Full textUrbanizacija predela uz reke Savu i Dunav je dinamičan proces koji je trajao vekovima. Na nastanak i razvoj gradova je uticalo više faktora, a najvažniji su prirodno okruženje, ratna dešavanja i razvoj privrede, na prvom mestu trgovine. Uticaji prirodnog okruženja grada se mogu sagledati na dva nivoa. Prvi je neposredna okolina iz koje čovek crpi namirnice neophodne za život, a drugi je položaj grada u odnosu na šire okruženje, na mogućnost povezivanja sa drugim regijama i gradovima. Zbog toga je važno najpre sagledati i ustanoviti kakav je teren na kome su nicali gradovi na Savi i Dunavu i opisati hidrografiju, reljef, klimu i plodnost zemljišta, a zatim sagledati i mogućnosti komunikacija sa daljim regijama. Ipak, uticaj prirodne sredine se nikako ne može uzimati kao pojava sama za sebe. Uvek se mora dovesti u kontekst delovanja ljudske zajednice i društvenih odnosa. Regija koju posmatramo je u dugom periodu bila pogranično područje na kome je ratni vihor bio česta pojava. Tu su se smenjivale različite države, Rimsko carstvo, kasnije Vizantija, Ugarska, Bugarska, Srbija, Turska. Svaka od ovih kultura je dala određen doprinos urbanizaciji ovih prostora. Vrlo važan aspekt sagledavanja jednog grada je njegova funkcija u društvu i državi. Gradovi na Savi i Dunavu su često imali ulogu pograničnih karaula, ali se ne sme zanemariti ni njihova privrednafunkcija. Na tom polju je najvažnija bila trgovina. Gradovi u Posavini i Podunavlju su bili uklopljeni u sistem daljinske trgovine koju su obavljali uglavnom Dubrovčani. Ovo podneblje je bilo izvan glavnih tokova evropske trgovine, ali je na regionalnom nivou imalo važnu ulogu koja će se zadržati i u moderno doba. Unutrašnji život grada se sastojao iz više segmenata. Na prvom mestu je svakako stanovništvo. Ono se često menjalo, selilo i osipalo kako su nailazila ratna vremena, a povećavalo u mirnodopskim uslovima kada su privredni tokovi bili neometani. Etnička struktura je bila mešovita, što je očekivana pojava za pogranične gradove. U njima jeP postojala i civilna i vojna uprava, mada je vojna naglašenija s obzirom na važnost ovih gradova u strateškom smislu. Crkva je bila nezaobilazan segment srednjevekovnog grada i imala je u njegovom životu važnu ulogu, kao institucija, ali i kao sama građevina. Morfologija gradova je uglavnom bila uslovljena prirodnim terenom i funkcijom grada. Raznovrsni činioci su uticali na to da se grdovi izgrađeni na obalama Save i Dunava razvijaju svaki na svoj individualan način. Nisu svi nastali u isto vreme, sa istim ciljevima. Imali su različite funkcije, mada je primetno da je vojna funkcija uvek bila konstanta. Nisu svoje vrhunce proživljavali u isto vreme, niti su u isto vreme zamirali, a većina ih postoji i danas.

Full textUrban ambient air pollution is one of the leading causes of health problems. According to WHO data, over 2.7 million deaths occur in urban areas annually due to urban air pollution. Particulate matter PM2.5 is estimated to be the best indicator for assessing the magnitude of the health risk induces by ambient air pollution. Aim: To assess the impact of PM2.5 on total mortality, cardiovascular and respiratory hospital morbidity of the adult population of the City of Novi Sad. Also, the aim of the study was to determine the concentration and chemical composition of ambient PM 2.5 particles in the territory of the City of Novi Sad, on daily and annual bases, taking into account the impact of meteorological parameters. Method: The study was conducted as a prospective, a time series study of of data on air quality, meteorological parameters and health outcomes, at intervals of at least 30 days during all four seasons of 2017. Sampling and determination of the mass concentration and chemical composition of PM2.5 particles in accordance with the prescribed standard methods, it was performed at sampling stations in the City of Novi Sad, representing the impact of traffic and urban background impact on environmental air pollution. A Lenschow approach was used to quantify the magnitude of traffic contribution to the increase of ambient PM2.5 mass concentration. Meteorological data (air temperature, relative humidity and wind velocity) were taken from the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute of Serbia. Data on health outcomes (daily number of deaths and hospitalizations due to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases) for the population older than 18, residing within the territory of the City of Novi Sad, have been provided by the Centre for Informatics and Biostatistics, Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina. To evaluate the impact of independent variables on dependent (total mortality/hospital morbidity), a generalized linear regression model for time series data (Poisson) was applied. Results: The average annual mass concentration of PM2.5 in the territory of the City of Novi Sad was 30.27μg/m3, while mean daily concentrations were 8- 79μg/m3. Approximately 30% of the variability in mean daily concentrations of PM2.5 particles can be explained with local meteorological conditions. The chemical composition of PM2.5 in the area of Novi Sad is to the a great extent the equivalent of the carbonate fraction of the particles, then the secondary inorganic aerosol and the soluble organic fraction, while the water-soluble ions (calcium, chlorides, sodium, potassium and magnesium) are present in the lowest percentage. The sources of ambient air pollution in the area of the City of Novi Sad were the combustion of fossil fuels and biomass, traffic, mineral (soil dust) and secondary pollution of regional origin. Contribution of traffic to the increase of the average annual mass concentrations of PM2.5 particles was 40%. PM2.5 particle mass concentration, as well as the chemical composition of the particles (carbonate fraction equivalent, soluble organic fraction, potassium and calcium ions) contribute to the deaths and diseases of the adult population of the City of Novi Sad. Women and the population aged ≥65, were more susceptible to mass concentration and chemical composition of PM2.5 related deaths and diseases, as well as men according to the impact of the equivalents of carbonate fractions of PM2.5. Conclusion: The results obtained show for the first time the health effects of mass concentration and chemical composition of PM2.5 particles in the City of Novi Sad, i.e. they quantify the risk for total mortality and cardiovascular and respiratory morbidity. Understanding the impact of suspended particles PM2.5 on population mortality and morbidity, stratified by age and sex structure, along with identifying of possible air pollution sources is the basis for the development of public health policies aimed at improving the population health in the City of Novi Sad.

Full textThe dissertation examines characteristics of mixed uses, as an urban phenomenon and a planning concept. А special methodological procedure, including redefinition of mixed-use index, has been formulated for exploring the relations between the program structure of the city and a number of other parameters, which enabled making of well-grounded conclusions about contemporary cities, as complex systems. The particular area of study is the city of Novi Sad and five specific neighbourhoods, and on the basis of results of the work, there were given recommendations for improving of research and planning of mixed uses.

Full text--- This is a Correlational Descriptive study seeking to prove the relationship between moral values and the motivation for learning. The two scales were previously constructed and validated for this study. Both are theoretically supported by Dr. Pedro Ortiz Cabanillas´s Informational Theory of Personality. The sample consists of 174 youths aged 16 to 24, male and female, from public and private schools. The results of the investigation show two conclusions. First, there is a correlation between the two variables, values and motivation. Second, the Linkert scales constructed for the correlation study have internal validity and reliability.

Full textThis theoretical and practical study addresses the contemporary investigations about the crossing and the image-movement via a cross-disciplinary approach. Walking/filming is a practice structurally unstable, discontinuous, arrhythmic and strongly tied to the principle of the spaces inbetween. Gradiva, the one who walks and whom we follow the steps and silhouette, is the founder myth of a research that summons transitory presences, thresholds, boundaries, mirror dances, footsteps and excesses. With Gradiva, walking splits and the interval of bodies determines another topological space, fragmented and with holes: fragments of images, sounds and spaces. Walking/filming thus appears between the bodies, between the images, between the rhythms, in the assembly of a suspended vertical height. lt is a tale of everyday life, of the ordinary, and of the specific acceptance of times such as the opportunity, the accident and the unexpected : a tale of change, uncertainty and movement. As written by Michel de Certeau in L'Invention du quotidien, walking " is a knowledge that remains quiet". Based on the expectation and the repetition of crossings, walking/filming is a practice of accumulation, listing and the et caetera. With its patchy and pierced cartography and its nonstandard spatiotemporal rhythm made of simultaneous and heterogeneous temporalities, Rome was the priviledged territory of the present work and thema king of the associated short film Attraversare Roma (à travers Rome)

Full textDurante el desarrollo del presente trabajo, se efectuará un análisis del conjunto de disposiciones constitucionales y legales que existen en nuestro ordenamiento jurídico y que estructuran el sistema de habilitación para el ejercicio profesional, en Chile, de un título profesional o grado académico obtenido en una institución de educación superior extranjera. En primer lugar, y dado el rol primordial que cumple dentro del sistema aludido la Universidad de Chile, analizaremos el marco normativo que regula a esta Institución como Universidad Estatal y Persona Jurídica de Derecho Público. A continuación se revisarán los principios constitucionales y principales normas legales que fundamentan la autonomía universitaria, a propósito de lo cual, en variadas oportunidades se hará cita de un importante fallo del Tribunal Constitucional en esta materia. Posteriormente, se describirán las disposiciones legales vigentes en nuestra legislación, en relación con los títulos profesionales y grados académicos, comenzando desde el principio constitucional de la libertad de enseñanza, para llegar a las normas reglamentarias que regulan los procedimientos que constituyen la regla general en materia de revalidación, convalidación y reconocimiento de títulos y grados extranjeros. Full textEn metod för att mäta den totala impulsen från en multihålsspridare, introducerad i ett tidigare examensarbete, ”Development of a method and a device for measuring the momentum rate of fuel sprays”, har vidareutvecklats och testats. Metodens koncept är att simultant avlänka alla sprayer från en multihålsspridare genom att använda en klockformad deflektor. Bränslesprayerna avlänkas lodrät nedåt från den ursprungliga paraplyvinkeln, och den så resulterande kraften mäts i en tunnväggig, töjd del av mätcellen. Töjningen ges av tre töjningsgivare, var och en kopplad i kvartsbryggekonfiguration. Mätcellen har i detta examensarbete omdesignats för att minska de störningar som kunde observeras hos impulsmätningarna i föregående examensarbete. Vidare har egenfrekvenserna hos mätcellen höjts och monteringsanordningen vidareutvecklats. Nya störningskällor har identifierats och en djupare insikt om rådande mätförhållanden har nåtts. Förslag om hur vissa störningar undviks och andra kan minskas är inkluderade, tillsammans med rekommenderade modifikationer och nya designförslag. Därtill förs också generell diskussion om impulsmätning.

Full textSince the early 2000’s the Swedish Armed Forces has conducted several changes concerning its organization and personnel. The downsizings of units as well as an increased focus on international operations in the early 2000’s have changed to a growth of units and a return to a national focus. The professions of professional officers have changed with the transformation from a single-command system to a two-officer system in the late 00s, as well as the pause of national conscript service in 2010 and introduction of professional soldiers within the organization. The national conscript service was reintroduced in 2018, for soldiers and squad leaders between 9 and 11 months. During the summer of 2021, 15 months conscript service will be reintroduced. These new conscripts will take over the positions previously manned by professional officers in the wartime organization. The study explores the reintroduction’s affects for professional officers, what consequences that occur as well as how the reintroduction should be implemented. Through interviews with eight respondents from the Logistics regiment in Skövde the reintroduction is explored through the professional officers’ view. The study seeks guidance from Bolman and Deal’s four perspectives on organization and leadership and also Runsten and Werr’s model for integration of knowledge, to be able to understand and interpret the organizational change. The reintroduction of 15 months conscripts includes professional officers’ expectations of the change, which is based from earlier experiences but also includes concerns and hopes. There is a lack of experience to train this new category of conscripts today at company level, the ability to do so is found in older officers in higher echelons – therefore an exchange of old experiences in the context of today is a criterion for success. The reintroduction also affects the training and the field exercises, because the conscript service is prolonged and the conscripts require an increased responsibility from the platoon leader. The profession for non-commissioned officers (NCO) changes - through the use of the same rank by conscripts and NCO’s. It will also take longer time for NCO’s to achieve expertise within their profession. A shift of power occurs from professional officers to conscripts, which mostly affects junior NCO’s. The study recommends the Swedish Armed Forces to overlook its current steering documents and to update these, and also to further develop its military profession for all officers. The study recommends the Armed Forces that with the current officer system, the rank of sergeant is well suited for these conscripts and the conscripts service should be based upon a pre-training concept to be able to succeed as deputy platoon leader. If the Armed Forces introduce conscripts as platoon leaders in the future, an analysis should be conducted prior to the change, concerning the military profession and the three-officer system.

Full textAquest projecte de tesi s'emmarca en el camp de la formació de traductors i se centra en l’ús de la subtitulació interlingüística activa com a una eina didàctica en les assignatures de traducció del grau en Traducció i Interpretació. Diversos estudis han demostrat la validesa pedagògica d'aquest recurs en el camp de l'ensenyament de llengües estrangeres. No obstant això, tot i que la subtitulació és una modalitat de TAV que ja s'ensenya a les universitats amb la finalitat de formar subtituladors professionals, encara són poques les investigacions que aborden l'ús de la subtitulació activa com una eina didàctica en l'àmbit de la formació de traductors. Per això, l'objectiu principal d'aquest estudi és comprovar la validesa de la subtitulació interlingüística activa i analitzar el seu nivell d'implantació en assignatures de traducció no audiovisuals com a un recurs pedagògic que permet desenvolupar la competència traductora dels estudiants. En aquesta tesi es duu a terme un estudi empíric basat en la realització de qüestionaris, entrevistes i activitats de subtitulació que demostra que, tot i que l’aplicació de competències de subtitulació en assignatures de traducció no audiovisuals encara és baixa, la subtitulació es una eina pedagògica vàlida que permet treballar diferents competències generals i específiques dins de l’aula de traducció.
This thesis project is framed within the field of translator training and it focuses on the use of interlinguistic active subtitling as a didactic tool in translation courses of the BA in Translation and Interpreting. Several studies have proved the pedagogical validity of this resource in the field of foreign language teaching. Whereas subtitling is a type of Audiovisual Translation which is taught at universities in order to train professional subtitlers, there is still a lack of studies about the use of active subtitling as a didactic tool in the field of translator training. For this reason, the main objective of this study is to prove the pedagogical validity of interlinguistic active subtitling and analyze its level of implementation in non-audiovisual translation courses as a didactic resource that allows to develop the students’ translation competence. In this thesis an empirical study which combines the application of questionnaires, interviews and subtitling activities is carried out. Although the inclusion of subtitling in non-audiovisual translation courses is still low, the results of this study prove that subtitling is a valid pedagogical tool which leads to the activation of general and specific competences in the translation classroom.

Full textINTRODUCCIÓN: Los valores profesionales se definen como valores humanos contextualizados orientados a la profesión, constituyendo la identidad profesional y se adquieren principalmente mediante la formación académica y la práctica clínica. El principal objetivo de esta investigación ha sido analizar la percepción respecto a los valores profesionales de los estudiantes de una escuela de enfermería de Barcelona (España). METODOLOGÍA: La presente investigación es un estudio de caso para el que se han utilizado metodología mixta siguiendo un diseño de triangulación concurrente (DITRIAC). Participaron tres ciento quince estudiantes de los cuatro cursos que conforman el grado de enfermería. Con la intención de dar respuesta a los objetivos planteados, se utilizaron dos instrumentos: para el abordaje cuantitativo se utilizó la Escala de Valores Profesionales de Enfermería (EVPE) validada en España por Basurto (2010) y para el abordaje cualitativo se diseñó un cuestionario ad hoc que incluyó 13 comportamientos relacionados con los valores profesionales (CCEUG). RESULTADOS: La tasa de respuesta fue de 65,9%. La puntuación media obtenida por los estudiantes en la Escala de valores (EVPE) fue de 113,35 siendo el rango de puntuación posible entre 26 y 130. Se analizó la fiabilidad de la escala y se obtuvo un Coeficiente alfa de Cronbach de ,926. Tras analizar la relación de la escala con las seis variables sociodemográficas de la muestra de estudiantes, se obtuvieron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en dos de ellas: 1) Curso Académico y 2) Años de experiencia laboral en Ciencias de la Salud. Las puntuaciones más elevadas se obtuvieron en la Dimensión Ética. El abordaje cualitativo nos permitió identificar los valores que guían los comportamientos de los estudiantes en sus prácticas clínicas según su propia percepción, así como los factores facilitadores, inhibidores y ambivalentes asociados a estos comportamientos. CONCLUSIONES: Este estudio ha demostrado que la percepción de la importancia de los valores en estudiantes de enfermería es alta, aunque se incrementa a lo largo de los dos últimos cursos. El principal valor que guía su conducta durante las prácticas es el respeto a la dignidad humana para todos los cursos, aunque en cursos superiores aumenta el abanico de valores identificados. Diversidad de factores inhiben o favorecen los comportamientos de los estudiantes asociados a los valores. Por todo ello consideramos necesario intensificar la formación en valores profesionales a lo largo del grado con la intención de mejorar la calidad de la atención de los futuros profesionales.
BACKGROUND: Professional values are defined as contextualized human values oriented to the profession, constituting the professional identity and are acquired mainly through academic training and clinical practice. The main objective of this research has been to analyze the perception regarding the professional values of the students of a nursing school in Barcelona (Spain). METHODOLOGY: This research is a case study for which mixed methodology has been used following a concurrent triangulation design (DITRIAC). Three hundred and fifteen students from the four courses that make up the nursing degree participated. With the intention of responding to the proposed objectives, two instruments were used: for the quantitative approach, the Professional Nursing Values Scale (EVPE) validated in Spain by Basurto (2010) was used and for the qualitative approach, a questionnaire specifically designed for research that included 13 behaviors related to professional values (CCEUG). RESULTS: The response rate was 65.9%. The mean score obtained by the students on the Scale of Values (EVPE) was 113.35, the range of possible scores being between 26 and 130. The reliability of the scale was analyzed and a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of .926 was obtained. After analyzing the relationship of the scale with the six sociodemographic variables of the student sample, statistically significant differences were obtained in two of them: 1) Academic year and 2) Years of work experience in Health Sciences. The highest scores were obtained in the Ethical Dimension. The qualitative approach allowed us to identify the values that guide the behaviors of the students in their clinical practices according to their own perception, as well as the facilitating, inhibiting and ambivalent factors associated with these behaviors. CONCLUSIONS: This study has shown that the perception of the importance of values in nursing students is high, although it increases over the last two years. The main value that guides their conduct is respect for human dignity for all courses, although in higher courses the range of identified values increases. Certain factors influence student behaviors associated with values. For all these reasons, we consider it necessary to intensify training in professional values throughout the degree with the intention of improving the quality of care for future professionals.

Full textCAchexia SCOre (CASCO) is a new tool for the staging of cachectic cancer patients. The score includes five components: 1) body weight loss and composition, 2) inflammation/metabolic disturbances/immunosuppression, 3) physical performance, 4) anorexia and 5) quality of life. The present work provides clinical validation for the use of the score. Significant statistically correlations are found between CASCO and other validated indexes such as Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) and the subjective diagnosis of specialized oncologists. The aim of this study is to show the metric properties of CASCO in order to classify cachectic cancer patients into three different groups, which are associated with a numerical scoring: mild cachexia (15 = X = 28), moderate cachexia (29 = X = 46) and severe cachexia (47 = X = 100). In addition, a simplified version of CASCO, MiniCASCO (MCASCO), is also presented and it contributes as a valid and easy-to-use tool for cachexia staging. A very significant estimated correlation between CASCO and MCASCO suggests that MCASCO might constitute an easy and valid tool for the staging of the cachectic cancer patients. On the other hand, this work also presents the Animal Cachexia Score (A-CASCO). ACASCO is an adaptation of the CASCO scale maintains the five components of this scale but designed for use in experimental models of cachexia. The models used to develop the A-CASCO were the Yoshida AH-130 ascites hepatoma model, Lewis Lung Carcinoma and Colon Adenocarcinoma C26. A-CASCO analyzed five main factors: weight loss and weight decreased muscle Gastrocnemius, where A-CASCO analyzed the percentage of body and muscle weight loss; inflammatory and metabolic disturbances, where plasma levels of IL-6, serum amyloid A, albumin, glucose, lactate, urea and triglycerides were analyzed; anorexia or the percentage of food intake reduction; physical performance, where A-CASCO analyzed the handgrip strength and total physical activity reductions; and quality of life, where A-CASCO evaluated the signs of distress and the intruder-resident paradigm and forced swim test reductions. As signs of distress, closed eyes, piloerection, chromodacryorrhea and lack of movement were analysed. Cachexia prevention represents an important factor in cancer treatment, affecting not only survival but also the efficacy of anti-cancer treatment and quality of life. The goal of the Animal CAchexia SCOre (A-CASCO) is to overcome the problem of cachexia staging in experimental animals and consequently in humans.
