Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to determine the features of the structure and functioning of the fear motive in F.M. Dostoevsky’s “fantastic story” “The Dream of a Ridiculous Man” and in A. Petrov’s cartoon of the same name. The report first examines the images, details, etc., with which the fear motive is created in the story, and then analyzes the ways of embodying this motive and transmitting a certain frightening atmosphere in the cinema.
