Abstract:
Background: Due to the increasing demand for the electrical power and limitations of conventional energy to produce electricity. Methods: Now the Microgrid (MG) system based on alternative energy sources are used to provide electrical energy to fulfill the increasing demand. The power system frequency deviates from its nominal value when the generation differs the load demand. The paper presents, Load Frequency Control (LFC) of a hybrid power structure consisting of a reheat turbine thermal unit, hydropower generation unit and Distributed Generation (DG) resources. Results: The execution of the proposed fractional order Fuzzy proportional-integral-derivative (FO Fuzzy PID) controller is explored by comparing the results with different types of controllers such as PID, fractional order PID (FOPID) and Fuzzy PID controllers. The controller parameters are optimized with a novel application of Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm (GOA). The robustness of the proposed FO Fuzzy PID controller towards different loading, Step Load Perturbations (SLP) and random step change of wind power is tested. Further, the study is extended to an AC microgrid integrated three region thermal power systems. Conclusion: The performed time domain simulations results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed FO Fuzzy PID controller and show that it has better performance than that of PID, FOPID and Fuzzy PID controllers. The suggested approach is reached out to the more practical multi-region power system. Thus, the worthiness and adequacy of the proposed technique are verified effectively.

Abstract:
Konkani is one of the languages included in the eighth schedule of the Indian constitution. It is the official language of Goa and is spoken mainly in Goa and some places in Karnataka and Kerala. Konkani WordNet or Konkani Shabdamalem (kōṁkanī śabdamālēṁ) as it has been referred to, was developed under the Indradhanush WordNet Project Consortium during the period from August 2010 to October 2013. This project was funded by Technology Development for Indian Languages (TDIL), Department of Electronics & Information Technology (Deity), and Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT). The work on Konkani WordNet has halted since the end of the project. Currently, the Konkani WordNet contains around 32,370 synsets. However, to make it a powerful resource for NLP applications in the Konkani language, a need is felt for research work toward enhancement of the Konkani WordNet via community involvement. Crowdsourcing is a technique in which the knowledge of the crowd is utilized to accomplish a particular task. In this article, we have presented the details of the crowdsourcing platform named “Konkani Shabdarth” (kōṁkanī śabdārth). Konkani Shabdarth attempts to use the knowledge of Konkani speaking people for creating new synsets and perform the quantitative enhancement of the wordnet. It also intends to work toward enhancing the overall quality of the Konkani WordNet by validating the existing synsets, and adding the missing words to the existing synsets. A text corpus named “Konkani Shabdarth Corpus”, has been created from the Konkani literature while implementing the Konkani Shabdarth tool. Using this corpus, 572 root words that are missing from the Konkani WordNet have been identified which are given as input to Konkani Shabdarth. As of now, total 94 users have registered on the platform, out of which 25 users have actually played the game. Currently, 71 new synsets have been obtained for 21 words. For some of the words, multiple entries for the concept definition have been received. This overlap is essential for automating the process of validating the synsets. Due to the pandemic period, it has been difficult to train and get players to actually play the game and contribute. We studied the impact of adding missing words from other existing Konkani text corpus on the coverage of Konkani WordNet. The expected increase in the percentage coverage of Konkani WordNet has been found to be in the range 20–27 after adding the missing words from the Konkani Shabdarth corpus in comparison to the other corpora for which the increase is in the range 1–10.

Abstract:
Text-independent dialect recognition system is proposed in this paper for Marathi language. India is rich in language varieties. Each language in turn has its unique dialect variations. Maharashtra has Marathi as official language and for Goa it is a co-official language . In literature there are very few studies available for Indian language recognition and then their respective dialect recognition. So research work available for regional languages such as Marathi is extremely limited. As a part of research work, an attempt is made to generate a case study of a low resourced Marathi language dialect recognition system. The study was carried out using Marathi speech data corpus provided by Linguistic Data Consortium for Indian Language (LDC- IL). This corpus includes four major dialects of Marathi speakers. The efficiency and performance evaluation of the explored spectral (rhythmic) and temporal features are carried out to perform classification tasks. We investigated the performance of six different classifiers; K-nearest neighbor (KNN), Naïve Bayes (NB), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree (DT) classifier , Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) classifier and Ridge Classifier (RC). Experimental results have demonstrated that the RC classifier worked well with 84.24% of accuracy for fifteen spectral and temporal features. With twelve MFCCs it has been observed that SGD has outperformed among all classifiers with accuracy of 80.63%. For further study, a prominent feature subset as a part of dimensionality reduction has been identified using chi square, mutual information and ANOVA-f test. In this chi-square based feature extraction method has proven to be the best over over mutual information and ANOVA f-test.

"Synthesis, structure and superconducting properties of laminated thin film composites of YBа2 Cu3 O7–d /Y2 O3 as components of 2G HTS wires." Abstract:
2G HTS wires are capable of transferring huge amounts of electrical energy without loss. An increase in the current-carrying capacity in these materials is possible due to an increase in the thickness of the superconducting layer; however, there is a problem with the appearance of impurity orientations and other defects with increasing thickness. We have proposed a solution of this problem by increasing the thickness of the superconducting layer by the MOCVD method using interlayers of yttrium oxide. The aim of this study was the production of thick composite films with yttrium oxide interlayers and high critical current density. In addition, we want to show the effectiveness of the approach of introducing yttrium oxide interlayers for the reduction of the number of parasitic orientations and defects with an increase in HTS film thickness. The deposition of YBа2Cu3O7–dand Y2O3 films was carried out layer by layer using reel-to-reel MOCVD equipment. A 12 mm wire of the following architecture was used as a substrate: 200 nm CeO2(Gd2O3)/30–50 nm LaMnO3/5–7 nm IBAD-MgO/50 nm LaMnO3/50 nm Al2O3/60 μ Hastelloy 276. The resulting films were annealed in oxygen for obtaining the orthorhombic YBCO phase. YBа2Cu3O7–d/Y2O3composites were obtained. In these composites, obtained using the MOCVD method, the amount of side (с║) orientation of the HTS layer was reduced and high values of the critical current density, exceeding 1 MA/cm at a thickness of > 2 μm remained. The efficiency of the approach of introducing yttrium oxide interlayers for the increase in the current characteristics with increasing film thickness was shown. It was found that further thickening of films with interlayers is prevented by the formation of nanopores, reducing the critical current density. REFERENCES 1. Abstract:
Electronic monitoring surveillance (EMS) has emerged as a mechanism to monitor the behavior of the employees. Fast-growing organizations are adopting this strategy in an expeditious way. EMS deals with the CCTV, internet surfing control, and check on emails. The chapter is an attempt to diagnose the employees' attitudes and perceptions towards EMS and its impact. For this research purpose, a sample was drawn from the population of the selected airports Chandigarh, Pune, Goa, and New Delhi. Sample data of 237 respondents was done by using Smart-PLS. The findings revealed that employees show that attitude and perception towards EMS were significant. It also influenced their work behavior positively. This chapter suggests managerial implications for organizations in understanding the appropriate implementation and use of EMS strategy as future scope of study. Moreover, this chapter also provides a platform for the researchers to study the different HR practices like commitment, loyalty, job satisfaction, and engagement.
