Abstract:
This article presents a catalogue of books from the private libraries of counts A. I. Osterman, M. G. Golovkin, B.-Ch. Minnich, and baron K. L. Mengden. These books were confiscated after the coup d’état (25 November 1741) as a part of their property and then were transferred to the Library of the Academy of Sciences in accordance with Empress Elizabeth’s order in 1742–43. On 1 December 1741, «The record Commission for Osterman’s and others’ movable property, villages and debt obligations» was established. One of its tasks was to allocate the books to different institutions such as the Collegium of Foreign Affairs and the Library of the Academy of Sciences. The rest of the books were sold. The religious books belonging to A. I. Osterman and M. G. Golovkin were given to the Church of the Resurrection in the grounds of Pokrov Palace in Moscow.

Abstract:
The paper deals with the search and study of the manuscripts from the medieval library of the princes Romodanovsky, preserved in parts in various libraries and archives of Russia. The purpose of this research is to identify and attribute the materials from the collection of the princes Romodanovsky in the holdings of the scientific-research Department of manuscripts of the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences (BAN). Russian historians M.E. Bychkova, A.L. Khoroshkevich and Y.V. Ankhimyuk made the assumptions that separate manuscripts (the genealogical book of M.G. Romodanovsky, the historical digest “The book of cases”, etc.) belonged to the library of princes Romodanovsky. However, until now, these sources in historiography were not considered in the complex, and there was no idea about the existence of the significant volume of books of ancestral library. Within the scope of investigation, the author reviewed and analysed the best part of manuscript collections of count M.G. Golovkin, count A.I. Osterman and other courtiers, seized in 1741—1742 in the result of the charges of treason. Based on the materials from the BAN holdings in the St. Petersburg branch of the Archives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the author restored the circumstances of transfer of the manuscript books from the Confiscation Commission to the Russian Academy of Sciences. The article describes that the great part of the manuscript collection of M.G. Golovkin library is made up of the medieval library of princes Romodanovsky, got there as a heritage of Ekaterina Ivanovna, the wife of count M.G. Golovkin and daughter of I.F. Romodanovsky. The study of the collections of other convicts showed that the Commission made serious mistakes in the description of the books. As a result, the significant part of the collection of M. Golovkin was attributed to the books of Osterman. Thus, in the scientific-research Department of manuscripts of the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences the author identified and attributed more than 15 manuscripts of 17th — beginning of 18th century, which constituted the core of the ancestral library of princes Romodanovsky. The obtained results demonstrate the manuscript tradition of the ruling elite and its book culture in the new way. The paper used such methods as historical, comparative-historical, prosopographic, as well as a number of methods of auxiliary historical disciplines: source studies, historical bibliography, archival heuristics, archeography, palaeography and codicology.

Abstract:
The article addresses written evidence of the Russian-Kalmyk relations in the early 18th century. It is to introduce into scientific use new documentary sources belonging that period when the epistolary written tradition of the Kalmyk nobility was at its apogee. While studying these sources, not only a brief historical description of the period has been provided, but also methods of paleographic identification of manuscripts and archaeographic analysis of the monuments of Old Kalmyk writing have been used. The article publishes transliteration, translation, and two copies of the original letters of Kalmyk Khan Ayuka: one addressed to the Emperor Peter Alekseevich, another to the Chancellor Gavriil Ivanovich Golovkin. Both letters have been found in the Kalmyk Affairs Foundation of the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts. The letters were delivered to Moscow by the Kalmyk embassy led by Hojim (1714). Until now their contents have remained unknown to the wide array of researchers. The documents contain information on the difficult situation on the Russo-Turkish frontier after the signing of the Adrianople Peace Treaty in 1713. Participation of the 20,000 Kalmyk cavalry in the Kuban campaign against the Nogais (1711) incited the latter to retaliate. Kalmyk areas on the Lower Volga were constantly threatened the Kuban Nogais, which forced Ayuka Khan to ask for Russian military assistance. A distinctive feature of these sources is the fact that they are written in the old-Kalmyk writing “Todo bichig” (“clear writing”) and end with a red square stamp granted to Ayuka Khan by Dalai Lama VI in 1698. The letters are phrased in the traditional epistolary genre typical of the official correspondence of the Kalmyk nobility of the time: despite their brevity, they brim with truth, life, dynamism, and tension. Further identification and investigation of the Kalmyk letters in the Russian archives should be a comprehensive effort of various specialists, thus setting a promising trend in the scholarship.

Abstract:
We show that the Adaptive Greedy algorithm of Golovin and Krause achieves an approximation bound of (ln(Q/η)+1) for Stochastic Submodular Cover: here Q is the “goal value” and η is the minimum gap between Q and any attainable utility value Q'<Q. Although this bound was claimed by Golovin and Krause in the original version of their paper, the proof was later shown to be incorrect by Nan & Saligrama. The subsequent corrected proof of Golovin and Krause gives a quadratic bound of (ln(Q/η)+1)2. A bound of 56(ln(Q/η)+1) is implied by work of Im et al. Other bounds for the problem depend on quantities other than Q and η. Our bound restores the original bound claimed by Golovin and Krause, generalizing the well-known (ln m+1) approximation bound on the greedy algorithm for the classical Set Cover problem, where m is the size of the ground set.

Abstract:
<p><strong>Background.</strong> A shortage of donor organs is one of the urgent problems of transplantology. Despite the current level of technology, there are a number of difficult barriers to overcome. Because of the high demand for assisted circulatory devices, the work caused by the creation of the most physiological and biocompatible model of the apparatus, exceptional relevance is provided.</p><p><strong>Aim</strong>. To evaluate the haemolytic properties of the auxiliary circulatory apparatus based on a disk-type pump.</p><p><strong>Methods.</strong> A hydrodynamic bench was created to conduct haemolysis tests of a disk-type pump. The bench consisted of a tank, a heat exchanger, hydrodynamic resistance, connecting tubes, a blood sampling port, a pressure and flow measurement system, and a test pump. The test method consisted of assessing the level of free plasma haemoglobin (pHb) obtained by taking blood samples during pump operation in the operating mode (2300–2500 rpm, 5–6 l/min, pressure drop at the clamp level of 100 mmHg). Standardized haemolysis indices (NIH and MIH) were calculated based on the data obtained. The indices were calculated based on the analysis of free haemoglobin in the plasma of blood samples, haematocrit, total haemoglobin, blood flow, and pump operating time.</p><p><strong>Results.</strong> Bench tests (n = 5) revealed that the average level of free haemoglobin was 2.2 mg/%. This confirms the absolute atraumatic nature of the design of a new type of pump. The calculated values of the haemolysis indices were: NIH - 0.0013 and MIH - 1.88. This proves the fundamental possibility of using a disk-type pump as a basis for creating auxiliary circulatory devices.<br /><strong>Conclusion.</strong> The developed methodology for assessing the mechanical stability of red blood cells allows you to give objective information about one of the most important safety criteria for auxiliary circulatory devices i.e., the level of haemolysis. The results obtained revealed that it is possible and safe to use a disk-type pump as an auxiliary circulatory device.</p><p>Received 16 December 2019. Revised 10 March 2020. Abstract:
Abstract Aircraft observations from the Cirrus Regional Study of Tropical Anvils and Cirrus Layers (CRYSTAL)–Florida Area Cirrus Experiment (FACE) campaign obtained in the anvil of a large convective storm from 26 July 2002 are presented. During this flight a Lagrangian spiral descent was made, allowing the evolution of the ice particle size distribution to be followed. Relative humidities during ∼1 km (from −11° to −3°C) of the descent were within 4% of ice saturation. It was assumed that the ice particle size distribution was evolving through the process of aggregation alone. Three idealized ice–ice collection kernels were used in a model of ice aggregation and compared to the observed ice particle size distribution evolution: a geometric sweep-out kernel, a Golovin (sum of particle masses) kernel, and a modified-Golovin kernel (sum of particle masses raised to a power). The Golovin kernel performed worst. The sweep-out kernel produced good agreement with the observations when a constant aggregation efficiency of 0.09 was used. The modified-Golovin kernel performed the best and implied that the aggregation efficiency of sub-300-μm particles was greater than unity when compared with a geometric sweep-out kernel.

Abstract:
The article examines the issues related to Selenginsk garrison in the 90s XVII century. This period in Dauria is associated with the military reforms of F.A. Golovin after the conclusion of the Treaty of Nerchinsk in 1689. The garrisons of Trans–Baikal forts had a number of problems that had to be solved. Selenginsk warriors got salaries like foot Cossacks, but in fact they performed equestrian services without receiving money from the state for horse service. This circumstance led them to impoverishment and discontent. Selenginsk warriors asked to increase the garrison and pay them higher salaries as for horse Cossacks. F. Golovin granted their request partially – he transferred only one third of people to the equestrian service. Udinsk warriors or «temporary workers» were transferred to Selenginsk for strengthening the military contingent of the fortress. The consequences of this decision indirectly led to a military revolt in 1696. The article compares the personnel of Selenginsk garrison in 1683 and 1693. There is Information about the military services of warriors: D. Mnogogreshny, L. Uvarov (Fedorov), A. Berezovsky, S. Kazants, I. Novikov, S. Krasnoyar and others. The experience of cavalry foundation in the Selenginsk fortress were used by F. Golovin to reform Irkutsk garrison.

The paper presents the Russian ballet dancer and choreographer, Peter Gresserov-Golovin. Golovin completed his education in his native Moscow and migrated after the October Revolution to Slovenia, where he continued his artistic work. First in Ljubljana and later in Maribor, he participated as a ballet choreographer in many operas and operettas, and proved himself a capable director of music and theatre performances. Between the wars, he maintained the Slovenian ballet despite the poor financial situation and raised the first generation of Slovenian ballet dancers and soloists. In 1971 he was awarded the Order of Merit for the People with silver rays for his contribution to the Slovenian ballet. The last years of his life were spent in Canada, where he gathered his memories about his life and work in Slovenia in a book with the eloquent title Moja ljuba Slovenija – My Beloved Slovenia.

Abstract:
The genus Trochodendroides, recognized by its ovate or elliptical leaves with palmate brochidodromous venation, is well represented in the late Albian-Maastrichtian floras of North-East of Russia. The study of recently collected materials and revision of previous data allow us to introduce one new species (T. montana P. Alekseev, sp. nov.) and to offer 6 new combinations (T. ochotica (Vachr. et Herman) Golovn. et Gnilovskaya, comb. nov., T. barykovensis (Moiseeva) Golovn., comb. nov., T. gigantea (Moiseeva) Golovn., comb. nov., T. terranea (Moiseeva et Herman) Golovn., comb. nov., T. campanica (Abramova) Golovn. et Yudova, comb. nov., T. crenata (Herman) Golovn., comb. nov.). The new names were proposed for two species (T. samyliniae P. Alekseev, nom. nov., T. magadanica Golovn., nom. nov.). The diagnoses of 10 species are emended. The species Trochodendroides pekulneensis Philipp. and Zizyphus anadyrensis Philipp. are joined under the name Trochodendroides pekulneensis Philipp. emend. Yudova. The species Zizyphus microphylla Philipp. and Trochodendroides armanensis Philipp. are joined under the name T. magadanica Golovn. The species Macclintockia ochotica Vachr. et Herman and Trochodendroides longifolia Golovn. are joined under the name Trochodendroides ochotica (Vachr. et Herman) Golovn. et Gnilovskaya. In the whole, 21 species are recognized in the Late Cretaceous floras of North-East of Russia. Their stratigraphic and geographic ranges were analized. The systematic and morphology diversity of Trochodendroides was comparatively low in the late Albian–Turonian and the findings of these leaves are rare. During the Coniacian this genus reached the highest systematic and morphologic diversity. In the Santonian the abundance of Trochodendroides leaves was decreasing. In this time the lanceolate or narrow-ovate leaf morphotypes were most usual. The abundance of Trochodendroides leaves was increased again in the Campanian and decreasing in the Maastrichtian. Between 21 species, 18 species were distributed only in North-East of Russia. Many species were recorded only in single floristic assemblage. Species T. deminii and T. sachalinensis were characterised by wide stratigraphic ranges (from the late Albian to the Maastrichtian and from the Coniacian to the Campanian consequently).

Abstract:
Seventeen species of the genus Trochodendroides and one species of the genus Nyssidium are described from the Albian-Maastrichtian deposits of the Chulym-Yenisei depression (Western Siberia), Lena-Vilyui depression (Eastern Siberia) and Kolyma River basin. The study of recently collected materials and revision of previous data allow us to describe 4 new species (T. buorensis Golovn., sp. nov, T. beketovii Golovn., sp. nov., T. rostrata Golovn. et P. Alekseev, sp. nov.) and to offer 6 new combinations (T. tiungensis (Budants.) Golovn., comb. nov., T. heterophylla (Budants.) Golovn., comb. nov., T. kemensis (Ananjev) Golovn., comb. nov., T. sibirica (Tcherepnin) P. Alekseev, comb. nov., T. bajkovskae (I. Lebed.) Golovn., comb. nov., T. gromovii (E. Lebed.) Golovn., comb. nov). The new names were proposed for two species (T. budantsevii Golovn., nom. nov., T. ananjevii Golovn., nom. nov.). The morphological diversity, variability and value of different characters for distinction of species are discussed. The epidermal features were firstly examined for T. heterophylla and T. ananjevii. They are mostly similar to epidermal features of Cercidiphyllum. The genus Trochendroides firstly appeared in Siberia in the early-middle Albian as a minor component of the conifer-dominated Mesophytic floras. The determination of this genus is verified by the findings of Nyssidium fruits. During the Late Cretaceous the genus Trochodendroides was common member in floras of the Siberian-Canadian phythogeographic region. The systematic and morphology diversity of Trochodendroides was comparatively low in the late Albian–Cenomanian and the findings of these leaves are rare. The abundance of Trochodendroides leaves was increased in the Turonian and the Coniacian. During the Coniacian this genus reached the highest systematic and morphologic diversity (the Antibes and the Vilyui floras). In the Santonian-Campanian the abundance of Trochodendroides leaves was decreasing again. In this time the lanceolate or narrow-ovate leaf morphotypes were most usual. They were often described as Macclintockia, Zizyphus or Paliurus. Genus Trochodendroides is not presented in the Cretaceous deposits of Europe and firstly appeared there in the Tertiary. This genus is rare in the Late Cretaceous deposits of the Turan province, near the boundary between Siberian-Canadian and Euro-Sinian phythogeographic regions.

Abstract:
Abstract. The evolution of two-dimensional drop distributions is simulated in this study using a Monte Carlo method. The stochastic algorithm of Gillespie (1976) for chemical reactions in the formulation proposed by Laurenzi et al. (2002) was used to simulate the kinetic behavior of the drop population. Within this framework, species are defined as droplets of specific size and aerosol composition. The performance of the algorithm was checked by a comparison with the analytical solutions found by Lushnikov (1975) and Golovin (1963) and with finite difference solutions of the two-component kinetic collection equation obtained for the Golovin (sum) and hydrodynamic kernels. Very good agreement was observed between the Monte Carlo simulations and the analytical and numerical solutions. A simulation for realistic initial conditions is presented for the hydrodynamic kernel. As expected, the aerosol mass is shifted from small to large particles due to collection process. This algorithm could be extended to incorporate various properties of clouds such several crystals habits, different types of soluble CCN, particle charging and drop breakup.

Purpose. To develop a new optotype and a chart for precision visometric tests and assess their accuracy.Materials and methods. 56 patients aged 16 to 57 years with the maximum visual acuity (VA) of 1.0 or more were examined for VA using three types of optotypes: standard letter optotype based on the Sivtsev — Golovin table, Landolt rings, and a new optotype developed by the authors.Results. On the basis of the psychometric analysis, the corresponding curves were drawn. When using the new optotype, the share of correct answers for VA = 1.0 was 75 %, for VA = 1.5 — 25 %, and for VA = 2.0 — 10 %. In contrast, Landolt rings and Sivtsev — Golovin optotypes gave the following results, respectively: VA = 1.0 — 50 %, 1.5 — 20 %, 2.0 — 10 % and VA = 1.0 — 45 %, VA = 1.5 — 15 %, VA = 2.0 — 5 %.Conclusion. The proposed optotype and the table for visometric tests, based on the principle of logarithmic progression of optotype sizes, significantly increase the accuracy of VA assessment. An extended range of optotype sizes increases the sensitivity of the visometry.

Abstract:
Problem setting. Ukraine has chosen a course for European integration. The existing legal order in Ukraine is being reformed in accordance with European standards in order to improve the quality of legislation and, subsequently, the living standards of the population. The system of punishment is no exception. As it is not possible to get rid of crime completely, it is possible to improve the mechanisms that realize the main purpose of punishment, and through which crime will be reduced. The fight against crime in Europe is more effective than the experience of post-Soviet countries, so it can be argued that the adaptation of national legislation to European can be a positive phenomenon for Ukraine. Analysis of recent researches and publications. Various aspects of the problem of implementation of international standards in domestic practice in the field of serving sentences, in particular regarding imprisonment, were dealt with by a number of scientists, in particular Pripolova L.I., Golovkin B.M., Kushnir Ya.O., Smirnova A.V., Popko V.V., Ptashinsky O.V., Stepaniuk А.N., Farenyuk S.Ya. and others. Target of research. The aim of the article is to highlight the most important points in the modern national system of punishments, which contain shortcomings at the same time with the possibility of reforming them in accordance with European legislation. Article’s main body. According to Article 51 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in Ukraine there are 12 types of punishment. They are divided into basic and additional. Once a sentence has been imposed, it is not so important to classify it into basic and additional, so criminal executive law divides all sentences into isolation and non-isolation. Criminal and criminal-executive law of Ukraine is a national system of punishments, which includes the concept of punishment, types, limits of punishment and the order of their serving. This system is the result of many changes in Soviet legislation, following the experience of European countries, as Ukraine has chosen a course of European integration since the beginning of its independence. But it is not enough to simply bring the system of legislation of Ukraine in line with European norms, because it is the implementation of these norms that is important, which can create an obstacle in the reform of the penitentiary system. Therefore, the adaptation of national legislation to European legislation in the field of execution and serving sentences should meet the needs of the Ukrainian penitentiary system while eliminating the most significant shortcomings of this system. Conclusions and prospects for the development. Based on the analysis, it can be argued that it is appropriate to change the national system of punishment in accordance with international norms and practices of European countries. Emphasis is placed on gradual, comprehensive reform, which will ensure the formation of a quality mechanism for the implementation of all purposes of punishment. Changes are needed in general, starting with the terminology of certain not quite accurate concepts used by the legislator, ending with the mechanism of implementation of norms and maximum improvement of conditions of serving a sentence. A detailed examination of the shortcomings of some types of punishment confirms that Ukrainian legislation in certain institutions needs new legal regulation. This applies primarily to fines and imprisonment, as these punishments are the leading and, according to many scholars and legal practitioners, the most effective for punishment, and later correction of the person.

Abstract:
The paper presents data on the state of populations of species of the genus Daphnia in the ecosystems of small lakes in the forest-steppe zone of the south-west of Western Siberia, in which they are the highest trophic link. The research was conducted in 2017 on the territory of the Kurgan region. In total, 5 lakes (Lysanovo, Dolgoe, Golovka, Second Mogilnoye, Krutoyar) located between 66°30’ and 67°00 ‘ were studied.d. and 55°00’ and 55°30 ‘ s. The studied lakes are typical for the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia. According to the chemical composition, the lake waters of the studied limnoecosystems can be attributed to the bicarbonate and chloride classes, the sodium group. 5 species of the genus Daphnia were found in the reservoirs: Daphnia (Daphnia) - D.(D.) pulex, D.(D.) obtusa, D.(D.) longispina, D.(D.) galeata, and Daphnia (Ctenodaphnia)- D. (C.) magna. Populations of D. (D.) pulex are found in all the studied reservoirs. The maximum density and biomass of crustaceans of this species is noted in Lake Mogilnoye of 51 thousand individuals/m² and 3.62 g/m², respectively. The minimum, in the lake Dolgoe – 3.8 thousand individuals/m² and 0.019 g/m². Of the other species, D. (C.) magna is most common-in three reservoirs. At the same time, there is a significant variability in the population density from 0.478 thousand. individuals/m² (Lake Krutoyar) up to 9,864 thousand. individuals/ m² (lake Dolgoe). D. (D.) longispina is found in two lakes – the Golovka (25,230 thousand. individuals/m²) and Krutoyar (6,428 thous. individuals/m²). The lowest occurrence is typical for D. (D.) obtusa (Lake Golovka) and D. (D.) galeata (Lake Lysanovo). The greatest species diversity of the genus Daphnia was observed in Lake Golovka (3 species) and Krutoyar (3 species). It is concluded that the studied limnoecosystems are characteristic daphnia reservoirs with the dominance of one or two species from the genus Daphnia.

Abstract:
In view of female portrait of the turn of the XIX &ndash; XX centuries, which stylistically belongs to &ldquo;salon&rdquo; painting of the Russian Art Nouveau, the authors analyzes the two works by the artists of &ldquo; The World of Art&rdquo; association &ndash; the portrait of Elena Olive by Konstantin Somov (1914) and the portrait of Marina Makovskaya by Alexander Golovin (1912). Both portraits are attributed to the series of female portraits created by Konstantin Somov and Alexander Golovin in the early 1910s. The general circle of&nbsp; the artists&rsquo; clients, similar formats of works, compositional and stylistic techniques allow drawing parallels between the selected portraits and finding certain conceptual similarity. The determination of stylistic, formal and conceptual patterns of both works against the background of the series of similar portraits created by the artists indicates that the generally accepted criterion of &ldquo;psychologism&rdquo; of the images in assessing these works is inapplicable. The female portrait of the Art Nouveau appease to be representative, creating &ldquo;stylish&rdquo; images of the contemporaries, meeting the tastes of the clients and the moods of Belle Epoque, but virtually not oriented towards personal characteristics and psychologism of the image in traditional sense. However, in the considered portraits, the researchers reveal generalizations and characteristics that describe the psychology of the depicted models in a different way, as well as form a three-dimensional female image of the turn of centuries: the phenomenon of &ldquo;hidden psychologism&rdquo;, the prospects for studying which are outlined in this work.

Abstract:
The Chingandzha flora comes from the volcanic-sedimentary deposits of the Chingandzha Formation (the Okhotsk-Chukotka volcanic belt, North-East of Russia). The main localities of the Chingandzha flora are situated in the Omsukchan district of the Magadan Region: on the Tap River (basin of the middle course of the Viliga River), on the Kananyga River, near the mouth of the Rond Creek, and in the middle reaches of the Chingandzha River (basin of the Tumany River). The Chingandzha flora includes 23 genera and 33 species. Two new species (Taxodium viligense Golovn. and Cupressinocladus shelikhovii Golovn.) are described, and two new combinations (Arctopteris ochotica (Samyl.) Golovn. and Dalembia kryshtofovichii (Samyl.) Golovn.) are created. The Chingandzha flora consists of liverworts, horsetails, ferns, seed ferns, ginkgoaleans, conifers, and angiosperms. The main genera are Arctop teris, Osmunda, Coniopteris, Cladophlebis, Ginkgo, Sagenoptepis, Sequoia, Taxodium, Metasequoia, Cupressinocladus, Protophyllocladus, Pseudoprotophyllum, Trochodendroides, Dalembia, Menispermites, Araliaephyllum, Quereuxia. The Chingandzha flora is distinct from other floras of the Okhotsk-Chukotka volcanic belt (OCVB) in predominance of flowering plants and in absence of the Early Cretaceous relicts such as Podozamites, Phoenicopsis and cycadophytes. According to its systematic composition and palaeoecological features, the Chingandzha flora is similar to the Coniacian Kaivayam and Tylpegyrgynay floras of the North-East of Russia, which were distributed at coastal lowlands east of the mountain ridges of the OCVB. Therefore, the age of the Chingandzha flora is determined as the Coniacian. This flora is assigned to the Kaivayam phase of the flora evolution and to the Anadyr Province of the Siberian-Canadian floristic realm. The Chingandzha flora is correlated with the Coniacian Aleeky flora from the Viliga-Tumany interfluve area and with other Coniacian floras of the OCVB: the Chaun flora of the Central Chukotka, the Kholchan flora of the Magadan Region and the Ul’ya flora of the Ul’ya Depression.

Abstract:
Abstract To improve the modeling of warm rain initiation, a two-moment bulk parameterization of the drop collection growth in warm clouds is developed by two steps: (i) its prototype is first derived based on the analytic solution of the stochastic collection equation (SCE) with the Golovin kernel, and (ii) the prototype is then revamped empirically to fit the numerical solution of SCE with the real hydrodynamic collection kernel, reaching the final version of the parameterization. Since the final version represents the self-collection of cloud drops explicitly, it replicates warm rain initiation well even when liquid water content (cloud-drop number concentration) is very low (high). It also replicates the autoconversion threshold and time delay of rain initiation via a small autoconversion rate.
