Abstract:
This study indicates important factors in related to Chinese international students who graduated from Malaysia have better ‘employability’ upon returning to China employment market. Total survey of 160 samples collected from the target group, the Chinese graduates who study in Malaysia and now working in China. The direct model result found that educational and learning activities (H1) and soft skills (H2) have a significant impact on graduate’s employability. Moreover, the findings also found the mediation role of graduate’s English proficiency scored at 0.1595 (H3) and 0.1293 (H4) between educational and learning activities, soft skills and employability. The findings enable education service providers and policy-makers identify more competitive variables in enhancing graduate employability in China market. Additionally, the result of this study also justified the important of English proficiency toward the employability of Chinese graduates in China.

Abstract:
This paper investigates importance and development of expertise and personal competencies of newly graduated engineers according to academic staff members, industrial employers and the graduated engineers themselves. The aim was to discover how graduated engineers perceive the importance of competencies at the time of graduation, and how various competencies have developed during their studies. For such purposes, a national-wide graduate survey was adopted as a basis for research. The results show that engineering degree programmes highlight theoretical foundation rather than generic competencies, whereas industrial employers favor personal competencies and attitudinal factors. Furthermore, according to graduates’ ratings, some competencies have developed more than appears to be necessary at the beginning of their career. These competencies were the most valued in degree programmes. Similarly, some competencies that were least valued in degree programmes were part of the least developed competencies in studies, but also part of the most important competencies for graduates.

Abstract:
The Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria) has trained more than 600 undergraduateand 200 Ph.D. students, becoming a reference in physics training at the Rio Grande do Sul central region. In this work we presenta gender analysis of the UFSM graduated students from both levels. The number of graduated students of the female gender hasbeen rising with time and is significatively bigger than the number observed nationally in both levels. The mean values are35 %, 37 %, 28 %, 42 % e 39 % for the courses physics teaching (daytime), physics teaching (nightime), physics, master anddoctorate, respectively. We also observe an increase in the participation of female students in graduate courses, when comparing to undergraduate courses, unlike what is observed in the national average numbers. Considering only the last 5 years the number of graduated students reaches 50 % in the physics teaching (daytime) and master courses. Although this study is of a local nature, it reinforces the need for the dissemination of data regarding the gender of graduates by all universities, allowing to conduct general gender studies.

Abstract:
This paper reports the results of a 1997–98 survey designed to explore the careers of the University of Michigan Law School's minority graduates from the classes of 1970 through 1996, and of a random sample of Michigan Law School's white alumni who graduated during the same years. It is to date the most detailed quantitative exploration of how minority students fare after they graduate from law school and enter law practice or related careers. The results reveal that almost all of Michigan Law School's minority graduates pass a bar exam and go on to have careers that appear successful by conventional measures. In particular, the survey indicates that minority graduates (defined so as to include graduates with African American, Latino, and Native American backgrounds) are no less successful than white graduates, whether success is measured by the log of current income, self-reported satisfaction, or an index of service contributions. Also, although an admissions index that combines LSAT scores and undergraduate grade-point average is a significant predictor of law school grades, it does not predict career success on any of our three outcome measures. Michigan is a highly selective law school; our results may not generalize to people who have graduated from other law schools.

Abstract:
This tracer study was designed to track National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) graduate nurses in their places of work with a view to ascertaining their level of professional competency and to explore employers’ expectation of graduate competencies. The study employed the descriptive survey design. Participants included 222 NOUN alumni who graduated in nursing programme and a corresponding 222 heads/top-level managers of the organizations where the graduate nurses were employed. Multiple instruments were used to collect data including competency test, survey questionnaire, and direct observation. A number of remarkable findings emerged from this study, both expected and unexpected. Majority of sampled graduates appeared to possess high level of professional competency in all three competency dimensions measured. A significant proportion of employers seemed to hold high perception regarding the graduates. In matching the employers’ perception of ODL graduates against actual competencies of NOUN graduate nurses with the use of quadrant analysis, the resulting values showed that a significant proportion of the graduates met and exceeded employer expectation.

Abstract:
This study expanded the work of Waite and Pettit (1993) and contacted 75 graduate programs for lists of names and addresses of students who graduated between 1989 and 1994 (N = 731). Doctoral (n = 92) and master (n = 162) graduates completed a tracking survey (modified from Waite & Pettit), reporting their demographics, educational backgrounds, current positions, incomes, initial and future career goals, and supervised experiences. The majority of doctoral graduates have found positions in academia/research, and most of the master graduates were in some sport or sport psychology-related job. The majority of the master and doctoral graduates, however, reported that finding paying sport psychology work was difficult, and many expressed at least moderate levels of frustration with the progress of their sport psychology careers. The information from this study could be useful for advising current and potential graduate students about career options after graduation.

By the end of 1990, at least three hundred Aboriginal and Islander people had graduated in South Australian tertiary institutions, from associate diploma level and above. In 1990, the annual graduation rate surpassed forty, the great majority at three-year level or above, including at least one Honours, one doctorate and graduates in architecture and law. The eight-fold increase in graduate numbers over the total up to 1980 reflects the active presence on campuses of Aboriginal/Islander-oriented support services and, even more so, of preparation programs: some three-quarters of all graduates had participated in some form of supplementary preparation.

Abstract:
A survey of the 13 master’s level and five doctoral level adapted physical education programs that received federal funding in the United States in 1998 was conducted to develop a profile describing their attributes. The response rate was 100% (N = 18). Results indicated that these programs, in general, had received funding for more than 15 years, offered coursework from an average of three different academic disciplines, had a high graduate employment rate within 12 months of graduation, and had about one third of the graduates representing a recognized minority group. Master’s level teacher preparation programs were concentrated in the eastern region of the U.S., had graduates with predominantly in-state home addresses, and had graduated predominantly females. Doctoral level leadership programs were geographically distributed across the U.S., had graduates with predominantly out-of-state home addresses, and had equal graduate representation from both genders.

Abstract:
ObjectiveWhile previous studies have begun to explore newly graduated junior doctors’ preparedness for practice, findings are largely based on simplistic survey data or perceptions of newly graduated junior doctors and their clinical supervisors alone. This study explores, in a deeper manner, multiple stakeholders’ conceptualisations of what it means to be prepared for practice and their perceptions about newly graduated junior doctors’ preparedness (or unpreparedness) using innovative qualitative methods.DesignA multistakeholder, multicentre qualitative study including narrative interviews and longitudinal audio diaries.SettingFour UK settings: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.ParticipantsEight stakeholder groups comprising n=185 participants engaged in 101 narrative interviews (27 group and 84 individual). Twenty-six junior doctors in their first year postgraduation also provided audio diaries over a 3-month period.ResultsWe identified 2186 narratives across all participants (506 classified as ‘prepared’, 663 as ‘unprepared’, 951 as ‘general’). Seven themes were identified; this paper focuses on two themes pertinent to our research questions: (1) explicit conceptualisations of preparedness for practice; and (2) newly graduated junior doctors’ preparedness for the General Medical Council’s (GMC)outcomes for graduates. Stakeholders’ conceptualisations of preparedness for practice included short-term (hitting the ground running) and long-term preparedness, alongside being prepared for practical and emotional aspects. Stakeholders’ perceptions of medical graduates’ preparedness for practice varied across different GMC outcomes for graduates (eg, Doctor as Scholar and Scientist, as Practitioner, as Professional) and across stakeholders (eg, newly graduated doctors sometimes perceived themselves as prepared but others did not).ConclusionOur narrative findings highlight the complexities and nuances surrounding new medical graduates’ preparedness for practice. We encourage stakeholders to develop a shared understanding (and realistic expectations) of new medical graduates’ preparedness. We invite medical school leaders to increase the proportion of time that medical students spend participating meaningfully in multiprofessional teams during workplace learning.

Abstract:
This paper uses a variety of recent sources of information to explore the labour market experiences of those who gained a degree in the 1980s and 1990s. Specifically, we address the issue of ‘overeducation’ — the view that the expansion of higher education in the 1990s created a situation in which increasing numbers of graduates were unable to access employment that required and valued graduate skills and knowledge. Two complementary approaches to this issue are adopted. We review available evidence on the graduate earnings premium and change in the UK occupational structure, and we conduct a detailed examination of the earnings and characteristics of jobs done by a large sample of 1995 graduates seven years after graduation. We conclude that, while there may have been a decline from the high premium enjoyed by older graduates, for those who graduated in 1995 the average premium was holding up well, despite the expansion. Although we found differences between established graduate occupations and the newer areas of graduate employment, our evidence suggests that the development of new technical and managerial specialisms and occupational restructuring within organisations has been commensurate with the availability of an increased supply of highly qualified people.

Abstract:
This study examined the relationship between attending one of the nine New York City (NYC) selective specialized public high schools and graduating from an honors college with a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degree, compared with honors college graduates who attended any other high school. A causal-comparative study design was applied. The participants consisted of 1,647 graduates from seven honors colleges, from 2011 to 2015, in the northeastern United States. Of the 1,647 graduates, 482 students graduated from NYC selective specialized public high schools and 1,165 students graduated from other high schools. The study found a significant difference ( p < .05) between the two groups. A larger percentage of NYC selective specialized public high schools graduated with a STEM degree from an honors college than students from other high schools. These results support the positive relationship between attending a NYC selective specialized public high school and graduating with a STEM degree from an honors college. Results and implications are discussed.

Thirty-six students have graduated with a Graduate Diploma of Applied Science (Health Information Management) from the University of Sydney since the course was introduced in 1992. A survey of graduates was conducted to examine the extent to which they believed the course had provided them with sufficient knowledge and skills to become effective health information management practitioners. Options for changes to the course were also explored in the questionnaire. The results demonstrated that graduates strongly supported the existing curriculum. Increased opportunities for practical experience were suggested by many respondents. There was not strong support for an option to increase the length of the course. However, the option to commence study in January and undertake some classes in the inter-semester break was viewed positively by 68% of the graduates.

Abstract:
Introduction: There are two prevailing perceptions among urology residents (1) fellowship training is becoming a requirement after residency, and (2) there are few job opportunities after graduation. In this study, we examine postgraduate training patterns and employment choices of urology residents. Methods: All Canadian urology program directors provided a summary of fellowship training and employment of Canadian residents graduating between 1998 and 2009. Logistic regression models were used to detect linear trends. Results: In total, 258 Canadian urology residents graduated over the study period, with a median of 22 (interquartile range 21-22) graduating per year. Of these, 72% completed a fellowship. Of these fellowships, 62% included protected research time. The most common subspecialty area was minimally invasive surgery (MIS)/endourology (39% of fellowships). There was a significant increase in fellowship training over time (p < 0.0001); this was mostly due to an increase in MIS/endourology fellowships. The number of urologists obtaining graduate degrees after medical school has increased significantly over the study period. Almost all graduates are employed. Of the employed graduates in total, 34% are academic urologists. Among all graduates, 50% are practicing within 100 km of their residency site, 16% are practicing in the United States and 22% are in rural practice. There has been no significant change over time in the proportion of residents practicing within 100 km of their training program, practicing rurally, leaving their province of training, practicing in the United States, or choosing academic practice. Conclusions: Fellowship training, especially in MIS/endourology, has become significantly more common. Graduate degrees are more frequently being obtained. We did not find evidence that there has been a significant change in a urology resident’s ultimate ability to obtain employment upon graduation.

Abstract:
The quality of universities, especially study programs in Indonesia is measured based on accreditation conducted by BAN PT. According to BAN PT the quality is measured based on 7 main standards, one of them is Student and Graduate. One of the problems that still be the subject of discussion related to student failure is about the students who graduated not on time. Students graduating not on time are students who can not complete their studies in accordance with the provisions of time given. The existence of a graduate student is not timely of course cause problems and potentially drop out that affect the quality of education and accreditation. A system that predicts students' graduation is required by evaluating their learning outcomes. The timeliness of graduating students can be done with data mining techniques to find graduation patterns of students who have graduated which then used as a basis to predict students' graduation in the next year. This study showed that Naïve Bayes was able to classify the correct data testing on average by 86.16% and 13.84% error. In addition, other information obtained from the data testing used that the students who entered from the PMDK Pass graduated on time as much as 40%, other paths graduated on time by 26.7%, and pass filter exam on time 13.3%.

It can be said that the place where they work is in accordance with their skill background. However, many of them still receive a very low salaries. Many of Ther salaries are under one million. For them, it does not matter, the most important thing for them is they can work and they can apply their skills. Most of them are not too long to get the first job after graduated their studi, because before they graduate from their collage, they have started to look for a job.

Abstract:
Graduate job placement is an important issue for emergency management higher education programs, practitioners, and students. Yet, despite considerable discussion about the topic, no line of empirical research has emerged. This article begins to address this gap by reporting the findings of an exploratory study that examined the actual job placement of students who recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in emergency management and the extent to which their placement was consistent with their intent. This study found that the vast majority of recent graduates are indeed securing jobs they want, but, for about half, the jobs they want are not emergency management. There is significant diversity in the career-paths and sectors being pursued by graduates. This article discusses the potential implications of these findings as well as the critical need for further research in this area.

Abstract:
This study attempts to examine the relationship between risk tolerance and self-efficacy in entrepreneurial intention. A convenient sampling method was applied to select respondents. Self-structured questionnaires were used to collect the data. Out of the 180 questionnaires distributed to the graduated and post-graduate management students in Kathmandu valley, only 140 questionnaires were received and this study is based on the analysis of them. Descriptive and correlation research designs had been used to analyze them. The study concludes that risk tolerance capacity does not influence the students' intentions to start a new business. This result shows somehow inverse results than other previous studies. However, the study concludes that self-efficacy was important in determining the entrepreneurial intentions of graduates and post-graduate students. This result supports the previous study. Therefore, self-efficacy is to take positively related to entrepreneurial intention.

Abstract:
Learning activities employed in out-of-school learning activities (OOSLA) provide students with a different learning experience while enabling teachers to discover, implement, and evaluate different teaching approaches. This study intends to investigate the self-efficacy beliefs levels of teachers as regards OOSLA and whether these self-efficacy levels differ significantly depending on their gender, graduated faculty, educational status, seniority, and department graduated from. It adopts the descriptive survey design. The sample is composed of 308 teachers. The data were collected utilizing the "Teachers' Self-Efficacy Beliefs Toward Out-of-School Learning Activities Scale''. Parametric test statistics were used in data analysis. The results revealed that teachers had a high level of self-efficacy beliefs regarding OOSLA and that gender was not a determinant of teachers' self-efficacy beliefs. It was also found that the participants who completed graduate studies had firmer self-efficacy beliefs than those who did not. The teachers with 21 years and above of teaching experience had higher self-efficacy levels than those with 6-10 and 11-15 years of teaching experience. On the other hand, graduates of mathematics and science education departments had lower self-efficacy levels than primary education, Turkish education, and social science education departments. Finally, researchers recommend encouraging pursuing graduate studies, collaborating with experienced teachers, eliminating institutional obstacles to out-of-school activities, and supporting teachers in increasing their self-efficacy regarding out-of-school learning activities.

Despite the increase in methodological sophistication and complexity of models being tested for international student adjustment to universities in the United States (U.S.), researchers often do not test or control for salient demographic differences between students, including their educational status (i.e., graduate or undergraduate) and country in which they graduated high school. The current study was designed to examine whether demographic variables are associated with a range of social outcomes. Participants ( N = 245) from 23 U.S. colleges and universities completed a survey in Fall 2017. Undergraduate students reported having a higher number of close friends at their institution than did graduate students; however, they also reported a lower sense of belonging than did graduate students. Students who graduated from high school in the United States reported less social support from international students at university. Implications for students and for future research are provided.

Graduate School IPB (SPs - IPB) has been established for a long time and is believed to produce high quality graduates and highly competitive. However, based on existing data recaps, there are a small number of students who did not graduate, either resigned or Drop Out (DO). It needs to be handled by conducting a selection process for prospective students based on the profile and educational background S1. One of them by applying the method of classification K - Nearest Neighbor (KNN). The response variable used is the success status of the study of prospective students, ie graduated and not graduated. While the explanatory variables used are the profiles and educational background of prospective students. There is an imbalance of data in the data obtained, where the class does not pass much less than the passing class. This can reduce the value of classification accuracy in minority class (sensitivity). So that the handling of data imbalance by using resampling method, either in the form of Random Over Sampling (ROS), Random Under Sampling (RUS), and Random Over-Under Sampling (ROUS). The result of comparison of evaluation result of KNN classification by using k = 1 to 6, resulted in greater sensitivity value when accompanied by the process of handling the data imbalance than without the process of handling the data imbalance, although the accuracy and specificity value becomes smaller. The greatest sensitivity value was obtained when applying the KNN classification method with k = 1, accompanied by the handling of data imbalance by the RUS method, with the mean and median sensitivity values of 0.89 and 0.90, respectively.

This tracer study aimed at getting an overview of the lecture program that had been obtained by the graduates, as well as the quality of graduates produced by the Department of Management. The target of this tracer study was the alumni of Management Department graduates in 2013 - 2015 and the stakeholders in this case were the service users of Management department graduates. The results of this study indicated that the graduates produced by the Management Department had an average waiting time of less than 12 months (1 year) to obtain a job. The types of jobs graduated from Management Department were mostly in the private sector, there was only one person who decided to become an entrepreneur. Most of the graduates earned 1 million rupiah - 3 million rupiah per month as the first income. Most graduates were satisfied with the aspects of learning gained during their study in Management Departments as well as the response about learning experience. Graduates were quite satisfied with the learning experience during the course in Management Department. The graduates complained about inadequate lecture facilities condition. It was certainly a serious significance to be addressed immediately. Most of the users of the graduates (stakeholders) were satisfied with the ability of management department graduates. Abstract:
Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the mobility of newly graduated nurses from regions where their nursing schools were located to regions where they took up their first jobs, and to identify factors influencing nurses' mobility. Methods: Data from the Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey, collected annually from 2010 to 2014 by the Korea Employment Information Service, were analyzed. The sample consisted of 1,488 graduates and 1,229 nurses who were employed on a full-time basis in hospitals. Multiple logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify factors associated with geographic mobility. Results: Among the nurses working in hospitals, 69.2% had their first jobs in their nursing school regions and 11.3% in their high school regions. Fifty-two percent of the nurses worked in the capital region; 47.2% thereof had moved from a non-capital region. Nurses were more likely to work in their nursing school region when they were female, were older, graduated from a high school located in their nursing school region, graduated from a college (vs. university), had a lower nursing school performance, and expected lower monthly wage, compared with those who left their nursing school region. Conclusion: Education and remuneration policies are required to reduce geographical mobility to the capital region.

Abstract:
The relationship between healthcare organizational accreditation and their leaders’ professional certification in healthcare management is of specific interest to institutions of higher education and individuals in the healthcare management field. Since academic program accreditation is one piece of evidence of high-quality education, and since professional certification is an attestation to the knowledge, skills, and abilities of those who are certified, we expect alumni who graduated from accredited programs and obtained professional certification to have a positive impact on the organizations that they lead, compared with alumni who did not graduate from accredited programs and who did not obtain professional certification. The authors’ analysis examined the impact of hiring graduates from higher education programs that held external accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Graduates’ affiliation with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) professional healthcare leadership organization was also assessed as an independent variable. Study outcomes focused on these graduates’ respective healthcare organization’s performance measures (cost, quality, and access) to assess the researchers’ inquiry into the perceived value of a CAHME-accredited graduate degree in healthcare administration and a professional ACHE affiliation. The results from this study found no effect of CAHME accreditation or ACHE affiliation on healthcare organization performance outcomes. The study findings support the need for future research surrounding healthcare administration professional graduate degree program characteristics and leader development affiliations, as perceived by various industry stakeholders.

Just last year, I joined a network group consisting of some former friends and colleagues from graduate school, and a growing number of other graduate anthropologists. During my graduate work, I maintained my longstanding career in business. Since completion of that work, I have seen other graduates struggle with how to obtain rewarding positions in anthropological work. I went through a period of wondering just when I would be able to use my Master's degree professionally. Those questions and many doubts combined with my daily career in business have engendered a change in some of my attitudes about business and about "how to do anthropology." Based on my business experiences lately, I believe I have learned that corporate America needs to employ anthropologists!

The results of follow-up studies conducted on individuals with behavioral disorders (BD) from two high school graduating classes are compared. One class (class of 1985) was graduated well after passage of Public Law 94–142, but before passage of IDEA (when transition planning became a federal requirement); the other class (class of 1993) was graduated after passage of IDEA. Two questions were addressed: (1) Were graduates with BD from the class of 1993 better off than their counterparts from the class of 1985 as young adults out of school 1 year? and (2) Should we be satisfied with the status of these individuals as young adults? The class of 1993 demonstrated better outcomes than the class of 1985 in several areas, but graduates with BD did not experience outcomes equal to those of their classmates without disabilities.

Abstract:
BackgroundIn several countries, studies have shown that fewer medical students choose rheumatology as specialty. In Morocco no study has yet focused on this subject.ObjectivesThe aim of our study is to assess the attractiveness of rheumatology as a specialty among Moroccan medical students, recently graduates and interns, and to analyze the factors that may be associated with it.MethodsAn online survey was sent to 297 medical students who had started their hospital practice, to 100 medical interns (students in 6th and 7th year who successfully passed the internship competition) and to 280 freshly graduated doctors (residency program candidates before choosing a medical or surgical specialty). The survey covered three areas: anonymous social and demographic informations, data on clinical trainee in a rheumatology department, and the attitude toward rheumatology as a specialty. Descriptive data were collected and Chi 2 Tests were used to assess differences between groups, Logistic regression was performed to investigate associations between demographic and exposure variables and the choice of rheumatology as a career.ResultsWe collected responses from 161 students (response rate: 54%), 68 interns (68%) and 89 freshly graduated doctors (32%). Abstract:
Purpose of the Study: To survey employment and training characteristics of Canadian radiation oncology training program graduates and foreign medical graduates with Canadian radiation oncology post-graduate education or specialist certification. Methods: A 38-question, web-based survey was distributed to radiation oncologists who completed specialty training between 2000-2010. Results: Out of 256 radiation oncologists contacted, 148 completed the survey (58% response rate). Thirty-two respondents (22%) were foreign MD graduates. One-hundred and fifteen respondents (78%) undertook fellowship training after residency. Many Canadian MD graduates (77%) and foreign MD graduates (34%) had staff positions in Canada, while 11% of all respondents had staff positions outside Canada, and 21% did not have a commitment for staff employment. Of the 31 respondents without a staff position, 22 graduated from Canadian residency training in 2009 or 2010, and 21 had completed medical school training in Canada. Conclusions: The majority of respondents were successful in securing staff positions in Canada. A sizeable proportion extended training with fellowships. New graduates may have more difficulty in finding Canadian staff positions in radiation oncology in the near future. Implications for specialty training programs and for an improved national strategy for physician resource planning are discussed.

Abstract:
The Graduate Program in Architectural Acoustics has been constantly advanced from its inception in 1998 with an ambitious mission of educating future experts and leaders in architectural acoustics, due to the rapid pace of change in the fields of architectural-, physical-, and psycho-acoustics, and noise-control engineering. Since years the program’s pedagogy using “STEM” (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) methods has been proven to be effective and productive, including intensive, integrative hands-on experimental components that integrate architectural acoustics theory and practice. The graduate program has recruited graduate students from a variety of disciplines including individuals with B.S., B.Arch., or B.A. degrees in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Architecture, Electronic Media, Sound Recording, Music and related fields. Graduate students under this pedagogy and research environment have been succeed in the rapidly changing field. RPI’s Graduate Program in Architectural Acoustics has since graduated more than 120 graduates with both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Under the guidance of the faculty members they have also actively contributed to the program’s research in architectural acoustics, communication acoustics, psycho-acoustics, signal processing in acoustics as well as our scientific exploration at the intersection of cutting edge research and traditional architecture/music culture. This paper illuminates the evolution and growth of the Graduate Program.

Abstract:
In the last twenty-five years, more than 100 astronomers have graduated from two astronomical departments in the Kingdom: one at King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh and the other in King Abdulaziz university (KAU) in Jeddah. About 15% to 20% of those graduated are now working in fields related to astronomy, among them five with Ph.D. degrees and three with M.Sc. degrees. Most of the other astronomy graduates are teaching mathematics, physics or general science in schools. The total number of academic staff in the two universities is ten Ph.Ds (five Saudis and five from abroad) and five research assistants, with no post-graduate students. Each department has a Celestron 14-inch (approx. 0.35m) with photo-counters, a 15-cm coudé refractor, solar laboratory, small planetarium and astronomical measuring instruments. In addition, KAU has a CCD camera, while KSU has a double telescope with 45cm Ritchey-Chrétien optics and a 24cm Schmidt telescope. All these observational facilities are located near the universities, where light pollution is very high and limits the observations. There is a plan to move the KSU double telescope away from Riyadh. Because of a lack of students and Saudi teaching staff, and cuts in the budget for universities, it is planned to turn the two astronomy departments into groups in the respective physics departments.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the influence of learning motivation and student interest based on the background of the school are students who graduated from high school and vocational school graduates in the mathematics course II of the student learning outcomes are known from the Study Results Sheet (LHS) students. The research method used is quantitative research using expost facto approach. Population in this research is PGSD student of Bung Hatta University class of 2016. The sample was taken as many as 40 students covering 20 students with background from high school and 20 students from school background from SMK. The value of learning motivation and student learning interest obtained from the questionnaire and the value of student learning outcomes obtained from LHS. . Meanwhile, to know the effect of motivation on the results of study used F-test data analysis techniques. In the hypothesis test obtained that high school graduate student obtained F value is 3.603 with probability 0.048 <0.05. Because probabiltasnya less than 0.05 then H0 rejected means there is influence of learning motivation and interest in learning on high school graduate students. For students of SMK graduates obtained the value of F = 0.784 with probability 0.473> 0.05 then H0 accepted means there is no influence of motivation and interest in learning on students who graduate SMK

Abstract:
Judging from the realm of Islamic Religious Education graduates, they have a graduate profile that is expected to be a center in education that produces superior Islamic Educators. However, in reality, there are students who graduate from Islamic Religious Education who have a background as educators or education graduates who prefer to work in non-educational fields. The impact of this phenomenon itself can lead to other phenomena, so this study seeks to provide a description of how this phenomenon can occur and of course this is influenced by several factors in decision making, decision-making styles and what difficulties are faced after making a decision to work in a non-profit sector. education. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Sources of data came from 10 students who graduated from Islamic Religious Education UNP who worked in the non-educational field by conducting in-depth interviews. The results of the interviews were analyzed systematically with four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Overall, the results of the analysis show that the internal factors that influence the decision making of PAI graduate students are interests and talents, as well as personality. Then three external factors that influence, namely: 1) parents, 2) environment, 3) salary/financial. Meanwhile, there are two decision-making styles used by PAI graduate students, namely the rational style and the intuitive style.

Abstract:
Last year I was a Visiting Lecturer in the Aboriginal Studies Program at Armidale C.A.E. Before lectures began, I was invited by the College to a dinner honoring recently graduated Aboriginal students. At that dinner a number of graduates were introduced and invited to comment about their experiences in tertiary education. As each graduate spoke, it became apparent that many had shared similar experiences. For instance, many confided that they were initially very apprehensive about enrolling in formal schooling. Their apprehension was due to a sense of self-doubt as to whether they were willing to make the necessary sacrifices, as well as to a shared premonition that, as one student commented, “for most Aboriginal people, going through formal schooling is like taking a journey into the unknown.”
