human essence that, like the divine one, is spiritual, indefinable and unrepresentable. In order to think this unrepresentability, the present paper investigates the work of Jean-Luc Marion, who thought the unrepresentable image of God and, therefore, of man, by distinguishing the image as an idol and as an icon. Above all, we will try to show that phenomenology allows us to grasp the image of God and man as an icon that cannot be constructed by thought.

Abstract:
Discussions regarding the Covid-19 pandemic have been carried out by experts in the field of theology. They understood the pandemic as only punishment from God. The question that arises is, is the Covid-19 pandemic, solely a punishment from God? This question arises because, if God is only understood as an angry God, then that view will lead people to understand that God is evil. This article aims to examine the theological meaning of the Covid-19 pandemic based on the idea of paideia in Hebrews 12:4-13. My thesis is, Covid-19 is not only a form of punishment but also a manifestation of God's love as well. The research method I use is qualitative research. Through that method, I offer a new perspective on the meaning of Covid-19 and demonstrate the theological meaning of Covid-19 as a form of education from God to shape human character for a better future.

This research discussed the translation method of the Indonesian version of the song of Dear God and aimed at finding out the translator's ideology in the translation of the Indonesian version of the song of Dear God in terms of the theory of domestication and foreignization. This study used qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive methods. The theories used in this study were theories from Newmark and Venuti, and also other theories to support this research. In this study, translators were found using the translation method which is oriented to the source text. In addition, the domestication technique looked dominant in the translation of the songs because according to Newmark (1988) this technique was the most free technique to do because it focused on the effectiveness of the target language by updating what has been provided in the source text. Thus, the translation of the Indonesian version of the song Dear God emphasizes the ideology of domestication. The result of this study indicated that translators tend to use translation methods that are oriented to the language of the target text. Additionally, it was found that the domestication technique appeared dominantly in the translation of the Indonesian version of Dear God song

Abstract:
This study aims to examine the concept of incorporeality of God according to al-Ghazālī and Maimonides. Due to the existence of ‘human-like’ attributes and actions in the Hebrew Bible, it entails to various interpretations towards anthropomorphic verses within Muslim and Jewish society. During the golden age of Islamic civilization, fellow Jews and Christian were seen to be engaged in theological discourse with Muslim scholars. The emerging trend during that time in inculcating rational interpretations into religion has triggered scholars to be engaged in the inter-theological dialogue. Prior to this critical situation, al-Ghazālī and Maimonides were seen playing vital roles in affirming the incorporeality of God and refuting anthropomorphism in their respective religions. Therefore, this study will highlight their methods in affirming the incorporeality of God. In sum, it can be observed that al-Ghazālī employed kalām’s method of arguments on jawhar fard while Maimonides’ methods reciprocate Aristotle’s argument on the theory of motion. Through their propositions, both scholars denounced God to be associated to any form of substance, accident and body. Both argued that God is an incorporeal being that does not possess any forms or figures. However, Maimonides arguing through the theory of motion led to the concept of God as the First Mover. Meanwhile al-Ghazālī opposed against the former concept and argued that God particularized (mukhaşşiş) of every creations. In sum, it is apparent that the argument of incorporeality that serves as the fundamental proposition is essential in having the right understanding on the concept of God. Despite having the similarities in arguing on the incorporeality of God, both al- Ghazālī and Maimonides differ in comprehending the concept of God.

From the earliest stages of Wissenschaft des Judentums, scholars of Judaism typically read statements about God in the classical sources of Judaism with a mediaeval philosophical lens. By doing so, they sought to demonstrate the essential unity and continuity between rabbinic Judaism, later mediaeval Jewish philosophy and modern Judaism. In the late 1980s, the Maimonidean hold on rabbinic scholarship began to crack when the ‘revisionist school’ sought to drive a wedge between rabbinic Judaism, on the one hand, and Maimonidean Judaism, on the other hand, by highlighting the deep continuities and links between rabbinic Judaism and mediaeval Jewish mysticism (Kabbalah). The revisionist scholars regarded rabbinic Judaism as a pre-cursor to mediaeval Kabbalah rather than mediaeval Jewish philosophy. This article provides the history of scholarship on these two methods of reading rabbinic texts and then proposes that scholars adopt a third method. That is, building on the work of recent scholarship, we should confront theological rabbinic texts on their own terms, without the guiding hand of either mediaeval Jewish framework.

Abstract:
A Primary educator is that parents have an obligation to educate their children to know God. God through Moses ordered the parents of the Israelites to love God with all their heart and not only be limited to that but then also taught their children about God. The method delivered by Moses, which must be done by parents is to teach repeatedly, talk at all times, tie it to the hands and forehead and write on the door and the gate. From these four methods it can be concluded that Moses commanded the Israelites to love God by the method of teaching repeatedly, talking at all times, binding to their hands and forehead and writing on the door of the house and gate, then every Israelite looked at God in sacredness and studied God in the context of life with, so that the teachings of God are one with the child and are realized in every life.

AbstractJean-Paul Sartre is an atheist philosophical figure that is well known for spreading his idea about existentialism. The purpose of this paper is to know what Jean-Paul Sartre knows about the existence of God. As for the purpose of this writing is to see Jean-Paul Sartre concept of God that said if God exist then humanity is nothing, man will be come it self if they nullify God himself. The method of the research ised is a literature research and descriptive method, which scientifically digs the flow and the core of Jean-Paul Sartre thoughts and what other factor that affects his thinking. The result of this research shows that for Sartre the existence of God only limits himself from freedom. With existence of God humans can’t be free to find their true identity. The real freedom according to Sartre is humans are willing to deny God’s existence in every aspect of their life. The implications tha we can get from Jean-Paul Sartre idea is we have to acknowledge that philosophical thinking can not be separated from the context of its era so we must be careful on understanding Sartre thoughts that stated that we become ourself when we deny the existence of God, that’s why as a human we must be willing to learn through education and our experiences with God, so we can develop meaning for ourself and those around us by prioritizing God. Because of that, we must be responsible with what we belief on reaching our own existence.Key Words: Exitensialism; Jean-Paul Sartre; God

In the aftermath of World War II, twelve million Germans were forced to seek refuge elsewhere in their country. Their sort attracted the attention of Catholic charities such as the Eastern Priests Relief Organization, which provided material and spiritual assistance through a fleet of mobile chapels. This paper claims that this action was a genuinely ‘modern’ form of missionary work in the sense that both its method and message were a child of its time: dwelling on a culture of generalized mobility and mass communication, it spread the word of a triumphalist church claiming moral superiority over other world views, in particular communism. Moreover, the chapel trucks anticipated a fundamental paradigm shift in pastoral care, bringing the church to the people rather than the other way around.

Abstract:
An innovative view to theological texts as a literary genre has been established in research of the modern religions and designated as theopoetics, because, irrespective of whether a theological text is written in the poetic genre, in the form of a story or the style of a more dense, theoretical prose, it is based on the poesis: innovative, intuitive and an imaginary composition of the authors where the central figure is God. Therefore, approximately ten thousand recorded and published folk songs, as well as other Latvian folklore texts about God, are equal to theopoetics as a genre of creative writing with its specific expression tools. Folk songs are a product of purposeful human spiritual/intellectual activity and imagination, a typical cultural phenomenon of the relevant society, which helps to study the public’s views about the perception of God. To approach adequately to analysis and interpretation of such texts, in the late 20th century, a new method of research on religious texts – theopoetics – was established. Theopoetics is a method of analysing religious texts that encourages us to look at the ancient metaphors of God from another angle. It explores the language possibilities of figuratively creating God’s patterns, unlike the previous “scientific” God’s theories as the systematic attempt of theology to find God through the living (“incarnated”) God. Theopoetics theorists accept reality as a source of divine revelation as well as personal experience and metaphor-influenced divine understanding in various religions. This method allows to establish the essence and possible interpretations of the basic metaphors used in every individual religion: 1) critically weigh up the previous explanations of God; 2) study the interaction of applied metaphors, models and concepts within religion; 3) offers the potential of transformative, revolutionary models, using the language and metaphor layer that is widely understandable and used by people in everyday life. Research of metaphors does not impose objective or general criteria for assessing understanding of God; therefore, the aim of theopoetical discourse is not to prevent competing interpretations but to multiply the number of perceptions of God, to extend the emotional feeling, and to reveal new opinions. Folk songs figuratively represent God in metaphors and comparisons, but the theopoetics method has not been applied in the previous studies of God either because it is a relatively new methodological system, or because God’s perception in the folk songs has not been the focus of researchers of contemporary religions.

In both TdlE and Ethics, Spinoza affirms substance as the outcome of a search for salvation. He could not have held that a postulate or presupposition, even if thought necessary, can save man through abstract entailment. Indeed, salvation depends on “the quality of the object to which we cling with love”, the object being “the eternal and infinite thing” (TdlE 8–10).

Abstract:
This paper compares J. W. Montgomery’s evidentialist approach to apologetics to Cornelius Van Til’s presuppositional approach. My position is that Van Til’s system is only theistic; it may support the existence of ‘God,’ but it does not prove the existence of the Christian God. In fact, Van Til’s method could just as easily be used by a Muslim apologist to assert the validity of Islam. This is because Van Til refuses to allow objective evidence to have any place in Christian apologetics. Because of this, he offers the non-theist no way of judging between the truth claims of Christianity and other religions. In fact, the most powerful weapon in the Christian apologist’s arsenal, the resurrection of Christ, cannot be used in an effective manner. This is in direct contradiction to the New Testament itself, where the resurrection is often used evidentially to validate the Christian faith.

Abstract:
One of the factors in the emergence of radicalism is the misinterpretation of the Scriptures and the weak theological education in the family. Parents as the primary and first educators in fact tend to leave their assignments to other parties who do not necessarily educate their children properly. The impact of this bad and incorrect theological education tends to form a mindset of exclusivism and rejecting inclusivism that creates intolerant people, considers all who do not have the same opinion and belief as the address of violence that must be eradicated. The family, both in the Old and New Testament times, in this case the parents, has the obligation and responsibility to educate children to understand the essence of God properly and correctly to His people. This article uses the mix methods method by collecting data on 30 (thirty) members of the Whatsapp Group STM Marsiurupan Sipoholon District which aims to describe 5 (five) theological educational content in Christian families as a preventive foundation for radicalism, especially radicalism in the name of religion in a descriptive qualitative method. 5 (five) theological educational contents are (1) Educating children to understand the Scriptures properly and correctly; (2) Understanding the essence of One God; (3) Understanding the essence of God as a savior, (4) Understanding the essence of God as a preserver; and (5) Understanding the essence of God as loving and compassionate.

Abstract:
Glucose oxidase (GOD) can be inactivated by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) produced during glucose oxidation; thus, H2O2 is a competitive inhibitor of GOD. In this mechanism, methionine (Met), a sulfur-containing amino acid, can be oxidized by H2O2and converted into methionine sulfoxide, thereby inactivating GOD. In this study, to block GOD oxidation, the two-dimensional structures of three mutants were designed with computer-aided analysis, and the complex structures of GOD mutants and their substrate glucose were determined using the CDOCKER algorithm. Three mutant GODs and the wild-type GOD were expressed in Pichia pastoris. After purification, the activities and anti-oxidation capacities were evaluated. The activity of GOD was decreased substantially from 3.24 U/μg in the wild-type protein to 0.05 U/μg in the GOD-M523L-M524L mutant; in contrast, the activity of GOD-M524L-M528L was not different from that of the wild-type protein. Because the activity of GOD-M523L-M524L was negligible, we did not evaluate its anti-oxidative effects. However, the mutant GOD-M524L-M528L had better anti-oxidation capacity than the wild-type GOD. These results were consistent with the results of computer-aided analysis, suggesting that this method may be useful for enzyme structure optimization.

Abstract:
The doctrine of the trinity has generated a lot of controversies down the centuries among New Testament scholars. The problem generated by scholars to dissect the Personhood of God has resulted in various shades of interpretations on the relationship between God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is against this background that this paper seeks to examine Paul’s understanding of the Holy Spirit viewed against the backdrop of the doctrine of the Trinity. This study adopted the textual critical method to examine the various nuances of Paul’s allusion to the Holy Spirit with a view to situating them within a proper understanding of the concept of the trinity. The author discovered that for Paul there is no personality distinction between God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, since man encounters these “persons” in the spiritual realm. Applying the hermeneutical method of contextual interpretation, the author is of the opinion that for the African, conceptualizing God within the realm of the Spirithood of God would be a more practical way of describing the activities of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit than the Western conceptualization of the Three Persons in on Godhead.

The relationship between humans and God has been one of great interest to scholars throughout the ages (Snow, McMinn, Bufford, & Brenlinger, 2011). This study analyzed urban youth ministry workers' experiences of crisis and the impact of these experiences on their relationships with God. Participants were interviewed, and interview transcriptions were coded using the Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR) method. Two major categories emerged to describe participants' posture in relation to God: “posture toward God” and “posture away from God.” Additionally, ten subcategories emerged. Issues related to theodicy and feelings of distance from God were explored, along with experiences of trust and intimacy with God. Sub-categories were further analyzed for distinctions correlated with participants' ethnic background. Results suggested that the postures of anger, confusion and tension were noteworthy, as ethnic group differences in report of these experiences were apparent. Recommendations for further research and implications for clinical practice were offered.

The research method in writing this scientific paper is a qualitative method with an exegetical study approach. The interpretation method used is the terms and steps of biblical interpretation, so the steps used by researchers are as follows: book recognition, text analysis, textual criticism by comparing opinions of experts and analyzing them, comparison of translations, general context and specific context, general context, special context, form criticism, literary criticism, sitz im leben, verse by verse interpretation, overall interpretation and the scope. As a result of the exegetical study of Matthew 6: 25-34, concerns in the lives of Christians is a teaching of Jesus to strengthen the belief of Christians to put their hope in Jesus.Worry only exists in people who do not know God, and people who often feel anxious are grouped in people who lack faith and belief that God is the only helper and the way of salvation. God has provided everything for humans and humans do not need to think about what will happen tomorrow, but Christians must adopt a good lifestyle every day and they need not think or worry about an uncertain future. Because tomorrow has its own prosperity and only God knows what will happen tomorrow. Jesus wants Christians to seek God's kingdom and God's truth, which means to be obedient and faithful to God. If Christians have sought the kingdom of God, God will provide what is needed by His people. Keyword : Worry

As the depiction of God "Ngadeg Pangawak Teja" which means standing upright with the light, or God is the light path for human life. This Serat is a hymn used by Sunan Kalijaga in Islamizing Java. Furthermore, it contains religious values regarding the seeking of God as a Creator and paths to be united towards God (manunggal marang Gusti). Abstract:
The problem in this paper lies in the polemic that arises in the understanding of double predestination, especially regarding the theological dilemmas in it. On the one hand, God is described as a cruel and inhuman God when only choosing some people to be saved, and on the other hand Christian doctrine recognizes that God does indeed choose some people to love. The purpose of writing this essay is to prove that a comprehensive approach can reduce theological dilemmas and conflicts when discussing the formulation of predestination. The research method used is literature study, by describing the core of Calvin's double predestination and reviewing it by involving the interrelated attributes of God. The results of this study prove that when the concept of predestination is reviewed by involving the attributes of God as a whole, it appears that God cannot be called an arrogant God when choosing humans in the project of salvation.

AbstractAugustine’s account in the Confessions Book IX of his ecstasy at Ostia remains unsurpassed in its poetic force, yet unusual, as a description of religious experience, in two particular respects. First of all, what he describes is not a “vision” of God, but an experience of listening. Second, it is not a solitary but a shared experience (e.g., with his mother, Monica). This essay considers the significance of these two elements by analyzing the relation between his description in Book IX and the understanding of rhythm that he develops in De musica. Drawing also on Book X (on memory) and Book XI (on time-consciousness) in the Confessions, I investigate a particular type of flowing memory – what I call, “perfect” memory – that characterizes the temporally ordered movements of musical rhythm, showing that it is in this type of memory that Augustine finds God.

Abstract:
Belief in a Supreme Being is an idea that virtually all cultures of the world subscribe to. However, different interpretation could be deduced from the subscriptions. The Yoruba, for example, in Nigeria, is not an exception to this. Olodumare the Yoruba word for Supreme Being has attracted comments, interpretations and misinterpretations from different scholars of both Yoruba and non-Yoruba extractions. For instance, E. Bolaji Idowu, John Ayotunde Bewaji, Kazeem Ademola Fayemi, Kola Abimbola analyses manifest some seemingly contradictions which was hinged upon by Benson O. Igboin, in his paper “Is Olodumare, God in Yoruba Belief, God?” From their explanation, Igboin demand for the true nature of Olodumare having conceded that Olodumare and the Christian God are not and cannot be the same. Specifically, Igboin asked Olodumare, who are you? This paper, therefore, provides an insight to the real nature of Olodumare in Yoruba worldview. It argues that God is nothing other than the English meaning or interpretation of the Supreme Being. The paper posits that Igboin’s pairs of Esu and Olodumare of which one is true and faithful to Yoruba traditional Religion and the other true and faithful to Christianity in Yoruba land does not hold water. Using analytical method of philosophical inquiry, the paper concludes that Olodumare in Yoruba traditional Religion cannot be equated with the concept of God as conceived in Christianity neither could it be bifurcated. Hence, Olodumare is not necessarily God as conceived in Christian thought, but he is sufficiently a Supreme Being in Yoruba theology.
