Abstract:
In recent times, news of financial misappropriations of some ministers of the gospel in some churches puts a question on the financial integrity of the ‘holy men and women of God.’ It is believed that the life of a minister is the life of his ministry. Integrity in the New Testament context means soundness, purity, honesty, and adherence to a pattern of good works. Integrity is a crucial matter especially, in these days when pastoral scandals seem to become rampant and some ministers of the gospel are abusing the true nature of the pulpit ministry through their lifestyle and messages. Theological shorthand is expressed through the words: relationships, like Jesus, being there, and time and journey. These words articulate a complex and nuanced practice that carry and communicate the Gospel and faith of youth ministers amongst young people. When examined, the practice of youth ministers resonate with echoes of theology from the Christian tradition, yet this is not overtly expressed. The theological shorthand articulation can be seen as ‘thin’ theology, with practice based on being like Jesus and the youth minister as symbol. Current youth ministry practice can be seen to be g

Some reading the canonical Gospels, namely, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are inclined to think that the disciples Jesus called were all men or males because whether it is the names of the apostles or a pronoun used about them, it is either a man’s name or masculine gender. It is a situation that tends to lead some Christian churches to prefer having only male ministers or pastors. The author of this paper argues that the notion or idea is a presentation of the first three Gospels but not the Fourth. The Fourth Gospel presents not only men but also women as disciples of Jesus.

Health and healing are vital aspects of human existence, often prompting individuals to go to great lengths in search of relief. When conventional medicine fails to resolve their health issues, many turn to prayer houses or traditional healers for solutions. Healing was a central part of Jesus’ earthly mission, and in response to His directive for disciples to preach the gospel and heal the sick, the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) has prioritized healing as a key aspect of its ministry. She is associated closely with Jesus’s ministry as a faithful disciple and apostolic leader within the community of faith. Abstract The New Testament Gospels have sometimes been called “Passion narratives with long introductions.” The scholar who came up with this phrase meant that these books are largely about the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Everything else in Jesus’ life—his entire public ministry—is a preliminary to these key events. This can be seen to some extent simply in the amount of space the Gospel writers devote to the events of Jesus’ last days. Our earliest Gospel, Mark, for example, devotes six of its sixteen chapters to the last week of Jesus’ life. Our latest canonical Gospel, John
