Abstract:
Augustinski samostan sv.

AbstractThe U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) beef grading system plays an important role in marketing and promoting beef. USDA graders inspect beef carcasses and determine a quality grade within a few seconds. Although the graders are well trained, the nature of this grading process may lead to grading errors. Significant differences in the USDA graders’ “called” and “camera-graded” quality grades were observed, as well as variations in quality grades across seasons and years. Under grid pricing, producers gained financially from grades called by USDA graders rather than grades measured by cameras.

Abstract:
In the study of the structure of graded algebras (such as graded ideals, graded subspaces, and radicals) or graded polynomial identities, the grading group can be replaced by any other group that realizes the same grading. Here we come to the notion of weak equivalence of gradings: two gradings are weakly equivalent if there exists an isomorphism between the graded algebras that maps each graded component onto a graded component. Each group grading on an algebra can be weakly equivalent to G-gradings for many different groups G; however, it turns out that there is one distinguished group among them, called the universal group of the grading. In this paper we study categories and functors related to the notion of weak equivalence of gradings. In particular, we introduce an oplax 2-functor that assigns to each grading its support, and show that the universal grading group functor has neither left nor right adjoint.

Abstract:
No, münchensko suđenje (2014.-2016.) nekadašnjim visokopozicioniranim djelatnicima Službe državne sigurnosti Josipu Perkoviću i Zdravku Mustaču pokrenulo je nove političke i društvene promjene u pogledu dostupnosti toga gradiva.

Abstract:
10059 Background: Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are rare, mesenchymal derived tumors. Based on malignancy, three grades are distinguished with G1 equaling low grade, G2 intermediate grade and G3 high grade, respectively. Studies have shown that some G1 tumors which underwent complete surgical resection reoccurred as lesions with a grading shift from G1 to higher malignancy. This grading change is referred to as up grading. Patients with grading changes were thoroughly examined in our study. Our aim was to find possible risk factors for up gradings, such as age, localization of tumor and tumor type. Methods: This retrospective case control study evaluated 333 Patients, who, between 1996 to 2011 were treated for G1 STS at Bergmannsheil Bochum, university clinic. These patients received complete initial surgical resection. Among our 333 patients, 9.9% (n=33) developed up gradings of their STS. These were then reviewed more closely in the aim of finding possible risk factors. We did not exclude any patients from our data or deliberately pick any grading changers and regard our collective as randomly sampled. The processed data includes age, gender, tumor type, tumor localization, occurrence of recidive and grading change. Results: Patients with up gradings were found to have a higher mean age of 4, 5 years than reference collective. The tumor type has a strong, statistically significant effect on grading change as patients with fibrosarcomas have a threefold risk of developing up gradings when compared to patients with other G1 STS. Conclusions: Our results indicate that age and tumor type play the key role in the development of up gradings in low malignant STS .Patients aged 60 and above diagnosed with fibrosarcomas are at a 3 times higher risk of developing a grading change as opposed to patients younger than 60 with other low grade STS than fibrosarcoma. We discussed the significance of these risk factors and argued whether, in addition to wide tumor resection, a short term postoperative radiotherapy should be applied for these patients to improve therapeutical outcome.

Abstract:
– 1961.) i Državnom arhivu u Pazinu (1962. – 1990.).

This paper summarizes an experiment designed to assess the validity of essay grading between holistic and analytic human graders and a computerized grader based on latent semantic analysis. The validity of the grade was gauged by the extent to which the student's knowledge of the topic correlated with the grader's expert knowledge. To assess knowledge, Pathfinder networks were generated by the student essay writers, the holistic and analytic graders, and the computerized grader. It was found that the computer generated grades more closely matched the definition of valid grading than did human generated grades.

AbstractIn this paper we study simple associative algebras with finite -gradings. This is done using a simple algebra Fg that has been constructed in Morita theory from a bilinear form g : U × V → A over a simple algebra A. We show that finite -gradings on Fg are in one to one correspondence with certain decompositions of the pair (U, V). We also show that any simple algebra R with finite -grading is graded isomorphic to Fg for some bilinear from g : U × V → A, where the grading on Fg is determined by a decomposition of (U, V) and the coordinate algebra A is chosen as a simple ideal of the zero component R0 of R. In order to prove these results we first prove similar results for simple algebras with Peirce gradings.

Abstract:
With the increase in large college classes and online education, student grading of their own work and that of peers is also increasing in frequency. This meta-analysis of 36 studies and 103 effect sizes examined several questions regarding the relationship between grades assigned by college students (either to themselves or peers) and those assigned by their instructors on the same assessment. On average, students graded themselves .41 standard deviations higher than their instructors. The grade distribution correlation between the two types of graders averaged r=.71. Inter-judge reliability estimates suggested that a range of 2-4 peer-graders are needed in order to attain the same level of reliability achieved by the instructor. Little research was found on the effect of student grading on subsequent student performance. Moderator analyses revealed that differences between graders appeared to be minimized when (a) students are grading a peer’s work rather then their own, (b) they are in their freshman versus sophomore, junior or senior year, (c) some form of training is given, (d) assessment has lower stakes, (e) more objective tests are given, and (f) course content is English, social science, or professional versus science or engineering. These results have implications for what contexts best facilitate the use of students as graders, and bring to light areas where future research is needed.

Using the classification of maximal commutative subgroups in group of automorphisms of gl(n,C), we describe procedure for obtaining fine gradings in simple classical Lie algebras. This algorithm is applied to the algebras sl(4,C), o(4,C) and sp(4,C). Every grading is associated with label graphs. In this way, the problem whether two gradings are equivalent is reduced to the problem whether corresponding graphs are isomorphic. It is shown that there exist exactly 9 nonequivalent fine gradings in gl(4,C), 6 fine gradings in o(4,C) and 3 fine gradings in sp(4,C).

A G-grading on an algebra, where G is an abelian group, is called multiplicity-free if each homogeneous component of the grading is 1-dimensional. We introduce skew root systems of Lie type and skew root systems of Jordan type, and use them to construct multiplicity-free gradings on semisimple Lie algebras and on semisimple Jordan algebras respectively. Under certain conditions the corresponding Lie (resp., Jordan) algebras are simple. Two families of skew root systems of Lie type (resp., of Jordan type) are constructed and the corresponding Lie (resp., Jordan) algebras are identified. This is a new approach to study abelian group gradings on Lie and Jordan algebras.

Abstract:
Practice exams are a type of deliberate practice that have been shown to improve student course performance. Deliberate practice differs from other types of practice, because it is targeted, mentally challenging, can be repeated, and requires feedback. Providing frequent instructor feedback to students, particularly in large classes, can be prohibitive. A possible solution is to have students grade practice exams using an instructor-generated rubric, receiving points only for completion. Students can either grade their own or a peer’s work. We investigated whether peer or self-grading had a differential impact on completion of practice exam assignments, performance on practice exams or course exams, or student grading accuracy. We also investigated whether student characteristics mattered. We found that 90% of students took all practice exams or only missed one and that there was no difference on practice or course exam performance between the peer and self-graders. However, in the peer-grading treatment, students with lower incoming grade point averages and students identified as economically or educationally disadvantaged were less accurate and more lenient graders than other students. As there is no clear benefit of peer grading over self-grading, we suggest that either format can solve the challenge instructors face in giving frequent personalized feedback to many students.

Rezultati. Svrha objedinjavanja gradiva jest stvaranje što cjelovitije dokumentacije o djelovanju knjižničarske zajednice u određenom prostoru i vremenu. Preduvjet je za to detaljnije reguliranje upravljanja pripadajućim arhivskim gradivom kroz dokumente knjižničarske udruge. Potvrdu tih promišljanja nalazimo i u praksi međunarodne knjižničarske zajednice (American Library Association Archive, Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionnals i Associazione Italiana Biblioteche). Originalnost rada.

Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of intraocular lens (IOL) glistenings on visual performance and evaluate a new glistenings grading methodology. Methods and AnalysisThirty-four patients (34 eyes) were recruited. Corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), mesopic gap acuity (MGA), functional contrast sensitivity (FCS) and forward light scatter were measured (Advanced Vision and Optometric Tests, City Occupational, London, UK). The IOL centre was imaged and glistenings density graded by three observers using the Miyata scale and a new system. Inter-rater reliability, association between the two grading scales, and correlations between glistenings grades and visual performance parameters were evaluated.ResultsThe intraclass correlation coefficient between graders for the new grading system was 0.769 (95% Confidence Interval [CI] 0.636 to 0.868). There was a significant association between the Miyata scale and the new grading system for all graders (rs=0.533–0.895, p≤0.001). There was no association between CDVA or MGA and glistenings grade (rs=− 0.098, p=0.583 and rs=0.171, p=0.359, respectively). There was no association between FCS at mesopic light levels and glistenings grade (rs=−0.032, p=0.864), or the straylight parameter and glistenings grade (rs=0.021, p=0.916). No association was found between the integrated straylight parameter and glistenings grade (rs=0.078, p=0.701).ConclusionThe new glistenings grading scale was highly reproducible. In this cohort, glistenings in the same hydrophobic acrylic IOL after cataract surgery were not associated with changes in visual function, as assessed by a series of tests not previously used in glistenings research.

one of the human’s deterioration is visual impairment. Cataract and Glaucoma are the most prevailing cause blindness in the world. Early detection and treatment is the best way to prevent the blindness. Currently grading is done by human graders, it is found to be time taking and grading is usually subjective. Computer aided analysis can help human graders. An automated cataract and glaucoma detection and classification approach is proposed in this paper, to grade more objectively. Region based convolution neural network (RCNN) is used to classification process. The percentage of accuracy of classification obtained for cataract and glaucoma is 98.9% and 97.8% respectively. The method is especially suitable for cataract and glaucoma screening in the underdeveloped areas or areas which are in shortage of ophthalmic resources. It can also improve the accessibility of ophthalmic medical treatment.

Aggregate distribution of asphalt mixture had an obvious characteristic of fractal. Based on fractal theory, the distribution function of aggregate of conductive asphalt mixture based on the granular fractal model was deduced. This paper used linear regression analysis to different gradings to get the grading fractal dimension of conductive asphalt mixture and the conductivity of the mixture was tested. Test results indicated that the grading fractal dimension of conductive asphalt mixture was controled by the fine aggregate. On the other hand, the fractal dimension had a congruent relationship with conductivity. The conductive asphalt mixture had good pavement performance and conductive when the fractal dimension of AC-20 grading ranged from 2.43 to 2.53. The fractal dimension can be used as a quantification index of grading evaluation.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a neurological disease that presented with paresthesias, pain, and numbness in the hand's median nerve compression. Vitamin D was assumed to affect both electrophysiological &clinical gradings, the study aims to assess the correlation between the deficiency of vitamin D and both electrophysiological and clinical gradings. This study was conducted in Ghazi Alhariri Hospital during the period from the first of November/2020 to the twenty-eighth of February/2021, fifty five individuals were referred to as Carpal tunnel syndrome patients, and compared to (55) control individuals, blood samples were withdrawn from the patients (3ml), centrifuged and kept in the freezer (-20°C) until the time of analysis of vitamin D3, Sensory and motor nerve conduction studies of both median and ulnar nerve were done bilaterally. patients were classified electrophysiologically and clinically into two subgroups (mild to moderate) and (severe) groups. The result showed that the differences are not significant in the gender, BMI and vitamin D of the patients versus the control group (p>0.05), the difference of the electrophysiological parameters was not significant between patients with low vitamin D versus those with normal vitamin D (p value>0.05), there was a significant association between the electrophysiological and clinical grading in addition to a significant association between vitamin D level and the clinical grading. Vitamin D deficiency does not affect the electrophysiological parameters while the clinical grading becomes worse with the decrease in its level. The electrophysiological grading is associated with clinical grading.

Abstract:
This paper presents a complete methodology for modeling gradings (also called non-full-availability groups) servicing single-service and multi-service traffic streams. The methodology worked out by the authors makes it possible to determine traffic characteristics of various types of gradings with state-dependent call arrival processes, including a new proposed structure of the Erlang’s Ideal Grading with the multirate links. The elaborated models of the gradings can be used for modeling different systems of modern networks, for example, the radio interfaces of the UMTS system, switching networks carrying a mixture of different multirate traffic streams, and video-on-demand systems. The results of the analytical calculations are compared with the results of the simulation data for selected gradings, which confirm high accuracy of the proposed methodology.

Abstract:
Equity is important to most individuals and its perceived absence may impact negatively on individual and organisational performance. The concept of equity presupposes fair treatment, while discrimination implies unfair treatment. The perceptions of discrimination, or being treated unfairly, may result from psycho-social processes, or from data that justifies discrimination and is quantifiable. Objectives: To assess whether differences in post grading and remuneration for males and females are based on gender, rather than on quantifiable variables that could justify these differences. Method: Biographical information was gathered from 1740 employees representing 29 organisations. The data collected included self-reported post grading (dependent variable) and 14 independent variables, which may predict the employees’ post gradings. The independent variables related primarily to education, tenure and family responsibility. Results: Males reported higher post gradings and higher salaries than those of females, but the difference was not statistically significant and the practical significance of this difference was slight. Qualification types, job specific training, and membership of professional bodies did not affect post grading along gender lines. The ways in which work experience was measured had no influence on post grading or salary for either males or females. Furthermore, family responsibility, union membership and the type of work the employees performed did not influence the employees’ post grading. The only difference found concerned the unfair treatment of males, particularly those who were well-qualified. Conclusions: Objective evidence of unfair gender-based discrimination affecting post grading and salary is scarce, and the few differences that do occur have little statistical and practical significance. Perceptions of being discriminated against may therefore more often be seen as the result of psycho-social processes and are not necessarily the result of justifiable differences in education, tenure and family responsibility.

Abstract:Juries, committees and experts panels commonly appraise things of one kind or another on the basis of grades awarded by several people. When everybody's grading thresholds are known to be the same, the results sometimes can be counted on to reflect the graders’ opinion. Otherwise, they often cannot. Under certain conditions, Arrow's ‘impossibility’ theorem entails that judgements reached by aggregating grades do not reliably track any collective sense of better and worse at all. These claims are made by adapting the Arrow–Sen framework for social choice to study grading in groups.

AbstractThis paper describes the development and testing of a computer algorithm to automate the process of peak identification and somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP) grading. We tested the accuracy of computerized peak detection and evaluated grading schemes using a test set of 60 SSEPs ranked from worst to best by the programmer (RJM) and a blinded grader (PO). The computer algorithm recognized 95% of peaks identified by visual inspection. Twelve percent of peaks identified by the computer were noise. Summed peak to peak amplitude gave the most accurate ranking of SSEPs. Rank correlation between computer and blinded and unblinded expert grading was r = .82 for PO, r = .92 for RJM, p < .0001 for both. Computer and manually summed amplitudes were highly correlated (Pearson r = .98, p < .0001). Correlation between the 2 expert graders was .86, p < .0001. Computer graded SSEPs were significantly related to clinical outcome at 3 months, p < .0001. Automatic grading of SSEPs using summed peak to peak amplitude is highly correlated with expert grading. The measure is objective, continuous, and well suited to statistical analysis.

Abstract:
In this work we tackle the Cartan determinant conjecture for finite-dimensional algebras through monoid gradings. Given an adequate ∑-grading on the left Artinian ring A, where ∑ is a monoid, we construct a generalized Cartan matrix with entries in ℤ∑, which is right invertitale whenever gl.dim A < ∞. That gives a positive answer to the conjecture when A admits a strongly adequate grading by an aperiodic commutative monoid. We then show that, even though this does not give a definite answer to the conjecture, it strictly widens the class of known graded algebras for which it is true.

Soil grading effect on following properties of earth-cement blocks such as block density, compressive strength in wet and dry condition, flexural tensile strength in wet and dry condition, and water absorption was compared. Results show that the properties of the earth cement blocks are dependent upon the fine content and uniformity coefficient of the soil. The increase in the finer content in mortar improves water absorption, compressive strength and flexural tensile strength.

Abstract:
Abstract. This comment focuses on the statistical limitations of a model grading, as applied by D. Waugh and V. Eyring (2008) (WE08). The grade g is calculated for a specific diagnostic, which basically relates the difference of model and observational data to the standard deviation in the observational dataset. Monte Carlo simulations show that this method is not leading to statistical significant gradings. Moreover, the difference between two models is hardly significant. The results of the statistical tests performed in WE08 agree with our findings. However, most of those tests are based on special cases, which implicitely assume that observations are available without any errors and that the interannual variability of the observational data and the model data are equal. Without these assumptions the grading becomes basically insignificant. We further show that the inclusion of confidence intervals into the grading approach is necessary, since it has the potential to change the grading results drastically.

Abstract:
Let F be a field and let E be the Grassmann algebra of an infinite dimensional F-vector space. For any p,q ∈ ℕ, the algebra Mp,q(E) can be turned into a ℤp+q × ℤ2-algebra by combining an elementary ℤp+q-grading with the natural ℤ2-grading on E. The tensor product Mp,q(E) ⊗ Mr,s(E) can be turned into a ℤ(p+q)(r+s) × ℤ2-algebra in a similar way. In this paper, we assume that F has characteristic zero and describe a system of generators for the graded polynomial identities of the algebras Mp,q(E) and Mp,q(E) ⊗ Mr,s(E) with respect to these new gradings. We show that this tensor product is graded PI-equivalent to Mpr+qs,ps+qr(E). This provides a new proof of the well known Kemer's PI-equivalence between these algebras. Then we classify all the graded algebras Mp,q(E) having no non-trivial monomial identities, and finally calculate how many non-isomorphic gradings of this new type are available for Mp,q(E).

Abstract:
Objectives: To correlate CK-19 with different histopathological gradings of oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCCs). Methods: Study Design: Descriptive study. Setting: Department of Outpatient, ISRA Dental College Hospital. Period: January 2014 to November 2019. Material & Methods: In current study 60 suspected patients of oral squamous cell carcinomas were enrolled for cancer diagnosis and histopathological evaluation. Incisional biopsy method was opted for tissue sample collection. Patients from both genders were tested for CK-19 at different histopathological gradings. Ethical approval was properly taken from Institutional review board and patients’ willingness to participate in the study was ensured. For statistical data analysis SPSS version 21.0 and Revman5.30 multiple tools were used. Results: Histopathological grading of sixty suspected cases of OSCCs was done into four different gradings which include, poorly differentiated, moderately differentiated, well differentiated and undifferentiated OSCCs. Fifty-two (87 %) of the included subjects were male, where only 8 patients were female. The mean age of female to male was (36.14 vs. 43.21 years). Out of 12 positive cases of OSCCs. CK-19 was found positive in 10 cases (83.3%) in well differentiated Oral Squamous cell carcinomas, where only 2 cases (16 %) of moderately differentiated OSCCs were positive against CK-19. Conclusion: Our outcomes suggest CK-19 has strong association with well differentiated and moderately differentiated Oral Squamous cell carcinomas. We highly recommend further research standardizing CK-19 as a promising histopathological grading marker.

Abstract:
Internal stability of a granular material results from its ability to prevent loss of its own small particles due to disturbing forces such as seepage and vibration. Internal instability results from the inability of a soil to act as a filter to prevent loss of its own small particles.Within pores in the load-bearing fabric of a cohesionless, granular material there can exist loose particles, and whether or not these particles can be removed by seepage depends on (i) particle size distribution curve of the whole material, (ii) density of the compacted material, and (iii) severity of the disturbing forces. Results of seepage tests are presented for a variety of compacted, cohesionless materials, some of which experienced loss of small particles (unstable gradings) and others of which experienced no such loss (stable gradings). From a synthesis of these results a method is proposed for evaluating the potential for grading instability based on the shape of a material's grain size curve. However, the surest method of making such an evaluation is to perform seepage tests following the procedure described in the paper. Key words: internal stability, grading stability, suffosion, tests, filters.

Abstract:
Previously we showed that weekly, written, timed, and peer-graded practice exams help increase student performance on written exams and decrease failure rates in an introductory biology course. Here we analyze the accuracy of peer grading, based on a comparison of student scores to those assigned by a professional grader. When students graded practice exams by themselves, they were significantly easier graders than a professional; overall, students awarded ≈25% more points than the professional did. This difference represented ≈1.33 points on a 10-point exercise, or 0.27 points on each of the five 2-point questions posed. When students graded practice exams as a group of four, the same student-expert difference occurred. The student-professional gap was wider for questions that demanded higher-order versus lower-order cognitive skills. Thus, students not only have a harder time answering questions on the upper levels of Bloom's taxonomy, they have a harder time grading them. Our results suggest that peer grading may be accurate enough for low-risk assessments in introductory biology. Peer grading can help relieve the burden on instructional staff posed by grading written answers—making it possible to add practice opportunities that increase student performance on actual exams.

Abstract:
We study gradings by non-commutative groups on finite dimensional Lie algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. It is shown that if L is graded by a non-abelian finite group G, then the solvable radical R of L is G-graded and there exists a Levi subalgebra B=H1⊕ ⋯ ⊕ Hm homogeneous in G-grading with graded simple summands H1,…,Hm. All Supp Hi (i=1,…,m) are commutative subsets of G.
