Abstract:
The main goal of this research is to analyze and design a database configuration of migration and replication in PT Metro Batavia. Research methodologies used in this research are data collecting, analysis and design model. Data collecting method is conducted with library research and direct survey in the company. Analysis method is conducted by analyzing hangar system, migration and reflection process and the available problems. Design method is conducted by designing a prototype for migration process with the implementation of Oracle SQL Developer and replication process with implementation of Oracle Golden Gate. The result of this research is a prototype for configuration of migration and replication process by using Oracle Golden Gate, which can produce two sets of identical data for the purpose of backup and recovery, and also design a simple tool that is expected to help active-active or active-passive replication process. The conclusion of this research is migration process of MySQL database to Oracle database by using Oracle Golden Gate hasn’t been conducted, because Oracle Golden Gate still has bug related to binary log, so database of migration is conducted by using Oracle Golden Gate. However, replication of bi-directional in between database of Oracle by using Oracle SQL Developer can guarantee data availability and reduce work burden from primary database.

Abstract:
Golden Gate Ferry commuters consider speed as the paramount issue in ferry service. Since the Golden Gate Ferry’s introduction in September 1998, ferry patrons have consistently chosen to ride the fleet’s sole high-speed catamaran, MV Del Norte, even though survey respondents have said that this ferry is less comfortable than others. The unprecedented popularity of the new service, coupled with commuter unwillingness to use ferry feeders, has resulted in the terminal’s parking lot being overburdened. This parking problem initially resulted in lower midday ridership and indirect negative effects on the system’s overall efficiency. The addition of the catamaran to its passenger ferry fleet enabled Golden Gate Ferry to increase Larkspur-to-San Francisco service from 26 to 40 weekday trips. Operating at 35 knots, this vessel reduced transbay crossing time from 45 to 30 minutes. The enhanced service attracted new riders and dramatically changed peak period ridership times, inverting the ridership curve. However, the catamaran carries 325 passengers, about one-half of the other ferries’ capacities. This limitation has resulted in unmet demand on certain commuting trips and overflow of the ferry parking facilities as passengers arrive early to board the fast boat. Golden Gate Ferry has identified two possible means of encouraging the use of ferry feeder services and decreasing the demand for the limited parking capacity: guaranteed boarding for ferry feeder patrons and enhancement of the feeder services. These first steps are crucial to smooth ferry service operations as Golden Gate Ferry prepares for the arrival of its next fast ferry in 2001.

Abstract:
Aim. Creation of genetic constructions to study the effects of various regulatory elements, namely promoters, on the expression of GFP reporter protein. Methods. For creation genetic constructs, the method of molecular cloning Golden Gate was used, which allows the rapid creation of genetic vectors using IIS type restriction enzymes and T4 DNA liga-ses. Results. For research six different promoters were selected, namely the 35S CaMV (Cauliflower Mosaic Virus), double 35S CaMV promoter, promoters of the RbcS2B and RbcS1B genes encoding a small subunit of ribulozobisphosphate carboxylase (RuBisCo) isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh.; promoters of genes encoding chlorophyll a-b binding proteins (LHB1B1 and LHB1B2) also isolated from A. thaliana (L.) Heynh. All transcription units additionally contained the following elements: the 5'-untranslated region Ω sequence (5’UTR Ω) from the tobacco mosaic virus TMV (Tobacco Mosaic Virus); the coding sequence of the gene gfp (Green Fluorescent Protein) isolated from A. victoria and the 35S Terminator CaMV with the polyadenylation signal and the 3'-untranslated region sequence. As a result, six genetic constructs with different regulatory elements, namely promoters, have been created. Conclusions. To study the effects of various regulatory elements, namely promoters, on the expression of a GFP repor-ter protein in transient or stable genetic transformation of plants the created genetic constructs can be used. Keywords: cloning, genetic constructs, promoters, Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP).

Abstract:
Suicides from popular venues (known as “hotspots”) are often publicized and may result in imitation by subsequent suicides that may lead to clustering of the suicides over time. In order to examine whether the suicides from the Golden Gate Bridge showed clustering, data from the 224 suicides during 1999–2009 were analyzed using the Anderson-Darling Test was run on the data against a null hypothesis of a negative exponential distribution (as would be generated by a homogenous Poisson process). It was found that the data were almost a perfect fit for the Poisson distribution and so showed no evidence of clustering beyond that expected to occur by chance alone. This indicates that there was no imitation or contagion in the suicides from the Golden Gate Bridge.

Abstract:
Non-Californians rarely refer to the Golden State as a sacred place or religious landscape. Yet, California fascinates, in part, due to its religious extravagance–think Jim Jones, Heavens Gate, the Crystal Cathedral, Harold Camping’s predicted end of the world, the Grateful Dead. Everything is here, and then some. This essay looks at California as an epicenter of religious expression and a global microcosm for hybrid religions, new religions, and experimental religious practices. The essay analyzes migration, the California/Mexico border, genders/sexualities, race/ethnicity, commercialization, embodiment/disembodiment, and the natural world as lenses on California’s religious landscape.

This article explores memorials placed in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park in the aftermath of World War I, with an emphasis on those of a botanical nature. Historical, general, and local inspirations behind creation of the memorials are discussed. A detailed description of the development of the park's three memorial groves follows. Context for the creation of the memorial groves is provided through discussion of related local events. Other in-park and local memorials to those who fell in World War I are also covered.
