Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento CientÃfico e TecnolÃgico<br>nÃo hÃ<br>A presente tese tem como foco a valorizaÃÃo da CosmovisÃo Africana no Ãmbito escolar em situaÃÃo de formaÃÃo de professores. Sua relevÃncia justifica-se legalmente a partir de 9 de janeiro de 2003, quando o entÃo presidente da RepÃblica, Luiz InÃcio Lula da Silva, promulga a Lei N. 10.639/2003, que versa sobre a inclusÃo do ensino da HistÃria e da Cultura Africana e Afro-Brasileira nas escolas de ensino bÃsico. Aos professores, cabe o cumprimento do disposto legal. Contudo, apesar do que versa citada a lei, os docentes nÃo tiveram, de um modo geral, em sua formaÃÃo inicial, a preparaÃÃo adequada para as exigÃncias da articulaÃÃo de tais conteÃdos em sua prÃtica educativa. PorÃm, a ResoluÃÃo CNE/CP NÂ. 01/2004 orienta que Ã responsabilidade das InstituiÃÃes de Ensino Superior oportunizar a formaÃÃo inicial e continuada de professores, assim como realizar atividades de ensino, pesquisa e extensÃo sobre o tema. Inspirada pelos elementos expostos, resolvi realizar um curso de formaÃÃo para professores no estado do PiauÃ articulando a trÃade ensino, pesquisa e extensÃo, uma vez que sou professora da Universidade Federal daquele estado, na cidade de Floriano, local da pesquisa de campo. Trata-se de uma pesquisa-formaÃÃo com influÃncia da pesquisa-aÃÃo e da sociopoÃtica a partir dos fundamentos do aporte teÃrico-metodolÃgico intitulado Pret@gogia. A FormaÃÃo aconteceu durante o perÃodo letivo de 2011 e 2012 na Escola Municipal EleutÃrio Rezende e sua execuÃÃo deu-se como projeto de extensÃo universitÃria contando com quatro bolsistas envolvidos. Seu principal objetivo foi promover o curso de formaÃÃo para professoras do Ensino Fundamental I, objetivando a valorizaÃÃo do tema gerador âCosmovisÃo Africanaâ. Realizamos sete mÃdulos durante os quais professoras, pesquisadora e bolsistas do projeto de extensÃo estudaram, elaboraram e aplicaram planos de aÃÃo interventivos para a formaÃÃo das professoras. Estas, por sua vez, reeditaram suas propostas pedagÃgicas e curriculares transformando o espaÃo escolar em territÃrio de valorizaÃÃo da cosmovisÃo africana a partir da articulaÃÃo teÃrico-metodolÃgica de seus princÃpios fundamentais. AlÃm dessa constataÃÃo, a anÃlise das aÃÃes interventivas tambÃm nos revelou o potencial transformador-pedagÃgico de uma pesquisa-formaÃÃo, sobretudo na perspectiva da autoformaÃÃo para todas nÃs envolvidas no processo. A pesquisa tambÃm estÃ ancorada em um referencial teÃrico-metodolÃgico em fase de gestaÃÃo pelo nÃcleo das Africanidades Cearenses da UFC, o qual ajudo a elaborar e aplicar no Ãmbito da pesquisa e do ensino intitulado Pret@gogia. Esse aporte orienta-se pelos princÃpios da ancestralidade e da oralidade presentes na cosmovisÃo africana. Elaborei um estilo particular de escrita. Arrisco-me na criaÃÃo de personagens, que chamo de meus âeusâ ancestrais. Eles narram a pesquisa a partir de contos em enredos que procuram articular a exigÃncia cientÃfica necessÃria a uma pesquisa Ã escrita literÃria e Ã tradiÃÃo oral da cosmovisÃo africana.<br>This thesis focuses on the enhancement of African Worldview in the school situation in teacher training. Its relevance is justified legally from January 9, 2003, when the then president, Luiz InÃcio Lula da Silva, promulgates the Law N. 10.639/2003, which concerns the inclusion of the teaching of History and Culture of African and Afro - Brazilian in primary schools. Teachers, it is compliance with law. However, despite what the law cited versa, teachers did not have, in general, in their initial training, adequate preparation for the demands of articulation of such content in their educational practice. However, the CNE / CP no. 01 /2004 instructs that it is the responsibility of higher education institutions nurture the initial and continuing training of teachers, as well as carry out teaching, research and outreach on the topic. Inspired by the elements exposed, I decided to conduct a training course for teachers in the state of PiauÃ articulating the triad teaching, research and extension, since I am a professor at the Federal University of PiauÃ, in the city of Floriano, local field research. It is a researchtraining to influence the action research and sociopoÃtica from the fundamentals of theoretical and methodological titled Pret@gogia. The training took place during the school year of 2011 and 2012 at the Municipal School Eleuterio Rezende and his execution took place as university extension numbering four fellows involved. Its main objective was to promote the training course for teachers of elementary school, aiming at the enhancement of generator theme "African Worldview" We conducted seven modules, during which teachers, researcher and scholars extension project studied, developed and implemented action plans for interventional training of teachers. These in turn reissued their pedagogical and curricular transforming the school into the territory of valuing African worldview through the articulation of its theoretical and methodological principles. In addition to this finding, analysis of interventive actions also revealed in the transformative potential of research - teaching â training, particularly in view of the self-training for all of us involved in the process. The research is also grounded in a theoretical- methodological phase of pregnancy the nucleus of Africanidades Cearenses - UFC and I help develop and implement in the context of research and teaching titled pret@gogia. This contribution is guided by the principles of ancestry and orality present in the African worldview. Elaborated a particular style of writing. I venture in creating characters, which I call my "I" s ancestors. They narrate tales from research plots in seeking to articulate the scientific rigor required a survey of literary writing and oral tradition of the African worldview.

Abstract:

How do Australian jazz guitarists create their unique arrangements of jazz songs in the context of solo performance? This research focuses on the methods of three prominent Australian jazz guitarists – George Golla, Jim Kelly and James Muller. They are representatives of three different generations and their music reflects trends and stylistic influences in the evolution of jazz music. Through the analysis of their song interpretations and interviews I have revealed a range of methods for the juxtaposition of melody and harmony on the guitar.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to describe, analyze and evaluate the rhetorical strategies within Golda Meir's address to the Council of Jewish Federations on January 21, 1948. Using a critical construct that combined Kenneth Burke's concepts of rhetorical strategy and identification, the study provided insight into how Meir created bonds with her audience that heightened her rhetorical effectiveness. Three rhetorical strategies and two intrinsic factors which promoted identification were evident. Based on the success of these strategies to overcome the many obstacles presented by the rhetorical situation, and the response of her audience, it seemed that Meir's rhetoric motivated the Council to move from apathy to advocacy.

Abstract:

The Air Power theories of today are often written from a superior air force perspective where the overall focus is on the offensive nature of Air Power. Very little is spoken about Air Power and its defensive role as well as the inferior states opportunities against superior opponents. A state that successfully has used Air Power through history is Israel. During both the Six Day War in 1967 and Yom Kippur in 1973, Israel faced superior opponents consisting of a coalition of Arab states, including Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq. Despite Israel being the initially inferior state during both wars, they managed to gain initiative against the superior Arab states. This study will set the Air Power theories of Philip S Meilinger to a test through a validation process against two cases, the Six Day War in 1967 and Yom Kippur in 1973. The aim is to analyse the Israeli air force during these two wars. The main goal is to try to explain how inferior states can succeed against superior opponents through Air Power. The result of the study demonstrates that an inferior state has the opportunity to achieve success through Air Power against superior opponents. The analyses of Meilingers theories indicates that high readiness, early employment of forces, use of Air Powers psychological effect and timing constitutes successful factors in gaining initiative. An additional important factor for achieving success through these variables is highly relevant intelligence.

>Magister Scientiae - MSc<br>This thesis aims at developing a sorting code for Coulomb excitation studies at iThemba LABS. In Coulomb excitation reactions, the inelastic scattering of the projectile transfers energy to the partner nucleus (and vice-versa) through a time-dependent electromagnetic field. At energies well below the Coulomb barrier, the particles interact solely through the well known electromagnetic interaction, thereby excluding nuclear excitations from the process . The data can therefore be analyzed using a semiclassical approximation. The sorting code was used to process and analyze data acquired from the Coulomb excitation of 20Ne beams at 73 and 96 MeV, onto a 194Pt target. The detection of gamma rays was done using the AFRODITE HPGe clover detector array, which consists of nine clover detectors, in coincidence with the 20Ne particles detected with an S3 double-sided silicon detector. The new sorting code includes Doppler-correction effects, charge-sharing, energy and time conditions, kinematics and stopping powers, among others, and can be used for any particle-γ coincidence measurements at iThemba LABS. Results from other Coulomb excitation measurements at iThemba LABS will also be presented.

Assim, em programas de melhoramento genético, é crescente o uso de marcadores moleculares dispostos em matrizes de alta densidade, que necessitam de controle de qualidade e uso de metodologias adequadas para realizar a predição dos valores genéticos. Diante do exposto este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar o software Golias, que é um software livre destinado ao processamento de dados de marcadores SNPs de alta dimensão. O Golias é integrado com os ambientes de programação R e Julia, utilizando o poder de processamento da linguagem Júlia e de pacotes do R otimizados em código C. Todas as análises são realizadas sem fazer necessário que o usuário tenha qualquer conhecimento em programação. O software proposto dispõe de procedimentos para o controle de qualidade de SNPs como call rate, MAF, teste de equilíbrio de Hardy-Weinberg, descarte de variáveis via componentes principais, um procedimento para imputação de informações genotípicas perdidas e algumas técnicas de predição utilizando métodos bayesianos. Thus, in genetic breeding programs is increasing the use of molecular markers arranged in high density matrices which require quality control and the use of appropriate methodologies to predict genetic values. The work aims to present the Golias software that is a free software for processing data from high- size SNPs. Golias is integrated with the R and Julia programming environments, using the processing power of the Júlia language and R-optimized C-packets. All analyzes are performed without making it necessary for the user to have any programming knowledge. The proposed software has procedures for quality control of SNPs such as call rate, MAF, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium test, variables discarding via principal components, a procedure for imputation of lost genotype information and some prediction techniques using Bayesian methods. Abstract:

Six different nations have claimed sovereignty over some or all of the current state of Texas. In the early nineteenth century, Spain ruled Texas. Then Mexico rebelled against Spain, and from 1821 to 1836 Texas was a Mexican province. In 1836, Texas Anglo settlers rebelled against Mexican rule and established a separate republic. The early Anglo settlers brought their form of civilization to a region that the Spanish had not been able to subdue for three centuries. They defeated a professional army and eventually overwhelmed Native American tribes who wished to maintain their way of life without inference from intruding Anglo settlers. This history fostered a people who consider themselves capable of doing anything—an exceptional population imbued with a fierce sense of nationalistic and local rooted in the mythic memoirs of the first Anglo settlers. The purpose of this study is to explore the origin and development of Texan exceptionalist beliefs. The “taming of the Texas wilderness,” the Alamo, the defeat of Santa Anna at San Jacinto, the formation of a republic that earned recognition by major foreign powers, Stephen F. Austin, Davy Crockett, William Travis, are all elements in the great Texas myth. From the letters and documents of the early settlers, the extensive papers of Stephen F. Austin, the war papers of the Texas Revolution, newspapers of the era, and other sources, it is apparent that the early Texas settler did not come to Texas for any altruistic purpose. Texas provided a second chance for many who had been previously unsuccessful and an opportunity to gain riches from the extensive land bounty granted by the Mexican government. This research provides additional depth to a neglected part of Texas history. Removing the mystique of the Texas legend reveals a far more colorful and complex period. These early Texans were a complex, divided, greedy, racist people who changed the course of the United States and established a legend that has withstood the test of time.

Abstract:

Varför lyckas vissa underlägsna aktörer segra mot betydligt starkare motståndare i krig? En klassisk förklaring är att svaga vinner genom långdragna gerillakrig. Forskningen har dock svårt att förklara varför underlägsna vinner korta krig och vad som är skillnaden mellan svaga som vinner korta respektive långa krig. Syftet med denna studie är att utveckla och pröva en teori som kan förklara varför svaga aktörer når framgång i både korta och långa krig. Forskningsfrågorna besvaras genom en hypotetisk-deduktiv teoriprövande fallstudie av Libanonkriget 2006 och Vietnamkriget 1965–1973. Analysen visar att svaga aktörer som kombinerar adekvat fysisk kapacitet med både stark vilja att strida och hög militär skicklighet utsätter den starka aktören för ett så pass svårt militärt dilemma att denne efterhand väljer att avsluta kriget. Slutsatsen är att kombinationen av rätt fysisk kapacitet, stark vilja att strida och hög militär skicklighet är en förutsättning för att svaga aktörer ska nå framgång i kontinentala styrkeasymmetriska krig. Studien visar även att det är samma övergripande mekanismer som bidrar till att svaga aktörer når framgång i både korta och långa krig, men att det är de specifika detaljerna inom respektive del som utgör skillnaden.

Striderna genomfördes också under svåra klimatförhållanden medmycket låga dygnstemperaturer och rikligt med snö.Syftet med uppsatsen är att med utgångspunkt i den teoretiska modellen om de sex grundläggandeförmågorna, ledning, underrättelser och information, verkan, skydd, rörlighet och uthållighet,identifiera orsakerna till de stora finska framgångarna på taktisk nivå i ovan nämndaterräng. Detta har gjorts genom att genomföra två fallstudier av den finska 9:e divisionen ochdess agerande vid två olika krigsskådeplatser. Studierna omfattar tidpunkten då 9:e divisionenpåbörjade sin verksamhet mot den längs Raatevägen framryckande sovjetiska 44:e divisionenden 11 december 1939 intill krigsslutet den 13 mars 1940.Analysen visar att det finska agerandet var präglat av en balans mellan de olika förmågorna. Desovjetiska förbanden hade också svårt att påverka de finska förmågorna utifrån sitt agerande.Avslutningsvis diskuteras resultatet av den genomförda analysen gentemot de inledande frågeställningarna.Ett antal slutsatser dras och ett antal nya frågeställningar förs fram.<br>In the Winter War between Finland and the Soviet Union in 1939 Finnish units achieved greatsuccess on a tactical level in the battles in northern Finland. The terrain at the front north ofthe lake Ladoga was characterized by a limited infrastructure with very few roads. The combatat the northern front was very difficult to conduct because of the extremely unfavourableclimatic conditions, with very low temperatures and overabundant snow.The main purpose of this essay is to identify the causes behind the great Finnish success on atactical level in a terrain with bad infrastructure. This essay will examine the following threequestions:• Which capacities were especially important for the Finnish success?• How did the Soviet capacities influence the results Finland achieved in the battles?• The six capacities interact with each other. How did Finnish action demonstrate this?The method for this study has been to use the dynamic model of the six capacities describedin Swedish military doctrines: command and control, mobility, protection, effect, intelligenceand staying power. This dynamic model has been used to analyse two case studies of the actionof the Finnish 9th Division. The study begins when the 9th Division begins to take actionagainst the advancing Soviet 44th Division on the Raateroad in December 1939 to the end ofthe war in March 1940. The results of this analysis will be discussed in the conclusion of thisessay. Some conclusions from the analysis and some new research questions will also be presented.The study shows that Finnish action was characterised by a balance between the differentcapacities. The 9th Division was very successful in its action against the capacities of the differentSoviet divisions. Moreover, the Soviet units encountered difficulties reacting againstthe Finnish capacities. Abstract:

This paper explores the rhetoric and actions of Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir, and Indira Gandhi regarding feminism and their gender before they became prime minister. The paper finds that none of the leaders identified as feminists, and did not actively focus on women’s issues or elevate the status of women while in office. Yet, all of these leaders called for women to mobilize and pursue careers, either via their actions or speeches. Thatcher, particularly in the crucial period in which she rose to power, explicitly encouraged women to mobilize as voters and pursue work outside the home in her formal speeches, public statements, letters and interviews. Through their organized activities before they obtained office, Meir and Gandhi worked to mobilize women politically, although their rhetoric did not explicitly encourage women over men to participate politically. The paper explores nuanced ways that each leader associated with her gender and preached for other women to pursue careers. Looking ahead at one case study shows that women now are not necessarily averse to explicitly associating with their gender. Tzipi Livni, the candidate for the Kadima Party in the 2009 Israeli election, used her gender as a campaign tactic. Hopefully this paper helps lay the groundwork for future study on women candidate’s rhetoric and actions regarding feminism before they are elected.

I november 2015 avgjordes en tvist mellan havredrycksproducenten Oatly och branschorganisationen Svensk Mjölk i Marknadsdomstolen. Svensk Mjölk stämde Oatly eftersom de ansåg att deras marknadsföring var vilseledande. Stämningen ledde till att Oatly dömdes till förbud för marknadsföring som antyder att havremjölk är ett bättre val än komjölk. Denna studies syfte är att undersöka hur tvisten påverkat Oatlys lojala kunders varumärkesuppfattning utifrån begreppet brand image. För att undersöka detta genomfördes en kvalitativ studie med 18 konsumenter som representerat Oatlys lojala kunder: veganer, vegetarianer, laktosintoleranta och mjölkallergiker. Deras uppfattningar undersöktes utifrån teorier om Cause Related Marketing, negativ publicitet och självkongruens hos konsumenter. Majoriteten av respondenternas uppfattningar av Oatly har förbättrats efter tvisten, framförallt för att de ansåg att Oatly var i underläge och att de stod upp för en samhällsfråga. Studiens resultat tyder på att ett företag som upplevs vara en underdog kan undvika att ta skada från negativ publicitet.

The adoption of new technologies is the study motivation for a great number of marketing authors, such as Parasuraman e Colby (2001) who have developed a methodology called Technology Readiness Index (TRI) to identify the readiness of people to adopt technologic products and services. From the point of view of this methodology, the objective of this research is to identify the readiness of the students / clients of business school of Fucamp in order to adopt the new strategies of learningteaching, specially, a business game. This study has exploratory and descriptive character and by using the Factorial Analisys, it was possible to identify the most important variables to adopt this technology, associated to three dimensions: optimism, inovativeness and readiness. This research indicates the possibility of future studies of casual character, provided of a bigger range in the learning area of business.<br>A adoção de novas tecnologias é motivação de estudo para inúmeros autores de Marketing, como Parasuraman e Colby (2001) que desenvolveram uma metodologia denominada Technology Readiness Index (TRI) para identificar a prontidão dos indivíduos a adotar produtos e serviços tecnológicos. A partir dessa metodologia, o objetivo desse estudo é identificar a prontidão dos clientes/alunos do curso de administração da Fucamp para a adoção de novas estratégias de ensino-aprendizagem, particularmente, um jogo de empresas. O estudo tem caráter exploratório e descritivo e a partir do emprego da Análise Fatorial, foi possível identificar as variáveis consideradas mais importantes para a adoção dessa tecnologia, associadas a três dimensões: otimismo, inovatividade e prontidão. Abstract:

In 1943 occupied Yugoslavia became the scene of ferocious fighting on a large scale as axis forces launched two major anti-guerrilla operations, codenamed “Weiss” and “Schwartz”, in an all-out effort to put an end to the Yugoslav communist resistance. Despite the axis being massively superior in material terms, sometimes even outnumbering their opponents by six to one, both operations ended in failure as the partisans managed to fight their way out of the German trap. Scholarly research concerning these operations almost exclusively aims to explain their outcome by examining German mistakes, while far lessresearch has been conducted with the intent of examining the outcome of the operations from a partisan perspective. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the partisan success during these operations can be explained by them using the set of methods of force employment which Stephen Biddle calls “the modern system”, and thereby make a first attempt at explaining the outcome of the operations on the tactical and operational level from a partisan point of view. The result of this study shows that the partisan success indeed can be explained by Biddles theory, at least to some extent, but that a more comprehensive study would need to be conducted to fully verify these claims. The study has thus fulfilled its purpose and provides a small but important contribution to the scholarly debate upon which further research can be conducted concerning the partisan successes during 1943.

Para tal, utiliza-se da analogia bíblica da batalha entre Golias e Davi, estando de um lado o capital global na figura das empresas transnacionais e do outro uma aliança de proteção e defesa dos Direitos Humanos, composta por organizações não governamentais, coletivos e movimentos sociais, ativistas e outros atores. A análise pretendida se constrói sob orientação da Teoria Neogramsciana de Relações Internacionais, propondo-se a desenvolver uma perspectiva histórica e crítica aos processos em curso atualmente na ONU na implementação de um marco normativo internacional para responsabilização de empresas transnacionais por violações de Direitos Humanos, quais sejam o Grupo de Trabalho das Nações Unidas sobre Empresas e Direitos Humanos e os fóruns internacionais organizados anualmente para debate da temática, e o Tratado Internacional na área, que teve processo de elaboração deflagrado em junho de 2014 com a aprovação da Resolução 26/9 no Conselho de Direitos Humanos da ONU.<br>This paper aims to realize an analysis of the United Nations Agenda on Human Rights and Business. With this purpose, it uses the biblical analogy of the battle between Golias and David, standing in one side the global capital, represented by the transnational corporations and, at the other side, a global alliance for human rights defense and protection, composed of NGOs, social collectives and movements, activists and other actors. The intended analysis is built under orientation of the Neogramscian Theory of International Relations, and proposes to develop a historical and critical perspective of the current processes at the UN for the implementation of an international normative mark to have transnational corporations accountable for human rights violations. These processes are the activities of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights and the international forums organized annually to debate the theme, and the International Treaty, which had its elaboration process triggered in June 2014 with the approval of the Resolution 26/9 at the UN Human Rights Council.

Bakgrund: Sociala medier ses ha en kraftfull effekt vad det gäller spridning av budskap. Det digitala landskapet skapar nya förutsättningar för företag att interagera med sina intressenter. På senare år har socialt ansvar inom näringslivet kommit att ligga i hetluften och ses alltmer som en skyldighet. För företag i alkoholindustrin ses en motsättning mellan att ta ett socialt ansvar med fokus på ansvarsfull konsumtion och att sända ut budskap för att sälja och ha ett vinstdrivande syfte. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att pröva följande tes; Som företag, inom en bransch som säljer produkter som kan vara skadlig för hälsan och skapa ett beroende går det att använda sociala medier som verktyg för att hantera paradoxen; marknadsföring för försäljning och att ta ett aktivt socialt ansvar, avgränsat till ansvarsfull konsumtion. Genomförande: Genom personliga intervjuer kartläggs ölproducenterna Carlsberg Sverige samt Spendrups generella syn på socialt ansvar och sociala medier samt hur de arbetar med dessa idag och ser på framtiden och de möjligheter som ges där. Teori: Med empiriskt material som grund argumenteras det för och emot tesen med hjälp av teorier inom socialt ansvar, paradoxhantering samt kommunikationsteorier för spridning av budskap för att avgöra huruvida den är att anses som styrkt eller ej. Slutsats: Tesen anses som styrkt givet att företaget hanterar paradoxen genom att separera motsättningarna på olika nivåer, ser till det delade värdet mellan företaget och samhället, tillämpar en proaktiv strategi och utnyttjar sin kompetens inom kommersiell marknadsföring.<br>Background: The diffusion of messages through social media is considered effect full. Today’s digital landscape creates new prerequisites for companies to interact with their stake holders. Social responsibility has come to be a hot topic and is looked upon as mandatory for companies. A contradiction can be seen in the alcohol industry when companies are initiating actions to be socially responsible, but at the same time communicate marketing messages for increased sales. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to test the following thesis; as a company, in an industry that offers products that may negatively affect health and cause addiction, it is possible to use social media as a tool to manage the paradox; active social responsibility and marketing for increased sales, limited to the area of responsible drinking. Method: Through personal interviews, this study maps out the brewery companies Carlsberg Sweden and Spendrup’s general view of social responsibility and social media, how they work with the concepts today as well as their view of future possibilities. Theory: With empirical materials at hand, and a theoretical framework consisting of social responsibility theories, paradox management and theories of diffusion of communication, this study will argue for both sides of our thesis strength. Conclusions: Our thesis is strengthened given that the companies manage the contradiction by separating each pole at different levels, acknowledge the shared value between the company and the society, apply a proactive strategy and use its competences in commercial marketing.
