Abstract:
ABSTRACT We identified a gene cluster that is involved in the γ-resorcylate (2,6-dihydroxybenzoate) catabolism of the aerobic bacterium Rhizobium sp. strain MTP-10005. The cluster consists of the graRDAFCBEK genes, and graA, graB, graC, and graD were heterologously expressed in Escherichia coli. Enzymological studies showed that graD, graA, graC, and graB encode the reductase (GraD) and oxygenase (GraA) components of a resorcinol hydroxylase (EC 1.14.13.x), a maleylacetate reductase (GraC) (EC 1.3.1.32), and a hydroxyquinol 1,2-dioxygenase (GraB) (EC 1.13.11.37). Bioinformatic analyses suggested that graE, graR, and graK encode a protein with an unknown function (GraE), a MarR-type transcriptional regulator (GraR), and a benzoate transporter (GraK). Quantitative reverse transcription-PCR of graF, which encodes γ-resorcylate decarboxylase, revealed that the maximum relative mRNA expression level ([5.93 ± 0.82] × 10−4) of graF was detected in the total RNA of the cells after one hour of cultivation when γ-resorcylate was used as the sole carbon source. Reverse transcription-PCR of graDAFCBE showed that these genes are transcribed as a single mRNA and that the transcription of the gene cluster is induced by γ-resorcylate. These results suggested that the graDAFCBE genes are responsible as an operon for the growth of Rhizobium sp. strain MTP-10005 on γ-resorcylate and are probably regulated by GraR at the transcriptional level. This is the first report of the γ-resorcylate catabolic pathway in an aerobic bacterium.

Graf merupakan suatu (V, E) dengan V adalah himpunan simpul dan E adalah himpunan edge, yaitu pasangan simpul dari V. Jika G adalah graf terhubung, jarak antara dua simpul u dan v di G dinotasikan dengan adalah panjang lintasan terpendek di antara keduanya. Untuk himpunan terurut dari simpul-simpul dalam graf terhubung G dan simpul v pada V(G), representasi dari v terhadap W dinotasikan untuk setiap simpul v pada V(G) berbeda, maka W disebut himpunan resolving dari V(G). Jika r(v|W) untuk setiap simpul v V(G) berbeda, maka W disebut himpunan pembeda dari V(G). Himpunan pembeda dengan kardinalitas minimum disebut himpunan pembeda minimum (basis metrik), dan kardinalitas dari basis metrik tersebut dinamakan dimensi metrik dari G dinotasikan dim(G). Operasi korona pada dua buah graf G dan H, dinotasikan dengan G H, didefinisikan sebagai graf yang diperoleh dari salinan p-simpul graf G untuk setiap simpul di Hi. Dengan kata lain, automorfisme graf G merupakan suatu permutasi dari himpunan titik-titik V(G) atau sisi-sisi dari graf G, E(G) yang menghasilkan graf yang isomorfik dengan dirinya sendiri. Jika j adalah suatu automorfisme dari G ke G dan v V(G) maka ntuk mencari automorfisme pada suatu graf, biasanya dilakukan dengan menentukan semua kemungkinan fungsi yang satu-satu, onto, dan isomorfisme dari himpunan titik pada graf tersebut. Dimensi partisi dari graf G, dinotasikan pd(G) adalah partisi pembeda dari G dengan kardinalitas paling minimum. Pada artikel ini, graf yang dikaji adalah graf yang diperoleh dari hasil operasi comb antara dua graf terhubung yaitu graf Lingkaran Cn dan Lintasan Pk. Misalkan o adalah suatu titik dari Pk. Operasi comb antara Cn dan Pk adalah graf yang diperoleh dengan mengambil 1 graf Cn dan |V(Cn)| buah graf Pk dan menempelkan titik o dari Pk pada titik ke-i dari Cn. Kami menyajikan hasi bahwa dimensi partisi dari graf operasi comb antara Cn dan Pk sama dengan dimensi partisi graf Cn dimana o adalah titik berderajat 1. Abstract:
Let G be a connected and undirected graph. Vertex coloring in a graph G is a mapping from the set of vertices in G to the set of colors such that every two adjacent vertices have different colors. There are many types of vertex coloring, such as complete coloring, k-differential coloring, and equitable coloring. Equitable coloring of G is a vertex coloring of G that satisfies the condition that for each induced color class it has an equitable cardinality with difference 0 or 1. The minimum number of colors used for such coloring of G is called the equitable chromatic number of G, denoted by χe(G). In this study, we only concern with graphs that have a central vertex, which means a vertex that is adjacent to every other vertex, in particular on the star graph (Sn), lollipop graph (Ln), and friendship graph (fn). This research aims to formulate the equitable chromatic number of the star graph (Sn), lollipop graph (Ln), and friendship graph (fn). The first step taken in this research is to apply vertex coloring to Sn, Ln, and fn. After that, the color classes of the vertex set are obtained and its cardinality is determined. Next, analyze that the applied vertex coloring meets the definition of equitable coloring. Then, prove that the number of colors used is minimum. Thus, the chromatic number for each graph is obtained and proved. Based on this research, the equitable chromatic number of Sn is ⌈n/2⌉ + 1, the equitable chromatic number of Ln is n, and the equitable chromatic number of fn is 3, for n = 1 and n + 1, for n ≥ 2.

Suatu graf yang mempunyai himpunan dominasi total belum tentu memiliki himpunan invers dominasi total. Untuk kasus tersebut, bilangan invers dominasi total juga tidak dapat ditentukan. Pada artikel ini, ditentukan bilangan invers dominasi total dari beberapa kelas graf yaitu graf helm tertutup, graf gear, graf roda ganda dan graf antiweb-gear.

It is the aim of Part I of this thesis, the Introduction, to introduce David Zvi Hoffmann (1843-1921) in his capacity of a Bible scholar and a critic of 19th century German biblical criticism. Ample attention will be devoted to Hoffmann's own background, his German environment as well as that of Wellhausen. This will cover Sections I and III of the Introduction respectively. In order to be able to place Hoffmann's work within the proper context, Section II of the Introduction will explore the history of the general critical reception of the Hebrew Bible in the various cultures and eras where it played a role as well as its interaction with intellectual developments. Part II contains an annotated translation of Hoffmann's attack on Wellhausen's "documentary hypothesis."
