Abstract:
The article presents a study of glutathione peroxidase (GPO) isozymes content in ovarian tissue under various physiological and pathological states of cow gonads. The ovarian tissue of 12 cows in different physiological conditions were selected for research, from which homogenates were prepared. The content of isozymes was determined in the supernatant after centrifugation by electrophoresis. After electrophoresis in a 7.5 % polyacrylamide gel and specific staining of the plates according to Lin C. L. and Weydert C. J., 5 bands of catalytically active isozymes of the enzyme (GPO1, GPO2, GPO3, GPO4, and GPO5) were established. They differed in electrophoretic mobility, intensity, and area of band staining. It has been proven that depending on the physiological state of the ovaries, the content of individual isozymes in the gonad tissue changed. In particular, it was found that the content of GPO1 for “late corpus luteum” and “follicular growth” was almost the same, and was in the range of 14.2–15.6 %, and for “early corpus luteum” it was 8.7–10.1 % lower (Р < 0.01). The content of GPO2 was high in “early corpus luteum” (19.9 ± 6.42 %), and in “late corpus luteum” and “follicular growth” it was lower on 11.0–13.2 % (Р < 0.01). The content of GPO3 during “follicular growth” and “early corpus luteum” was within 50.1–51.2 %, and during “late” it decreased on 4.5–5.6 %. According to changes in the physiological state of the ovary in the tissue of “late corpus luteum”, the content of GPO4 was the highest (26.0 ± 2.40 %), and under “follicular growth” and “early corpus luteum” it was lower on 10.2 (Р < 0.05) and 12.9 % (Р < 0.01), respectively. A high content of GPO5 was established in the ovarian tissue of “follicular growth” (10.8 ± 2.00 %), which tended to decrease by 2.8 % and by 4.8 %, respectively, in “early” and “late corpus luteum”. For ovarian tissue with hypofunction, compared to physiological conditions, a probable decrease in the content of the following isozymes was registered: GPO1 by 1.2–11.3 % (Р < 0.01), GPO4 – 6.8–19.7 % (Р < 0 .01) and GPO5 – 2.7–7.5 % (Р < 0.01), while the content of GPO3, on the contrary, increased by 23.6–29.2 % (Р < 0.05–0.01). The study of the dependence of the content of enzyme isozymes on different conditions of the gonad showed that the correlation ratio for the content of GPO isozymes in ovarian tissue under physiological conditions and hypofunction: medium strength was negative for GPO2 and GPO3 (η = 0.473 and 0.530), positive for GPO5 (η = 0.481 ), and strongly positive for GPO1 and GPO4 (η = 0.740 and 0.746).

Abstract:
This paper discusses the possibility of analyzing the orchestration protocol used in gigabit-capable passive optical networks (GPONs). Considering the fact that a GPON is defined by the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication sector (ITU-T) as a set of recommendations, implementation across device vendors might exhibit few differences, which complicates analysis of such protocols. Therefore, machine learning techniques are used (e.g., neural networks) to evaluate differences in GPONs among various device vendors. As a result, this paper compares three neural network models based on different types of recurrent cells and discusses their suitability for such analysis.

As networks to be flattened, a direction has been put forward clearly by Telecom operators that Optical Line Terminals (OLT) of Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) should become aggregation [1] OLTs, which makes them to work as both aggregation switches and edge access devices. According to this requirement, a scheme that realizes Routing [2] Information Protocol (RIP) on GPON OLT is put forward after deep analysis of GPON system [3] [4] [5] and RIP. Results shows that IP routing on GPON OLT is realized, which allows OLTs to work on the network layer, at the same time simplifies the broadband network levels and increases the reliability of the network.

Abstract:
The next generation passive optical networks (NG-GPON) such as long reach GPON is the future-proof solution to answer the continuous demands for access user bandwidth and network expansion. However, security which is yet to be addressed in NG-GPON needs urgent attention as it will become more critical due to much longer distance, denser user population and more network elements. In addition, the longer propagation delay in NG-GPON can also lead to a more complex bandwidth allocation mechanism that is expected to operate in a dynamic manner. Among the highlights of recommendations for future implementation are improvements in the security aspect and the use of dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) algorithm that suit the characteristics of long reach GPON. Current PON is exposed to degradation attack, a security breach that can harm how bandwidth fairness mechanism among ONUs work. Thus, this project proposes a secured DBA mechanism for NG-PON that could overcome this particular threat. In specific, a detection phase will be included in the DBA mechanism to sense and subsequently mitigate abnormal behaviours among ONUs that are harmful to the goal of DBA i.e. to ensure QoS among ONUs and traffics. At the same time, careful attention is given on the delay parameter as it is a critical parameter that can affect DBA performance in long reach GPON. In this paper, preliminary analysis is shown that reveal how possibility of threats increase with increasing of distance and network elements.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to compare the existing optical network conditions that use point to point technology with GPON network designed for Udayana University campuses area in Bukit Jimbaran Bali. The Existing optical network is currently able to serve only 14 buildings from 77 existing productive buildings due to the limited number of available optical cores.. It means in order to connect each building at the campuses area, it is required much more optical fiber. Alternatively is using Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology. This research was conducted by analyzing the condition of the existing optical network and designing the GPON network. Here are compared some network feasibility parameters ie Link Power Budget, Rise Time Budget and Bit Error Rate. Then compare the use of cores, the number of subscribers as well as device estimation and transmission costs. The study found that to connect all of the buildings are GPON configuration required only 22 optical cores, compared to 154 cores for eksisting network designs. However, the GPON design has lower network quality but is simpler and much more economical if it is implemented for a wide network.

Abstract:
The article describes the application of data analysis, which allows, based on the processed experimental data, to obtain new knowledge about the behavior and capabilities of a gigabit passive optical network (GPON network). The description of the test bench of the GPON network is given. The paper studied the characteristics of semiconductor optical amplifiers used to increase the range of GPON networks, as well as their dependence on the input power and signal wavelength. For data processing, the MatLab mathematical calculation automation package and the OriginLab package for numerical data analysis and scientific graphics were used. It is shown that the use of an EDFA amplifier (an optical amplifier on an erbium-doped fiber) in the architecture of a gigabit passive optical network is the best choice and allows expanding the range of the GPON network from 20 kilometers to 60 kilometers.

Abstract:
This article presents a numerical implementation of the activation process for gigabit and 10 gigabit next generation and Ethernet passive optical networks. The specifications are completely different because GPON, XG-PON and NG-PON2 were developed by the International Telecommunication Union, whereas Ethernet PON was developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The speed of an activation process is the most important in a blackout scenario because end optical units have a timer after expiration transmission parameters are discarded. Proper implementation of an activation process is crucial for eliminating inadvisable delay. An OLT chassis is dedicated to several GPON (or other standard) cards. Each card has up to eight or 16 GPON ports. Furthermore, one GPON port can operate with up to 64/128 ONUs. Our results indicate a shorter duration activation process (due to a shorter frame duration) in Ethernet-based PON, but the maximum split ratio is only 1:32 instead of up to 1:64/128 for gigabit PON and newer standards. An optimization improves the reduction time for the GPON activation process with current PLOAM messages and with no changes in the transmission convergence layer. We reduced the activation time from 215 ms to 145 ms for 64 ONUs.

Kebutuhan layanan jaringan internet akan terus meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk dan beragam layanan data seperti Triple Play. PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. menggunakan teknologi Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) pada infrastuktur jaringan fiber optik dan berencana untuk menerapkan teknologi 10-Gigabit-capable Symmetric Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan internet. Berdasarkan rekomendasi ITU-T G.984, GPON memiliki laju downstream sebesar 2,5 Gbps dan upstream sebesar 1,25 Gbps sedangkan berdasarkan rekomendasi ITU-T 9807, XGS-PON memiliki laju downstream dan upstream sebesar 10 Gbps. Simulasi pada hasil perancangan jaringan Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) bertujuan untuk memastikan kelayakan hasil rancangan dengan standar yang ada. Simulasi dilakukan menggunakan Optisystem 7.0 dengan parameter yang diuji berupa link power budget, Q-factor, BER, dan rise time budget yang disesuaikan dengan rekomendasi ITU-T dan standar PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. Hasil simulasi untuk jarak ONT terjauh GPON menunjukkan nilai link power budget pada arah downstream dan upstream sebesar 21,83 dB dan 21,94 dB, sedangkan XGS-PON sebesar 22,04 dB dan 21,98 dB. Seluruh hasil simulasi untuk teknologi GPON dan XGS-PON telah memenuhi standar yang digunakan dan layak untuk diimplementasikan.

Aquí es donde las redes FTTH junto con la tecnología GPON juegan un papel importante, ya que cumplen con este desafío. En este artículo, presentamos un caso de estudio de la red FTTH con tecnología GPON que incluye una serie de escenarios en combinación con topologías de árbol, ojo y árbol de ojo y arquitecturas Home-Run y ​​GPON. En el análisis del caso, se tienen en cuenta los parámetros relacionados con el conducto principal y los terminales de red (TR) conectados a los puntos de unión (PE), entre otros aspectos. La combinación de estas topologías con sus respectivas arquitecturas ayudaría a los planificadores de red a reducir el tiempo de planificación de este tipo de redes y los costos de inversión.

Abstract:
This article presents a design of a database model used to gather and analyze data frames transmitted over gigabit passive optical network (GPON) in the downstream direction. An issue with this kind of system is the difficulty in analyzing a transmission on the optical part which is caused by the difference among devices using Ethernet frames technology and passive optical network technology with usage gigabit encapsulation method. In this article, a principle of the downstream direction is described. Next, the design of the database model for the analysis of transmitted data is discussed. Based on the design and implementation of the database, a script capable of processing data gathered by a programmable network card is proposed. The script for physical layer operation, admission, and maintenance (PLOAM) messages analysis is written in the Python programming language.

Abstract:
Ultra-dense network (UDN) is characterized by massive deployment of small cells which resulted into complex backhauling of the cells. This implies that for 5G UDN to be energy efficient, appropriate backhauling solutions must be provided. In this paper, we have evaluated the performance of giga passive optical network (GPON) and V-band millimetre wave (mmWave) in serving as green backhaul solution for 5G UDN. The approach was to first reproduce existing backhaul solutions in Very Dense Network (VDN) scenario which served as benchmark for the performance evaluation for the UDN scenario. The best two solutions, GPON and V-band solutions from the VDN were then deployed in 5G UDN scenario. The research was done by simulation in MATLAB. The performance metrics used were power consumption and energy efficiency against the normalized hourly traffic profile. The result revealed that GPON and V-band mmWave outperformed other solutions in VDN scenario. However, this performance significantly dropped in the UDN scenariodue to higher data traffic requirement of UDN compared to VDN. Thus, it can be concluded that GPON and V-band mmWave are not best suited to serve as green backhaul solution for 5G UDN necessitating further investigation of other available backhaul technologies.

Teknologi serat optik telah dapat digunakan sebagai aplikasi sensor jarak jauh. Selain kemampuannya dalam hal kecepatan dan kapasitas dalam trasnfer data, penggunaan serat optik pada aplikasi sensor jarak jauh adalah karena ukurannya yang kecil serta tidak membutuhkan sumber energi listrik. GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) merupakan standar komunikasi optik yang dikembangkan oleh ITU-T via G.984. GPON memiliki memiliki beberapa keunggulan dibanding standar lain, yaitu: memiliki bandwidth yang besar dan efisiensi yang tinggi. Pada penelitian ini penulis merancang penggunaan serat optik pada aplikasi sensor jarak jauh menggunakan standar GPON pada salah satu client yang terhubung dengan STO BKR, STO PBR, STO RBI dan STO ARK Pekanbaru. Aplikasi sensor ini disimulasikan menggunakan software Optisystem dengan parameter pengujian yaitu power link budget dan Bit Error Rate (BER). Dari hasil pengukuran menggunakan Optical Power Meter (OPM) yang ada di Optosystem, diperoleh nilai level daya penerimaan lebih besar dari -28 dBm dan BER lebih kecil dari 10-9.

Optical transmission is getting more popular in the access network due to the increasing demand for bandwidth. New services like IP television (IPTV) transmission, video on demand (VoD) etc. over Internet together along high speed Internet access are confronting the demand of higher bandwidth at the customer end in today’s Ethernet network backbone. Even though today’s well deployed XDSL (i.e., VDSL/VDSL2+, SHDSL) solutions can satisfy bandwidth demand but are limited to the restriction regarding distance. Hereby, the suitable solution for high bandwidth demand with a long reach can be met by reaching optical cable to cus- tomer end directly. One of the possible ways would be to install passive optical network (PON). Gigabit PON (GPON) is the far-most advanced PON solution used by European and US providers while providers in Asia predominantly use EPON/GePON. This GPON is the basic technology to support the structure of the next-generation fiber to the home (FTTH) system. This paper provides an overview of such GPON solution associating its network architecture, transmission mechanisms and some key services.

FTTH design is a crucial step to ensure the best performance of the optical link. In this paper, an FTTH-GPON network is designed, and its performance is analyzed using an optical link power and rise time budget. In the residence of 254 users, at least eight feeder cable cores are needed, with respective ODCs and ODPs. The design satisfies the link power budget with the lowest power margin of 2.469 dB/2.826 dB upstream/downstream in its furthest distance. The highest rise time for the system is 0,2236 nm. The FTTH configuration satisfies ITU-T G.984.1 GPON standard.

Access point membentuk hot spot, sedangkan Wireless Router mengatur lalu lintas data. Parameter yang diukur pada penelitian ini yaitu Quality of Service (QoS), antara lain pengukuran jitter, delay, dan packet loss yang dihasilkan dalam layanan paket data. Nilai jitter rata-rata sesama pengguna modem ADSL yang terhubung dengan access point pada smartphone bernilai 143.36 ms sedangkan pada laptop berada pada nilai 45.6 ms. Nilai jitter sesama penguna modem GPON, nilai rata-rata pada smartphone bernilai 133.12 ms, sedangkan pada laptop berada pada nilai 45.56 ms. Nilai rata-rata delay sesama pengguna modem ADSL pada smartphone bernilai 99.04 ms, sedangkan pada laptop sebesar 56.33 ms. Nilai rata-rata delay pada sesama pengguna modem GPON pada smartphone adalah 97.96 ms sedangkan pada laptop sebesar 56.15 ms. This work is focused on creating an open-source software-based solution for monitoring traffic transmitted through gigabit passive optical network. In this case, the data are captured by the field-programmable gate array (FPGA) card and reassembled using parsing software from a passive optical network built on the International Telecommunication Unit telecommunication section (ITU-T) G.984 gigabit-capable passive optical network GPON recommendation. Then, the captured frames are converted by suitable software into GPON frames, which will be further processed for analysis. Due to the high transfer rate of GPON recommendations, the work describes the issue of writing to the Mongo database system. In order to achieve the best possible results and minimal loss of transmitted frames, a series of tests were performed. The proposed test scenarios are based on different database writing approaches and are implemented in the Python and C# programming languages. Based on our results, it has been shown that the high processing speed is too high for Python processing. Critical operations must be implemented in the C# programming language. Due to rapid application development, Python can only be used for noncritical time-consuming data processing operations.

The evolution of broadband telecommunication technologies has enabled applications over networks, which, in turn, has enabled the emergence of novel network services and applications such as VoIP and video on demand in triggering demand for higher network bandwidth. Passive Optical Networking (PON) is suitable for eliminating bandwidth insufficiency, so national governments and communities are observing the emergence of Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) technologies. Ethernet-based Passive Optical Networks (EPON) and Gigabit-based PON (GPON) are two candidates for next-generation PON in bandwidth efficiency. To predict which is more suitable nationally, we define a foresight framework based on hybrid Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods for selecting the most suitable PON. The development of next-generation PON, including Ethernet PON (EPON) and Gigabit PON (GPON), is introduced and compared. Experts from industry and academia were invited to predict the most suitable next-generation PON for Japan and emerging economies such as Taiwan. Results showed that EPON is most suitable for Japan and GPON most suitable for Taiwan. Results for the technological foresight can serve as the basis for national telecommunication policy and business product definition.

This paper presents the design and implementation of a Fiber To The Building (FTTB) network infrastructure based on Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology in a hotel cluster building located in West Sumatra, Indonesia. GPON technology was selected for its cost-effectiveness and efficiency in the distribution area, particularly when the terminal bandwidth is set at ≤500 Mbps. The waterfall method was utilized in the network's design. The results were tested and analyzed across three Open System Interconnection (OSI) layers: the physical layer, represented by the link power budget; the datalink layer, represented by the Traffic Container (T-CONT); and the network layer, represented by the QoS network performance. The link power budget showed a minimum received power of -16.41 dBm on the downlink and -18.95 dBm on the uplink, with a power margin value above zero. T-CONT has been implemented with the fixed bandwidth value set to provide a bandwidth guarantee meeting the minimum requirement of 1.1 Mbps. The network performance of the FTTB GPON demonstrated excellent performance, as per Internet Protocol Harmonization Over Network (TIPHON) standards, recording a latency of 1.18 ms, jitter of 0.18 ms, and zero packet loss

A velocidade constante e a necessidade de alta capacidade de transmissão multimídia no meio educativo só serão viáveis se existir uma rede internet de banda larga com preços acessíveis. Este trabalho pauta-se em ampla pesquisa de tecnologias inovadoras para internet de banda larga voltada para implantação em municípios brasileiros onde a mesma não esteja disponível. Buscando a redução do valor final para o usuário, tanto residencial quanto comercial. Assim, propomos apresentar, elaborar e selecionar informações atuais relativas às implantações das tecnologias EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Networks) e GPON (Gigabyte-capable Passive Optical Networks) nas redes ópticas de acesso. Uma vez que permanecem em aberto na literatura especializada trabalhos analisando a viabilidade técnica e econômica de redes GPON e EPON, as quais continuam concorrendo até hoje, sem uma dominação ou exclusão definida. Após análise em trabalhos anteriores atualizamos e ampliamos informações de implantações recentes destas redes, comparando tendências dessas tecnologias aplicadas em nível nacional e internacional. Como metodologia de modelamento, criamos tabelas com valores hipotéticos baseados nos números do mercado de equipamentos, para termos um panorama do investimento e do custeio total na implantação de projetos, isto visando a comparação técnica-econômica das tecnologias GPON e EPON. Após a análise técnica-econômica da implatação de ambas, concluímos que devido aos investimentos e aos custos na implantação da rede banda larga nos países latino americanos é mais conveniente a utilização dos equipamentos GPON devido aos valores de investimento e custos serem atrativos. Além de que temos que buscar novos meios de baratear os valores cobrados nas mensalidades das empresas fornecedoras do serviço de banda larga, visando especialmente a obtenção do custo zero para as instituições de ensino presencial e no menor custo para o EAD. So, we intend to present ,to prepare and to select current information regarding deployments of EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Networks) and GPON technologies (Gigabyt-capable Passive Optical Networks) in optical access networks. Once there is a lack, in technical literature, of other projects analysing the technical and economial feasibility of GPON and EPON networks , which continue running until today , without domination or exclusion set. After analysis in previous papers, we updated and expanded information from recent deployments of these networks by comparing trends of these technologies applied in national and internacional levels. As a methodology for modeling the project, we created tables with hypothetical values based on the numbers of the equipment market , in order to have an overview of the investment and the total cost to implement this project, aiming at technical-economic comparison of EPON and GPON technologies . After the technical - economic analysis of implanting both , we conclude that due to investments and the costs in the deployment of the broadband network in Latin American countries, it is more convenient to use the equipment GPON, because the values and costs are more attractive . Besides, we have to look for new ways to cheapen the monthly payment of suppliers of broadband service, especially aiming zero cost to the institutions of classroom teaching and the lowest cost to the EAD(d-Learning). Dalam Penelitian ini dilakukan perencanaan teknologi OMUX untuk layanan data dan POTS di Politeknik TEDC Bandung dengan cara melakukan perbandingan teknologi OMUX dengan salah satu dari teknologi pengembangan dari PON yaitu GPON (Gigabit PON). Perbandingan ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji implementasi OMUX sebagai teknologi paling tepat dan efisien diterapkan di pelanggan coorporate Telkom Bandung. Pengambilan keputusan adalah berdasarkan hasil perbandingan pengukuran parameter, analisis kebutuhan, kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing teknologi. Adapun parameter teknis yang dibahas adalah Power Link Budget, Rise Time Budget, spesifikasi perangkat dan Redaman. Dari hasil pengukuran parameter teknis dan analisa dapat dilihat bahwa teknologi OMUX dan GPON memenuhi persyaratan layanan broadband serta memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing. Nilai margin daya dan rise time jaringan menggunakan OMUX lebih besar dibandingkan dengan menggunakan GPON. Sehingga teknologi yang dipilih adalah OMUX untuk kampus Politeknik TEDC Bandung yang terletak di wilayah suburban dan tidak banyak kemungkinan pengguna akses broadband. Keputusan ini juga diambil berdasarkan pertimbangan effort yang dibutuhkan dan waktu instalasi (Time to Delivery Market).

Permasalahan yang dihadapi di Indonesia saat ini adalah sebagian besar jaringan telekomunikasi broadband masih mengunakan DSL berbasis kawat tembaga sebagai media utama akses jaringan. Kondisi ini jika tidak diantisipasi oleh operator penyedia jasa jaringan telekomunikasi, memungkinkan terjadinya bottleneck ketika bertambahnya kebutuhan akan konvergensi layanan telekomunikasi seperti triple-play service. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu kajian tekno ekono mimigrasi jaringan akses untuk sebagai dasar pemilihan teknologi beserta aspek ekonominya yang dapat memenuhi tuntutan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan kajian tekno-ekonomi terhadap migrasi jaringan DSL berbasis tembaga keteknologi jaringan FTTx GPON pada daerah perkotaan menggunakan metode STEM (Strategic Telecom Evaluation Model). Metode tersebut berbasis pada pembagian kelas densitas rumah tangga pada area tertentu menjadi empat kelas kepadatan yaitu; sangat tinggi, tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Dari hasil kajian diperoleh untuk daerah dengan kepadatan rumah tangga sangat tingi dan tinggi jaringan akses layak secara teknologi dan ekonomi untuk migrasi dari jaringan berbasis kabel tembaga kelayanan berbasis kabel optic FTTx GPON, untuk daerah dengan kepadatan sedang dilayani oleh dua teknologi yaitu VDSL dan GPON, sedangkan untuk daerah kepadatan rendah hanya dilayani oleh teknologi VDSL. Dengan demikian operator dapat menggunakan hasil kajian ini untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan dalam rangka migrasi jaringan akses.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (RnD) dengan model Hannafin and Peck yang meliputi; 1) Analisis keperluan, 2) Desain, 3) Pengembangan dan Implementasi. Hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran komik pada mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi optik digunakan pada materi Standar, Arsitektur dan Kalkulasi Daya GPON, Backhaul GPON untuk LTE/LTE-A, dan GPON sebagai Backhaul 5G. Hasil dari penelitian dan pengembangan yaitu 1) media pembelajaran komik pada mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi Optik untuk mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika UNJ yang telah dikembangkan berdasarkan metode Research and Development (RnD) dengan model Hannafin and Peck. 2) Hasil uji kelayakan oleh ahli materi memperoleh persentase penilaian sebesar 81,6% artinya produk sangat layak. 3) Hasil uji kelayakan oleh ahli media memperoleh persentase penilaian sebesar 95,6% artinya produk sangat layak. 4) uji coba lapangan kepada mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika UNJ di mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi Optik memperoleh persentase penilaian sebesar 85%. Berdasarkan kategori kelayakan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran komik yang dikembangkan pada mata kuliah Sistem Komunikasi Optik dapat dikategorikan sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Bi-PON technique tried to solve this problem by changing the XGPON / GPON frame structure to an interleaved pattern but also required additional hardware changings at the optical network units. In this study, we have tried to achieve the same objective by making a few changings in the GPON frame structure without modifying the existing hardware structure. The simulation results show that 25.25% processing energy of an ONU can be saved by incorporating these changes.</p>

The integration of Software Defined Networking (SDN) technologies in Passive Optical Networks (PONs) would provide great advantages to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Network Operators, since they can optimize the network operation and reduce its complexity. However, some tasks regarding online service and network configuration strategies are difficult to move to external SDN-controllers since they are time-critical operations. However, the control of some of these policies by SDN techniques could lead to better network and management configuration in a centralized and automatic way. As a consequence, we propose and experimentally test the integration of an OpenFlow approach over legacy Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPONs), which allows moving some global service configuration policies to an external SDN controller implementing an SDN management layer that adjust these strategies according to dynamic Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of services in residential users. Abstract:
Passive optical networks are dominating access networksaround the world due to its their economical aspect, bandwidth, and penetration. It is necessary to deal with specification of these networks. The article deals with a transmission convergence layer of a Gigabit passive optical network, especially the activation process for ONUs. When the blackout affects all ONUs in the network, all ONUs need to be resynchronized with OLT but the current algorithm affects that for higher value of ONUs synchronization after a couple of minutes. We proposed a novel algorithm for an ONU activation time with the same frame structure and state machine, which are defined in the main specification. We verified the proposed algorithm by simulation and compare results for the current and novel algorithms. Ourresults confirm that it is possible to achieve the better time up to nineteen times lower synchronization time in comparison with the current algorithm.

Diante deste cenário, este projeto tem como objetivo construir uma rede GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network), com arquitetura da tecnologia FTTX para cidade de Salitre que com o uso de fibra óptica é possível oferecer uma rede de qualidade que atenda um maior número de usuários. O planejamento do projeto de rede na cidade de Salitre terá a capacidade de atender 1.632 acessos através do uso das fibras ópticas que a rede passiva nos oferece com ajuda do software AutoCad Map, utilizando sistema georeferenciado para auxílio no posicionamento dos elementos da rede GPON, com um custo previsto de R$174.138,32.

Este artículo propone el diseño y simulación de un módulo de radio frecuencia basado en un sistema de multiplexación por división de frecuencia ortogonal (OFDM) con modulación de amplitud en cuadratura (16-QAM) a una tasa de transmisión de datos de 10 Gbps y a una frecuencia de 10 GHz, utilizando la herramienta de simulación OptSim. Para ello, se diseñó a nivel de simulación un sistema de red con fibra hasta el hogar (FTTH)-óptica pasiva Gigabit (GPON) Triple Play (servicio de datos/voz a 2,5 Gbps y servicio de video CATV digital con 16-QAM a 0,8 Gbps) con el fin de integrar el módulo de radio sobre fibra (RoF) para ofrecer servicios Quad Play (Triple Play más Internet móvil). Posteriormente, se evaluó el desempeño para el enlace descendente a nivel físico del sistema FTTH-GPON después de que se incorporó el módulo RoF, con base en los parámetros de monitoreo de desempeño óptico (OPM), tales como: potencia de recepción óptica, magnitud del vector de error (EVM), diagrama de constelación, relación señal a ruido (SNR), tasa de error de bit (BER), Factor de calidad (Q) y diagrama del ojo. Los resultados muestran que es posible que los usuarios de las redes FTTH-GPON puedan contar, además de los servicios Triple Play, con un cuarto servicio (Internet móvil) ya que la calidad del servicio móvil está garantizada dentro del “último kilómetro” para redes de acceso, usando el despliegue actual de fibra óptica estándar, demostrando la factibilidad del sistema propuesto.

Passive optical networks are widely used because of their sufficient bandwidth and low price of individual elements.Based on the European Commission, The Czech Republic ISPs have to ensure 30 Mbit/s (in existing networks) and 100 Mbit/s (in new constructed networks) for each customer in selected areas till 2020. Nowadays, the GPON standard is dominating in the Europe due to its low price and maturity. In general, the passive optical networks are based on P2MP (Point to Multipoint) physical topology. Therefore each end unit receives data meant for all units. To mitigate this, the standard defines an encryption method (authentication and key exchange phase) but the key exchange phase relies only on a single unique parameter (serial number of an end unit). A new unique parameter for the key exchange phase is proposed. No modification of the transmission convergence layer in GPON is considered. A measuring scheme for determining of accuracy of our new unique parameter, called Tprop, is also proposed.

El presente artículo describe la metodología para certificar redes FTTH GPON con el objetivo de minimizar los errores que se evidencian durante la ejecución de este proceso dentro de una red óptica. La certificación se basa en estándares y normas técnicas nacionales e internacionales, lo cual garantiza el óptimo funcionamiento de la red. El trabajo se realiza con métodos empíricos en el campo mediante procesos de caracterización, medición y análisis de resultados, factores que permitirán identificar que las mediciones estén dentro del rango establecido con el uso de herramientas y equipos debidamente configurados y actualizados. Se establece la necesidad de una regulación efectiva en certificación de una red FTTH GPON que traiga máximos beneficios para las empresas proveedoras de servicio del país y satisfaga la demanda de ancho de banda del cliente final. Se busca garantizar la aplicación de nuevas tecnologías que ayuden a optimizar el uso de la infraestructura orientada hacia la convergencia de servicios, a la implementación de Redes de Nueva Generación y hacia la inversión en sectores estratégicos.
